“Yeah, I think you’re right, Kade. Definitely a sweaty mess here.”

He looks at me and his eyes soften before he says, “You looked beautiful before but now, with my come running down your legs and that fresh-fucked hair, you’re absolutely stunning.” I can’t help myself, I roll my eyes at his sweet words because let’s face it, there’s no way in hell I look anything but disastrous. Seeing my look, he grabs my hand and drags me into the bathroom and in front of the mirror, standing close behind me.

“See what I see, Bridge,” he says. Lifting his hand to my hair, which has lost the style Cassarah gave it, he runs his fingers through the strands. Touching my swollen lips with his other hand, he glides it down to my chest where he palms my breast. “I see a woman who let herself go completely and, baby, that’s a fucking huge turn-on to me.” His hand continues moving down until it’s cupping me. I can see the slight abrasions his pants left against my thighs and my core clenches. “Do you see her yet, Bridge?”

I shake my head because I don’t understand what he’s trying to say to me.

“Here’s a woman, my woman, who months ago would barely look at me. Who felt she had nothing to offer to me or any man for that matter. Yet, here you stand, wrapped in my arms looking well-loved and happy.”

At his words, I feel tears well up because he’s right. I never in a million years thought I’d be where I am right now. Physical intimacy and love was something I read about, not something I ever thought I’d personally have. “Don’t cry, sweetheart. I didn’t say that to make you cry.”

Turning in his arms, I loop mine around his neck and pull him down so I can kiss him. “I love you, Kade. You’re the reason I look like this.”

  “Well-loved and tousled?”

“Yeah. No. Hell, I don’t know!” He grins at me before turning and getting the shower started.

“C’mon, baby, let’s get cleaned up.”

  Capone

Bridget is out of town this week to take her exams for her license. I wasn’t able to go with her because I’m on a deadline to file the paperwork needed for the construction company and for the gun range. I met with Axe earlier this morning and got his signature on the papers that require it. I meet with Law in front of the courthouse and we walk in together.

“Have you heard from, Bridget?” he asks me. I know he’s worried because Cassarah went with her as her model and she’s close to delivery so he seems to be walking on pins and needles while waiting for her to return. We sent Maxum and Jaxson to assist them and be there for security purposes.

“Talked to her last night,” I inform him. She’s feeling confident about how she did yesterday and was excited about today. “Why? Have you not heard from your old lady?”

“I heard from her, but am worried because she sounds like she’s a walking, talking zombie.”

“Between Jaxson, Maxum and Bridget they won’t let her overdo it. You know how protective they are of her, especially with her being pregnant.”

“I know that in my head, but I still can’t help but worry since I’m not there with her.”

“I feel ya,” I tell him. My woman may not be expecting, but I still worry when she’s not within riding distance. I can’t get to her quickly if something was to happen to her.

“I keep counting down the days until she’s back home and I can take care of her.”

“Know that feeling well, brother,” I slap him on his back as we make it through security. Once we get to our floor, I pull out the folder containing all of the documents and hand them to him. I’m basically here for anything that requires my John Hancock, but he’s our legal man, so I let him do all the talking. I look at my phone and am disappointed when I don’t have a text from Bridget. I know she’s busy, at least until five tonight, but I can’t help but want to know how she’s doing and how she’s feeling. I don’t want her to become overwhelmed, because deep in my heart I know she’s got this.

With the papers filed, we head out and ride to the clubhouse. We need to show Axe the paperwork and let him put it in his filing cabinet. I have an extra copy for myself already, so I stow it away in my saddle bags separately.

Once at the clubhouse, I see several others milling around so I go and grab a beer and sit down. “What’s going on? Why’s everyone here today?”

“It’s a slow week at the offices so everyone decided to gather here. Do you have something for me?” Axe asks with his eyebrows raised.

“Sure do,” I say, handing over the folder to him.

  “Everything go okay?” he questions.

“Went smooth as always,” Law replies.

“Good. Capone, how’s the house coming?” Twisted asks, sitting down.

“Getting there. Honestly, will be great to have more room to move around.” The guys all laugh because there’s not a whole lot of room in Bridget’s apartment and I’m not exactly a small guy. And with there being two of us living there, it’s even smaller when we’re going around each other to get ready for our day. Of course, it has led to a few quickies so I’m okay with that, too. It’s hard to pass by her with her tits rubbing all up against me and not have a reaction. I am a man after all, a man who craves his woman’s every touch. Especially when she’s wearing those tight as fuck jeans and bends over wiggling her sexy as sin ass at me, yeah, all bets are off when that occurs.

“How’s Emma handling Cassarah being gone?”

Law barks out a laugh before saying, “Thinking I’ll be dead when she gets home.”

“What? Why? What did you teach her to say now?”

His head drops and he sighs. “She overheard me saying pussy when I was talking to Cassarah on the phone. Now she’s screaming it out as she shakes her bottom.”

“You’re so fucking dead,” Smokey states. “What kind of flowers you gonna want?”

“Flowers? What the fuck are you going on about now?”

“For your grave, asshole. She’s gonna bury you.” I see Law’s eyes widen, and burst out in laughter...oh yeah, he’s a dead man walking.

