by Dixie Lynn Dwyer

She was tight on time as she looked at her cell phone and saw ten text messages and a few voice messages. Exhaling, she wondered what was going on, but then she saw the texts were from the guys. Michael, Antoine, and Pierre asked how her hand was and told her that they missed her. She smiled as the warm feeling filled her belly. Then there were two text messages from Douglas. One asking how she was feeling and how he missed her and the other about looking forward to their date tonight. She instantly felt the smile reach her cheeks all the way to her heart. She had strong feelings for all four men and was looking forward to getting to know them better.

She glanced at her watch and saw the time. She really needed to freshen up her makeup and get ready to go. As she quickly mass texted them back, she thanked them for caring, told them her hand was fine and that she missed them, too, and looked forward to her date with Douglas. Hitting “send,” she smiled as she walked over to her purse and pulled out her makeup bag. She placed her phone on speaker and listened to her voice messages as she applied her makeup. She heard Douglas’s voice and instantly was giddy. Then the others and suddenly a very deep, creepy tone. “I’m watching you and I want you. I won’t give up until I have you. There’s nothing they can do.” She stopped what she was doing and instantly felt her heart ache. Was it Vincent? It didn’t sound like him. She heard the next message and then the ones that followed. They were similar or there was just silence and what sounded like heavy breathing and her name whispered between panting. She pressed “end” then lifted up the phone to scroll through the numbers. She recognized the guys’ numbers, but then there were several private numbers.

Her gut ached. She wondered what she should do. She remembered Pierre’s words warning her to tell him immediately if anything happened. Maybe these calls were from Vincent before Pierre had a chance to take care of things? She wasn’t sure what to do as she gathered her things and headed out of the office to her appointment. While driving, she felt nervous, and her hands were shaking. Those calls were scary, and she kept glancing around in her rearview mirror trying to see if anyone might be following her. She didn’t like the feeling she had. She needed to call the guys. Her phone began to ring as she pulled into the attorney’s office parking lot. She could see her client waiting by the walkway, glancing at his watch. He looked at her and an expression of relief hit his face. She didn’t have time to call the guys now. She would call them when she was done.

Suddenly Marie Cherise’s words of advice entered her mind. Although at the moment she couldn’t recall her exact words, the intensity of her tone caused Mikayla to call Michael as she got out of the car.

“What do you mean a strange voice? How many calls? Did you recognize the voice at all?” He asked her a bunch of questions, but she couldn’t stall the meeting much longer. She needed to get inside.

“I’m sorry, Michael, this is going to have to wait. I need to get into the meeting to close this deal. I’ll call you when I’m done here.”

  “Where is your meeting?”

“McComber and Loft Law Offices,” she told him.

“Call me immediately if anything else odd occurs.”

“I will.” She hung up the phone and despite the intensity of Michael’s tone, immediate investigative attitude, and professionalism, she felt slightly relieved she’d called but also unsure if she were blowing this out of proportion. She couldn’t think about it now. She had to do this closing. As she greeted everyone in the meeting room, she thought about Douglas and his big, strong arms, and she couldn’t wait to see him and have him hold her.

  * * * *

They were concerned to say the least. Knowing very little about Mikayla’s past, Michael and his brothers had little information to go by. Could the caller have been Vincent Lukon, even though Isaac paid the man a visit earlier in the day? Could this have something to do with a past relationship or even a secret admirer potentially stalking her? Or, perhaps it had something to do with Bennitto Flores? But why would Flores send a message to Mikayla when she had nothing to do with the case? It was Illeanna that Flores vowed to capture and keep for himself.

Michael felt sick to his stomach. He didn’t like to think that Mikayla was in some sort of danger. He went to her office, spoke with her secretary, and found out that all her calls had been forwarded to her voice mail. That meant that the caller didn’t know her cell phone number. He was calling the main office line.

He contacted a friend in the local telephone company and was working on getting records of the call history from her agency.

His cell phone began to ring, and he hoped it was Mikayla, but it was Douglas. They were all waiting to make sure Mikayla was safe.

“Hey, I’m at the attorney’s office now. I parked next to her car. As soon as she comes out, I’ll make sure no more calls go to her cell,” Douglas told Michael.

“She probably won’t have any. I was at her office, and all her calls this morning were directed through the main line and to her voice mail. I’m working on getting records from the phone company.”

“Didn’t Mikayla say the number came up as private?”

“Yeah, but the phone company has ways of exposing that. It will just take a little time and a few favors,” Michael stated. Douglas chuckled.

“I’ll take care of her, Michael. I’ll call you when she’s with me.”

“Be sure to do that. If anything seems suspicious, call me immediately.”

Douglas hung up the phone, and Michael knew he had ticked him off. But Douglas wasn’t law enforcement. Sure he worked out and did jujitsu, but they didn’t know who they were dealing with here. Mikayla had instantly become an important part of their lives.

Mikayla walked out with one of the attorneys, Bradford McComber. He was flirting with her and had been admiring her dress suit. He touched her shoulder and moved a little closer to her.

