No wonder Xin Huo said I should eat only rare herbs and precious pellets, I will die of starvation if I only eat whole grains in the future.

Zhong Yue inhaled deeply, got up and walked out of the training room. He went to the backyard garden and slowly stretched his body and muscles. Upon feeling the immense strength in his body, he said in his heart, “Ten Yuling Pellets and four days of continuous cultivation... I wonder if I can perform soul manipulation now?”

He stimulated his psyche as his soul flew out of his body and instantly bound onto a stone pier that weighed approximately one hundred and ten kilos

  Hu——

The stone pier suddenly flew up and stopped in mid-air in front of Zhong Yue. His soul manipulated the stone and as his soul flew upwards, the stone followed as well. This was also one of the tricks used by the upper house disciples in combat. The stronger the soul, the heavier the items the soul could lift.

In theory, if the soul was strong enough, one could lift a mountain and fly it around, or it could even be used to eradicate an entire city!

However, this was just the theory of it.

Among the upper house disciples, it would already be considered good if one could lift up anything that was a thousand kilograms. Besides, manipulating heavy items and using them as a form of attack was one of the clumsiest ways to fight. Usually, the upper house disciples would control strong weapons and engrave various totem carvings on the weapons. Therefore, as soon as one’s soul manipulated the weapon, one could control the weapon to maneuver it with incredible mobility and with sharp and immense speed!

  Hu-hu-hu——

In the garden, the soul manipulated stone flew up and down swiftly. Suddenly, Zhong Yue lost control of it and it slammed into the ornamental rock mountain. Shockingly, the rock mountain was smashed in half, one of the halves fell into the water!

Swords Gate have their own soul techniques to control weapons, they are all unique and have quintessences of their own. Unlike my cumbersome method that could easily lose control like just now. Only by practicing such techniques will I be able to unleash its full potential.

He stood there and pondered for a moment and thought inwardly, In order to obtain such techniques, I have to be taught by someone. The house manager said there will be Qi Practitioners who will come to take in disciples and teach them, but why has no one come to see me yet?

He didn’t think too much and he activated the【Jiao Dragon Winding Body Totem Art】. As his psyche was stimulated, a dragon claw was formed and it eventually became an entire Jiao Dragon, coiling around Zhong Yue’s body.

After that, a ferocious Jiao Dragon head slowly rose up from his back and stared cruelly ahead, its two front claws grabbed onto Zhong Yue’s shoulders.

Instantly, he felt an immense strength surging into his arms.

The hind claw of the Jiao Dragon clung onto Zhong Yue’s legs, making him feel the explosive force and speed of a dragon.

He visually measured his arms and legs in disbelief. The Jiao Dragon that wound around his body, arms and legs felt so real, the body of the dragon even slithered around slowly and the dragon whiskers hung down from its head that was dangling in front of Zhong Yue.

He felt like he is really being coiled by a ferocious dragon; its power seemingly combining with his own!

“Cultivating the【Jiao Dragon Winding Body Totem Art】to such a level ..., perhaps I have reached its highest level already?” mumbled Zhong Yue.

“You still have a long way to go.”

Suddenly, Xin Huo’s voice was heard and Zhong Yue immediately felt extremely happy. A flame spark floated out from the lamp placed in the training room. The flame then turned into small arms and legs with a red-haired head that was out of proportion. It was Xin Huo!

“Your【Jiao Dragon Winding Body Totem Art】is still weak. You only have the skin of the Jiao Dragon instead of the inner body or even the spirit of the Jiao Dragon.”

Xin Huo jumped onto Zhong Yue and walked into the dragon’s mouth and around all of the Jiao Dragon’s body and said, “Look at this, there is no flesh, veins or internal organs. With only what you have now, you would only be able to unleash a tiny portion of the Jiao Dragon's true strength. Your totem will also not emit the aura of a Jiao Dragon, which is why you are still far from mastering this technique. To reach the maximum limit of this technique, you must capture a Jiao Dragon alive. Then, you have to dissect it and research its muscles, veins, bones and the internal organ structures along with the spirituality of the Jiao Dragon.”

