“Yes,” she said in a moan. “Fuck me harder. Do whatever you want. I want to feel your cock come in me.”
Her dirty words drove him further and spurred him on. He grabbed her waist with a firm grip and thrusted into her until her tits were jumping around and their thighs were smacking together.
“This pussy is mine tonight,” he growled as she threw a leg over his shoulder. He grabbed her calf and squeezed it. “And I want my pussy to come. Got that?”
“Not a problem,” she said with a half chuckle, half moan. “I’m going to come on that big dick.”
She bit her lip and closed her eyes as he really let her have it. He fucked her harder than he’d ever fucked anyone before. It was coming to an end, though. He felt an orgasm surging forward like an unstoppable force. He wouldn’t be able to stop it even if he wanted to.
“Come in me,” she cried out. “I want to feel it.”
His arms, chest, and jaw tightened, every muscle in his body turning rigid, as he thrust deep inside her and came.
Ava screamed out his name as she dug her nails into his triceps so hard that it drew blood. “Fuck!” she screamed as her trembling body bucked and convulsed under him. Her face twisted in agony as her orgasm ripped through her.
They held each other tight as their orgasms overtook them and their bodies filled with warmth.
No sex had ever felt like that before. Julius barely knew her but it felt like their souls were connecting on some level. Don’t be so lame. He laughed. A few weeks out of the army and back to civilian life and he was already starting to sound like a chick.
He rolled off her and they both stared up at the ceiling while they got their breath and processed what just happened.
“We woke up the horses,” she whispered after a minute of silence.
“Fuck the horses,” he laughed. “It was worth it.”
“Sorry guys,” she called out into the stable. “I can sing you a lullaby.”
A horse neighed in response.
“Was that a yes or a no?” she asked.
Julius laughed. “So, did getting fucked in a barn live up to your expectations?”
She grinned. “The sex definitely. The hay, not so much. It’s really scratchy.”
“No shit,” he laughed. “It’s hay. You should have taken the blanket.”
“No,” she said, shaking her head. “It was perfect just like that.”
Julius cradled her in his big arms as she rested her head on his chest.
“Do you have a bed in that big house of yours?” she asked.
“Oh yeah,” he said, playing with her hair. “A huge one with really comfy pillows and soft sheets.”
“That sounds nice,” she whispered. “But I don’t want to move.”
“Me neither,” he said, kissing her forehead.
“Fifteen minutes,” she said. “Then we get up.”
“Deal.”
They laid there cuddling and talking for two hours before finally getting up and walking hand and hand to the house.

Ava stretched out on the soft cool sheets and let out a low contented moan. She rolled over expecting to see Julius’ gorgeous face but all that was there was an empty indented pillow. She pulled herself over and dropped her head on his pillow, inhaling his intoxicating scent.
What a night she had. She had been utterly shocked to discover that Julius was a bear shifter but it couldn’t have come at a better time. She would have been ripped apart by that pack of hungry wolves if his grizzly bear hadn’t rushed in at the last minute to save her.
She had heard rumors of strange men and women who shifted into animals but she always dismissed it as crazy talk. She never believed it but there it was, right in front of her eyes.
Julius was a bear shifter. It was amazing. She had so many questions to ask.
If that hadn’t been enough for a crazy night she also had a sex marathon that had lasted for hours. First, she got fucked in the stables and then again in this very bed. She had barely slept a few hours but she felt more awake than ever. He was so hot and such an expert with his hands and tongue, and not to mention his huge cock. She had really hit the jackpot.
Where is my sex crazed bear shifter?
“Julius,” she called out softly, craning her head to see into the en-suite bathroom. It was empty. She looked around his spectacular room. There was a large stone fireplace in the wall facing the enormous bed and a walk-in closet that was almost as big as Ava’s apartment. She stepped off the bed onto the cold hardwood floors and walked over to the window. She pulled back the curtains and gasped when she saw the view. The entire wall was made of enormous windows and the view beyond them was of the rolling green hills, a babbling brook, a forest to the far left and then snow-capped mountains in the back.
She just stood there and stared until she realized that she was buck naked standing in front of the window.
Ava smiled when she saw her bag sitting on the chair by the fireplace. He must have gotten it from his truck while she was sleeping. Sweet and a good fuck? He’s a keeper. It’s too bad you live eleven hours away.
She got dressed in some cute hiking shorts and a white tank top. She fixed her hair and put on a little bit of makeup before venturing out into the hallway.
It had been dark last night when they came in and she was only now seeing the epicness of this ranch. The ceilings were as high as a church, the furniture large and comfy, and there were windows everywhere showing off the stunning views of the Vega Ranch.
Ava tiptoed down the hallway, passing open rooms and trying to ignore her curiosity that urged her to go inside each one and investigate.
The last room by the stairs had an enormous man sitting on the bed. She gasped when she saw him and just stood there gawking while he frowned at her. She had never seen a man so large. He must be a shifter too. The fourth brother.
“Hello,” she said as he glared at her.
He didn’t answer. His lips were pursed together as he stared at her with dark eyes. Ava’s pulse started to race and she began to feel an irresistible urge to run down the stairs as he stood up off the bed.
