Kissing Chaos Page 15

by Jill Knowles

Panting, she pulled away, tumbling to the side and frantically yanking at her pants.

“Like this.” Dax pulled her jeans and panties down to just below her knees, then helped her up onto her knees and elbows. The position left her vulnerable, her aching pussy exposed, her legs effectively bound. “Powers, Maggie.” Dax’s mouth found her, making her squeal. Hot wetness pressed against hot wetness. He licked up her juices, his tongue making long, heated forays into her center. Growling, he caught her clit in his mouth, suckling greedily at the tender bud.

“So good.” She bucked beneath him. She tried to spread her legs farther apart, but the denim caging her calves wouldn’t let her. The restriction of movement was frustrating and sexy.

Dax stopped sucking, instead concentrating on licking every bit of her pussy. She moaned, leaning into the long, slow licks. He pulled away, blowing gently on her heated flesh. The sudden, unexpected coolness pushed her into a climax. An extra long lick moved higher than she was expecting, just brushing her asshole.

“Dax? I don’t -- I’ve never ...” She’d heard that the anus was one of the most sensitive erogenous zones on a person, but she’d never quite had the courage to try anything.

“Let me. Please. If you don’t like it, I’ll stop.”

She nodded, forgetting he couldn’t see her. The next swipe of his tongue passed directly over her tight pucker. She shivered, not sure if she liked the sensation. He laved her there with his tongue, the pressure almost too much on her sensitized flesh. The alien sensations were good, but too intense. “Dax, please, it’s too much.”

He kissed her opening, then each of her cheeks. “What would you like, Maggie?”

She wanted him inside her, wanted to lose herself in his strength. “Love me?”

“Powers protect me, Maggie, I think I do.”

She heard the sound of foil tearing, then the blunt tip of his cock was pressing into her. “Dax.” She pushed back, impaling herself on his shaft. The words spilled out of her. “Love me. Love you.”

He growled, pulling back then thrusting in. She was wild for him, moving counter to his motions so they were separating completely, then coming together hard. It was a rough, brutal loving, more violent and powerful than anything she’d ever experienced.

She climaxed, arching against him and clenching her muscles around him. He snarled, his thrusts quick and deep as his own climax hit him. “My treasure,” he panted, resting his forehead against her back.

Maggie tightened her vaginal muscles around him. “My demon.”

  Chapter Sixteen

Dax watched Maggie sleep. She looked younger than her thirty-five years, serene and innocent. Which, he knew quite conclusively, she was not. Woof. She’d been a wild woman last night, fucking herself on his cock, claiming him as surely as he’d claimed her. “And how,” he whispered, stroking her hair back from her temple. The lingering scent of sex teased his nostrils and made his penis stir. He considered waking her up for another round, but knew she needed to rest. The dark circles she’d been sporting yesterday gave mute testimony to the upheaval he’d brought to her life. I am sorry, sweet Maggie.

“Hm,” she murmured, turning onto her side away from him.

Ouch. The elbow she dug into his side was sharp. And his good arm was asleep. He kissed her shoulder, wishing they’d dared to get fully naked last night. A slight smile quirked his lips. Straightening clothing after such a shattering orgasm hadn’t been easy or dignified.

He tugged his arm from beneath her, scowling as it filled with the pins and needles of returning circulation. He’d dozed for a few hours, but now, he was wide awake. I should go and relieve Sean. Flexing the fingers in his hand to speed the return of normal blood flow, he pondered the younger man’s surprising revelation. Dax enjoyed being surprised, but for a few minutes there, Maggie had looked like she was going to explode. And not in the good way.

He stared up at the tent’s screened roof. Could she deal with the chaos that surrounded him? Did she want to? Did he want her to? That one at least had an easy answer. Yes. He wanted to be with her for as long as she’d have him.

