When Light Leads to You Page 22

“What the…? How did you…?” I asked breathlessly.

“Word of advice, babe—when you’ve got someone cuffed, don’t leave the keys within reach.”

I craned my neck over to look at the spot on the dresser where I’d put them. “Damn it. Rookie mistake,” I uttered, dropping my head back down.

“Should’ve let me up, Jas. That was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen, but not being able to touch you was fucking torture.”

My lips pulled into a grin. “I’m sorry.”

“Yeah, I don’t think you are,” he argued, grazing his teeth over my breast. He moved my hands up to grip one of the wrought iron rods of the headboard. “Don’t move,” he warned, leaning over to get the second set of cuffs. Straddling my torso, he hooked one end around the rod I was holding on the headboard, and the other over the link between my cuffs. “If you pull on these, they’ll bruise your wrists. So grab the bar instead if you get the urge to pull against them. Understand?”

I nodded, and he dropped his head back to my chest, this time tracing his tongue from one nipple to the other.

The brush of his abs against my still-soaked panties made me squirm. “Please,” I whined, pushing my hips into him.

  “Please what?”

  “Fuck me.”

“Oh, we’ll get there, Goldie. But I think you need a reminder of exactly how much better the orgasms I give you are. I’m gonna make sure you know who owns this pussy,” he said, leisurely stripping off my panties.

My grip on the metal rod tightened as I fought the urge to weave my fingers through his hair and shove his cocky mouth down.

He kissed his way down my torso and moved his hands to my thighs to hold my legs open. His progress stopped, and he looked up, giving me a smirk. “A fucking lot. You asked how many times I’ve thought about you while jerking off. You don’t wanna know, babe. A lot,” he reiterated.

I opened my mouth to respond, but a drawn-out swipe of his hot tongue melted my words into a moan instead. His hands gripped my ass to hold me in place as he dipped his tongue between my folds and into me. I cried out and felt myself pulsing around him. As soon as the first flare of red crept into my vision, Dean stopped. My eyes flew open, and I strained against the cuffs.

“Dean?” I groaned, digging my heels into the mattress to push my hips up.

“Torture, isn’t it? Being close, but not close enough,” he said before dragging his tongue up my length and swirling it around my clit.

“Oh, fuck. You are the keeper of my orgasms from now on. Only you. Please, Dean.”

I wasn’t above begging and would’ve done exactly that if he kept holding out. But before I could utter another word, he pushed two fingers into me and quickly brought me back to the brink.

“You’re so close, Jas,” he announced before dropping his mouth to suck my clit into it.

“I swear to God, Dean, you’ll never get laid again if you stop,” I panted.

He laughed against me, but didn’t stop. Between the furious pace of his fingers and his insanely talented mouth, it didn’t take long to feel the first tingle of my orgasm. Dean pulled back enough to replace his mouth with his thumb and watch me shatter into a million blissful pieces.

“I’ll never get tired of watching you come,” he said, licking his lips as he pushed up from the bed and stripped off his jeans.

“I’ll never get tired of you making me come. And I’ll definitely never get tired of seeing you strip,” I added, appreciating the sight of his firm ass as he turned to reach for a condom. “Dean?”

  “Yeah, babe?”

“Have you, uh, ever not used one?” I asked, nodding toward the condom in his hand.

“Never. Why? Have you?” he asked, arching a brow.

I shook my head. “I’ve only ever used condoms. I get the shot. I’ve never wanted to go without, but with you…everything’s different. I wanna feel you. Just you. But I totally understand if you don’t want to. We can—”

He immediately dropped the foil packet and crawled over my body, shutting me up with a kiss. “Of course I want to go bare. I’ve never given it much consideration, but it’s you. If I ever turn down that opportunity, go ahead and have me committed.” He pulled back to grab the keys from his jeans pocket. “You sure about this?” he asked, releasing my wrists from the cuffs and studying my face.