Zhong Yue laughed and said, “If I could really capture a living Jiao Dragon, would I still even need to cultivate this technique?”

  “Well, that’s true.”

Xin Huo gave it a thought and agreed, “However, if you are the pure-blood descendant of the Fuxi celestial race, with just emitting your aura you could make the Jiao Dragons bow before you for your research, not to mention capturing them... Huh? The aura of the Fuxi celestial race ... and there’s so many of them! Go, go, go! Bring me out quickly!”

Zhong Yue dispersed his psyche and Xin Huo quickly dived into his psyche ocean and said rushingly, “If I still can’t find a pure-blood descendant to pass down the heritage of Xin Huo, I’m afraid that I will soon be extinguished forever. There are so many people here, maybe I can find a pure-blood descendant!”

Zhong Yue brought him out of the courtyard and many upper house disciples could be seen going to the upper house’s Knowledge Teaching Pavilion, maybe there are some Qi Practitioners who came down to impart knowledge to the disciples.

Why was there still no one who came to teach me? Zhong Yue could only feel even more depressed as he saw some of the outer disciples that had passed the test at the same time as him heading to the pavilion.

Xin Huo looked outside through the eyes of Zhong Yue and said, “Not a pure-blood, not a pure-blood, not a pure-blood … What happened to the Fuxi celestial race? There’s not even a single pure-blood among these thousands of people and they are even far worse than you! Let’s go to that side, there appears to be quite a lot of people there, maybe I will find a pure-blood!”

Zhong Yue also thought of going to the pavilion and asked the person in charge of the matter of there being no Qi Practitioner coming to teach him. When he got close to the pavilion, two rays of light flew across and two totem pillars landed at the front and back of Zhong Yue!

As soon as the totem pillars landed, a force suddenly impacted upon Zhong Yue, nailing him to the spot!

“Zhong Shan Clan, Zhong Yue? Seems like you grew fatter, I almost couldn't recognize you.”

An upper house disciple then walked forward and after measuring Zhong Yue, he suddenly raised his leg and cruelly swung towards Zhong Yue’s knees. He laughed and said, “Junior Martial Brother Zhong Yue, although we have yet to meet and there is no enmity between us, I am still doing this as you have mocked my teacher’s face. You brought this upon yourself! By the way, my teacher’s first name is Tian. For that, I would have to ask you to kneel outside of the pavilion for a couple of hours!”

Chapter 8: Humiliations Beyond The Limit |

That upper house disciple appeared to be masculine and also around fifteen or sixteen years old; despite this, he appeared to be as strong as a grizzly bear. His kick landed very hard on the back of Zhong Yue’s knee and its strength was so strong that it could smash rocks into pieces and break trees in half.

  Boom!

A loud sound followed and Zhong Yue’s body swayed and he almost knelt. At the same time, the force from the two totem pillars also pressed him harder, causing him to bear even more pressure!

“Tian? Tian Feng Clan? Could it be the old examiner of the Cloudless Hall?”

Zhong Yue figured it out with lightning speed. Tian Feng Clan held significant clout in the Swords Gate and that old examiner was the one who was in charge of the Cloudless Hall in the outer house. This meant that Tian Feng Clan could unscrupulously provide privileges to the Tian Feng Clan
’s disciples under the table.

But now, due to the incidents that happened during the examination, Zhuo Xiangsheng realized that he had to be the one in charge of Cloudless Hall in order to provide a fair environment for the peasant disciples. Therefore, he challenged the old examiner from Tian Feng Clan and took over the Cloudless Hall.

The incident happened because of Zhong Yue, causing the Tian Feng Clan to lose their power over the Cloudless Hall. It was natural that Tian Feng Clan would retaliate!

“Huh? My totem pillars are carved with the totem of the mountain tortoise, they have the weight of a mountain once cast and you could still stand under the pressure?”

