“You can’t kill her fucking father man,” Danilo told him.

Deon started up the car and pulled away. He was mad that he had only seen Jess once and was pissed that she would let some bitches jump her when she knew she was pregnant with his child. He was for sure going to speak with her about that shit.

“Fuck that nigga. If he tries to keep her away from me I will. I’m more concerned about theses hoes that fucked up my baby. Call up Nitti and see where he got them at,” he replied.

As Danilo called Nitti for an eta on Sienna and her friends, Torie called Deon. Deon answered the call.

“Torie, why the fuck you keep blowing up my phone?”

Torie sat on her bed and touched her big stomach.

“Deon, I keep getting calls about your side bitch. What the hell is going on? I thought you said you was through with her.”

Deon smiled. He really wondered sometimes if Torie was retarded or not. She was constantly trying to change him into a man that he would never be.

“I ain’t never tell you no shit like that and what I say when we fucking don’t count so stop using that shit against me. Jess is having my baby Torie. You and her are going to have to find a way to get along. What you not going to do is call her a bitch because she don’t disrespect you like that.”

Danilo laughed at how his cousin seemed to naturally run game on women. It was really something to see.

“Are you serious nigga? You got me all the way fucked up! You done went and got this young bitch pregnant and you telling me to be nice to her. You are so fucking selfish. I’m having your son, I should be your number one. It probably was you that had Tiffany jumped. What you got mad that she told your bitch about me?”

“He got them at the trap on Stansbury,” Danilo told Deon.

Deon nodded and headed that way.

“Actually I did. That little hoe you call a sister is one loud-mouthed little bitch. She better be happy I didn’t send my niggas to run through her ass and split that loose pussy all the way open. She got saved off the strength of you but I bet she’ll think twice about telling my fucking business. I really don’t have time for this shit Torie. I got love for you no doubt but if you don’t like the way shit is going then you are free to stop fucking with me. You gotta move up out of my shit and leave my cars too but you can go. Jess would gladly take your place and move right in,” Deon said knowing his words would hurt her.

Torie’s heart felt as if it had broken into a million pieces. She cried as she held the phone close to her ear. Deon was getting worse and she didn’t see him getting any better anytime soon. She was starting to hate the very ground he walked on.

“Whatever Deon,” she replied and ended the call.

“Yeah like I thought,” Deon said putting his phone away.

“Nigga you’s a fool, I swear!” Danilo said laughing.

  Deon chuckled.

“I’m serious. I have no time to lie to a bitch. Either you love me for who I am or leave me the fuck alone. Torie ain’t going nowhere and neither is Jess.”

“You sure Jess gone take what Torie do? Jess be bouncing on your ass when y’all get into it.”

Deon nodded because he had also noticed how Jess seemed to be okay without him. He expected her to call him after their blow up over the baby but she didn’t. That really didn’t sit well with him. She had too much fucking pride and he knew he was going to have to knock that shit right up out of her.

“Yeah she do be on her own shit but I’ll change that. When I say I’ma have her so dependent on me that she gone need me in the bathroom to take a shit, I am. My baby in her stomach is a clear sign that she is about to moving right into that apartment. Fuck her parents, shit they don’t love her ass anyway. All she need is me,” Deon replied.

Danilo only smiled. He knew that once his cousin wanted something there was no stopping him. Deon and Danilo rode the rest of the way silently as he went to one of his spots off of Fenkell. Deon pulled into the driveway of the modest looking two-story home and drove to the back. His body was starting to fill with adrenaline at what was to come for Sienna and her friends. He had no problem putting Jess or any woman in their place but he would never allow for another woman to confront someone he was serious with. Jess was a big deal to him, someone he felt for, and he would never give her up for a hoodrat like Sienna that all of his boys in the hood had sampled.

“Man, let’s make this quick so I can get back to Jess. I need to talk with her,” Deon said as they exited the car.