“Positive.” I pushed against his chest and flipped our positions to be on top. “I’m done waiting, Dean. My pussy might belong to you, but this cock,” I said, reaching down to stroke his length. “Is mine. And I’m gonna make sure you know that.”

He groaned and tightened his grip on my hips. “God, Jas. I’ve never been more in love with you. Or more in awe of you.”

I arched a brow and pushed up, rubbing myself against him. “Already in awe of me and I’m just getting started. This is dangerous for my ego,” I said, angling back to align myself.

We groaned in unison the second I slid down on him. I’d planned to take it slow, to draw out the pleasure of feeling him fill me completely like this, but the crashing bliss made me greedy and impatient.

Until Dean, my curiosity about how sex felt without a condom was minimal; I’d never been remotely tempted. And this moment proved exactly why I’d been right to wait. Being each other’s first in this way was better than being each other’s anything else.

“Holy shit. I’ve never felt anything like this before,” I panted, pushing back to my knees. Dean linked our fingers together and held me up. “This okay for you?”

“Fuck,” he hissed as soon as I started rocking my hips. “Okay? This is going to kill me, Jas. It’s that fucking incredible.”

From this angle, the slightest movement on my part put the perfect pressure right where I needed it most, and I knew it wouldn’t take much to come this way. I leaned forward and untangled our fingers, pushing against his chest as his hands found my hips and dictated my pace.

“Oh, my God, Dean, I’m about to—”

His fingers dug into my skin, and he rolled me over, somehow staying inside me the entire time and keeping my orgasm within reach.

I felt Dean’s quick, hot breaths against my neck as he worked his way down to my breasts, nipping and sucking while he slammed into me. I was a jumbled mess of need, eagerly taking everything Dean was giving. Anticipating exactly what my body needed before I even knew, Dean looked up at the same time he slipped a hand down to my sex, rubbing quick circles with expert precision.

I squeezed my eyes shut and let the rainbow wave of my Deangasm crash into me, calling his name like I’d never get another chance to say it. His release followed mine seconds later, and I was overcome with the urge to kiss him as soon as he pulled out. Side by side, chests still heaving in rapid pulses, I pulled his face into my hands and kissed him. Slowly.

We were both wore lazy smiles when I finally pulled back. “I love you. I love this, us, our love. I never want to know what it feels like to be without you again. Please don’t let me find a way to screw this up,” I said, whispering the last part.

He pulled my body closer and pressed a kiss to my forehead. “I promise we won’t be an ‘almost,’ Jas. I love you, and I love the way you love me. We’ll get it right this time.”

“We better, because I think you ruined me for any orgasms but the ones you give me. I’ve started calling them Deangasms.”

He flashed me a signature Dean smirk, and I immediately regretted telling him that.

  “Oh yeah?”

I groaned through a laugh. “Nope. I misspoke. What I meant was—”

“Too late, you already said it. Just call me Orgasm Master.”

God, he’s such an idiot. A gorgeous, cocky, annoyingly wonderful idiot I love with my whole heart.

  Chapter 30

  Jasmine

If I were Santa, I’d send out a memo asking for wine instead of milk, and designate an elf as my sleigh driver.

Jasmine Winters, considering a career change

  The
wedding of the century had finally arrived. Not only did I truly like Alexa and Charlie and want them to have a magical day, I also knew that a successful wedding of this magnitude would bring FMK more business from word of mouth alone.

Jade and Elliot handled the reception setup, while I bounced between checking in with Alexa, calling Jade for updates on their end, and making sure everything at the church was ceremony-ready. I was grateful we’d stayed late last night getting most of the work done ahead of time because I spent half the morning preoccupied by thoughts of Dean. It was a new, unusual experience to be distracted by thoughts of my boyfriend because I’d always been able to focus on work.

I paced around the pews of the church, carefully inspecting every inch, even though I’d personally overseen the placement of every last decoration.