The upper house disciple kicked again and after seeing Zhong Yue was still able to stand, he received a shock and praised him, “No wonder you could pass the test with sheer strength. But you are asking for more suffering by resisting. You should just obediently kneel down outside of the Knowledge Teaching Pavilion and in front of the upper house disciples for a couple of hours. After this, we Tian Feng Clan will generously forgive you for what you did.”

  Hu!

Another kick landed on Zhong Yue and the upper house disciple laughed: “You just have to resist! I’m afraid that you might have to suffer even more then!”

Zhong Yue’s legs bended even more after the kicks and the pressure from the totem pillars stressed on him even more!

“You must be wondering why there weren’t any Qi Practitioners willing to teach you in these past few days eh?”

Kick after kick landed behind Zhong Yue’s knee and an ever increasing number of disciples surrounded them without any sign of interfering.

“This is because after we Tian Feng Clan lost Cloudless Hall, the other Qi Practitioners were afraid that it will cause our clan to be angry if they took you in. For that, there will be no Qi Practitioners to teach you anymore.”

  Dong!

Zhong Yue was forced to kneel on one leg with his hands supporting him on the ground, trying as hard as he could to not kneel on both legs. On his forehead, veins were seen bursting out because of the immense strength he used to resist.

“You will not be taught or guided by anyone in the Swords Gate! As a result, your path ends here and I wouldn’t even think of becoming a Qi Practitioner anymore!”

The upper house disciple landed another fierce kick on Zhong Yue’s right knee and said, “We Tian Feng Clan did not let out any words in this matter, it is just them afraid of taking you in. This is because we Tian Feng Clan are one of the top ten clans in the Great Wilderness! Even without us uttering a word, you will never have the chance of success in anything anymore after offending us! Today, all you have to do is kneel down here for a few hours and if you are smart enough, you should just leave Swords Gate.”

Outside of the pavilion, the other upper disciples looked at the situation and shook their heads. A female disciple shook her head and said, “The Tian Feng Clan is one of the top ten clans in the Great Wilderness, offending Tian Feng Clan and causing them to lose their power on Cloudless Hall… There might not be anymore room for him in the entire Great Wilderness, not to mention in the Swords Gate…”

“What happened?” asked by someone who had no clue of what happened previously.

“They said that a few days before, Junior Martial Uncle Zuo and Senior Martial Uncle Tian fought because of this Zhongshan Clan’s junior martial brother. Junior martial uncle severely injured senior martial uncle and took away the control of Cloudless Hall. The Tian Feng Clan lost control over Cloudless Hall and the clan elders were displeased, they pressured Junior Martial Uncle Zuo and things didn’t end up well.”

“I see, Junior Martial Brother is the best young Qi Practitioner within Swords Gate, there are a lot of elders backing him, Tian Feng Clan couldn’t do anything to him, but the Zhong Shan Clan junior martial brother is only a peasant, being in the middle of this issue will only find him in deep trouble……”

“Not only deep trouble, look, the Senior Martial Uncle Tian of the Cloudless Hall is here too, coming in the name of imparting his teachings, but he is most probably here only to see how the Zhongshan Clan member will end up being.”

Zhong Yue groaned silently and looked towards the pavilion, only to see that old examiner from Cloudless Hall sitting in one of the training room staring at him emotionlessly.

  Booom——

Zhong Yue felt as if something exploded in his mind! Shame, anger and unyielding will all gushed out in his heart.

  “Tian Feng Clan…..”

Suddenly, a cracking sound emanated from his body and his bones vibrated incessantly. In between his eyebrows, a large wave of psyche could be seen surging out, forming a pair of dragon claws and a dragon’s body, replete with hard and sharp scales.

  “Roar——”

A dragon’s roar could then be heard and the roar became louder and louder; the cacophony threatened to shatter everything around. As the roar became deafeningly loud, the dragon formed from Zhong Yue’s psyche became even more corporeal and detailed, Zhong Yue also got up bit by bit while resisting the immense pressure coming from the two mountain tortoise totem pillars.

The situation looked as if there really was a Jiao Dragon swimming in the air around his body with its scales standing angrily.

