An Artist's Kiss [Dark Desires 4] (Siren Publishing Sensations) Page 33

by Suzy Shearer

They spent a week enjoying the sunshine and playing with Lillith, who delighted in splashing in the warm water. Gabriel sketched dozens of drawings of Isabella and Lillith, telling Isabella he would like to paint them both when they got home.

It was a very relaxed family that finally returned to the house. Raphael met them at the airport and drove them home, swearing that Lillith had grown in the time they’d been away.

  Epilogue

Once back in England she and Gabriel settled back into work. Both had more commissions than they could have ever imagined. Isabella had entered the bronze statue of Ayesha in a world-wide competition and had won, giving her even more exposure. Meanwhile Gabriel’s piece in the Tate exhibition was due back in London and a journalist had done a very good piece on him and his work for one of the more prestigious publications.

Following the success of the coffee table book, Gabriel and Isabella worked on a joint book with both their pieces. Ian was confident it would be even more successful than the first book now that both were so well-known.

Adam and Marisa welcomed a little baby boy to the ever increasing clan. After a long talk with Adam, Gabriel allowed him to buy the “cottage.” He and Marisa loved living there and it was a bonus for Gabriel to not have any worries about the ground’s upkeep. The arrangement was perfect for everyone. On top of that their son and Lillith were able to play together. Much to Gabriel’s delight Lillith’s first words were Dada. Unsteadily she learned to walk but it wasn’t long before she was running.

Isabella remembered the day she had come to ask for permission to photograph Ferdinand. It seemed so long ago. Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined that she would be married to the arrogant artist who demanded she model for him. The sexy man who had turned her on even when he tried to blackmail her. The man who pushed all her hang-ups away and took her to the dark side. The man who taught her to accept who she was and embrace it, to love and be loved. She was his model and he would always be her artist.

Now at last her life was complete, she had the life she never expected—a husband, a beautiful daughter and a loving extended family. World-wide recognition of the work she loved making and a husband whose work was equally valued. Life just couldn’t get any better, safe in the knowledge she would always be turned on by her artist’s kiss.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Best-selling and Award winning author Suzy Shearer writes contemporary and paranormal erotic romances filled with mature and interesting characters. Her books consistently reach her publisher's Best Seller List Top 10, with several reaching # 1.

Single, Suzy lives in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, Australia with one very spoilt dog and two equally spoilt cats keeping her company. She is a Buddhist, an Author, an Artist, a computer nerd and a voracious reader.

Her books always feature older heroes and heroines; ranging from mid-40s to 60s. The heroines are usually confident, plus-sized women who are proud of their curves. Suzy feels it's important for older readers to connect. When she discovered many romance books seemed to cater for younger readers with their heroines and heroes in the 20s, she decided to write about characters who were older... but maybe not always wiser. As she is in her 60s, Suzy feels she can relate to her characters desires, fears and hopes. She hopes her readers can, as well.

Suzy also wants her readers to understand that, just because people are older, it doesn't mean they aren't intriguing, desirable, open to challenges and willing to experiment. Sexy isn't just for the under 30s.

When Suzy is not writing, she is usually painting. An accomplished watercolour artist, her subjects range from portraits and animals to nudes and landscapes. You can see her artwork at sooziiiart.blogspot.com.au