Danilo nodded and tossed on his hood. Danilo followed Deon through the side door of the home and they could hear rap music playing. Deon locked the home up and went down to the basement. Sienna and her five friends sat tied to chairs with their mouths taped. Deon wondered what he would do. Killing six women would definitely make the hood hot but he wanted them to also know that he was not to be fucked with. He licked his lips and ran a hand over his mouth while Sienna stared up at him with regretful eyes.

Deon walked over to her and pulled the tape away from her mouth. She cried out from the pain of her small hairs being pulled away and looked at him.

“Deon I didn’t do shit,” she lied.

Deon smiled and rubbed her cheek. She was really a cute girl she just didn’t know her worth. She liked attention and did whatever to get it. She was obviously looking for something in the streets that she wasn’t getting at home. She was twenty-two with three kids. Damaged goods were what Deon saw when he looked at her. Her body was nice but her pussy had too many miles on it for him to ever call her more than a jump off.

“Sienna, my nigga Black told me that you was up at his crib amped up and shit bragging about fighting my bitch. The same person that’s carrying my fucking child in her stomach. Bitch you must have woke up with a death wish,” he said saying the last part through gritted teeth. Before Sienna could reply, he kept talking.

“I have never even bought you a fucking burger. Just because I fucked you two or three days out the week didn’t mean you was my bitch. Have I ever told you I cared about you? We fucked and that was it Sienna. You fucked that all up when you decided to bring your ass to my spot. You wanted to be relevant to me and bitch you got your wish. Aye Nitti, bring down “Big Nasty!” Deon yelled with his hands by his mouth.

Sienna and her friends all started to cry at Deon’s words. Every young and old woman in the hood knew who “Big Nasty” was. He was the neighborhood horn dog. He paid for sex regularly and word was that he had Herpes. Sienna shook her head as she looked at Deon. He just smiled down at her with a devilish grin.

“Somebody called me,” “Big Nasty” asked walking down the steps.

Sienna and her friends eyed the 6’0 feet three, one-hundred and fifty pound man. He was wearing basketball shorts and house shoes. His face was tolerable but his gut and bubble lips made the young women cringe. “Big Nasty” looked at them with his mouth watering. He usually had to pay a lot of money to get women as pretty as them to have sex with him. Now he was about to fuck them for free because they had fucked with Deon.

“Aye is you active? You got a sore?” Deon asked stepping away from “Big Nasty” and finding a seat against the wall. He sat down as “Big Nasty” stripped down. Nitti, Deon’s worker brought down an air mattress and all of the girls started to shake.

“Yeah, I told Nitti that I did. You’s a sick motherfucka,” “Big Nasty” said a little ashamed of his STD status. He usually practiced safe sex because he didn’t want other people to have what he had but at $5000 a girl he would give them whatever Deon wanted.

“I’m nasty?” Deon chuckled, says the man with a sore dick. Fuck those bitches good and start with Sienna’s ass since she wanna fight people and shit. Bitch probably thought she did something until that ass got snatched up right outside her house. Sienna now you can finally tell your girls I gave you something,” Deon said smiling at her.

Danilo couldn’t help but to laugh as he untied Sienna. Deon and “Big Nasty” joined in
with him. Deon got comfortable because he knew it was going to be a long night.

  Chapter Nine

  “Yeah, she’s pregnant I heard.”

  “By who? Deon?”

“Uh, duh! Look at her fucking coat. She’s wearing a mink.”

Jess rolled her eyes and walked faster out of the school. She was a month fresh off of being attacked. Homecoming came and went and Jess couldn’t even go because she had been too sick to attend. Her body was changing in ways that she hadn’t expected and she rarely had energy to do anything. School was getting harder and harder to attend. Then she had her parents on her back begging her to stop seeing Deon but she couldn’t. He was the father of her unborn child. How could she get him locked up?

“Aye Jess, wait up!” Sabeen yelled running up with Mauri.

Mauri caught the attention of every girl that he passed but his only focus was on Jess. He was still furious with her for getting pregnant by Deon but he was in love with her also so he couldn’t stay away for long.

