Zhong Yue then whispered to her, “Doesn’t the Western Mother young ladies have many phoenix followers? Where are yours?”

“I have quite a number of phoenix followers as well, but they got lost on our way here.” Chi Xue’s face then turned frigid, “Feng Zhishan and Chi Qing killed a few others as well.”

Zhong Yue nodded in understanding. Chi Xue was the most likely successor to the throne. Of course, the other Western Mother young ladies would treat her badly. Thus, in order to weaken her power, her followers were the first targets.

“But Feng Ming’er is also in the Returning Ruins, if we can rally with her, then we won’t need to be afraid of anyone else anymore, and I also won’t have to hide my claws anymore!” Chi Xue said with great determination.

Chi Yue’er and Chi Yun’er stood on the shoulder of a 100-foot tall giant, looking over in Zhong Yue’s direction at the three of them and Husan Weng. Chi Yun’er then laughed smugly and said, “Sister Xue~ I heard that Sister Qing wanted to take you down, didn’t she make it?”

The two young ladies were also from the Western Mother Celestial Race, having the same body features while below on the ground, there were many Qi Practitioners centering the giant. There were the phoenix followers and many other races as well.

Zhong Yue and the others didn’t notice them before because the giant took all of their attention.

As they looked at the Qi Practitioners now, Chi Xue’s heart turned cold. Among the crowd, she saw a few familiar faces, some of whom that were supposedly her followers but were now standing alongside Chi Yun’er and Chi Yue’er!

“That one, he is Kua Fuding of the Kua Fu Celestial Race. Be careful to not get get embroiled in a close-quarter fight with him.” Chi Xue’s face turned even solemn as she said.

Kua Fu Celestial Race? The preeminent race in regards to strength and mortal body, the ones most adept at close-quarter combat?

Zhong Yue’s interest was piqued as he looked at the tall giant. Kua Fuding’s mortal body shone with a metallic luster, his muscles bulged out like the rocks, and his dense aura seemed to caused the surrounding air to stagnate!

After these few days, Zhong Yue now had a rudimentary understanding about Kun Lun. One of the things that he learned was the name of the Kua Fu Celestial Race. This celestial race was crowned the kings of close-quarter combat with the sturdiest mortal bodies. A celestial race on par with the Black Tortoise and Western Mother Celestial Race!

The Kua Fu Celestial Race was even stronger than West Barren’s Zhu Yan Celestial Race. Although Zhu Yan Celestial Race was said to be strongest in strength within the whole West Barren, it was still no match for the Kua Fu Celestial Race.

Zhong Yue was told that an adult Kua Fu expert could grow as tall as a thousand miles, with the body as big as the Kun Pengs.

In comparison to that, this giant Kua Fuding appeared to be only a young teenager. His body would be suppressed by the Returning Ruins, and thus, despite not being as big as before, he was still a few hundred feet tall, nearly as huge as the Heavenly Dharma’s Avatar!

This told Zhong Yue one thing — Kua Fuding’s mortal body was so strong that he could compete with the Heavenly Dharma expert’s Avatar!

This meant that if he cast out his Avatar as well, his strength would be even more terrifying!

This Kua Fu expert had the strongest mortal body among the crowd, but the same couldn’t be said for his cultivation base. That honor went to a certain phoenix lady.

She was a True Spirit magnate, and although a female, the faint aura that emanated from her body gave Zhong Yue a sense that she was even stronger than Peng Jinyi and Peng Qianqiu. Her phoenix fire had been cultivated to another stage, transcending into the Fire of Nirvana that enshrouded he. Its heat was so terrifying that even Kua Fuding was unwilling to stay close to her!

Chi Xue replied with a laugh as well, “Why does Sister Qing want to kill me? She loves me more than anything. Sister Qing even says that she wants to work with me and kill you both. Right now, she is already hiding in the dark, waiting to deliver the killing blows!”

Chi Yue’er sneered at Chi Xue and hopped down from the giant Kua Fuding’s shoulder. She said with a smile, “Sister Xue is being naughty again. Who doesn’t know that you’ve already opened the sixth secret realm? Your reputation and fame has reached a point that even the empress is feeling uncomfortable. You are truly terrifying, that’s why it is possible for Sister Qing to work with anyone except you!”

