You Shook Me All Night Long Page 7

by Simone Harlow

Charlotte stared at his engorged penis. Soon that would be inside her. Her breath came in pants. She could almost feel him moving inside her. Just looking at him she began to shake.

  “Charlotte.”

She raised her eyes to his face. His nostrils flared. “Yes?”

  “Take down your hair.”

Charlotte reached up and took the mother of pearl hair combs out, letting the heavy weight of her hair slide over her bare shoulders. As she put them on the night table, she thought about turning off the Tiffany lamp. She turned around and he grabbed her around the waist and lifted her up. “Wrap your legs around me.”

Charlotte did as she was commanded and he walked them to her bed. He put his knees on the mattress and lowered her body until she was lying on her back. Without giving her any time to think, he threw up her dress and spread her legs.

“You are so pretty down here.”

She had a moment of self-consciousness and wanted to close her legs, but then he slid two thick fingers inside her. Her back arched as she accepted him inside her. Pleasure knifed through her and her toes curled. Wetness coursed through her. She was ready to explode. Then, he began to massage her clitoris. The calloused pad of his thumb moved achingly slow over her hard bud. Charlotte couldn’t seem to catch her breath.

He moved faster and harder, driving her to the point.

  “Travis.”

  “Yes.”

  “Travis, please …”

  “Please what, Sweet Baby?”

  “Inside me. I … need you…”

“Are you ready?” He drove his fingers inside her.

  “Yes!”

He smiled. “Good, ‘cause I can’t wait.”

Charlotte sighed as he removed his fingers and quickly inserted the head of his penis inside her. She looked up at Travis and his face was tight with tension. He had squeezed his eyes shut and his chest was rising and falling. “Travis?”

  “You feel so fucking good.”

Charlotte raised herself on her arms and wriggled her hips trying to get him further inside her.

He opened his eyes. “Do you want all of me?”

  She nodded her head.

He slid his arms around her waist and lifted her up until she touched his chest. The motion forced her body to impale itself on him.

A shuddering breath escaped her mouth. She felt so full. He throbbed inside her and there was a moment where she felt so complete. She was hanging on the edge.

  “Fuck me, Charlotte.”

She wasn’t sure what to do next, Preston never liked her on top. “I don’t … I never…”

He smiled against her mouth. “Hang on to me. I have you.”

Charlotte put her arms around his neck. She could feel him pulsing inside her. She was ready to orgasm now.

He put his hand on her butt, cupping her cheeks and slowly began to move her hips up and down. He filled her so completely, Charlotte was dizzy with pleasure. Her head fell back and she just let instinct take over. She clenched her muscles around him.

  “Fuck me harder, Sweet Baby!”

She couldn’t believe how she liked his dirty talk. Rising and falling on his penis, she began to rock her hips over him. Each time she felt him grinding himself against her clitoris. “Travis!”

His fingers pressed into her skin and his lips roamed her neck and breasts. She could feel the beginnings of stubble on his chin. He whispered against her skin, but she couldn’t exactly make out his words. He suddenly sucked her nipple into his mouth and she felt herself come. “Travis.”

He laughed and pushed her down hard on his penis.

She spiraled out of control, and increased her tempo, wanting him to orgasm with her. He pushed up into her and she thrust down on him.

“Fuck me, Sweet Baby. That’s it.”

Together they found a perfect tempo and time seemed to stop. Her pleasure escalated and their mouths collided, tongues dancing. Their bodies strained together until Charlotte came again, Travis following her seconds later.

  Chapter Six

Charlotte couldn’t believe she let Travis into her house and her bed. This was so out of character for her. This was only supposed to be once and now he was back again. A big part of her didn’t want to let him go.

“What are you thinking so hard about?”

She sighed. “It was supposed to be only once.”

“You only wanted to sleep with me one time?”

Charlotte frowned. He said that as if it was sad. “It’s very complicated to explain.”

“Did you have sex with me because I’m a rock star?”

Charlotte swallowed the lump in her throat. How did she answer that question without hurting his feelings or looking like a whore? She didn’t want to lie and really, when you thought about it, her sister’s list made her look kind of pathetic. She bit her bottom lip. “Yes, but not for the reasons you think.”

He sat up and the sheet fell to his waist. “You need to explain.”

He pinned her with a stare that required honesty. She just wasn’t sure how to be that way without hurting his feelings. “I’m not really a party kind of woman.”

He raised an eyebrow, but there was humor in his tone. “I couldn’t tell.”

“Are you making fun of me?”

“Yes, but not for the reasons you think.”

She puckered her lips. “I deserved that.” She pulled her knees up to her chest. “You were number five on my list.”

  “Still not getting it.”

“Before my sister Vivienne died six months ago, she gave me a list of things to do to get me out of my rut.”

“I’m sorry about your sister.” He caressed her cheek with the palm of his big hand.

  “Thank you.”

“So fucking Travis Rexford was number five.”

That hurt. Charlotte knew it shouldn’t but it did. “Not you specifically. I had to have sex with a rock star.”

“So anyone would have done. Even Vaughn?”