Startled by the depth of his feelings, he explored that thought. Did he want to offer her the bonding spell? Link their lives and deaths? The quick answer was not just yes, but hell, yes! It wasn’t that easy, though. The spell was no guarantee of longevity, and could actually shorten Maggie’s life if anything were to happen to him. And was he really sure that he wanted to live the rest of his life -- however long or short it might be -- with Maggie? What if they grew apart? One of his succubus aunts was trapped in a loveless spell-bond marriage. Tied forever to a human man she’d come to despise. Could something like that happen between us? He didn’t think so, but presumably his aunt had also believed she and her husband would love each other forever.

It’s too early in the morning for these thoughts. It was time to see if Sean needed a break. Dax climbed out of the tent, then leaned back in to retrieve his gun.

“Hey.” Sean spoke quietly, the shotgun resting across his legs.

“Anything?” Dax asked, sitting next to the redhead.

  “Not even a passing rabbit.”

And how weird is that? There should be tons of animals out here, to say nothing of the insects. Could thousands of-year-old Fury traces really still be that potent? Or was it something else? Remembering the fear from last night, he rubbed goosebumps from his arms. “Good,” Dax said, tucking his pistol into the chair pocket. “What time is it?”

“Just after four. The sun should be up in an hour or so.”

“You doin’ all right?” Dax studied the other man in the dim light. The redhead looked okay -- if a bit tired. He knew Sean had spent the better part of yesterday helping search for the missing girl; he had to be exhausted.

“I’m good. I slept in yesterday morning.” He brightened. “Do you really think this cave will bring people to Keily?”

Dax nodded. “Oh, yeah. The archaeologist was just about creaming her jeans just from the pictures I showed her.” He rubbed the area around the bite wound in his shoulder. It was still painful, but it was getting steadily better. Still won’t be much good in a fight, though. With luck, Jethro and the rest of the reinforcements would show up before the looters did. He needed a couple days of rest and good food to really get the healing process going. Food. “Is there any pizza left?”

Sean snorted. “Only enough to feed a small army. There’s also quite a bit of chicken and hush puppies left. It’s all in the back compartment of the SUV -- which is unlocked.”

“Cool.” Dax wasted no time in loading a plate with two pieces of each type of pizza, detouring only long enough to get a bottle of sports drink. He sank back into his chair and took a big bite of the pepperoni combo.

“I’ve noticed you favoring that shoulder,” Sean said.

Dax took a hasty gulp of sports drink to wash his pizza down. “It hurts like crap, but I can use it.” He finished the wedge of pizza in a few quick bites and picked up a slice of the Canadian bacon combo. “Sort of.”

“How’d it happen, if you don’t mind my asking?”

Dax considered not answering, but there really was no sense in keeping it a secret, especially as the evidence had apparently wandered away. “Rabid bear.”

Sean choked. “You, what, rabid bear?”

Giving his companion a look, Dax chewed and swallowed. “Yeah. I killed it two days ago, but not before it chewed up my shoulder. And before you ask, I’m immune to rabies.” He pointed to the place where the fight had ended. “The body should be right over there. But it’s missing.” He ate another bite while Sean fidgeted. “I have no idea what happened to it. Quite frankly, it’s freaking me out.” He stuffed the crust into his mouth. Nothing better than cold pizza for breakfast. Unless it was cold pizza eaten after indulging in hot sex. Maybe I should have woken Maggie up.

“Freaky is right,” the younger man said, running a hand through his hair and making it stand on
end. “I’ve done a couple of spells, trying to find out what that thing was.” He smoothed his hair back down. “I didn’t find anything. At least nothing new.” He looked pensive. “Do you know what happened inside the cave?”

Dax watched Maggie crawl out of the tent and waited until she joined them. He gave her a mock frown as she stole one of the slices of fried chicken pizza from his plate. “The story I’ve heard has been handed down from the Fury side of my family.” He backtracked a bit. “I should give you a little history first. Originally, the Fury line was dedicated to tracking down and punishing people who break their sworn oaths. As modern ideas weakened the power of oathgiving, that’s become more of a sideline. Currently, the family concentrates mostly on private security.” He held up a hand to forestall Sean’s question. “Anyway, the people in the village did something to violate a powerful oath.” He shuddered, remembering the carnage that was still evident inside the cave. “I don’t know what it was, but it was bad. Bad enough that everyone living in the village was sentenced to death, including the children. Which is unheard of. My people don’t harm children.” He glanced toward the mouth of the cave. “Or, at least, that’s what I’ve always believed.” The knowledge of his family’s brutal past chilled him. It was one thing to know that his species was capable of such an atrocity; but it was another thing entirely to know that his ancestors were the ones who had murdered those children.

