  Master Ulezander

  A powerful and influential mage. He is an Elder which means he is part of the Council of Mages. He is Morgorth and Elyssa's mentor. He found Morgorth when he was a child and trained him despite the objection of the Council. He was Morgorth's first friend.

  morag

  Intelligent creatures. They live in varying environments and have a solemn nature. They're 5-6 feet tall with gray skin and black eyes. They are hairless and skinny with a very pungent scent. They have a big nose and mouth. They are best known for their morose poetry.

  Morgorth

  A powerful mage and the seventh son of a seventh son. He is also known as the Dark Mage or the Dark Mage of the East. He is mistrusted by the Council of Mages and has few allies. He lives in his castle fortress of Geheimnis which is surrounded by his dark forest of Vorgoroth. His closest neighbors are the village creatures of Happy Valley.

  Mother

  The creator deity of Karishian. She is said to have created and structured the universe where Karishian resides. She is the protector, the mother, and the warrior. She writes the destinies of all her children and sometimes interferes, visiting her children in dreams and visions.

  Nanna

  A female mage. She is a "dog" of the Council, an enforcer.

  necromant

  Corpses of varying creatures inhabited by spirits of violence from the underworld; raised by a hex by a mage or sorcerer for evil purposes; forbidden by the Council.

  Night Fire

  Tiny creatures seen as a bright ball of light. They lure travelers at night to their death over cliffs, in bogs, or predators' lairs.

  Oblivion

  The location of the cage where the Mother imprisoned the formoryans. It is located at the edge of her universe.

  pae

  Affectionate and intimate term for one's father, specific to the Ravena tribe

  payshtha

  Large beasts that were the first intelligent creatures created by the Mother. They grow to a great size, though they have the ability to shrink their size for a limited amount of time. They have horns on their head, large wings, and a tail. They come in blues, greens, reds, and rarely black. They are lizard-like in appearance but there are variations around the world. They become more powerful as they grow older. They can breathe fire of pure magick.

  payshtha fire

  Payshtha fire is pure magick, it can destroy anything, whether it is natural or magickal made. The fire is a part of their soul and it follows their will. It will harm or not harm according to the payshtha's will.

  Pferun Dulleriin

  The official name for the "Stones of Power". According to myth, these stones were created by the first seven mages ever born. They created them to help the Mother when she battled the formoryans who strained against their cage. There are major, minor, and lesser stones with varying personalities and varying elements they control.

  querian

  Small, simple-minded creatures who are the cousin of the payshtha. They are palm-sized, very colorful. Used as message carriers.

  Raskalin

  Kingdom south of Morgorth's territory. Inhabited by seela.

  Raskalin, King

  King of the Raskalin kingdom.

  revenai

  Dark monsters of chaos that reside in the Underworld. They come in varying shapes and sizes with different powers. They are usually multi-limbed and multi-headed. They can be summoned and controlled by powerful mages. They live for nothing but chaos, destruction, and bloodshed

  rym

  Elemental entities that inhabit their given element or season. They can often be seen as a tree, a flower, a puddle of water, etc. The seasonal rym only appear during their particular season, either winter, summer, begsumer, or begwinter. Their personalities vary: some are tempting and malicious while others are helpful.

  seehirt

  Protective elemental spirits of "things" such as trees, rocks, flowers, etc.

  seela(s)

  Humanoid, intelligent creatures. They vary in appearance and personality, often seen as nurturing but can also become violent. They are around 5-6.5 feet tall. Mages are born from them. They are non-magickal and often live in kingdoms or towns and villages. They can live in most environments.

  sorcerer

  Usually seelas or weak mages who steal power (usually through the Stones of Power) and have no discipline or limits and usually cause destruction.

  sturn

  Hard, green stone often used to make arrowheads

  trul

  Semi-intelligent predator that often live in dense forests. They love music and can play and sing beautifully. They often use these talents to lure prey. They are 7-8 feet tall, hunchbacked, with gray skin, small, black eyes, and tusks jutted out of their bottom jaw. They have overlong arms which drag the ground. They also have a strong scent that most find distasteful. They can eat nearly anything.

  trulbar

  Beastly predator around 8 feet long, 7 feet tall. They have shaggy brown fur with white serrated claws and large ears protrude on either side of their heads. They have large, white horns jutting forward from their forehead, large yellow eyes, a long snout, and white teeth.

  vasily

  Intelligent creatures that often live in wide-open plains and rolling hills. They are around 5-6 feet tall with big eyes, hooved feet, hairy legs, and backward knees. They also have pointy ears and sharp claws on their fingers.

  Vorgoroth

  The dark and enchanted forest which belongs to Morgorth.

  wichtln

  Intelligent beasts which are similar to wolves in appearance. They are around 7-9 feet long (snout to tail), 5 feet tall, muscled, with large furry bodies. They prefer to live in dense forests.
