The Right Time Page 56

“Maybe just one more,” she allowed, turning to smile languidly. “There are worse ways to go.”

Townsend was draped over her, unable to move more than an inch away. She’d never known how vital it was to be touching every part of Hennessy, but she was now bound to her, body and soul. “If you think I’m going to risk losing you now that I’ve got you…”

Hennessy gasped as Townsend’s fingers hit a spot she’d discovered much earlier. Gorgeous blue eyes flitted closed as a satisfied smile settled upon her lips. “I know you wouldn’t hurt me on purpose, but you can’t feel how my heart’s racing.”

“Yes, I can.” Townsend put her ear right over Hennessy’s chest, listening to the strong, true beat. “It’s right as rain.”

“Oh. Well, then have at it.” She giggled as her legs opened and she pressed herself against Townsend’s fingers. “You’re almost… Oh, yeah. That’s the spot.”

Townsend tucked an arm around her and pulled her close. Her fingers probed deeply, making Hennessy purr. Townsend smiled at the adorable sounds that poured from Hennessy, surprising and delighting her. She thought she’d be quiet, maybe even tentative about expressing herself. In fact, she was anything but. This woman knew what she liked and wasn’t afraid to tell you when you hit the right spots. Such a wonderful trait in a lover.

“I’m close,” she whispered, her eyes closed as she concentrated.

Townsend squeezed her tightly. “Show me how you touch yourself. I want to see that beautiful hand touch my new favorite place on earth.”

With a wry smile, Hennessy slipped a hand between her legs and let it rest atop Townsend’s for a moment. “I can’t tell you how fantastic it feels to have you inside me.”

“I’m going to be here a lot,” Townsend promised. “You’re going to have to call the county to evict me.”

“You’re always welcome.” She bit at her lip and let out a soft moan. “You’re so good at that.” Her hand moved up and she growled with pleasure as her fingers touched her own skin. Townsend had to watch. She moved her head until she could see those beautiful fingers skim over glistening skin. She’d thought she was done for the day but an insistent tingling signaled she’d need another few minutes of Hennessy’s attention.

“You’re the sexiest woman alive,” Townsend murmured as chills raced through her body. Watching Hennessy touch herself made her feel like they’d just started to make love. Untapped desire thrummed through her like a locomotive, inexorably driving her to press her thighs together to ease a bit of the pressure.

Hennessy turned and met her eyes. There…for innumerable times that day, they shared a sensation, some deep knowingness that took her breath away. No one knew her better than Hennessy. No one ever could. After all they’d been through…all of the joys and pains of growing up, growing together, growing apart…everything was right where it belonged.

  In this place.

  With this woman.