“Hey Maurice and Sabeen,” Jess said with an attitude.

She wanted to be happy like all of the other seniors but she just couldn’t. She had too many things on her mind to be happy.

“Maurice? Don’t call me that shit Jess. Stop frowning and come here,” Mauri said pulling her into a hug.

Jess hugged Mauri for a moment before pulling back. She didn’t want word to get back to Deon that she was hugging up on someone else. He seemed to know everything that she did.

“I’m going to New York to handle some things. Can you hang out with me tonight? ‘Bean already agreed to come,” he said grabbing Jess’s hand.

Jess wanted to go home and sleep but the hopeful look in Mauri’s eyes made her nod her head. Sabeen smiled hoping that Mauri could be enough to take Jess away from Deon.

“Then it’s settled let’s go hang!” Sabeen said excitedly.

Jess smiled and pulled her hand away from Mauri. She went to her car with Sabeen and they followed Mauri and his teammate Dolph to Mauri’s house. Mauri’s parents owned a beautiful home in a gated community by the water off of Jefferson in Downtown Detroit. He even had a few boats that his father often took out onto the Detroit River. Both of his parents were college professors and often gone so he wasn’t surprised to see them gone when he pulled up to his house.

Mauri parked and Jess pulled behind him and parked. Jess and Sabeen followed Mauri and Dolph into the beautiful home. Mauri took them to the basement that was pretty much his haven and turned on the television. Dolph and Sabeen got comfortable while Jess and Mauri sat on the other side of the basement near the pool table. Mauri wanted Jess to himself because he knew his time was limited with her.

“What are you looking at?” Jess asked taking her black mink bomber off.

Mauri looked Jess over and sighed. She was so beautiful and so smart. Why in the hell was she with Deon? He didn’t wanna believe it was the money but Jess was slowly becoming a beauty queen before his very own eyes. He knew that whether she wanted to admit it or not she enjoyed Deon’s lavish gifts and lifestyle.

“How are you since that bullshit went down at the restaurant?” he asked referring to when she was jumped.

Jess sighed and looked away from Mauri. Why did he have to bring that mess up? She thought.

“I’m good Mauri and so is my baby. I had to stay on bed rest for a few days but I’m good now and I’m happy with Deon,” she replied.

Mauri nodded happy to hear about the baby being okay and leaned towards Jess invading her space. He put his face into the crook of her neck and just breathed in her scent.

“That’s what you mouth saying but I can hear it ain’t all good in your voice. Why are you still with that nigga?” He asked.

Jess ignored his question and his intoxicating cologne. Mauri picked up on the way her body tensed up and he decided to pull back. He didn’t wanna push her away.

“Okay I’ma ease up on you. So tell me your plans for your life again?” he asked touching a lock of her straight hair that was parted down the middle and pulled behind her ears. It was growing so it was now touching the back of her neck.

  “Mauri...”

Jess was cut off by the ringing of her cellphone. She pulled it out and looked at the screen. She cleared her throat.

“Hi Deon,” she said answering the call.

Mauri let her hair go and stood up. He had no interest in hearing her talk to his competition. He walked off frowning.

“Jess….I miss you. What’s up? You not at either of the houses. Where you at?” he asked sitting on the edge of the bed that they shared in the apartment.

“I had to go to the library with ‘Bean,” Jess lied.

“She sees you more than I do. Have you thought about what I said? I need you with me. I promise if you do this I’ll stay at the apartment permanently baby.”

  “Deon...”

Jess thought about what he wanted and sighed. Why put her mother and father through something like an emancipation? Yet she did want Deon all to herself as well. She never asked about Torie because truthfully she was afraid to hear his answer but with her now being pregnant herself she felt like she had a right to but she was just waiting for the right time.

“Deon can we talk about it tomorrow?” she asked watching Mauri walk back over to her.

