I will scan their photographs and send them to you on Monday. The telephone number is the same. I'll email you when I can talk. The more I think about it the more I realise that it is crucial that I remove the computer from the office. My wife and the two women work there but I don't want to leave the computer at work in case someone decides to check it. You never know.
I've been thinking about the cashier's cheque. When you buy a cheque in Ireland the bank keeps a record of who you are and you have to get it at your own bank. It's a regulation. If anyone questions me about it later, I can say that I got it from my wife and that she asked me to send it. If the courier company has a record of the envelope, again, I'll say that my wife asked me to send it and she didn't tell me the details. I can't see it being a problem.
My wife and these two women have put me in an impossible situation, which is why I'm taking such drastic action. Maybe I'll tell you the details some day.
I loved my wife very much once but she has well and truly ended any feelings I had for her. I hate her now and have wanted her dead for a while but it's difficult to read these emails and see it written in black and white. It's shocking but she has asked for it. It's her own fault. She has nobody to blame but herself and her new best friends.

Mark,
Let me know when we can talk. We are running out of time. It will happen next weekend which gives us six days to get organised. Send the items via courier through your company.
Don't worry or panic and act normal! Trust us and the job will be successful.

I can't talk at the moment. My son is here. I wanted to speak with you but I don't want him to notice me checking emails and being impatient with him.
Email me your telephone number and I will call you when I can.

Savannah,
I spoke with my wife. The Irish couple with the apartment next door to us in France will not be in their apartment next week. They will be on their boat or in Ireland. I'll know for definite when I arrive on Tuesday evening.
My wife wants to take a boat trip to La Rochelle on Thursday and stay there until Monday or Tuesday. Anyway, I'm sure she will want to return to the apartment when she gets the "sad" news of her friends!
I probably won't have much access to the internet while I'm in France, especially when we're sailing. I'll text you to keep you informed of what we’re doing.
I should be able to talk to you on the telephone within the next few hours. I'm sure you can appreciate that we need complete privacy.
Do you plan on spiking the women's drinks? They spend most weekends in Westport, as I mentioned earlier, but there's no guarantee that they'll be there next weekend. Occasionally, they'll go out in Templebar in Dublin's city centre. I know Westport is on the other side of the country but Ireland is a small place so they'll only be a few hours’ drive away, worst case scenario. Will this be a problem for your team? I’ll try to find out their plans when I'm at work next week and I'll let you know so your people can make alternative hotel reservations, if necessary.
How do you intend on travelling to France? I know there are direct flights from the UK to La Rochelle, if that's where you plan on doing the hit, and there's also an airport at St. Malo where we have the apartment.

I'm sorry to have called you at an inconvenient moment but time is running out. We must start finalising our plans. I need to take care of a few things so call me later. By the way, I like your voice on your answering machine, very sexy. I look forward to your call.

I will send the deposit via courier this afternoon. Email me your address for delivery.
I'm at the office at the moment and have to behave as normal. When I go to the bank later I will sort out the money. Don't worry. I want to do this one hundred per cent. I'm determined and nothing can change my mind.
I need to spend some time here in the office with one of the women to find out what they have planned for next weekend. I will let you know as soon as I can.
Speak to you later.

I've decided to box up the money and send it to you that way. I will put something else in with it to make it look like a gift and I'll also enclose the keys and the photographs. I'll email you the address, combinations and directions. I'm quite busy at work at the moment and under pressure to get everything done so I can leave early to post the package to you. I'll contact you later to advise you of the tracking number.

No problem. I understand that you need to maintain the status quo. Thank you for organising the money. I'm glad we didn't have to kill you! I would love to spend some quality time with you when all of this is done. You have a very sexy voice which really turns me on.
I'm leaving for France on Tuesday morning, slightly earlier than originally planned. Maybe we can get to know each other a little better. I’ll contact you to let you know when I arrive.
I've attached my photo to this email. Hope you like what you see!

Savannah,
Fina
lly, I can email you without anyone breathing down my neck. I’m sorry for not being able to answer your calls. I didn't expect my son to be here so early tonight. He usually stays at college until late but he wanted to spend some time with me.
Thank you for your photos. You are very beautiful and I look forward to being alone with you! I hope I live up to your expectations. I'd like to get to know you better too. Maybe I can take you sailing? You look gorgeous with your beautiful blonde hair and bright smile. I've always had a soft spot for blondes.
I was talking with my son and I know he would be devastated if he found out what I was planning. He would wonder if he ever really knew me. My other son is a baby, almost three months old. He won't even remember his mother which I suppose is a good thing. I'm very close to my eldest son and I want to maintain our relationship.
I suppose you are wondering why I’m determined to get rid of my wife and the other women. Well, it's a long story. I admit that I'm not entirely blameless. There were some indiscretions but after being married for twenty years what does she expect? She ignored my apologies and instead set out to ruin me; which she achieved. She tries to control every moment of my life and hates our son spending time alone with me, which is why he wanted to make the most of our time together while my wife is in France. She's set up our finances so that she can make sure that I have hardly any money of my own and I refuse to stand for it any longer. Enough is enough!
You must be curious as to why I don't leave and get a divorce but it wouldn't work. It's not that simple. I have to protect myself and this is the only way I can see out of it.
Savannah, I must be boring you by now. I'm sure you don't want to know the details of my pathetic life.
Getting back to business; the women will definitely be in Westport next weekend, so it's all systems go.

