“So what do we do now?” she asked.
I reached out and took her hand. She looked down in surprise but then she gave it a squeeze. “I think we have a hell of a lot to talk about, but I think we do have some things to talk about,” I said. “What do you say?”
Teresa grinned. “I think I’d like that.
Well then. This was probably the biggest surprise of the day, and that was saying something. Assuming that talk went well, maybe I’d hold off on returning that ring after all. Trevor and Kirsten seemed to sense what was going on and they turned and grinned. Kirsten actually gave me a thumbs up.
Interesting times, to be sure. I couldn’t wait to see where this new thing we’d discovered today took us. It wasn’t exactly cheating, it wasn’t exactly being faithful, but I figured as long as we all knew about it and agreed to it beforehand it didn’t really matter.
We floated on down the river, all smiles, and when we were done we all agreed it was time to head straight back to the hotel.
We didn’t actually make it back to the park all weekend, but at that point I don’t think anyone cared!

1: Inspiration
My wife and I loved to go to conventions, and the geekier the better. And it turns out that going to these conventions led to an experience that changed our lives completely. That changed our marriage completely.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Like all stories this one has a beginning, and this beginning was at one of those conventions as we were walking through the dealer hall. I was more a fan of going to panels and maybe getting some autographs while we were at these things, but Kate was there for one thing and one thing only: shopping.
"Oh my God! Look at those!"
I followed her gaze over to whatever knick knack had caught her attention. Chances are it would be overpriced and I could find it cheaper online, but coming to conventions to buy stuff was part of the experience so it's not like I begrudged her getting a few knickknacks. Only this time it was definitely interesting. She was looking at a booth filled with corsets, chain mail bikinis, and other ready-made generically geeky costumes that didn't have any specific brand in mind and therefore didn't have to pay any licensing fees to anyone.
Not that licensing fees or being on the up and up legally was necessarily a concern for the universally overweight bearded guys who seemed to run every booth at every convention ever if the amount of bootleg and "unofficial" merchandise on display was any indication.
"Really?" I asked.
"What? You don't think I could fit into something like that?"
I turned and looked Kate up and down. Gorgeous blonde hair that ran down past her shoulders, a tight slim frame with amazing tits that came out into perfect gravity-defying cones that I loved to suck on. Hips that flared out and an ass that turned heads everywhere she walked no matter what she was wearing. There was no question that she'd be able to pull off those outfits, and she'd be able to pull them off a hell of a lot better than most people I saw in costumes at these conventions.
I'd simply never expected her to go for this sort of thing.
"It's not bad, not at all," I said with a shrug. "I just never thought you'd go for these sorts of costumes."
She sighed got a faraway look on her face. "Yeah, I definitely would rather have a costume from a movie or something that I like. But these look fun enough, don't they?"
Actually they looked more than fun. And the idea of seeing my wife wearing one of those tight corsets pushing up her tits, or maybe one of those bikinis that left absolutely nothing to the imagination, was starting to get my blood pumping if you catch my meaning.
What the hell? We were out of town, we were supposed to be having fun. Why not let her have this little bit of fun?
"So why don't you try something on?" I asked.
She turned and arched an eyebrow. "Seriously?"
I shrugged. "Why not. It'll be fun!"
"I don't know…"
"Seriously? You were just telling me how cool these look and now that I'm saying go for it you're backing out?"
"Well I'm not sure if it's actually something I should do… These are kind of risqué!"
"So? Go for it! They have a little changing room here. Have some fun!"
She opened her mouth, probably to protest again, when the proprietor of the booth appeared. He was a slightly overweight gentleman with an impressive beard who could've been at any booth at the convention. I didn't miss the way he looked Kate up and down. I never really missed the way guys looked Kate up and down, only there was something about seeing this guy looking at her like that, something about knowing she was the kind of girl, a solid ten, that he could never hope to get and yet he was still staring at her like that, that suddenly had my blood pumping even more, if you catch my meaning.
Now that was an interesting reaction. Definitely unlike any reaction I'd ever had to a guy checking out my wife that brazenly before. But again, whatever, we were out of town and it's not like it was hurting anything with him looking at her like that. She was completely oblivious anyways, running through corsets until she finally found something she liked. My breath caught as I realized what she'd picked out. An honest to God chain mail bikini. I'd seen girls wearing them, but I'd never seen a girl as hot as my wife wearing one.
The guy running the booth suddenly looked excited when he realized what she'd picked out. I tried to keep my voice under control, as though I didn't have a care in the world as to what she wore. As though I wasn't suddenly strangely as interested in how this guy was reacting to the idea of her trying on something that skimpy as I was at the idea of her putting on something that skimpy.
"That's what you want to wear?"
"Why? Is something wrong with it?"
"No! Not at all," I said. The last thing I wanted to do was prevent her from putting on that deliciously nonexistent bit of chain mail. "I think it would look totally hot on you!"
She hesitated, biting her lip in a sexy look I absolutely loved. Then she seemed to come to a decision. Her face split into a huge grin that made her look positively radiant and I knew she was going to do it. She was going to try the bikini on.
"Fine," she said. "But only because you've got that look in your eyes."
I spread my arms and gave her my best innocent look. Of course we'd been married long enough that I knew it wouldn't do a damn bit of good. She always knew when I was up to something, and so she could no doubt tell that I absolutely wanted nothing more in the world than to see her trying that on.
Of course what she probably didn't realize is that I wanted nothing more than to see her trying on that outfit in front of the good proprietor of this booth. He looked more than interested in seeing her trying it on as well, though he was trying his best to look disinterested as he took the bikini and hung it up next to a small curtained off corner of his booth that had been set up for people to try on his wares.
She disappeared into the booth and I was left in the
awkward situation of standing next to an overweight proprietor with no hair on his head and a massive beard that had gone out of style right around the time the civil war ended looking at me and trying not to look like he'd just been checking out my wife. Not that I cared, but it's not like I could let on to him that I didn't care. Hell, I still wasn't quite sure why I didn't have a problem with it.
A moment later there was a swish of the curtain and Kate stepped out. My mouth dropped. The guy running the booth stared openly, not even caring that we were both right there and could see what he was doing.
"Holy shit honey!" I said.
Her smile was even more radiant than before. "You like!"
"Holy crap do I like!"
And boy did I like what I was seeing! She still wore her bra and her panties underneath, but otherwise it was as though she had just stepped out for the beach. Although I guess it would be more appropriate to say she'd stepped out to slay monsters, or whatever it was somebody wearing a chain mail bikini did. Though come to think of it usually bikinis like this seemed designed more to get geeky male attention than for fighting monsters. They exposed enough skin that they didn't seem terribly practical when it came to actual combat, but whatever. This was a convention, not a fantasy battle.