“Jess I’m not playing. I need you and my baby with me. They done had you for seventeen years already. What about me? They trying to get me fucking locked up. Don’t I give you everything that you want? You can’t do this one simple thing for me Jessenia? I don’t beg for shit but I will beg you for this baby.” Deon took a deep breath trying not to get mad. He knew that he needed to be calm and sweet to get what he wanted. “Okay, meet me here tomorrow as soon as you get out of school. I’ma be waiting,” he said and ended the call.

Jess put her phone away and Mauri sat down. He handed her a handful of college applications.

“Come on Jess let’s fill these out. Deon might give you clothes and jewelry but I wanna see you really grow. You can get all of that shit yourself as long as you get your education. New York got plenty of colleges,” he said smiling at her.

Jess smiled and with the help of Mauri filled out applications that she did in fact plan to send in. She just knew that going to any college in New York would be impossible for her because Deon would never allow that.

  ****

The next day Jess found herself walking into her apartment that she shared with Deon. Jess took her boots off along with her pea coat. She walked down the hall and went into the kitchen where she knew Deon would be. He had been eating as much as she had. Jess figured with two kids on the way he must have been having double the symptoms.

“Hey sexy momma,” Deon said and stuffed a cold cut into his mouth. He was standing near the counter with all of the sandwich ingredients still out.

Jess looked him over and smiled. He was looking better and better to her. Dressed in only dark grey basketball shorts Deon stood before her with his gym-trained body. His muscles were getting bigger and Jess couldn’t stop herself from staring at them. On his pecs were clouds with the words “Only God Can Judge Me” going across in cursive script. On his stomach was a tattoo of Jesus weeping. The shading and detail on all of his tattoos was amazing and Jess often stared at them because they were so beautiful to her. Also, really sexy.

“I see you did miss daddy,” Deon grinned licking his full lips.

He sat his sandwich down onto his plate and walked over to Jess. She was now three months pregnant while Torie was nearly at the end of her pregnancy journey ready to give birth at any day. The more time Deon spent with Torie the more he wished he could be with Jess. She was new to him and he was falling in love with her in his own way, which was big for him. He had never loved another woman besides his mother and female blood relatives.

“I missed your sexy ass too,” he whispered in Jess’s ear as he hugged her tightly.

  Jess melted into Deon’s arms.
Despite their ups and down he was still her dream man. She had fun with Mauri but it wasn’t the same. Deon stirred something inside of her that she had never felt before and it was only him that could bring it out. She felt like she was meant to be with him and vice versa. She just needed to know how serious he was with her before she filed court papers to be emancipated. She wasn’t going to go against her parents for nothing.

“Yes I did miss you. Let’s go out to eat,” Jess whined.

Jess had become spoiled whether she wanted to admit it or not. Deon smirked because he knew that he had created a little monster. He also knew that no other guy smiling in Jess’s face could compare to him. He could give her whatever she wanted. He had no limits to what he spent but a lot of other men and boys did. That thought alone made him feel secure with his position as the man in her life. Now he just needed her in his home permanently.

“Nah, we can do restaurants anytime ma. I’ma teach you how to cook my favorite foods and shit. You gotta be able to feed my son or daughter. Okay?” he asked pulling back.

Jess pouted and walked out of the kitchen. Deon wanted to snap on her but he knew he needed to play nice for now to get what he wanted.

“Change into something nice and we can go wherever you want with your spoiled ass,” he said finding her in the bedroom lying on the bed.

“Really? If you wanna stay in we can,” Jess said hoping he wouldn’t agree to her suggestion.

Deon just looked at Jess and shook his head. He walked out of the room chuckling. He finished his sandwich before getting dressed himself to take Jess out to eat. Jess and Deon matched with all black on. Deon wore his dark jeans with his Gucci loafers and his collared black short sleeve Gucci shirt. He wore his cross platinum chain that hung to his stomach while Jess wore black slacks with a black turtleneck and black knee high heeled boots. Deon stared at her as he sat on the edge of the bed. She was turning into everything that he knew she could be but he still saw so much more for her. He had never loved dressing a woman as much as he did Jess. She looked good in literally everything he bought her.