Chi Yun’er hopped down as well, her smile never seeming to fade as she continued, “But the truth is, we sisters made a deal even before the Returning Ruins. As we all have a common enemy, we formed an alliance. We agreed that no matter what, as long as any one of us bumps into you, we will kill everyone in your posse.

“This is why Sister Xue is only left with only a little kitten. Look at that, an Inner Core little girl and another one that even more pitiful, an early Inner Core Qi Practitioner, he hasn’t even condensed his own inner core yet, even that chubby carrot is stronger than him! Sister Xue, is this how you are coping with life right now? With just two followers that aren’t even stronger than lion cubs?”

Zhong Yue’s face turned gloomy, the early Inner Core Qi Practitioner’ that she was referring to was undoubtedly himself.

Husan Weng raised his brow in happiness and shot a contemptuous glare at Zhong Yue.

Chi Xue then looked at the giant Kua Fu expert and smiled, “Kua Fuding, an expert like you has no need to cooperate with them, right? You are alone, and your people are not here to support you. Aren’t you concerned that they will sacrifice you for the Peaches of Immortality?”

The Kua Fu expert, however, remained calm against her taunts, and his voice that was like rumbling thunder sounded out, “An alliance with the experts is a natural choice to make. They have the map for the strongest Immortality Peaches Tree while I want the Peaches of Immortality. There is no conflict of interest, so it’s no surprise that would join hands. As for me being used as a sacrificial object, I don’t think that is any of your concern, Princess Chi Xue. What you need to worry more is your current situation.”

Chi Xue then turned to that phoenix lady, and her face became cold like the blizzard. But her voice was still measured as she said, “Feng Qianyi, who gave you the courage to defy me?”

The phoenix lady then shook her head and answered, “Princess Xue, if you are to die here, then I don’t think I’ll be condemned as ‘going against you’, am I? Princesses, Kua Fuding, there is no need for any more talks, let’s send Princess Xue on her way!”

“Careful!” Chi Xue then immediately mumbled softly.

Zhong Yue nodded and he answered, “You take care of Feng Qianyi, I’ll handle the rest.”

Chi Xue was startled for a split second, and she nodded softly and said again, “You… be careful!”

She then dashed toward Feng Qianyi while saying, “Feng Qianyi, you want to kill me? Then be prepared to be killed as well!”

Feng Qianyi stepped forward and collided with her former follower. She softly nodded her head and a phoenix hairpin flew out from her hair. It let out a clear and crisp phoenix chirp as it morphed into a phoenix that pounced at Chi Xue.

At the end of the phoenix hairpin were little bells that hovered in the air and turned into huge golden bells that rammed into Chi Xue.

Chi Xue swung her sleeves, and the little bells on her bracelets flew out as well, enlarging to huge golden bells that collided with the incoming ones!

The six golden bells they each had were both divine weapons, with each set consisting of six golden bells crafted by different gods.

The phoenix hairpain which morphed into the fire phoenix clawing down at her. Suddenly, Chi Xue took out a silver hairpin that transformed into a silver sword which she stabbed at the fire phoenix above her.

“Kua Fuding, we will join in as well. I want her dead as soon as possible to prevent any unwanted changes!” Chi Yue’er then shouted.

; Kua Fuding concurred as he nodded, and the other Qi Practitioners as well all rushed forward, trying to help Feng Qianyi in killing Chi Xue while Zhong Yue’s laughter came in front of them. He stood in the middle between Chi Xue and the Qi Practitioners, stopping them to help Feng Qianyi, and he said while smiling, “Guys, I just promised her that I will take care of you all so that she can fight with her old follower without any disturbances. If you guys rush to her side and interrupt the battle, won’t that be a slight on my abilities?”

The Qi Practitioners’ faces had weird expressions. They looked at him as if he were an ant trying to stop elephants from walking past it.

A phoenix lady then couldn’t contain her laughter, and she said disdainfully at him, “You… are you really that reckless at this time? You haven’t even condensed your inner core yet…”

“A mere Qi Practitioner who doesn’t even have his own inner core, what gave you the confidence to be able to stop us?”