“How about a drink or perhaps dinner if you don’t have plans?”

She shyly stepped back then looked around toward the parking lot. There stood Douglas, all six feet plus of him, leaning against the front of a large black Escalade with tinted windows, and he looked pissed.

Bradford followed her line of sight and cleared his throat.

“That someone you know?” he asked.

She nodded her head as she absorbed Douglas from afar. Boy, did he look sexy, and she couldn’t wait for those big, muscular arms to hug her and hold her close. She was wrapped in her own desires when she felt Bradford tug her sleeve.

  “Are you okay?”

“Yes, that’s my dinner date. Thanks for everything. I’ll see you next week. I almost have the Smiths ready to sign. It has come down to two places and you represent both clients. Have a good night,” she stated then hurriedly headed down the stairs toward Douglas. The skirt of her dress suit was slim fitting, and she couldn’t get to him fast enough as the material hugged her thighs. As soon as she was close enough to see his facial expression, she stopped short.

“Who the hell is that?” he asked, sounding very jealous.

She didn’t bother to look over her shoulder.

“That’s one of the attorneys. Don’t be mad. Please, it’s been a long day,” she stated then lowered her head. She felt the energy just draining from her. She had been worried all during the meeting about the phone calls then about Michael and Pierre. She also wondered if she and Douglas would get to have their date, and of course she wondered about Antoine. God, she missed them all.

In an instant Douglas touched her cheek, and she closed her eyes and snuggled into his hand.

“Come here, sugar,” he whispered then pulled her into an embrace. He held her close, caressing her waist and lower back as she absorbed being in his arms.

“I’m sorry for getting angry. I saw that guy touch you, and it pissed me off. God, you’ve had a bad day and you don’t need me being a jealous asshole.”

She chuckled then looked up to him. She could see the intensity in his eyes and his sincerity.
She was beginning to think that Douglas lacked a bit of self-confidence. He probably didn’t even know how good-looking he was.

“Just kiss me will you,” she told him.

He smiled wide then leaned down and kissed her. His lips were softly pressed against her lips, but soon the kiss grew deeper. Then she felt Douglas’s hand plastered against her ass. She was hot, hungry, and so desperate for him to be inside of her she whimpered. He eased his mouth from hers and released her lips.

“Are you okay? I didn’t hurt you did I?” he asked.

“God no, that was amazing. I love how it feels in your arms, Douglas. I feel safe, like nothing bad can happen to me.”

He held her gaze as if thinking about what she said.

“I’m glad you feel safe with me. How about we start our date officially?”

She thought about it a moment.

“Can we change the plans around to accommodate the long, kind-of-freaky day I had?” she asked.

“Sure. It’s up to you, just as long as we have this date so the others aren’t ahead of me.”

He was definitely competitive with his brothers and a bit insecure. That was something she could help him with.

She ran the palms of her hands up his muscular, wide chest to his broad shoulders and held his gaze.

“What do you say we pick up some takeout food and head to my place for a relaxing evening together? The others didn’t get to do that with me.”

He hoisted her up against him and ran his hand over her ass cheek and squeezed.

“Oh, that sounds real nice, sugar. I can’t wait to see your bedroom. Oh, I mean your house.” He winked. Mikayla chuckled then swatted her hand against his chest.

  “Come on, you.”

He walked her to her car and watched her get inside. Before he closed the door, he told her he would call the others to let them know that she was safe. She smiled up at him.

Then she watched as he headed back to his truck but not before glancing around after getting the feeling that they were being watched.

  Chapter 9

“So let me get this straight, Nick, she was just making out in the middle of the fucking parking lot with another guy? A different guy than this morning? Not Pierre?” Vincent Lukon asked the investigator he’d hired. After Bently had sent his fucking bodyguard to threaten him not to ever speak to Mikayla or ever go near her again, he was pissed. Then to top it off the fucking lowlife bodyguard had the nerve to laugh at him and his broken nose. The bitch was going to pay for that.

“Yes, sir,” Nick stated, and Vincent could hear the papers shuffling over the phone.

“I have the names of the others. It appears that they’re brothers.”

“Brothers? You think they’re brothers with Pierre Bently, too?”

  “Maybe adoptive brothers.”

“Damn, she’s something else, fucking four brothers. What about that guy I told you about that was with her the day she took off on me? He had a sports car. A Mercedes I think.”

  “Yeah, he’s another brother.”

“What? That’s fucking sick. They’re sharing her or something?”

“It seems that way. You know multiple-partner relationships are not so foreign anymore. There are a lot of towns where this shit is practiced and the relationships last longer than traditional ones,” Nick stated.

“Well thanks, Dr. Phil, for your insight. Get me what I want. I need to know when she’s alone so I can grab her. In the meantime I’m going to leave another message for her.”

“What do you want me to do now?”

“That’s it for tonight. Tomorrow I want you to follow her. The second she’s alone, call me so I can have a word or two with her. Leaving messages on a phone is child’s play.”

Nick hung up the phone, and Vincent thought about his options.

