“Yeah, so what the fuck you saying?” Frank asked, his eyebrows rising in confusion.
“Why didn’t you tell me that Shemar was the real one behind the hit? Knowledge didn’t have shit to do with it! You knew that, didn’t you?” Tyson asked in a calm yet cold tone.
Frank glanced at Tyson in confusion as he rubbed his goatee. He exhaled deeply, shaking his head in disbelief.
For the past couple of months ever since Jeremiah’s demise and Remy’s attack, Frank had been providing Tyson with not only information about the attack but about Knowledge and his drug organization, too. After pulling Frank over one day for a broken taillight, Tyson who was coincidentally on duty at the time, searched Frank’s car and discovered two kilos of cocaine that Frank had forgotten to get rid of earlier that day. After blackmailing Frank to avoid jail time, Frank hesitantly gave in, betraying his best friend for the past fifteen years of his life.
“What you talking about? Knowledge ordered that hit! Who told you Shemar did? Why would he order a hit out on his own seed and baby’s mom?” Frank asked, rubbing his forehead.
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out. So you telling me you didn’t know at all?”
“No, I didn’t know that shit! I don’t fuck with homeboy anyway so how the fuck would I know some shit like that, Tyson?”
Tyson clenched his jaw as he stared into Frank’s eyes. Frank looked back at him, refusing to back down. Nodding his head, Tyson discreetly stood to his feet before walking out of the coffee café, drowning in his thoughts.
Chapter Seven
“Push Ms. Kyles! Push!”
Remy’s chest heaved in and out as she squinted her eyes in pain. Sweat decorated her forehead as her body trembled uncontrollably and she felt her child slowly pushing through her canal.
Tears formed into her eyes as she glanced around the small hospital room, frantically looking for any sign of Shemar. Her vision became blurry as her chest heaved, heart raced, and insides burned in pain with every forceful push she made.
“Ms. Kyle please take a deep breath and calm down, your blood pressure is rising and this isn’t good for your son,” the doctor warned, gently rubbing Remy’s arms.
She nodded her head as she continued to push. An hour later, she welcomed her first child, Jeremiah Kyle, into this world, without Shemar by her side.
As she held her son in her arms, all the worries she held in the world temporarily dissolved as she glanced into his bubble eyes.
“Hey baby, it’s mommy. I just want to let you know that I love you and I plan to give you the world, Jeremiah. I’ll do whatever I can to keep you safe and be here for you, no matter what,” Remy whispered to her child as if he could understand her, but meant every word.
An hour later, Shemar stumbled into her hospital room, the smell of alcohol and marijuana seeping through his pores. Remy twisted her nose up in disgust as she glanced at him and held Jeremiah closer to her.
“What’s his name? Let me hold him!” Shemar slurred.
“You would know if you were here when I needed you! Where the fuck were you? How can you miss the birth of your son, Shemar?”
“Man…fuck all that, sh-sh-shit! I said let me hold h-him!” Shemar yelled obnoxiously before staggering towards Remy and reaching to grab Jeremiah.
“Get the fuck away from me! You’re not touching my son while you all drunk and shit! Get out of here, Shemar!” Remy hissed.
“Hand him over, bitch! I just want to see if the little nigga look like me,” Shemar said bluntly as he continued to reach for Jeremiah,
“Get out of here! Doctor! Somebody help me, please!” Remy cried as tears blurred her vision.
A handful of doctors raced into the room at her rescue.
“What’s the problem, Ms. Kyle?”
“Please get him out of here! He’s trying to take my son!” Remy cried.
“What? You lying bitch! Fuck you and that bastard child, dawg!” Shemar barked harshly as he staggered out the room.
“Ms. Kyle I need you to….”
“Remy, wake up baby! Wake up!” Tyson yelled, shaking Remy gently by her shoulders.
“Huh? What? What!” Remy yelled, inhaling deeply as she stood up in a frantic.
“You was yelling in your sleep again, baby. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Remy whispered as she wiped the sweat from her forehead and collapsed her hand on top of her chest. “Why are you off work so early?”