The crowd then laughed out loud, and even Kua Fuding who didn’t laugh much had just lips slightly curled in amusement.

Ying Nu and Husan Weng then strode forward and the huge carrot said proudly, “Don’t forget, we are here also!”

“A carrot, and another Inner Core Qi Practitioner…”

The crowd laughed even louder, and Chi Yue’er was already doubled over on the verge of tearing up, “Haa… It’s been a long time since I laughed this hard, I really don’t feel like killing them already.”

Chi Yun’er also laughed, “Me too, I want to bring them back and make them our pets. They can entertain me for the rest of their lives until the day I lose interest in them. What a pity, these three brats don’t know where they stand…”

“Senior Martial Brother Zhong is very strong!”, Ying Nu’s face was crimson as she stood up for Zhong Yue, “You can look down on me, but not Senior Martial Brother Zhong!”

Chi Yue’er was alreay back in tears, “I just calmed myself down, but there she goes cracking me up again … No, no, please, this is too funny I can’t stop myself from laughing. Someone … someone go and deal with them, I might just die from laughing because of them!”

A phoenix Qi Practitioner then strode toward Zhong Yue, his hand enlarging as he reached out for Zhong Yue, “Since Princess Yun has given her order, then I might as well carry it out well! You, a Qi Practitioner who doesn’t even have your inner core, are nothing in my eyes! I can easily kill three Qi Practitioners like you with the flip of a hand!”

In the next moment, the phoenix Qi Practitioner grabbed onto Zhong Yue and said, “I hope you have the same sense of humor in your next life if there is one… What?”

His clenched his hand tightly, but Zhong Yue was still in his grasps unharmed, there were no signs of him being crushed. The phoenix Qi Practitioners’ face flushed with embarrassment, and he let out a loud roar. His arcane energy surged out, and he clenched his hand with full force, but Zhong Yue was still unaffected.

The phoenix Qi Practitioner felt humiliated, and light wheels revolved behind him as a magnate soul weapon was pulled out. It was a stamp seal shaped like a mountain, enlarging to the size of a huge mountain as it flew out from the Yuan Shen secret realms and crashed down right on Zhong Yue.

  Dong——

The earth quaked and sparks of fire lit up the mountain’s shadow. Just as the huge mountain struck Zhong Yue’s head, it was bounced back into the sky!

  “What a comfortable massage…”

Zhong Yue softly swayed his head while the phoenix Qi Practitioner’s face turned red like a ripe tomato. Then, his fingers were pulled opened one by one, they were pushed out from the middle and were broken away. He could feel his bones cracking and his fingers separating from his palm, with blood soaking the soil red.

Zhong Yue gently walked out and his hairs swayed along with the breeze. Suddenly, his aura burst up into the sky, and he laughed loudly like a madman, “I’ve done it, the inner core, I’ve finally condensed the inner core! What sort of way do you all wish to die with? Say it now and I can grant your wish!”

Chi Yun’er and Chi Yue’er were still shocked that he was able to free himself from the phoenix Qi Practitioner’s grasp, but as soon as they heard him calling, they burst into laughter again.

The sisters exchanged a look and saw each other’s teary eyes of joyfulness, they were saying, “He said… he said… he formed the inner core….”

  Chi——

Zhong Yue’s hairs then burst out like thousands of pitch black swords as he tore the phoenix Qi Practitioner into little pieces.

Before the sisters’ laughter could stop, Zhong Yue dashed into the crowd of Qi Practitioners. The Golden Peng Sword thrust out from his Yuan Shen secret realms and pierced a phoenix lady through her forehead.

He then flipped his hand and slammed down, mashing another Qi Practitioner into a pile of minced flesh.

  “MANG-GU——!!”

The six-eyed Star Toad then emerged behind Zhong Yue, and it released a loud roar. The sonic wave sent the Qi Practitioners flying back. Streams of blood could be seen spurting up into the sky while Zhong Yue flashed forward with his Golden Peng Sword. Flashes of golden rays then started flickering in their vision, and each and every flicker of golden rays indicated the death of a Qi Practitioner.

“Expert!” Kua Fuding’s face immediately changed drastically, and he quickly launched a punch at Zhong Yue who was still in mid-air!