“Jasmine? You ready?” Jade called, waving her hands in front of me and pulling me back to Earth.

  “What? Oh, yeah, all good.”

She eyed me with concern, but thought better of pressing the issue. “El and I are done in the reception hall back at the hotel. There’s not a single orchid out of place, and everything is ready for the cocktail hour. It’s perfect. A lot of guests are congregating outside. Breathe, Jas,” she ordered, putting her hands on my shoulders and looking me in the eye.

I smiled. “You’re right. Thanks, JP. You let them in while I let Alexa know we’re close to show time.”

I knocked on the door of the bride’s quarters and pushed it open after a few seconds. One of Alexa’s eight bridesmaids was drowning in tulle and lace, trying to get Alexa’s shoes on, while another straightened out her cathedral-length veil.

I carefully stepped into the room and around Alexa’s dress. “Almost ready? Guests are arriving, and the guys are good to go as soon as we tell them.”

She nodded and beamed her giddy bride-to-be smile at me from across the room. “I’ve been ready for this moment since the day I met Charlie,” she gushed. She took a few steps toward me, and pulled me in for a hug before I even realized her intent. “I cannot thank you enough, Jasmine. If not for you, there’s no telling how today would’ve turned out. You’ll never know how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me.”

I smiled and squeezed her hand. “It’s been my pleasure, Alexa.”

Some brides completely lose their shit when there’s a tiny hiccup in the weeks leading up to the wedding (and there are always hiccups). Some think their wedding planner is at their beck and call 24/7. Fortunately, Alexa was not one of those brides. From the start, she put complete faith in everything I did, went with the flow of all of my suggestions, never once called me at a remotely indecent hour, and in the home stretch, she kept her cool right up to today. Which couldn’t have been easy, given how insanely involved her mom, Charlie’s mom, and even Charlie’s aunt had been throughout the planning process.

A few minutes later, Jade called through on the radio to say that they were ready to start seating family members.

I told her we were just about ready and quickly set to work getting the bridesmaids lined up in the previously practiced order.

Alexa’s mom gave her one last glassy-eyed hug and left the group to take her seat.

I picked up her beautifully simple bouquet of soft pink ranunculus and handed it to her. “Ready?”

She took the flowers and smiled. “Absolutely.”

When the last bridesmaid exited the bridal suite, we followed, making our way toward the cathedral. Alexa’s dad, Greg, met us just outside the doors.

One by one, the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle to find their spots across from the groomsmen. After the last bridesmaid walked in, the ushers closed the door and it was just the three of us – Alexa, Greg and me – standing behind the door, waiting for Alexa’s happily ever after to start.

“All right, Alexa, it’s show time. Time to go marry your prince.”

She leaned in to give me one last hug. “Promise you’ll invite me to your wedding, when you marry your prince,” she whispered. It was obvious she meant Dean, but just in case I wasn’t sure, she arched her head in his general direction on the other side of the door.

“I, uh, of course,” I stammered, a little surprised at her request.

I stepped back seconds before the door opened. She flashed me one last smile, then turned to her dad before they began their trek down the aisle.

I pushed aside the thoughts swirling around in my head about what she’d said, instantly going back into work mode. My eyes followed Alexa until she was all the way down the aisle, where her dad gently hugged her before shaking hands with Charlie and handing her over to his eagerly awaiting arms. Only after they were at the altar did I let my gaze wander over to a particular groomsman.

Dean definitely was the object of every single attending female’s fantasy. Fortunately for me, his eyes locked on mine and he threw me a smile that undoubtedly had every female looking his way swoon. Then he winked, making me almost swoon.

The ceremony droned on, but I couldn’t focus on it when Alexa’s words were reverberating around in my head. Promise you’ll invite me to your wedding, when you marry your prince.