“I came home to check on you. You need to get out and get your mind off things, why don’t you call up Egypt?”
“Okay, I will. Did you find out more info yet?”
“Don’t worry about that right now, baby. I need you to get your mind off everything and clear your head,” Tyson said sincerely before reaching into his wallet and pulling out his platinum card. “Here, take this and go to the spa, mall, salon, or whatever. Call up Egypt and have some fun, okay?”
“Okay, thank you, baby,” Remy whispered.
“No need to thank me, you know I got you baby,” Tyson smiled before planting a small kiss on her lips and standing to his feet to leave.
An hour later, when Remy was fully bathed, dressed, and ready to go, she glanced into the mirror one last time. She was dressed in a pair of casual blue jeans, a black T-shirt and a pair of all black Prada pumps. She feathered her long bang and threw gold eye shadow across her eyelids. Reaching into her purse and pulling out her .45 caliber, she locked the safety on before tucking it in the back of her pants. She forced a smiled before walking out of the house and jumping into her Mercedes Benz.
Pulling out of the driveway, she reached into her purse and pulled out her iPhone. Scrolling down to Egypt’s contact, she called her and when Egypt didn’t answer, she ended the call before dialing her number again.
“I’ll just wait until I get there,” Remy said to herself when Egypt didn’t answer again.
Fifteen minutes later, she pulled into front of Egypt’s apartment before killing the ignition to her car and hopping out of it.
Pulling out Egypt’s house key, she unlocked the door before walking in.
“Egypt girl! Where you at?” Remy yelled as she walked into the living room and placed her purse on the couch.
Walking up the staircase, she heard the faint moans coming from Egypt’s room and couldn’t help but smile.
“Home girl always getting some,” Remy joked to herself.
When she noticed Egypt’s door was opened slightly, she peeked into the room and the smile that was plastered on her face quickly disappeared.
With her heart slamming into her chest, her palms becoming sweaty, and words getting caught in her throat, anger quickly blinded her vision as she stormed into the room with complete rage.
“What the fuck is going on here?” she barked with her shoulders hunched and her eyes in angry slits.
“Oh my God, Remy!” Egypt yelled, trying her best to cover up her naked body as she climbed off of Shemar.
Shemar ignored Remy as he grabbed Egypt’s wrist, trying his best to get her to lie back down.
“So when the fuck did this start?” Remy asked in a low, icy tone.
“Don’t fucking worry about it, bitch! We’re through! So, why the fuck you care?” Shemar spat harshly as he twisted his mouth up in disgust.
“You’re one disrespectful ass motherfucker,” Remy chuckled before reaching in the back of her blue jeans and pulling out her .45 caliber.
“Fuck you gone do with that, bitch? I’m scared of that shit!” Shemar laughed.
Remy remained quiet as she stared at Egypt and shook her head in disbelief. Egypt, the one person she grew up with, shared her pain with, who was there when she was at her lowest to highest, and through laughter and tears, betrayed her in the worst way. The pain that arose in her chest was unbearable as she pointed the gun at Egypt and gritted her teeth.
“I said when the fuck did it start, Egypt?”
“Um-Um..eight months ago,” Egypt stammered, he
r legs shaking uncontrollably and tears forming in her eyes.
“Eight months ago? I was still pregnant with Jeremiah! You trifling bitch!” Remy yelled before cocking the gun back, ready to pull the trigger.
“Wait! Wait! Remy! I’m sorry! Please forgive me! I didn’t mean to do it!” Egypt cried as urine seeped from in between her legs.
Shemar laughed hysterically as he hopped out of the bed to retrieve his clothes. Standing to his feet, he started to dress into his pants until Remy aimed the gun at him and said in a menacing tone,
“Take one more step, your ass is grass. Try me.”
“Bitch, who the fuck are you talking to? Don’t fucking ever….”
Remy bit down on her lip as she aimed the gun at Shemar’s foot and didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?!” he yelled before wailing out a loud, guttural scream as he collapsed to the floor and clutched his foot in pain.
