Unraveled (Bound and Bared Book 2) Page 17

by Christine Monroe

“You were a little busy.” Her hands took over riding me of my jeans, boxers, and t-shirt in record time. Straddling my thighs as she gripped my cock guiding it straight into her pussy. Sinking until she had taken all of me causing a moan to fall from her lips. Starting to move, her hips wasting no time rocking back and forth as she rode me. Blonde hair spilling over her breasts as they began to bounce.

All thought vanished. All I could feel was her, enjoy her taking me as she pushed me to the edge. My vision blurred as my fingers found her clit pressing down hard. I wasn’t going to last, but I started playing with her clit refusing to leave her behind. Throwing her head back she came, her pussy clamping down tight around me. I thrust hard, my cock exploding as she continued gripping me.

Case’s body falling forward to land on top of me in a sweaty heap of skin and post-sex bliss. Neither of us moving listening to the fast beat of our hearts as we came back down to earth. Case wrapping her fingers into my hair tugging me close, lowering her face until her lips met mine. The kiss was sweet after the fast fuck we had just indulged in. Only Case could drive me to madness, fuck me until I was barely breathing and then kiss me sweetly offering her up her heart and soul with the brush of her lips.

Breaking the kiss, I didn’t stop the stupid grin from spreading across my face.

“Marry me?” The words rushing out before I could catch them my eyes going wide as I forgot to breathe.

WTF. Did I just ask her to marry me? Oh shit. You fucking lovesick fool. It’s not like I didn’t want to but no girl wants to tell her friends he blurted it out after I fucked his brains out. Way to go Mr. Romantic. Slamming my mouth closed I ordered it to shut up.

Case’s eyes were now wide blue oceans as her brow furrowed, “Did you just ask me to marry you?” The sound of her voice coming out a little breathless.

“Yes?” I paused, waiting for her to say something, anything to end the carnage my heart was now residing in. She didn’t.

“Not the most romantic way to ask you I know, but I don’t regret asking you. I’m so crazy in love with you I can’t think straight. I may fuck around a lot, but when it comes to you, I’m dead serious. I want it all Case. I want forever. If by some miracle, you say yes to being my wife you will make me the happiest man alive.”

Holding on to my breath, my heart hinging on Case. I knew she loved me. I knew she had marched into hell to save me but marrying me? We were two people never meant to get a happy ending but I wanted one, and I wanted it with her.

“Yes.” The simple word fell from her lips unraveling my soul with that one word.

“Holy shit. You just said yes.” My body froze going still under hers as my jaw went slack. Staring at the beautiful creature before me, breathless and giddy I sealed my lips against hers. My lips seeming to be the only thing working. The rest of me remaining frozen as waves of joy crashed through me. Case Bennet agreed to marry me. I was the luckiest fucker alive.

Maybe it was because I was a fool but every happy ending needs a sacrifice, and I believed the debt was paid in full.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

  Chapter Forty-Two

“Why are we here again?” Case twisting her head in my direction as I pulled into the club’s parking lot taking a space close to the door.

“I was enjoying it just being the two of us. We can still turn around and go back to the cabin.” Her hand sliding along my thigh until she found my dick. Monster. She was a monster, and my dick was a traitor, growing hard beneath my jeans practically begging her to keep touching him. I could almost hear him shouting yay from the confines of the denim. Reaching down I caught her hand stopping her as my dick pouted calling me a cock block.

“Shut up.” My voice came out harsher than I wanted Case’s eyes narrowing as she frowned.

She glared at me, “I didn’t say anything. I was letting my hand do the talking.”

“I wasn’t talking to you. I was talking to him.” I replied pointing at my dick. “He is rather pissy right now.”

“That’s because he knows what he wants.”

“I think I liked it better when you two weren’t talking. Now it’s two against one.”

“Well, you were the one who wanted me to kiss him. Don’t blame me for the fact we get along so well. He just fits so perfectly in my hand, my mouth and my pussy.”

I trembled slightly, Case’s words wreaking havoc and I thought about tossing the car in reverse and speeding back to the cabin as fast as possible.

“That mind of yours is pretty dirty sweetness.”

Case kissed my cheek. “Good thing you like it.”

“Like would be an understatement. I fucking love it. We both do. As much as I want to indulge those dirty thoughts of yours today is special. I have a surprise for you now get out of the car before I put you on my lap and let you fuck me senseless. I am sure Val wouldn’t mind the show.”

Her head whipping around to see Val standing outside the door wearing a smirk, laughter dancing in his eyes.

Case covered her face with her hands, peek between her fingers as she whispered, “Has he been there the whole time?”

“I wouldn’t know you were distracting my sweetness.”

Case groaned before getting out of the car and then looking down at my hard on she winked.