Savannah,
You must be sleeping because I've just tried calling you but there was no answer. I'm glad you’re resting because I'll need you on top form.
Where should I leave the keys of the office for your team? I will give you the address when you confirm that you have received the deposit and that the job is still on.
However, I will give you some details on how to get into the office. Your team should wait until late at night and then I can guarantee that nobody will get in their way. We have a cleaner who comes on her own time but never at night. There’s an alarm system on the building with two locks on the outer door. It's not a very secure door. Your team should go straight up the stairs which will bring them into the reception area. Sometimes, the door at the top of the stairs is locked but the key is always in the lock. There’s a light switch to the right of the reception door. There are two doors located behind the reception desk and also an entrance to a small area. The alarm is inside this opening on the wall. I will text you the code which turns the alarm on and off. The computer which is of concern to me is on the first desk nearest to reception. There’s no need to take the monitor or keyboard, just the hardware which is on the floor under the desk.
Tell your people to turn the alarm on again before they leave, using the same code and lock the door behind them.
There’s a safe in the office but we don't keep much cash in it, maybe a few hundred euro. Please don't touch it. I want it to look as if one of the women took the computer for repair.
If I don't hear from you I will decide where to leave the key and I'll let you know.

I will call you when the job is done. Our team is in position. Everything is ready to go in France. The hit will take place in St. Malo. My team is situated in their hotel in Dublin and will move on to Westport tomorrow if necessary. Everything is in place as planned. I trust that you have the money in order.
If I need any further information I will contact you. Relax and try to be yourself.

Savannah,
This is the information you'll require on the targets. My wife's name is Rebecca McNamara. The two women are Shona Morgan and Penelope Garrett. Rebecca spends a lot of time in France. We have an apartment in St. Malo which is on the northern coast. It is located approximately a thirty minute drive from the airport. I will text you the exact address. It’s a hotel and apartment complex which is situated near the train station. The taxi driver will know it well. There’s an entrance between L'Escale Nightclub and Coucou Bar Tabac. There are many shops with their merchandise on display as you walk through the complex. Turn right after the fourth shop and the door to the apartment block is on the left. Any of the shop owners will direct you. I mentioned previously that Rebecca also has a yacht and likes to spend most weekends sailing.
Shona Morgan and Penelope Garrett share an apartment which is located five miles outside Dublin's city centre. I’ll text you their address separately.
The women spend a lot of time at Rebecca's holiday home in Westport which is on the west coast of Ireland in County Mayo. Again, I will text you their exact address and directions to the house. The house is in an isolated area overlooking the sea. They usually go to Westport at the weekends and often have friends and family from Dublin staying with them. I can confirm that Shona and Penelope will be in Westport next weekend.
Rebecca has a company called M&R Photography Ltd. I will text you the exact location and address. Two doors away from the business is a red-bricked house with a "For Sale" sign outside. The seller is David Ryan Auctioneers. Nobody has lived in the house for more than a year. Behind the house, beside the central heating boiler is a concrete block. I’ve left the keys to M&R Photography underneath the concrete block.
I’ll call you later.

Chapter 3
"I'll be available via email until I return from France next week," Mark announced as he shut down his computer and gathered his paperwork together. "If anyone needs me urgently they can contact me on my mobile."
"I'm sure we'll cope," Shona muttered sarcastically under her breath, without even bothering to look at him.
"Bon voyage," Penelope said unenthusiastically. "Give our love to Rebecca."
Mark straightened his shoulders and took a deep breath before forcing a stiff smile. "Thanks." He packed his computer
into his briefcase and marched out of the office.
"He's such an asshole," Shona turned to Penelope as soon as the door had barely shut behind him.
"You don't have to tell me," Penelope rolled her eyes and swung around in her chair to face her friend.
"I didn't think he'd ever leave," Shona sighed, visibly relaxing. "I can’t help feeling tense around him."
"Don't let him have any effect on you," Penelope replied. "I wouldn't give him the satisfaction."
"You're right, of course, but it's awkward working with him under these circumstances."
"Thankfully, we don't see much of him."
"I don't know how Rebecca puts up with having him around at all."
"Well, there's no doubt that he's a total asshole, but he’s a brilliant photographer, whether we like to admit it or not. Rebecca made the right decision to keep him around. He's good for business and with the contract we have with the Renaissance Hotel Group his photographs should make us a small fortune."
"There are other photographers," Shona protested.
"Sure there are, unfortunately there aren’t many who are as talented as Mark, much as I hate to admit it."
"I suppose it's a good thing he can do most of his work from home so we rarely get to see his smug face. I don't know how Rebecca can even stand the sight of him after everything he's done."
"Needs must," Penelope shrugged nonchalantly and got to her feet. "He’s the father of her children so I guess she wants to maintain some sort of relationship with him for their sake and from everything she says about him he does seem like a great dad. We know he’s an atrocious husband but it doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad father. Besides, she hardly ever gets to see him these days with the amount of time she spends in France, lucky woman. "