“Call me another fucking bitch and I bet you won’t live to see another day,” Remy threatened before turning her attention back to Egypt.
“So, you’ve been fucking Shemar for eight months, huh? Smiling in my face while you were fucking him behind my back? I thought we were best friends, Egypt?” Remy asked, shaking her head.
“We are Re-Re-Remy…it was a mistake,” Egypt said as she dropped her head in shame.
“Mistake? So, he tripped and accidently fell into your pussy by mistake, huh?” Remy asked in almost a whisper. “Egypt, we lost our virginities together, found our first love at the same damn time, and not to mention you were the godmother of my fucking son, and you betrayed me like this?”
Remy continued to aim the gun at Egypt, who was seconds away from losing consciousness from being gripped with so much fear. Taking a deep breath, Remy through her head back and rubbed the back of her neck.
“Never react when you’re emotional…never think with your emotions...it’ll only get you killed…never react….” Remy mumbled what Tyson taught her.
“You stay the fuck away from me, bitch. Don’t call me, bitch don’t even think about me,” Remy spat with venom before glancing at a trembling Egypt one last time.
She shook her head as she placed her gun back into the back of her pants before turning her attention to Shemar who was lying in a fetal position on the floor, mumbling curse words and trying to fight the pain.
Squatting to her knees, she kneeled close to his ear and said,
“As for you, you haven’t heard the last from me, motherfucker. You’re going to pay for what you did to me and my son, bitch!”
Standing to her feet, she gathered all the strength she had in her and walked out the front door.
Chapter Eight
Trigger-Happy rode his 2014 Aston Martin through Allegheny General Hospital’s parking lot before parking his car and hoping out. Dressed in a navy blue Puma jogging suit with the matching Puma sneakers, he walked into the hospital with a steady posture and his head held high.
“Hello I’m looking for Shemar Wentown’s room?” Trigger-Happy asked the receptionist.
Pulling out a chart, she browsed the paper before glancing up at Trigger-Happy and saying,
“Room one-twenty-eight.”
“Thank-you, ma’am,” he said politely before making his way towards Shemar’s room.
“What’s up? You all good?” Trigger-Happy asked as he walked into the room and noticed Shemar getting out of the hospital bed and trying his best to stand to his feet, but it was to no avail.
“No, that bitch done shot me in the fucking foot! Now I can barely walk and shit!” Shemar hissed in anger.
“Whoa, slow your roll! Why you trying to leave if you can barely walk? Why she shoot you, man?”
“Because I want that bitch dead! That’s why I’m trying to leave! But she caught me fucking Egypt and shit.”
“What? You fucked her best friend? What the fuck is wrong with you? Matter fact, what the fuck is wrong with all three of y’all? Y’all out here going neck and neck and shit, what’s really going on, man?”
“I just don’t like that bitch Remy, dawg. I want to see that bitch six-feet deep,” Shemar spat with pure hatred lacing each word.
“Why? You’re acting like a fucking bitch beefing with a female! The mother of you deceased son at that! Now, your ass is going to lay the fuck down and tell me what the fuck is really going on, Shemar!” Trigger-Happy demanded before taking a seat next to Shemar’s hospital bed.
Noticing the seriousness in his tone and the firm look in his brother’s eyes, Shemar exhaled before throwing his head back. Taking a deep breath, he began to explain.
“Man, Egypt and I had been messing around for about eight or nine months, right? When we started off, she was just a jump off and shit. Remy was pregnant and always moody and acted like she didn’t want me around her. So about two months after me and Egypt started messing around, we both developed feelings.” Shemar said before he paused to catch his breath. “Feelings were developed and shit but then this bitch Egypt falls in love, bro. When I say she fell in love, she fell head first! I was telling her I loved her and shit but I knew it was only the pussy I truly loved. I mean I had feelings for her of course, but nothing major.”
“Then what happened, Shemar? Where is Remy when all this shit is going on?”