“You shouldn’t be here,” he growled.
“Julius invited me,” she said weakly. She felt like a mouse standing in front of an angry elephant.
“This is a bad idea,” he said through a tight jaw. “Us Vega brothers shouldn’t take on mates.”
“What do you mean by mates?” she asked but he slammed the door in her face.
She hurried down the stairs as Julius’ words from last night replayed in her mind. We don’t let Alexander be around people.
She followed the laughter coming from the kitchen and smiled when she walked in and saw Julius behind the stove cooking up some breakfast.
“Wakey wakey eggs and bakey,” he said.
Ava smiled. “It smells terrific.”
“It smells even better now,” he said. “You smell delicious this morning.”
She looked shyly to his brothers as blood rushed to her cheeks. “Good morning.”
Khan was shoveling eggs and bacon into his mouth and just grunted at her. Hannibal looked up from his book and smiled. “Good morning, Ava.”
“How do you take your coffee?” Julius asked from behind the massive granite island. He already had a steaming cup in his hands waiting for her.
The nervous tension in her body released as she smelled the freshly brewed coffee mixed with the sizzling bacon. “Just a drop of milk,” she said, walking over.
Julius was standing in his boxer shorts and white tank top undershirt. She couldn’t help but look him over and drink in his hard muscles.
“How do you like your eggs?”
Fertilized.
“Over easy is just great,” she said, giggling at her own joke.
He handed her the warm mug and shook his wet yolked-splattered spatula at her. “Now out of my kitchen. Go sit with the boys.” He gave her ass a light smack and she hurried out with a giggle b
rewing on her lips.
“Don’t take it personally,” Hannibal said, sipping on a coffee. “Julius never lets anyone past the island when he’s cooking.”
Khan grunted. “You’re lucky he even let you in, in the first place. He must really like you.”
Ava’s heart swelled in her chest and she bit her lip to hide her smile.
The kitchen was just as spectacular as she imagined it would be. The far wall was all window that showed off the view of the stables and the lake beyond it. The sun was out and it looked to be a beautiful day. “It’s a beautiful home that you have here,” she said.
Khan grunted. “While we still have it.”
“What do you mean?” she asked.
“You’re not from around here, are you?” Hannibal asked, changing the subject.
“Seattle,” she answered.
Khan wrinkled his nose up. “The city? Ew.”
“It’s not too bad,” she lied. Compared to this it was the worst.
Julius walked over and slid a steamy plate of food onto the table in front of her. Her mouth watered and her stomach grumbled when she breathed in the eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes, and cut up fruit. “Bon appetit,” he said with a wink, before shuffling back to the stove.
“Hey,” Hannibal complained. “I was supposed to be next.”
“Yeah well you just got knocked down in the rotation,” Julius said.
Khan shook his head. “That’s what happens when we’re forced to take on mates,” he mumbled. “The whole house goes to shit.”
Ava narrowed her eyes as she watched him. Why do they keep talking about mates?
There was something going on here that she wasn’t in on. She decided to let it go for now. She just wanted to eat the amazing food in front of her. She was starving after all of last night’s exercise.
“What are you reading?” she asked Hannibal as she popped a grape in her mouth. He had even pulled them off the stem for her. This guy was a keeper.
“Marcel Proust,” Hannibal replied as he lowered his book.
“Never heard of him,” Khan said.
“What a surprise,” Hannibal said, rolling his eyes. “Khan doesn’t read much beyond the graffiti in the bathroom stall at the bar.”
Khan grinned at his younger brother. “Yeah, your phone number was on there, written under free blow jobs.”
Julius smacked the counter with the spatula. “Gentleman please, there’s a lady present.”
But Ava was laughing along with them.
Khan turned to her and tilted his head. “Are you two getting married today?” he asked.
“Khan,” Hannibal snapped and glared at him with a serious face. “Perhaps now is not the time.”
“What?” Khan said leaning back and turning his hands palms up. “I thought because they were hitting it off they could get married and then we could-”
“Khan!” Julius snapped. “That’s enough!”
Khan took a deep breath and turned back to his eggs, shoveling them into his big mouth.
Ava looked down at her lap. She could feel the tension descend on the room like a thick fog.
“How are those eggs?” Julius asked from the kitchen.
“I’m still waiting!” Hannibal whined.
“More please!” Khan grunted.
“They’re great,” Ava said, taking a bite. She couldn’t help feel like there was something going on that she wasn’t quite a part of. She’d dig around more later. Now was clearly not the time.
“So what do you two have planned for today?” Hannibal asked.
“I don’t know,” Ava said. She still wasn’t a hundred percent sure that Julius wouldn’t want her to leave now that she had slept with him.
“I think we’re going to grab some horses,” Julius said as he flipped an egg in the sizzling pan, “and head up to the river for a picnic. I’ll show her the land.” His bright green eyes darted to hers. “If that’s okay with you, Ava.”
“Sure,” she said, unable to hold in her smile. “That sounds wonderful.”
Julius smiled back. “Great. It’s a date.”
