  ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I can hardly believe that She Did It is my eleventh crime novel—it feels like it was only yesterday when I was tentatively publishing Taunting the Dead and hoping that one or two people might like it! To say that I am grateful to the hundreds of thousands of readers who have invested their time and money in my books would be an enormous understatement. Your faith and support has meant so much to me over these last few years—thank you all so very much.

Particular thanks must go to the friends I am very lucky to have – and who are nothing like Esther Smedley! Alison Niebiezczanski, Caroline Mitchell, Talli Roland, Louise Ross and Sharon Sant. Also to my fabulous agent, Madeleine Milburn, and Hayley Steed. Thank you all for coffee, cake, Pimms, chats, laughs, pick-me-ups and general cheerleading. You women rock!

I want to say a huge thank you to anyone who has read my books, sent me emails, messages, engaged with me on social media or come to see me at various events over the country. Without you behind me, this wouldn’t be half as much fun. I love what I do and hope you continue to enjoy my books. Likewise, my thanks go out to all the wonderful book bloggers and enthusiasts who have read my stories and taken the time out of their busy lives to write such beautiful reviews, I am grateful to all of you!

Thank you to Martin Tideswell and everyone at The Sentinel, Stoke-on-Trent. Thank you for taking this Stokie under your wing. The support you give me is amazing! #localandproud

Sincere thanks to Domi for her excellent skills in designing the most perfect book cover ever.

Finally, to Chris. Without your support I know I wouldn’t have got this far. One million books sold! Love you to bits, fella.