“Remy was always at home, she was pregnant, man. But anyway, shit gets deeper when I put Egypt on my payroll and shit. She started smuggling drugs in for me and shit. Catching flights and doing road trips to bring me my kilos, she was really down for a nigga and shit, something Remy would never have done,” Shemar said, shaking his head in disgust. “So, then one day after we get done fucking and shit, Egypt starts crying and shit. I asked her what’s wrong and this bitch talking about she didn’t want me having a baby and shit by Remy and how she wished it was her. So I looked at her as if she was crazy but something deep down in me knew I wished the same shit, too. So I agreed then she sits up talking about she have the perfect plan.”
“A plan for what?” Trigger-Happy asked with confusion.
“To get rid of Remy, bro.” Shemar said, shaking his head as he continued. “She knew how me and Knowledge was beefing and she said if I went to Psycho and approached him about killing Remy when the baby was born, then it’ll look like Knowledge ordered the hit and shit. If we got rid of Remy, her and I could raise the baby as our own. At first, I thought this bitch was crazy but as I started to think about it, my mind and dick betrayed me and I gave in. I gave that nigga a hundred grand to kill Remy but told him not to bother Jeremiah.”
Trigger-Happy’s mouth dropped in shock as he then glanced at his brother in complete rage. He growled as he shook his head in disbelief and bit down on his lip.
“Are you fucking serious, Shemar? You let some scandalous bitch talk you into killing your baby’s mom and son, dawg? You and that bitch is sick!” Trigger-Happy barked in complete disgust.
“Man, I know! But fuck all that! The damage is fucking done, man! I can’t bring my son back and me and that bitch Remy would never get along!”
“Then you was still fucking that bitch Egypt after all this? You should’ve got rid of her the moment she asked you to kill your own girl! And you’re talking about killing Remy? Are you stupid, man? Don’t you think you already killed her on the inside after all the shit you put her through?”
“Man, like I said Trigger, fuck all that! That bitch already know what I did to her so I know it’s a matter of time before she try to come and find me! That’s why I’m trying to get out of this fucking hospital so I can get her before she fucking get me,” Shemar said before taking his crutches and placing under his underarms.
“What you mean you already know she after you?”
“When she shot me she told me I was gone pay for what I did to her and her son. The damage is fucking done, Trigger! I wish I can go back and changed what I did but I fucking can’t! What I need to know is that are you going to ride with me, dawg?” Sh
emar asked, clenching his jaw as he looked Trigger-Happy directly into his eyes.
Trigger-Happy shook his head in disbelief as he slowly digested everything Shemar had told him. Even though he knew Shemar was wrong in every shape and form, Trigger-Happy knew Shemar was still his younger brother and he was his brother’s protector and through right and wrong, he’d still have his back no matter what.
“Yeah man, you know I got your back. But, how are you gone make moves when you can barely walk and shit?”
“Don’t worry about that. The bullet only grazed my foot. Plus, you know I don’t let shit stop me,” Shemar said before limping out the hospital room.

“What’s wrong with you?” Tyson asked Remy as she walked into the front door.
“N-nothing…why you ask that?” Remy lied.
“I told you I know you, Remy. Now stop lying and come here baby. Take a seat next to me and tell me how your day was,” Tyson smiled as Remy walked towards him.
Taking a seat next to him before laying her head into his lap, she exhaled deeply before briefly closing her eyes.
“I shot Shemar,” she whispered.
“You did what? When? How?” Tyson asked, confusingly.
“When I went to go see Egypt, I had a key to her house. I walked into her house and bedroom, found her fucking Shemar. He was talking shit so I shot him in his foot, told him I’ll see him later and he’s going to pay for what he did to me and my son,” Remy explained.
“You did what, Remy? I told you to stop reacting off you emotions, girl! He wasn’t supposed to know that we knew, baby. It’s all about moving in silence,” Tyson said disappointedly.
“I’m sorry, baby! It all just caught me by surprise! I just want to be done with this! I’m tired! I’m tired, Tyson! I just want my son to rest in peace! I know he’s not if I’m stressing like this! Tyson, I just want it all to be over with!” Remy cracked and broke as her body trembled uncontrollably.
