“I want you too bad, Ava. I need you as naked as I am.”

She groaned, but stood when he pulled her to her feet.

  “I’m so sweaty,” she said.

“We’ve already established that I like you that way.”

“I like you that way too.”

He pulled her shirt over her head as she’d done with him, and then knelt in front of her, pulling down her shorts and panties. When he leaned forward to kiss her sex, Ava’s hands gripped his hair.

  “That’s not fair,” she moaned.

“I never promised to be fair,” he said, spreading her legs open and licking. “I want you open for me, baby.”

He only hesitated long enough to look in her eyes. When he saw the same amount of desire that he had for her, he tore his gaze from hers and feasted his eyes on the slick flesh between her legs.

“Do you want my mouth on you, Ava?”

She shook her head. “I want you inside me, Tabon,” she whimpered.

He licked her gently, groaning when her fingers twined again in his hair as he leisurely teased her with the tip of his tongue.

“Come for me, baby,” he told her. “Don’t hold anything back from me.”

  “I can’t…I need you…”

Razor accepted the challenge she didn’t know she’d given him, working her into a frenzy as he licked, laved, and suckled her flesh. His fingers fondled the swollen button of nerves at the top of her sex, and knew that, within seconds, she’d have no choice but to let go of her inhibitions and come all over his tongue.

“Scream for me, baby,” he urged. “Let me hear how much you love what I’m doing to you.”

Ava didn’t disappoint as she fell apart under the insistence of his mouth and hands. She rocked against him as she slowly came back down from heights of pleasure. He released her, and she fell back on the bed.

  “God…Tabon…I never…”

Before she could say any more, Razor sheathed himself in a condom and thrust into her tightness. He stopped and waited for her body to get accustomed to his girth.

“Tabon, I need more,” she groaned, holding the cheeks of his ass in her hands and forcing him deeper.

Her hands flew up to his chest, and her fingernails dug in as he felt her tightened around him.

  “I’m…oh God…I’m…”

“Go ahead, Ava. Let go. Let me feel you come on me.”

She clamped down on him, and yet, he wasn’t ready for this to end. As her body relaxed, Razor slowed his thrusts, driving into her.

When he felt her once again meeting his thrusts, Razor moved his hips faster.

“Look at me,” he demanded. “I want you to see the same pleasure on my face as I saw on yours.”

When her glassy eyes met his, Razor let himself go, knowing then it would be the best orgasm of his life.

“I could spend the rest of my life just like this,” he murmured as he rested beside her, “with you naked next to me.”

  “Tabon, that was…”

  “Yeah?”

  “Mindblowing.”

Razor rolled her to her side, so her back was to his front. He nestled his hardness between the cheeks of her ass, and started slowly moving against her. He reached around and pinched the nipples he’d yet to get his mouth on.

Ava moaned as she pressed back against him. She covered his hands with hers.

“Mmm, I think you like this,” he murmured, nipping at the soft skin on her neck. “You’re so responsive, Ava, so damn gorgeous as you give yourself to me.”

Razor moved one hand away from her breast, and she moaned. He smiled and reached for another condom.

“I want you on your hands and knees, baby.”

When she rolled and did as he asked, he twined his fingers in her hair and thrust into her with no hesitation. Her back arched as he held her in place so he could pound into her heat with his own rhythm.

Once again he roared his release, and when he did, he felt her shudder and come right along with him.

He let her roll to her back, and then raised his head to feast on her breasts. When his tongue toyed with her nipple, Ava squirmed.

  “Sensitive?” he asked, grinning.

“Yes,” she answered trying to cover her nipples with her hands.

“Uh, no,” he said, grasping her wrists and holding them in place while his tongue laved each nipple, going back and forth between the two.

He could do this for hours, sleep, and then do it all again. Razor wanted her in every way she’d let him have her, and he wanted it right now. What had she said? What if he had her and didn’t want her again? That was impossible. Razor knew he could never get his fill of Ava McNamara.

  11

Ava had gone to start the shower, and soon, he’d join her. First, he needed to check in with Gunner to make sure he’d taken Alegria off of the assignment.

“Hey, man,” he said when Gunner answered.

“Everything is taken care of,” he snapped.

  “What’s up?”

“There’s been some chatter. I think we were too sloppy when we took the girls to the house.”

“Do we need to change location?”

“I’d say the sooner you can, the better.”

“I want to take her to Yachats. Should we fly commercial?”

  “Fuck, no.”

  “What else is goin’ on?”

  “Nothin’.”

Razor wouldn’t push, but he’d known Gunner Godet for too many years to not know when he was lying.

  “Who’s comin’ along?”

  “Me and Monk for now.”

“Roger that,” he said. “I’ll be back in touch in a few.”

“We’ll meet you at the airfield.”

Razor disconnected the call and went into the bathroom where Ava was showering. He could see the lines of her drop-dead-gorgeous body through the steamy glass, and started to harden all over again.

