He took her hand in his and said, “There was a guy on my team, Grant. His was the locker next to mine. He saw my necklace in the locker room a few years ago.” Theo pulled the golden cross out of his shirt and showed Carmen. “He said that God doesn’t exist, that there had to be proof of His existence before he’d believe. I had no response. If I were like Grant, needed proof that God existed, I’d need to look no further than the woman sitting beside me now. You are proof. God’s most blessed creation.”