Post-ceremony photos were the one part of weddings that I found tedious. The process was so time-consuming, but at least this time I had some serious eye-candy to ogle. Admittedly, I was a little biased, but Dean was absolutely the most handsome one of the bunch. It wasn’t that the other groomsmen were trolls; they just weren’t in the same playing field as Dean. Charlie was an almost-close second, but still couldn’t rival Dean’s looks. Dean in jeans and a t-shirt? Hot. Dean in a swimsuit? Hotter. Dean in a tuxedo? Hottest fucking thing you’ll ever see. When Dean wore a tuxedo it felt like the outfit had been invented for the sole purpose of giving women the pleasure of seeing him in it.

Finally, the photographer assured Charlie and Alexa he’d gotten all the shots he needed, and everybody filed toward the exit. All the bridesmaids eyed the groomsmen like they were pieces of meat, and suddenly I appreciated the way Alexa had quickly mentioned to her girls that Dean was very much off the market when they’d been gushing about how unbelievably hot the giant groomsman was. They were a little annoyed, not shying away from voicing questions and wondering how serious his relationship was, until Alexa also informed them that I was the “lucky bitch” he was boning.

That’s right ladies, I’m the one he’s fucking, not to mention the one he’s in love with, so look elsewhere tonight.

As the groomsmen made their way out the door, I took the opportunity to pull Dean aside from the group. His hands laced through mine, and he gave me another one of his effortless, dimple-bearing smiles. He called to the guys that he’d catch up with them in a minute, but he had to go see “his woman.” I raised an eyebrow at his words, but didn’t deny them. In the past, if a guy tried to stake their claim like that it would’ve had me running so fast there’d be a Jasmine Winters shaped hole in the door. In the present, they made my pulse quicken and my heart skip a beat.

I hated being that girl, but I was going crazy from not seeing Dean all day, even though he’d been here almost as long as I had. I knew I was working, but I couldn’t help it. I ignored the part of my brain sending off flares of warning that I was getting way too attached to Dean.

“I don’t have long, but I just wanted to say hi. Missed you today.”

He brought his head down and crushed my lips with his. Instinctively, I wanted more.

He pulled back from my lips and lifted his fingers to brush a flyaway strand of my hair. “I missed you too. God, you look gorgeous, Jasmine. By the way, the groomsmen had a bet on which of them would get to nail you tonight.”

My eyebrows shot up my forehead. “Please tell me you didn’t actually go in on the bet.”

“I thought we could split the winnings.” He grinned, his eyes alive with amusement.

I went to elbow him, but he caught my arm before I could make contact.

“Of course I set them straight, Gol
die. I made it very clear that you’re with me, and that I’d have no qualms breaking their legs if they so much as moved in your direction,” he finished, looking dangerously possessive, even if he was joking around.

  “You did not.”

“I did. More or less. It probably wouldn’t come to that, but you never know.” He shrugged, like it was no big deal he’d just threatened violence against his fellow groomsmen, some of which were friends from college.

I couldn’t tell if I was annoyed or flattered at Dean’s apparent possessive streak. It had to be annoyed. I think.

“I’m so going to regret telling you this,” I mumbled under my breath, shaking my head. “But the bridesmaids were also dying to see which one of them was going to get to bang the hottest groomsman.” His eyebrows waggled playfully. “So you should probably warn Tom that the girls will be after him.”

Dean growled and reached out, pressing his fingers into my hips and hauling me forward. “You and that mouth. What am I going to do with you?”

“I’ve got a few ideas,” I offered, tilting my head back to give him a wink.

“Oh yeah? I like the sound of this already.”

“There’s a supply room just outside the ballroom. Meet me there in,” I paused, lifting my wrist to check the time. “An hour? After dinner is served. I should have a short break then.”

“Perfect. I know exactly what I want for dessert,” he said with a slow, suggestive smirk.

My stomach dipped at the implication of his words. Hell fucking yes.

  Chapter 31

  Dean

Men are simple creatures. At the end of the day, all we care about is waking up next to the one we love. (That and beer. And steak. And sports. And sex.)