“Good luck hiding that princess.” Case said blowing me a kiss.

Val’s laughter echoed through the parking lot.

Reaching down I tried adjusting myself cursing my dick and its current state. I didn’t want to meet my future sister in law with a raging hard on. That’s why we were here. Everything had been great between Case and I except the fight we kept having over her sister.

Case kept telling me she needed more time. The ghosts haunting Case weren’t done with chasing her watching them darken her eyes every time I brought up her sister. I refused to marry her without her sister by her side. The family was family. I loved Case with everything I had. I wasn’t going to let the shadows terrify her back into the dark. One call to Val asking for help certain she wouldn’t hate me. Pissed off most likely. As in I would be banished to the couch for a while. Speak for yourself; my dick replied before growing soft clearly not happy with my choice.

I got out of the car thankful at least I was no longer hard as a rock.

Val stood still smirking. That man was far too pleased with himself.

“Your girl calling you princess now? I see I have rubbed off on Case a little bit after all. I would ask if you took care of your tiny problem but once again may I remind you I have no interest in your dick whatsoever. It would never have worked between us anyway princess.”

“Oh, don’t deny it Val you wanted a turn on the Thorn rollercoaster. It’s a hell of a ride.” I threw my arm around Case’s shoulder before brushing past Val and opening the club door stopping to turn around a blow Val a kiss.

“You coming or what?” I asked batting my eyes.

“I hate you.” Val’s face flushing with color.

I couldn’t help myself. I loved pushing his buttons. It was like taking candy from a baby. A little nudge and he went from king of the castle to raging bastard ready to kill me. Don’t you just love family?

“You will pay for that later princess. I promise.” Val growled.

  Some things never changed.

  Chapter Forty-Three

  FINLEY

“They are coming. Are you ready?” Miranda asked smiling.

“Ready as I am ever going to be I suppose.” Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm my pounding heart. Rubbing my palms against my jeans, my fingers unable to stop moving.

I had survived hell for three years only to discover when I finally was freed that I had no home to go back to. No parents. No sister. Those monsters hadn’t just destroyed me they had destroyed everything I had ever loved. Then the phone rang, the voice of the man who had saved me telling me he had found my sister and had rescued her from the clutches of hell just like he had done for me.
Thorn should have handed me over, but he had refused. He did everything he could to help me. What are the chances the same man who saved me would one day save my sister as well? Fucking astronomical yet here we were.

The door opened, and a tall girl with blonde hair walked in. Holding my breath, I took in every inch of the sister I had once known. Her face so much older than the girl I remembered but despite everything she was still my Paige. My big sister.

My legs shook under the table and I forced them to stop so I could stand up.

“Paige.” My voice came out shaky but loud enough for her to hear me.

“Paige.” Saying her name again tears began spilling down my cheeks and I didn’t bother to stop them. I wanted to run, throw my arms around her but I couldn’t move. Case moved first running towards me, catching me around the neck and pulling me to her. Her arms wrapping around so tight I struggled to breathe. Still, I couldn’t let go even just a little. Finally, I was home.

  *

Finley was shaking in my arms, her tears soaking through my shirt as I hugged her close. The club went silent. Thorn, Val, and Miranda standing close to the entrance giving us the chance to find each other again. All of them letting me have this moment. Time stopping as everything faded away. Memories of life before my sister was stolen racing through my heart. Case disappearing as Paige returned and for once I no longer wanted to run from the girl I had been.

“Paige, I can’t breathe,” Finley said her voice muffled against my shirt.

I pulled back slightly. “Sorry. I just…” Trailing off not knowing what to say.

“I didn’t want to let go either. I never want to let go ever again. I thought I had lost you.” Another round of tears burst free, and I reached out grabbing hold of her hands.

“I thought I lost you too. Mom and Dad…I’m so sorry I tried to help them, Finley. They were so broken. I couldn’t do it. I wasn’t strong enough.” Tears fell, matching hers as the pain of the past spilling out with every word.

“I wish they were here, but it’s not your fault Paige. Do you think I blame you for what happened? I don’t. They left us both. They couldn’t get past the pain, but we did. We made it. We were given a miracle, and I don’t want to waste time on the past. One day we will talk about everything we’ve been through. Not today. Today I want to hug you until my arms ache and enjoy my time with my big sister. I have missed you so much, Paige.”

Standing there staring at my sister I realized that’s what I wanted too. The pain had stolen so much time. The clock-stealing seconds, a cruel thief, it’s hands always taking without mercy, it doesn’t care what it breaks or what it steals away. Wrapping my arms around Finley, I refused to waste another minute with my sister. Time could go fuck itself.

I should have known time always collects what’s it due.

  Chapter Forty-Four

  Boom!