Her eyes were closed as she wound shampoo through her long hair, and her body glistened where the water spread the lather.

“God, woman,” he growled, opening the door and joining her. He ran his hands over her slick skin, groaning again, knowing they didn’t have time to continue what they’d started earlier.

“Are you sore?” he asked. “I wasn’t exactly gentle.”

“A little,” she answered, her cheeks flushing under his intent gaze.

“Let me take care of you, baby,” he said, taking the soap from her hand and running it all over her body.

“I love the way you say that, Tabon,” she murmured, opening her eyes to gauge his reaction.

“I love the way you say my name. Especially when I’m buried deep inside you.”

He looked up at the ceiling, reminding himself again they didn’t have time for him to love on her body the way he wanted to.

He washed the soap from her neck and shoulders and then kissed each one, running his tongue up to just below her ear.

“We need to leave soon,” he murmured.

“Where are we going?” she asked with her eyes still closed, concentrating on the feel of his hands and lips.

“I’m taking you home with me.”

  “When?”

“As soon as we’re done in here. We’ll pack and then leave.”

  “I don’t think I ever unpacked.”

Razor smiled. “We need to get you some more clothes, baby.”

  “Why?”

Yeah. Why? He’d be perfectly happy having her naked twenty-four-seven.

  —:—

“Whose plane is that?” Ava asked when she looked out the window of the airfield’s terminal and saw a Bombardier.

  “K19’s.”

Her father had his own plane, but it was nowhere near as big as the one they were about to board.

“Let’s go,” Tabon said, motioning for her to go ahead of him.

“This is Onyx,” he said when the pilot greeted them at the end of the jetway. “And that’s Alegria.” He pointed to
a woman about to go into the cockpit.

“We’ll be in the air a little over two hours,” Onyx said before going into the cockpit himself.

  “Tabon, why—”

“She’s one of our pilots. She’s no longer on your detail, but we need her to co-pilot on this flight.”

Ava looked skeptical, but nodded her head.

“Have a seat, baby,” he told her, pointing to several in what looked more like a luxurious living room than the inside of an aircraft.

“We usually have a flight attendant, but I didn’t think it was necessary for such a short flight.”

“Are you going to tell me where we’re going?”

“We’re flying into Eugene, and then we’ll drive to the coast.”

  “Yachats?” she asked.

He nodded and smiled, making her mouth water.

The first time she saw him, he’d been in board shorts and a t-shirt. Him in a tuxedo at the wedding had almost brought her to her knees. Today he wore a simple pair of Levi’s jeans that showed off his ass, and his front too, but she couldn’t let her gaze linger there too long. She already yearned to be with him again, and it hadn’t been much more than an hour since he’d had his hands on her naked body.

The first two buttons of the burnt-orange Henley shirt that strained taut across his muscular chest were unfastened, and his black motorcycle boots looked well-used, but cared for at the same time.

Tabon exuded a power and confidence that made her long to walk into his arms and beg him to wake her up from the bad dream her life had recently become.

“Have a seat,” he said for the second time, obviously waiting for her to choose first. When she did, he sat beside her.

“Gunner should be here soon,” he said, looking at his phone. “I expected him to be here before we were.”

“He was,” said Onyx from the cockpit. “He said to tell you that he and Monk would be right back. Sorry, sir, it slipped my mind.”

Tabon nodded, but didn’t answer. He seemed distracted.

  “Everything okay?” she asked.

He nodded and looked up from his phone.

“We may need to rethink protection for your sister and your friends.”

  “Why?”

He hesitated, obviously struggling with what he could and couldn’t tell her.

“We shouldn’t have brought you to the duplex. None of you. That was my mistake.”

“Are you saying someone knew we were there?”

“Not necessarily, but from now on, I need to be more careful.”

Ava could see the worry etched on his face. She leaned over and rested her head on his shoulder.

“You’re too hard on yourself,” she murmured.

“How do you know exactly the right words to make me feel better?”

Did she? How was it that she could read his expressions after spending so little time with him?

“After we land, we’ll stop and get you some warmer clothes. If there’s anything else you need, that will be the time to get it.”

“What is your fixation with buying me clothes?”

He smiled. “You don’t have anything suitable for where we’ll be staying.”

  “There’s a dress code?”

Tabon laughed. “It’ll be colder than you might expect.”

  “You could keep me warm.”

“I plan to. You’ll still need long pants, warmer shirts, and at least one jacket.”

“I thought we were going to Oregon, not the Arctic.”

Gunner came aboard with someone Ava didn’t recognize.

  “Hello, sir,” said the man.

“Monk, meet Ava McNamara,” said Tabon.

The man shook her hand and sat next to Gunner in a seat across from them.

  “Gentlemen?” he said.

Gunner looked at her and then back at Tabon.

Ava got the hint and stood to move.

  “Where are you going?”

“I thought I’d sit over there,” she answered, pointing to another seat. “That way you can talk, or whatever.”

“I’ll talk, or whatever, with you next to me.”