She was digging herself into a bigger hole. “No, he scared me. He’s mean and angry. About five seconds after he cornered me, I was ready to end this entire endeavor and go home, back to my old safe life.”

“But you didn’t. You let me take you home instead. Why me?”

She really needed to answer that. He was the most beautiful man she’d ever seen. And he made her feel so wanted. He looked at her like a real woman. “You are so beautiful and you have kind eyes. I knew that if at any time I had said no you would have stopped. I’m not so sure about him.”

  “Kind eyes? Beautiful?”

“And you rescued me.” Even though he’d been demanding and passionate in bed she felt safe with him. Only Preston ever made her feel safe.

  “Can I see this list?”

Charlotte took the list out of her nightstand and handed it to him. She watched him read it as a slow smile appeared on his lush mouth.

  “I’m in.”

  She didn’t understand. “What?”

“I want to help you with your list.”

Was he saying that he wanted to spend more time with her? Oh goodness, that was so exciting. “Shouldn’t you be mad at me?”

He gave her a quick kiss. “To fuck you again, I’d even help you climb Mt. Kilimanjaro buck naked in the middle of summer.”

She smiled. “That’s an incredible compliment, but I already climbed it.”

  His blue eyes widened. “When?”

“I just returned a few days ago.”

“I’m really impressed. Let’s go get you inked right now.”

She wasn’t ready for that. Frankly, she was a bit leery of needles. According to her mother only tramps get marked for life. Like Viv. But she didn’t think Viv was a tramp, so she would get one eventually. “I’m not ready for a tattoo. I have to do my research.”

“Are you writing a term paper?”

  “You are teasing me.”

  “I am.”

She smiled. She liked it. Me
n never teased her. It made her feel special, as if they were more than lovers. Like they were friends.

Suddenly, Magnolia jumped on the bed, head-butted Travis, and started to purr.

He reached out and stroked her black and silver fur. “Who is this pretty baby?”

Her cat never acted this friendly toward her. She was almost jealous. “That is Magnolia, she’s number fifteen.”

“This is your new best friend?” He tickled Magnolia under her chin and the cat’s back arched.

“She was supposed to be, but she hates me and I think she’s plotting my untimely, unnatural, slow, painful death.”

He laughed and the purring grew louder. “She’s a doll.”

“She’s evil and contrary. She’s not even grateful that I rescued her from the shelter when she was a day away from going to the big litter box in the sky.”

“Cats don’t do grateful. You should have gotten a dog.”

“I would have preferred a dog, but I don’t have the proper time for a dog.”

Magnolia rolled over on her back and batted his hand with her paws. “You think she might not know that?”

Charlotte stuck her tongue at Magnolia, although she was grateful for Travis's attention to her cat. It was nice to know Magnolia thought she had done something right. “She seems to like you.”

  “What’s not to like?”

Charlotte smiled. “What’s not to like, indeed.” Her stomach rumbled.

He stopped petting the cat and caressed her stomach. “You sound like you need to eat.”

Charlotte sighed. She was supposed to be finding someplace to stay, while the decorator was working. “I should, but I have to start packing.”

  “Where are you going?”

“To a hotel for the next several weeks. I haven’t started looking for one that will take me and Satan’s beast.”

“Why are going to a hotel?”

Because she wasn’t going to stay at her mother’s house. Her mother would lock her in the attic until she came to her senses and moved back home. She couldn’t stay at her brother’s house. His youngest son Ian loved Magnolia, but was allergic to cats. “My decorator is coming in tomorrow and he doesn’t want me underfoot. In his opinion, I have the taste of a ninety-year old cat lady.”

  “Harsh.”

She shrugged. “It’s true. I tend to play it safe.” Although lately she’d been throwing caution to the wind like nobody’s business.

  “I couldn’t tell.”

Charlotte pushed back a lock of her hair. “When I do something on the list I pretend to be Viv. She was fearless.”

“So that’s why you told me your name was Vivienne. Had she slept with a rock star?”

  “Several.”

He sat up and scooted closer to her. “Tell me you haven’t done the striptease yet.”

She liked this part. Preston was never playful in bed; he just did his business and went to sleep. Travis seemed to want to continue being with her. “Why? Do you want to see it?”

  “Hell yeah.”

  “You’ve seen me naked already.”

“And I want to see you again.

Charlotte blushed. “I’m taking a class. My recital is in a few weeks.”

  “There are stripping classes?”

She signed up just after she made reservations to Africa and was having a great time. She even met several women that she was slowly becoming friends with. All in all, it had been an eye-opening experience. “Amazingly enough, yes, there is quite an art to it. At least in the class I’m taking. It’s more burlesque dancing than pole dancing.”

“I’m going to take a stab at saying you haven’t done a threesome or had sex in public yet.”

She’d barely found the gumption to go after him. She was so not ready for those other things. She wouldn’t even know how to go about finding two people who she wanted to have sex with at the same time. “God no. I have to work up to that, if I ever do it.”

  “Again, I’m here for you.”

  “You’ve had a threesome?”

