She smiled and sprawled across his legs, toying with him. "It was a nice surprise, right?"
His eyes flashed silver as he caught on, and used her hip to drag her around. Before Isla could protest, his fingers plunged into her damp slit. She cried out and arched to meet him, all control gone, and moved her hips to meet the gentle friction of his thumb against her clit. He knew exactly how to turn her on, how to play her body like an instrument.
Vaant squeezed her breast and moved her until Isla knelt next to him, ass in the air as his hand plunged in and out of her and she tried to push back against him to deepen the penetration. After getting used to his enormous cock, even the full breadth of his hand didn't feel like enough. She held on to his thigh and closed her eyes as ecstasy rolled through her. She was so close. So... close...
Just before the tidal wave carried her away, though, his hand disappeared. Isla groaned in frustration and scowled up at him as Vaant smiled. "There are nice surprises, and not so nice surprises."
Luckily she was right there by his cock and already panting in desperation, so she could immediately take him in hand and swallow half of his length as she hovered on the edge of orgasm. Vaant cursed and smacked her ass, making Isla jump, but before she could protest, his hands moved over her and plunged once more into her channel. She moaned and almost blacked out as a tsunami raced through her and made all of her muscles seize. She froze but he kept moving, working his fingers in and out until her thighs trembled and nearly collapsed.
Isla totally forgot to suck him until his hips lifted to thrust against her, and knew she didn't have the presence of mind to do a good job. So she staggered free of his grip and wobbled to straddle his thighs. He loved it when she rode him so he could watch her breasts bounce and see the enormous cock disappearing into her body. It turned her on even more to watch him watch her, so she was primed for another climax even before she sank down on his length. Vaant bellowed in triumph and gripped her hips until Isla felt them bruise, but all she could do was hold on as the mating lust swept over them both.
By the time they regained consciousness, a message waited that they'd arrived at Xarav and docked at the selected location. Isla almost couldn't care where they were, she was so love-drunk. It didn't help that Vaant interrupted her shower to press her up against the wall and take her again. When she protested, thinking something waited for them on the surface, he buried his face in her neck and growled. "We have some time to waste, nixtava. You'd better hold on."
She could barely walk by the time Vaant finally dressed her and himself, and led the way out of his quarters to the dock and one of the emergency pods. Isla held her breath as the pod descended from the Galaxos through the hazy purple atmosphere toward a massive planet below. She gripped the railing inside the pod and couldn't tear herself away from the viewing windows. No matter how many years she spent in space, she knew she'd never get tired of seeing the stars and planets and new places.
And Xarav held a wild beauty as they approached the surface. Vaant concentrated on the controls, occasionally speaking into a communicator to the ground control, and piloted the pod over a vast expanse of desert. The fine crystals, almost sand but not quite, shaded from red to tan to white and back in a beautiful range that reminded her of Vaant. She leaned against the wall and tried to absorb the unbelievable beauty of the foreign planet, and wondered at the strength he had to leave such an incredible place.
Isla bit her lip as a small structure came into view and Vaant slowed the pod's flight, maneuvering it to land away from what turned out to be a series of fabric tents. They were tall and round with a conical top, a few wisps of smoke escaping from an opening, and large lizard creatures, remarkably like camels, pulled at their tethers as the pod landed.
She couldn't speak. Vaant powered the pod off and offered her a long robe from a gear box she hadn't noticed at his feet. "Traditional Xarav robe for a woman. I have more clothes for you inside."
Isla's hands shook as she shrugged into the robe and Vaant knelt in front of her to tie the belt in an elaborate knot, secured with an equally elaborate pin. The fabric draped heavy but soft around her in a bold pattern with blues and greens and purples at its heart, with threads of gold running through it. Vaant retrieved a much larger robe for himself from the same box, made with the same fabric. She tried to tie his belt for him, but couldn't get it to look anywhere near as beautiful as hers, though Vaant didn't seem to mind and kissed her hands in thanks.
Once they were both wearing the robes, Vaant took her hand and led Isla out of the pod and onto the surface of his planet. For a blinding moment, the sand and light and atmosphere disoriented her and Isla swayed. The sand shifted a little under her feet and Isla sucked in a breath, not wanting to ruin that gorgeous robe, but Vaant caught her up easily and carried her the rest of the way to the tent.
Isla rested her head on his shoulder. "This is so beautiful."
"Not half as beautiful as you," he said, and kissed her. She settled dreamily in his arms, watching the three suns of Xarav sink towards the horizon.
One side of the tent opened toward the sunset. Vaant stepped inside and set her down, making sure she could stand before he pointed at two sets of clothes draped around what looked like spears and shields. "If you would like... These are traditional Xarav clothes. Together with the robe you're wearing, they're considered wedding clothes."
"Wedding?" Isla's eyebrows rose and she swayed back a step, feeling light-headed again.
"Yes." Vaant knelt in front of her once more and pulled something from his belt. He held out an elaborate dagger in a curved sheath, and slowly drew the blade. Before she could speak or breathe, the blade flashed and a long lock of his hair fell across his palm. He offered both the blade and hair to her. "That's why I brought you here. You're my mate, Isla Lennox. You are the other half of my soul. I didn't know I was searching for you as I traveled the universe, but I am the luckiest being that is or ever was or ever will be, because you're in my life. I offer you my home." He gestured at the tent around them, which Isla could hardly see through the tears in her eyes. Vaant held up the knife. "I offer you my blade and my protection." And then he held up the lock of hair. "And I offer you my honor, my life, my hearts."
She could hardly breathe. Vaant pulled something else out of the pocket of his robe, looking just a touch uncertain as he held up a smooth metal band. "And because it is the Earther custom, I offer you this ring. I forged it from the metals in an asteroid that fell to Xarav the night of my birth. My people considered it a good omen, that I would avenge the wrongs done to the Xaravian people and bring justice back to the universe. And I would like to share that with you. I would like to share everything with you, to feed you every day and watch..." He cleared his throat as his voice cracked, then Vaant leaned forward to place a kiss against her stomach. "And watch my child grow in you."
Isla's hands rested on his head, and she closed her eyes as he gripped her waist. She'd thought about that, too. She whispered, "Yes. Of course, yes."
He smiled as he released her, then wound the lock of hair around the belt of her robe, tucked the dagger next to it, then lurched to his feet to embrace her. He almost dropped the ring as he slid it onto her finger, and Isla shook as she linked her arms around his neck. "Yes."
They made love in the tent as the three suns of Xarav set behind them, turning the sky crimson and orange and then a brilliant lavender similar to the shades of Vaant's skin as he moved over her. Isla cried with happiness as their limbs tangled and they finally rested in the piles of pillows and blankets that layered the floor of the tent. She finally felt at home. She'd traveled across half the known universe, and never knew she'd been searching for him, too. Thank the fates or Newton or just plain luck that she found him, and he found her.