Khan looked at her and rubbed his thick chin. The long scar down his face looked menacing last night in the bar but now she found that it kind of suited him. It made him look dark and dangerous. He was hot. They all were hot. Even the asshole brother upstairs.
“How many dates do you require before you get married?” Khan asked.
Julius just dropped his head and shook it in disbelief.
“Excuse my brother,” Hannibal said with a fake smile. “He’s only kidding.”
Khan didn’t look like he was kidding.
Yup. There is definitely something going on and I’m going to find out what it is.
Julius ran up to his room taking the stairs three at a time. Ava was walking to the horse stables and he couldn’t wait to get dressed so that he could join her. It was strange but he was already missing her.
He loved seeing her sitting at the breakfast table with his brothers in the chair that he sat at since he was a kid. He kept nearly burning the eggs when he couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
“Julius!” Alexander called out as Julius passed his room.
He stopped and sighed, letting his shoulders droop forward. He didn’t want Alexander putting a damper on this so far perfect day.
“What?” he asked without turning around.
Alexander stepped out of his room and Julius groaned when he saw the angry look on his face. Why can’t this guy just be cool for once in his life?
“That girl shouldn’t be in this house,” Alexander said in his patented growly voice.
He rolled his eyes and then looked up at his huge brother. “She has to be you idiot,” Julius snapped. “Or we’re not going to have a house. She’s going to save the ranch for us so don’t fuck it up.”
“You shouldn’t take on a mate,” he said, not letting it go. “It’s a mistake.”
Julius dropped his head and sighed. He hated dealing with his thick-headed brother. “You watched the video,” he said in exasperation. “I know you were there because I could barely hear Dad’s words over your heavy breathing.”
Alexander took a step forward. “No mates.”
“Well, then we’re going to lose the ranch,” he said. “I have to find a mate and get married this month. And you three have to find a mate by the end of the year. You heard the terms of Dad’s will.”
Julius was trying to stay calm but he could feel his blood boiling and his pulse speeding up. His brother was always making things more difficult than they had to be.
“I’m not finding a mate. It’s out of the question.”
“Then where are you going to live?” Julius asked. “Did you think of that? You’re going to be sleeping on the street.”
Alexander shook his massive head. “I’m thinking of going back to the army.”
Julius took a deep breath and clenched his jaw. That’s what he was worried about. His brother would rather rejoin the Special Shifter Forces and go through all that shit again rather than go through with a sham marriage. He didn’t have time to deal with this now. He had to get Ava to the alter in the next three weeks. Hannibal could work on Alexander over the next few months. He was the only one who could ever talk some sense into him anyway.
“Get her out of here,” Alexander snapped. “Or I will.”
“Are you fucked?” Julius asked, thrusting his finger into his older brother’s face. “I’m going to marry her, for all of us, and then once the deed is signed over I’m going to divorce her. Okay? And you three all have to do the same.”
That was his initial intentions but the words felt wrong as they rolled off his tongue. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to drop her when the time came.
“Get her out of here,” Alexander repeated as he walked back to his room. “Or I will.”
He slammed the door and Julius’ stomach dropped. His brother, Alexander the Irate, did not make empty threats.
Ever.

Julius was jogging over to the stables to meet Ava when she burst out of the front door on top of a wild horse. “Ahh!” she screamed, bouncing around on the saddle as the horse sprinted across the open field. The stable boy, Eddie, tried to run after her but he couldn’t catch up.
Julius sprinted after her, pumping his legs forward until they burned. He pushed them as hard as he could and eventually managed to catch up to the out of control horse. He grabbed the reins and whispered to it softly as he slowed it down to a slow trot and eventually to a stop.
Ava’s blonde hair was a mess and her eyes were wide and unblinking. “You can relax your grip on the reins,” he said when he glanced down at her tight white knuckles.
“That’s twice in less than twenty-four hours that you saved my life,” she said, wiping her sweaty forehead. “I don’t think I’m cut out for country life.”
He reached up, took her in his arms and lifted her off the horse. “You’ll learn,” he said, not letting her go when her feet were back on the ground.
She glanced up shyly at him with color flooding up to her cheeks. “Hi,” she said as he held her close.
She looked so beautiful in the sunlight with her shoulders bare and her tight shorts. He kissed her softly. “I have plans for you,” he said. “Don’t go dying on me just yet.”
Julius grabbed the horse’s reins and guided him back to the stables. “Let’s get you a horse that you can handle.”
“I like that one,” she said, looking up at the tall black horse that almost just paralyzed her. “What’s his name?”
“This is Bucket,” he said. “Because anyone who rides him is about to kick the bucket.”
She laughed. “He’s beautiful.”
Nothing was as beautiful as her.
Julius handed the horse back to Eddie with a look that made the boy drop his eyes to the ground. He should whip the boy for putting Ava in danger like that.
“Sorry, sir,” Eddie said.
He took a deep breath and let it go. Normally he would have chewed him out for doing something like that but he was feeling abnormally good today thanks to the gorgeous blonde by his side so he tapped the antelope shifter, Eddie’s, shoulder and shrugged it off. “Go get her Mad Max to ride.”