“Could whatever they did somehow have created that thing that we felt?” Maggie asked.

“Maybe.” Dax shrugged his right shoulder. “If we had any idea what the fear-thing is, I’d have a better idea.” Something niggled at the edge of his brain. A story he’d heard as a youngster, about a creature that animated bodies. Maybe Jethro would remember when he arrived.

Dax rubbed his thumb across his fingertips, wishing he had something concrete to fight. “We don’t know if it’s a creature, a ghost, or stray magic.” He thought for a moment. “My mom might know. She’s into that whole genealogy thing, likes to trace the family roots. I’ll give her a call once we’ve got the site squared away.” He wondered what his mother would make of Maggie. I’ll bet they get along just fine.

“There are a couple of local histories I can check. And we’ve got a number of old diaries the library is storing.” Maggie patted her pocket. “They may have closed the doors, but I still have the key.”

“That leaves me,” Sean said, after giving Maggie a high five. “I’ll canvass the magic community, see if anyone’s heard or felt anything.” He yawned as he finished speaking.

Maggie patted his knee. “Go and get some sleep. We’ll keep watch.”

“Thanks.” Sean stood, laying the shotgun across the seat of his chair. He stretched as he walked to the tent. “Oh, and by the way? Anytime you need someone to listen while you fuck? Feel free to call. That was hot.” He winked and crawled into the tent.

  * * * * *

It had been at least a half hour since Sean had gone to bed, and Maggie’s cheeks were still flushed. She rested her head on Dax’s good shoulder and watched the sun rise. The worst of it was, she wasn’t sure whether or not she was flushed with embarrassment or arousal. Knowing that Sean could hear every pant, thrust, and cry had tweaked a kink she never knew she had. What if we’d let him watch? Or watched him and Junior? Her juices started to flow at the image.

Dax took a deep breath, inhaling through his nose. “You’re getting wet, Maggie. Dare I ask what you’re thinking about?” His voice was low and sultry, setting her clit throbbing.

“Last night.” She shifted in the chair, gasping as her movement pulled the crotch of her jeans tight against her pussy. “I’ve never really thought about voyeurism, but knowing Sean could hear us? It turned me on.” Boy had it! She’d been slick and ready before Dax had even touched her.

“Would you like to invite him to watch sometime? Or maybe see if he and Junior want to let us watch them fuck?” His breath was hot against her ear, making her shiver.

Maggie’s nipples tightened to hard little points. “I don’t ...”

“Imagine it. Sean and Junior watching my hard cock disappear into your tight sheath. Would that get you hot? Me inside you, my fingers pinching your nipples while your friends observed?” He slid his hand between her legs, his palm massaging her swollen center. “Or maybe I could suck on your clit while you watch those two beautiful men please each other.” He drew her earlobe into his mouth and suckled it as he rubbed between her legs with long, hard strokes. “Would you like to see Sean swallow his husband’s cock? Or maybe Junior’s cock sliding into Sean’s ass?” Her panties were soaked from the come she was leaking, and she arched her back, pressing against his hand.

The birdcall ring of Sean’s phone filled the morning air. Maggie whimpered when Dax pulled his hand away.

“Hello?” Sean’s voice was husky with sleep. “Cool. See ya in a bit. Hey guys,” he called, “That was Junior. They’ll be here pretty soon. Um. Junior, Joni and Kevin Taylor, and the Forest Service law enforcement guy. Maybe fifteen minutes or so.”

Maggie grinned at the garbled content of Sean’s message. “We’ll watch for them. Go back to sleep, we’ll send Junior in to wake you up.”

  “That would be wonderful.”

Dax slid his hand back between her legs. “Now, where were we?”

Sliding down in the chair, Maggie opened her legs to accommodate his caresses. “You were talking about voyeurism, and petting me.”