Chapter 459: Earthly Force Field of Nine Revolving Inner Core |

Only an instant had passed between the time Zhong Yue made his first move and when Kua Fuding entered the fray. And yet, in such a short while, more than nine Qi Practitioners had been killed!

Chi Yue’er and Chi Yun’er couldn’t even stop their laughter in time.

Their hearts thumped, and their pupils dilated. But before they could realize the severity of their situation, nine of their followers were killed!

Kua Fuding’s punch crashed down like a mountain, sending everyone around him flying away radially.

The fist grew bigger, stronger, and harder. And the friction against the air even set his hand on fire.

It was the first time Zhong Yue saw such power from the mortal body – even the Martial Masters of the Zhong Li Celestial Race weren’t capable of something like this. One would need to at least be in the Martial Heavenly Master stage to pull off a feat like this!

Zhong Yue’s body plummeted down to the ground, and Kua Fuding raised his knee up and attacked Zhong Yue from below.

Zhong Yue switched to his three-legged Golden Crow form and streaked across the air like a blazing comet toward the ground while avoiding Kua Fuding’s attacks. Suddenly, at the corner of his eyes, he saw a phoenix lady take aim at him with her soul weapon.

Zhong Yue raised the Golden Peng Sword, he twisted his waist and turned his body around while swinging his hand down with great force, slashing the soul weapon into halves.

The phoenix lady’s movements came to a halt as a narrow line of blood appeared across the top of her head down through her groin. Her body then split into halves that both fell to the ground away from each other.

By now, Chi Yun’er and Chi Yue’er had stopped laughing after processing what had happened. Their eyes were like saucers as they looked at Zhong Yue, but they weren’t useless princesses after all. They quickly recollected their thoughts and visualized two winged white tigers, mounting them and lunging toward Zhong Yue.

  Zheng—— Zheng——

Two divine weapons then flew out from the back of the two princesses. Chi Yue’er’s divine weapon was a golden ring which grew into an over-ten-feet long moon-like weapon with golden linings.

Meanwhile, Chi Yue’er grabbed on an exquisite willow tree. She lashed the willow tree like a whip and its leaves shot out like jade swords!

  “Big!”

Zhong Yue shouted and swung the golden sword, and it turned to over 1000 feet long, and he slashed horizontally across the floor.

  Then, b
lood shot up to the sky and rained down to the ground, with severed limbs flying in mid-air and ravaged bodies laying strewn across the ground.

Some of the Qi Practitioners were just in their [Atman Body as One] state but were killed the next second. While there were a few who reacted quickly enough to visualize the defensive skills, shields and walls were raised before them but their efforts were still laid in vain. The Golden Peng Sword still slashed through their skills as if they were paper, killing those in covers!

There were also a few who leaped into the sky, at whom Zhong Yue shot his hair out, turning them sieves.

Suddenly, Kua Fuding punched the ground, causing the earth to shudder audibly.

  Dang——

The Golden Peng Sword slashed his arm, and sparks of fire burst out from the clash, but Kua Fuding’s arm repelled the sword!

  What a physique….

Zhong Yue’s hand was numb, and his heart skipped a beat – it was unbelievable. The Golden Peng Sword was not an ordinary divine weapon, yet, it was blocked by Kua Fuding with just a bare arm?

Zhong Yue recalled the moment where they clashed, noticing that there were totem patterns emerging out from Kua Fuding’s arm, weaving into a greenish-copper arm guard. It was that arm guard that had blocked the strike and stopped the sword; undoubtedly, it was a divine weapon as well.

However, the arm guard divine weapon has fused with Kua Fuding’s body, hiding beneath his ski and only emerging when he was taking strikes. This was only achievable with an extraordinary cultivation technique, something that Zhong Yue was extremely curious about.

The divine weapon had fused with the mortal body, any incoming strikes from any direction would be rendered useless as the divine weapon could emerge from any part of his body. What a marvelous cultivation technique! How does one even think about it?

But he didn’t have the luxury to think about this. The two white tiger beasts arrived in front of him, Chi Yun’er slashed the willow tree at him with the willow leaves swarming over from all directions. Her attacks were ferocious and quick. Not even the naked eye could catch up the flows of the willow leaves!