The Tian Feng Clan upper house disciple received a shock and he quickly murmured. As he murmured, the carvings on his two mountain tortoise totem pillars became even clearer and waves could be seen being emitted from the pillars, forming a mountain that looked like a tortoise, slamming onto Zhong Yue heavily!

The power and potential of the two pillars had been fully exploited by the upper house disciple, trying its very best to crush Zhong Yue!

  “TIAN FENG CLAN!!!”

Zhong Yue shouted angrily as he gradually stood up straight despite the pressure cast on him. As he stood up slowly, a ferocious aura that seemed like it could shatter the heavens rose from the back of Zhong Yue. It was the Jiao Dragon’s head, the final and the most important part of the dragon! The dragon raised its head slowly and its eyes reflected an immense fiery ray while its claws grabbed onto Zhong Yue’s shoulders.

Zhong Yue withstood the pressure and stood up. His pair of straw shoes were pulverized into pieces and without any sign, he raised his leg and stomped hard on the ground. The earthshaking stomp caused the ground to tremble and the two totem pillars were launched into the skies. As soon as the pillars were in mid-air, the carvings on the pillars were destroyed.

The Tian Feng Clan upper house disciples groaned and the crackling sound could be heard from the pillars. After that, the pillars were shattered into pieces by Zhong Yue’s dragon-like strength after they failed to suppress him.

“What the hell is this bullshitting Tian Feng Clan, who do you think you are!”

A kick was then delivered by Zhong Yue to the completely shocked and stunned upper house disciple. Zhong Yue’s legs were surrounded by the Jiao Dragon’s body formed with his highly condensed psyche, causing his legs to look extremely strong and sturdy, containing an explosive force beyond imagination!

The upper house disciple stood very close to Zhong Yue in order to reach him; hence, when Zhong Yue shattered the shackle of the totem and delivered a kick, the disciple did not even have the chance to evade!

The power contained within the kick was incredibly strong, so much stronger than the minion class mantis demons. The kick felt like it could smash everything in its path into pieces!

Following the kick was a loud explosion and the upper house disciple was kicked into the air and knocked onto the windows of the Knowledge Teaching Pavilion, shattering the windows to pieces!

The development of the situation did not stop there! The disciple then continued flying towards the old examiner from the Cloudless Hall and landed on his knees in front of him. Not only that, the ground around him was soaked with his blood which was gushing out from his knees.

In the training room where the old examiner sat, the old exa
miner and the other disciples from the Tian Feng Clan could not help but look blankly at the crazily sudden reversal of the situation.

Those other disciples who stood outside of the pavilion were also stunned by the scene. In their expectations, Zhong Yue should have been humiliated and made to kneel in front of the pavilion for a couple of hours before fleeing away from Swords Gate devoid of all dignity.

After all, Zhong Yue had only recently managed to enter the upper house and that Tian Feng Clan’s upper house disciple had already been here for a very long time, his strength must surely be much stronger than Zhong Yue.

Besides, Zhong Yue had nothing with him and the upper house disciple had not one, but two mountain tortoise totem pillars to lock Zhong Yue down.

However, the situation still developed out of their expectations, not only did the upper house disciple fail at what he was doing, his pillars were also shattered and he suffered heavy injuries from Zhong Yue’s powerful kick!

Zhong Yue pulled back his legs, shook away the dust on his beast fur jacket and cast his gaze towards the training room in the pavilion, only to find the old examiner staring back at him with a dark and gloomy expression.

The disciple who was kneeling in front of the examiner was so embarrassed and livid. He tried to get up, but to no avail, as he groaned and knelt back down.

The kick delivered by Zhong Yue was so strong that even though his strength was a cut above Zhong Yue, he still suffered heavy injuries to his knees after being crushed by Zhong Yue.

  “You are asking for it!”

A sharp sword with beautiful engravings that was on the waist of the angry upper house disciple suddenly flew up — it was his soul weapon!

Without any hesitation, the upper house disciple manipulated his soul weapon and attacked Zhong Yue. While the sword traveled halfway in the air, it split into thousands of swords shining with white rays that rained towards Zhong Yue.