  “Rock star, duh.”

She laughed. She hadn’t expected him to make her laugh. She liked it. “What’s it like?” she whispered, but felt ridiculous for doing so in her own home.

  “Depends on who you’re with.”

“I can’t even begin to imagine. Can I tell you a secret?”

He leaned forward and whispered in her ear. “You can tell me anything.”

That sexy tone sent shivers down her spine. Just talking to him turned her on. “The other night with you was the first time I really enjoyed having sex.”

“Really? What the hell is wrong with the guys in this neck of woods? Who the hell have you been with?”

Charlotte shook a finger at him. “Gentlemen don’t ask about a lady’s past.”

“I’m no gentleman and you brought it up,” he countered.

  She giggled. “True. One.”

“You’ve only been with one guy? What the hell’s his problem? You’re amazing.”

Preston never told her that. She didn’t think she had what it took to keep a man interested. “I didn’t inspire him.”

  “Is he dead?”

  Charlotte sighed. “He preferred men.”

“Then what the hell was he doing with you?”

  “We were engaged.”

He pushed her down on the mattress and covered her body with his. “Sweet Baby, that’s the only way a man couldn’t want you.”

“I don’t blame him at all. Preston had a lot to live up to and we’ve known each other since we were children. He was really my best friend. I miss him terribly. I hope he’s happy in Vermont.”

  “You’re not mad?”

“I want him to be happy. He deserves it. I know he loves me, but not in the way you need to love your wife. I’ll always love him.”

He nipped her bottom lip. “I’m glad I could help you with your list.”

  “You are very sweet.”

“Trust me Charlotte, sweet had nothing to do with it.” He lifted her hand to his lips. “You have stopped biting your nails. So that’s another thing off your list.”

“I had help with that. They’re fake.”

  “They look great.”

“The wonders of modern chemistry. I couldn’t bite them if I wanted to.”

His hand slipped between her legs and caressed her slick folds. “And you’re all smooth down there.”

She bit her lip. “It is kind of nice to have that.”

Travis slowly inserted a finger inside her. “I like it. Have you cussed?”

Charlotte clamped her legs together on his hand, giggling. “I’m having trouble with that one. I don’t even think bad words, so I’m going to have to really concentrate on that one.”

“So why do you have to get back on a horse?”

Charlotte pulled back. Of all the things on her list, that one scared her the most. She didn’t even want to think about it, much less talk about it. “When I was younger, there was an accident. It’s very complicated.”

“You want to talk about it?”

No, she still couldn’t talk about it. All these years later and she still felt the shame and guilt. “Actually, I’d rather get something to eat. Then I have to find a hotel and pack.”

  “You can stay with me.”

“What?” Did she look as shocked as she sounded? She stared at him and noticed he looked sincere.

He whispered against her cheek. “We could get some of these things on your list done. You need a partner in crime. Someone to cheer you on.”

Did she dare? “I’ve committed a crime already.”

“That’s right you stole the backstage pass. But you did give it back, so does it really count?”

“There was no time allowance for keeping my ill-gotten gains, so I’m going to say I fulfilled my task.”

“Sometimes it’s all about the details. But I still think it would be fun if you came and stayed with me.”

  Oh,
was she tempted. “Don’t you think I’d get in the way or it would be awkward? Why are you here anyway?”

  “Working on a new album.”

“Don’t you need privacy? I don’t want to interfere.”

Travis kissed her chin. “No one would care.”

  “It is awfully tempting.”

He ran a finger down her arm. “We could get a lot of playing done.”

Goosebumps rose on her skin. She was really thinking about doing that. Staying with him at his house. Making love to him every night for the next few weeks. “Are you sure no one would mind?”

“Nope, and I could help you pack.”

Charlotte giggled. She really didn’t want to go to a hotel. “Well…”

Travis leaned over and nipped her ear. “Come play with me, Charlotte. I promise you’ll have fun.”

God knew she wanted to. She looked at him. He poked out his bottom lip and widened his blue eyes. He looked like a sexy, sad puppy dog. How could she deny him? Or better yet, deny herself. “You are very bad.”

  “So that means yes?”

“Yes.” She scooted to the side of the bed to get out and get her packing done, but he grabbed her arm. “Now what?”

“I’m not done with you yet.”

Nor was she with him. “I have to pack.”

“I said I would help, so it won’t take that much time.”

  “Really?”

“Well, first we should eat, then we can …” he jiggled his eyebrows. “Then we can pack.”

“I don’t have anything in the kitchen, I was going to order out.”

He let out a long sigh. “Little disappointed here. I would love to cook naked with you.”

She loved that he could tease her and make her feel so at ease at the same time. This man was dangerous to her sense of quiet “I am shocked, what if we get burned.”

“No worries. Doctor Travis will take care of everything.” He nipped her on her stomach.

Charlotte didn’t need any food. What she needed was Travis. For the first time in a long time she felt alive and vibrant. She didn’t want to lose this feeling and if being with him let it continue, she was going to see where this journey would lead her. Whatever consequences there would be, she’d live with them.