“Raze…” said Gunner, but Tabon appeared to be ignoring him. Instead of answering, he ran his hand down her arm and intertwined her fingers with his.

  —:—

“We’ll talk later,” he said to Gunner, motioning for the two men to change seats.

“Go to sleep, Avarie,” he whispered once they’d moved. “You’ll need your rest.”

He knew as soon as she had. First, her breathing evened out, and then, she rested her head back on his shoulder. Razor shifted so he could put his arm around her, and then reclined both their seats as far as they would go. A few minutes later, snoring softly, she put her arm around his waist. Only then did he allow himself to drift off too.

He opened his eyes when he felt the plane begin its descent, and rested his head against the top of hers. She felt so good in his arms.

He felt his body come alive with the realization that the woman of his fantasies was once again snuggled up against him. He shifted a little, which only made things worse when her hand moved from his waist down to his hips and he could feel her breasts against his chest.

When her forearm moved against the now-straining zipper of his jeans and she softly moaned and snuggled closer, Razor almost jumped out of the seat. It was that, or strip them both naked and make whatever she was dreaming about a reality. Instead, he moved her arm away from his body, and turned so he could run his fingers down the side of her face.

He wanted to continue his exploration of her body by letting his fingers move from her cheek, down her neck to where her thin t-shirt was stretched tight over the lace of her bra, but knew that was the last thing he could do. Not with an audience, and not until he had all the time in the world to enjoy her breathtaking body.

“Time to wake up,” he said softly, not wanting to let her go.

“Tabon?” she said, rubbing her eyes. “Where are we?”

  “About to land.”

When she went to sit up, he held her close and kissed her forehead.

“We have five more minutes. Give it to me, Avarie,” he said.

  “Give you what?”

  “You, in my arms.”

  “Five more minutes,” she whispered.

Five turned into twenty, which was about how long he would’ve guessed it would take them to land and taxi to the terminal.

“We’re here,” he said when he felt the plane come to a stop and Onyx cut the engine.

Her cheeks flushed, and she sat up, unfastening her own seatbelt and looking to see if Gunner or Monk were nearby.

“They moved to the front,” Razor told her, smiling at her modesty.

“A car was delivered and is parked outside the hanger. Your luggage will be there shortly.”

“Thanks, Alegria,” he said when they were leaving the plane.

“We’ll be in touch,” she added.

“Message me your twenty when you and Onyx get situated,” he said.

“Roger that, sir,” she said, making eye contact with Ava, who was waiting for him just outside the plane on the jetway.

“Are they staying?” Ava asked as they walked through the small terminal.

“Not necessarily. I just need to know where the plane is.”

  “So…she’s a pilot.”

“One of three we employ. Also a former operative, but soon to be a K19 partner.”

“She has a French accent. Was she a spy?”

He nodded. She still was, but Razor wasn’t sure he could tell Ava that.

  “Is that her real name?”

  “No. It’s Manon Mondreau.”

“Wow. That’s her name? Sounds like a sexy jazz singer.”

  Razor smiled.

  “So you two never…”

“Had sex? We haven’t. I told you that before.”

  Ava nodded.

  “Why do you ask?”

  “The way sh
e looked at you.”

  “She’s a colleague, nothing more.”

  “Does she know that?”

  “I don’t understand.”

  “Are colleagues off limits?”

Not necessarily, but he’d never noticed Alegria express an interest in him.

  “Yes,” he answered instead.

“You might want to tell her that before you make her a partner.”

“Is this the only kind of car you drive?” Ava asked him when the golf cart delivered them to the hanger and she saw another Porsche Cayenne parked outside.

  Razor laughed. “Coincidence.”

Ava nodded, but he got the feeling she didn’t buy it.

“Hungry?” he asked after they left the airfield and were on the highway.

  “What time is it?”

“Four.” They hadn’t eaten since breakfast; she had to be as ravenous as he was.

  “Um…”

Razor smiled, waiting for her to continue.

“Where’s Gunner and the other guy?”

  “They went ahead.”

“Oh. Are they staying at your house too?”

“No, but they’ll be nearby. Answer my question, baby. Are you hungry?”

“You can pretty much assume the answer to that question will always be yes.”

Another thing he loved about her. She had an appetite and wasn’t afraid to eat when she was with him. So far, more than he did.

He loved her curves and softness, particularly now that he knew how it felt to sink deep inside of her.

“There’s a place I haven’t been to in years, but it’s been around forever, so I assume it’s still good.”

She smiled. “I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to food, Tabon.”

He pulled off the highway and took a side road up a hill. “The view is spectacular from here.”

Sweetwater was a restaurant he visited often with his grandmother. It had been one of her favorites, and he hadn’t set foot in it since she passed away.

He parked and walked around to open her door, thinking how he never imagined eating here again, and yet, now, it was important to him to share it with Ava.

“It is spectacular,” she gasped, looking out at the three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view of rolling hills of vineyards.