The air around us exploding into sharp bits of sound. My body flew, ripping me away from my sister, chunks of stone raining down like a hail of gunfire. The world-shattering within a second as Bound and Bared crashed down around us.

The end had come. Bound and Bared dying, falling into darkness. My final thought was if the those I loved had been taken just when I had finally come home.

  *

CASE! I had to find her. I couldn’t see, thick black smoke making impossible to make out anything. Terror rose, bitter and useless, coating my throat making it hard for me to swallow. Trying to move I screamed at my body to get up, to move, to find her. A sound came from behind me. Val’s voice high pitched and desperate slamming into my ears.

“MIRANDA. MIRANDA!” Pure fear echoing in his screams matching the ones I hadn’t been able to get past my throat.

A glimpse of blonde hair catching my attention. Dragging my useless body towards it, I didn’t know what I would find when I got there.

The head attached to the blonde hair suddenly twisted in my direction as a set of green eyes met mine. Miranda.

“She’s here. Val she’s here.” My voice came out hoarse and broken. A fit of coughing seized me, stopping me my attempt at moving. I prayed it would purge some of the smoke out of my lungs. I was grateful I found Miranda but Case and her sister were still trapped in the wreckage of the club. Val, Miranda and I had been near the door, and because of that, we had all been tossed out into the parking lot. Being so close to the door had most likely saved our lives or at the very least allowing us a few more heartbeats. There was no way of knowing how bad our injuries were. The shock had set in, a numbing feeling twisting in my gut expelling any pain but leaving me running out of time.

“Oh, god Miranda.” Val had made it to Miranda, his broken voice cutting through the darkness.

“Val?” Miranda’s voice came out confused.

The dim sound of sirens sounded. Someone must have called for help.

“V,” I yelled, the tone strangled. “Case is still in there. I can’t move. Her sister is too. Please.” Begging, I clawed at the pavement trying to get myself to do something, anything.

“YOU FAIL ME NOW? FUCK YOU!” I screamed into the smoke, begging God to let me do this one last thing. To let me get up and find a way to the woman I loved. I was dying, not from the blast but from being weak, from not being able to get to Case when she needed me.

“THORN STAY WITH MIRANDA. I’LL FIND THEM.” Val becoming the angel I was begging for. The hero we all needed.

“V don’t leave me please.” Miranda’s voice pleaded.

“I don’t want to sweetheart, but Case and Finley are still in there. We can’t leave them beautiful. I’ll come right back to you I swear. Thorn won’t leave you.”

Miranda made no sound, but I faintly heard footsteps off to the right of where I lay.

Dragging myself once again finally making it the few feet separating Miranda and I. Looking down into her green eyes my heart clenched. Collapsing beside her I took her hand in mine.

“It will be okay,” I whispered. “I heard sirens; help is coming. It will be okay Miranda.” I tried keeping my voice calm as we both waited for Val.

“I found them.” Val’s voice called out from the smoke as I drew my first full breath into my lungs. Finding them was only the beginning.

Death was all around us, no longer on my heels he had caught up to me, but I didn’t know who he would take with him when he left.

  To be concluded...

The Bound and Bared family is fractured.

The club is gone taking loved ones with it.

  ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND THANK YOUS!

First on the list is my amazing husband who continues to support my dream of being a writer and always has faith in me. Thanks for always being the first one to read my books and for pushing me to keep going when I feel like quitting.

To my parents- Thank you for spreading the word about my books and for teaching me what hard work can accomplish in life and that when things get hard, you just need to fight a little harder.

To Danielle-What can I say my beautiful bestie? I guess I will start off by saying that I wouldn’t be here without you pushing me outside of my comfort zone and making sure I didn’t give up. Granted sometimes your methods drove me insane-Who’s the boss is this relationship anyway? You. It’s you. But I would still be stuck with Unraveled half-finished and my confidence shaken if it wasn’t for you. I love that you always have faith in me even when I don’t have it myself. This writing gig is hardcore but with on my team I know we can reach the stars.

To Mona Moore-Thank you for showing up in my life and enriching it with your incredible presence. It gets lonely out here and I know I always have you for a lifeline when the
seas get rough. I am blessed to call you my friend.

To the rest of my friends and family thank you! You are all awesome, and I wouldn’t have dared to dream without you!

And lastly, I need to thank the crazy people in my head. Unraveled almost never happened. Thank goodness, my characters refused to stay quiet and kicked my ass when I wasn’t listening.

Every member of the Bound and Bared family has a place in my heart, but Thorn completely ran away with it. He was supposed to be hired gun number six in Unbound but he refused, and I am enterally grateful he kept yelling in my head until I listened. He has the best heart, and I will admit I’m smitten with him. I hope after reading Unraveled you are too. Thanks for reading his and Case’s story.

He loves each and every one of you!
