Smack! He landed on a cold slab of stone.
Smack! Angel landed next to him, a huge gasp issuing from her stunned lungs.
Sorrell dropped with a thump. Borbon and Gorbon tumbled down too. Tallahassee scurried down the morphing sides.
They gathered together, wide-eyed, while Little Red continued to spin. Gray rock walls formed, a doorway in one. The red dome began to vanish as stone pieced itself together right over their heads. Darkness consumed them. Vinnie heard a clatter, reached out blindly and grabbed his staff.
“Oh star in the sky,
lend me your light,
thanks.”
Once more, soft light bloomed out from his staff. He looked from one companion to his next. “I guess this is a dungeon,” he said.
“Just a small one,” Little Red’s voice rang out.
Vinnie’s mouth gaped open.
A six foot tall Little Red leaning against a doorway.
“Now, we’ve taken enough shit these last few days. Don’t you think it’s time we started fighting back?” Not-So-Little-Red said.
“Hell yeah,” Vinnie cried.
“Hell yeah,” they all cried.