She was going to pay for denying him what he wanted. Taking her, fucking her, then sending her back to Bently would be the ultimate payment for his shrewd business dealings and revenge for the agony and money loss he cost Vincent.

See how you like that, you greedy fuck.

Mikayla was a little surprised to see Franco and Johnny waiting outside of her house when she and Douglas had arrived. She parked her car then got out and saw Franco pulling Douglas into a big hug. Obviously they all knew one another.

“What’s going on?” she asked as she joined them, saying hello to Johnny and Franco who kissed her on the cheek. Franco held her gaze a moment.

“Are you okay? Your sisters are worried.”

“They know about the phone calls?” she asked.

Franco and Johnny nodded their heads. She threw her hands up in the air.

“Great! Just what I need. Now they’ll be all worried constantly. Illeanna and especially Angelique don’t need this right now. There’s enough going on with the construction and Angelique’s pregnancy.”

Douglas grabbed her hand and pulled her next to him. He towered over her, but she had to admit she liked it and was getting used to them pulling her into their strong arms. It was a definite perk to having a significant man in her life or in this case, men.

“Hey, they’re just worried about your safety. Don’t freak out and don’t think for one second that you can handle this on your own. As a matter of fact, I thought we discussed pressing charges this morning after you told Michael and Pierre?”

“Michael mentioned it again. I haven’t decided yet, but if these calls continue, then I suppose I will have to right?”

“What do you think?” Johnny asked, sounding sarcastic.

“Anyway, we just wanted to be sure you were safe getting in. I see you have some carryout food. We’ll let you get to it. Be safe and call us if you need anything,” Franco said then shook Douglas’s hand again.

Douglas kept his hand at her back as she opened up her front door and stepped inside.

“This is really nice. Did you take down the walls or was it like this originally?” He followed her toward the kitchen.

“I had them taken down. I wanted more room. You can set the food down there. Do you mind if I change into something more comfortable?” she asked.

“Can I watch?” he teased, and before she could roll her eyes and turn her back on him, he was pulling her into his embrace.

He kissed her deeply, while caressing her body with his hands, getting her all riled up.

Releasing her lips, he began to unzip the skirt she wore, and she held his shoulders.

  “Douglas, what about dinner?”

“He kissed her neck then her chin as he held her gaze.

“Got a microwave?” he teased then kissed her mouth as she chuckled.

He swiftly removed her jacket and then rubbed his hands up and down her bare arms slowly.

“You look so sexy in this suit, baby, but I want to see you naked, now,” he told her, and she slumped against him.

He immediately lifted her up and carried her to the bedroom. In a matter of a few seconds he had her undressed and standing in the center of her room with her high heels, her black thong panties, and matching black lace bra still on.

  * * * *

He loved the way her fingers felt rubbing through his shoulder-length hair. She smelled so good, and he couldn’t wait to taste her and kiss her everywhere he could.

He looked her over at an arm’s length.

“You are so gorgeous and sexy, sugar. I love the curve of your hips, your long, toned thighs, and the fact that you’re wearing panties and high heels. You’re gonna make me come right here in my pants.”

He ran his finger down her throat, over the cleavage of her breasts, then to her panties. Mikayla rolled her head back and moaned.

“You like that, sugar? You like when I touch you here,” he teased then caressed a finger over her mound and against the thin material of her panties.

“Yes, oh God, Douglas, please do something.” The sight of her begging like this with her eyes closed and her body open to his touch was
too much to resist a moment longer.

He fell to his knees, pushed her panties down and off, then placed one leg on his left thigh, opening her to his view. He touched the delicate flesh, hearing her moan softly then tilt her pelvis closer to his finger.

“So soft and pretty and pink. I want to take a taste of this pretty pink pussy, sugar.”

“Yes!” she told him then grabbed his head as he leaned closer to swipe his tongue along her wet folds.

She held his head there, and he tried hard to hide his chuckle. He pulled back slightly and blew warm breath against her folds. She swayed against him again, and this time he added a finger.

Grabbing on to his shoulders, Mikayla spread her thighs farther, and her foot pressed harder on his thigh.

“I thought of nothing all day but fucking you, sugar. I missed you.” He pressed his finger up and into her, moving it in and out in slow strokes.

  “Please, Douglas, I want you.”

“You do, huh? Do you want me slow or fast?” He used his free hand to tease her back entrance as he finger-fucked her.

“Oh, Douglas, please, I don’t care. I just want you inside of me,” she admitted. That was what he wanted to hear.

He slowly let her foot down and began to strip out of his clothing. Mikayla kicked off her high heels, and he grabbed her around the waist, lifted her up, and tossed her onto the bed. He landed between her legs, headfirst and tongue ready for more of his sweet sugar’s cream.

Mikayla screamed and held his head as he ate at her cunt, sucking her clit, making her squirm beneath his ministrations.

She clamped her thighs against his head and tilted her pelvis up, trying to make him suck harder. Releasing her clit, he began to rise up, grabbed her thighs, and lifted her fast so that she was totally on her back, thighs spread open and her pussy at his disposal.