He chuckled and tickled his fingers against her crotch, making her giggle and squirm. “That’s right. We were talking about watching Junior fuck Sean. Have you ever had anything in your ass?”

“No.” She bit her lip, and added, “I’ve been curious, but never been brave enough to try anything.” The anal vibrators she’d seen in the sex shops were interesting, but she just couldn’t quite bring herself to buy one. “Have you ever done that? Been, um, penetrated, I mean?” She blushed, hoping she hadn’t offended him with her questions.

“I’ve had sex with men.” He shrugged his good shoulder. “It was okay, but I definitely prefer women. However --” His hand slid back until he was brushing across her ass. “I love having my prostate stimulated. Would you consider using a strap-on or a double headed dildo to fuck me?”

Ghzzzttt. Maggie heard her brain short out at that image, and she came, bucking helplessly against his hand. “Dax!”

After her panting stopped and she got her brain back on line, she grinned up into his bemused face. “I’m thinking that was a yes.”

He smirked. “Me, too.” He looked up, cocking his head to one side. “Incoming.”

Maggie stood, making sure the shotgun was in easy reach. In the distance, she saw a white Ford F-150 truck. “It’s Junior. Boy, that was fast.” Then again, she hadn’t exactly been paying attention to the passage of time. She sat on Dax’s lap, a startling surge of possessiveness making her want to be sure everyone knew Dax belonged to her.

Dax nibbled on her neck, murmuring, “I can smell your pleasure, Maggie-mine. I’ll be able to smell it all morning, and I’m going to be hard for you the whole time.”

“I like that,” she confessed, breathing the words into his ear. “Knowing how much you want me.” She pressed her lips to Dax’s as she heard Junior’s truck stop, and the doors open. She knew she really should stand up, but part of her wanted Junior to see her and Dax kissing. Dax seemed happy to cooperate, tangling his tongue with hers in a lazy kiss.

  “Well, well, isn’t this cozy.”

Maggie jerked away from Dax, standing to face the unexpected visitors. Dax stood beside her, and she could feel the tension radiating from him.

She didn’t know one of the men, but the other ... “Oh, crap,” Maggie said, recognizing Greg Cannon, a Forest Service employee, and Suzie Quinn’s cousin. Greg was a bully, who jumped from get-rich-quick scheme to get-rich-quick scheme. He was also hot tempered and prone to violence. The rifle each man held did nothing to reassure her. And they we
ren’t just any rifles. Maggie’s heart sank as she recognized the distinctive shape of the M16. The way her luck was currently running, both men’s weapons would be modified from semi to fully automatic.

  “Gentlemen,” Dax said.

Maggie looked longingly down at the shotgun resting across the chair seat. If she could grab it, she wouldn’t even have to aim. Just hold it at hip height and pull the trigger. And if it looked like that was the only choice, she’d do it. The site wasn’t worth her life, but Dax and Sean were, and if she had to kill two men to protect them, so be it.

Come on, Junior. We need the cavalry right about now. She hoped the two police officers arrived quickly; otherwise, things could get ugly. They needed to stall as much as possible.

  “This is interesting,” Greg said.

“Hi, Greg. Out for a spin?” Fear and anger fought for dominance inside her. Adrenaline pumped through her, and she forced herself to remain calm. The air felt charged, as if a storm would strike at any moment.

“Sorry, this camping area is full,” Dax said.

The man with Greg stepped forward. “I’m sure we can reach some sort of accommodation.” He was an average-looking man, of medium height and build, with dirty blond hair. There was nothing noteworthy about his jeans and white button-down shirt, either. Only the heavy turquoise and silver bracelet on his left wrist and the crocodile skin cowboy boots spoke of wealth. He held his M16 with the casual arrogance of someone used to facing confrontation. The smirk on his face said he didn’t anticipate any problems with them. Maggie wanted to slap the supercilious grin right off his pasty face.

“Yeah,” Greg said. “You two can get lost.”

“Not going to happen,” Dax said. “We like it here.”

“You need to leave before you piss me off, shorty.” Greg glared at Dax.