“Just use that magic dick of yours that knocked her up and all should be good,” Bandit adds.

“Fuck you, man, why are you talking about my dick anyways? You are one sick motherfucker,” Law responds.

“Seems to me there are a few of those around here based on the fact that three old ladies are pregnant,” I observe.

“Your time is coming, asshole,” Hatch says to me.

“Me? Why me? Shouldn’t dumb and dumber be next? They were in a relationship before me,” I say, pointing in Smokey and Bandit’s direction.

“Dumb and dumber...kinda has a nice ring to it,” Hatch states. “The question is, which one is dumb and which one is dumber?”

“At this point, it’s all the same,” Axe mutters.

“Ouch, boss, that hurts,” Smokey says, clutching his fist over his chest. “And here I thought you liked me, what a let down.”

“If they didn’t like you, you’d have been found in a ditch by now, idiot,” I mutter under my breath. I’d probably be the one who had to do the dirty deed anyways.

“I feel the love in the room,” Bandit snickers.

“So you gonna tell your old lady about Parrot’s new trick?” I ask.

“I figure if I tell her before she gets home, maybe her wrath will have dissipated. She forgets shit a lot these days,” Law replies.

“Pregnancy brain sucks,” Hatch states. “DJ spent two hours the other day looking for her purse.”

“Where was it?” Axe asks, looking at him.

“The oven. The fucking oven that we haven’t used in months because it’s too fucking hot.” The expression on his face is priceless...and if I had my camera on me it would’ve made for some great blackmail material.

At his statement, I lose it because I can only imagine how she was running around the house looking for it, probably cursing up a storm.

“If she loses her keys, check the freezer, I mean it’s in the
same vicinity so it wouldn’t be too farfetched,” I howl out in laughter at the visual.

Then something crosses my mind and I can’t help but voice my concern. “Axe? What the fuck are we gonna do with these assholes when their women have the kids. Isn’t there a waiting period before they can have sex again or some shit?”

“Wait, what? There’s a fucking waiting period?” Smokey asks. I can see the panic in his eyes at that thought and chuckle. “Bandit? Thinking we need to talk Hannah into adoption or something.”

“We may need to invest in a lifetime supply of birth control and condoms,” Bandit adds, with a sour look on his face. Can’t say that I blame him, now that we go bare, I couldn’t image going back and using those contraptions. I see the same look on all of the faces of my brothers...yeah, I see lots of children in our futures.

“You could always get snipped,” Law says.

“What the fuck?” Bandit screeches, cupping his balls. “Ain’t no one clipping any fucking thing on me.”

“Dude! I’m not a dog! You can’t talk to a man about shit like that...I need ice, stat! My balls are aching just at the thought,” Smokey hollers. These two are so damn dramatic. It makes my chest hurt at how hard I’m laughing right now.

“Snip, snip!” Hatch hollers out and this time we all groan. That shit just ain’t right!

“I think there needs to be a change in subject, and no one give Cara any bright ideas! Ain’t no one that’s not her touching my balls!” Oh fuck! Twisted just fell out of his chair from laughing like a lunatic.

“Wha...what’s the ma...matter?” He wheezes out, “Are ya worried she’s going to make you go under the scissors?” He howls out, picking himself up off the floor.

“If this was church I’d be fining all of your asses for talking about my nuts!” Axe hollers, but I see the cringe that crosses his face. Makes me wonder if they’ve had this discussion at some point. I grab my balls just to make sure they haven’t shriveled up from this discussion, once I know everything is where it should be I relax some.

“So let’s see, Law’s gonna be murdered, three of y’all are gonna be sporting blue balls once your old ladies have the kids...what else is there to cover?” I ask.

“Hannah has been offered an art gallery show, it’s a big deal for her but I need help getting her paintings delivered,” Bandit tells us.

“Wow, that’s great. Does Bridget know?”

“Not yet, she didn’t want to distract her while she’s testing. She’s gonna tell her when she gets home.”

“Name when and we’ll all help,” Axe states. “Glad to hear she’s got this, brother.”

“Her mural at the salon gets a lot of compliments,” Law advises. He’s right, though. It perfectly captured what Cassarah was trying to convey.

“Bridget’s going to be ecstatic for her, I mean this has always been Hannah’s dream, hasn't it?”

“Yeah it has. I’m so proud of her,” Smokey says, and I can see the pride in his expression.

“Alright guys, let’s call it, I’ve got a woman at home waiting for me,” Axe states, slamming his hand on the table. We all get up and head home. I want to stop by the construction site of our new house and check on the foundation that was due to be poured today. I wave at my brothers as I pull out of the parking lot, I’ve put a rush on our home, so hopefully we’ll be in it in the next four months. Who knows though, with construction of this magnitude, you’re always taking a chance of running into one issue or another. Luckily, it’s nearing summer time and we shouldn’t have to deal with any storms that would put the build on hold.

I’m standing there in awe at what the foreman managed to accomplish already. The foundation is drying, and he’s got a team of guys currently putting together framing for the walls so that they can get ahead of things. At least, that’s what he told me before he got a phone call and walked away. Picturing the house and how it’ll look, I almost miss the ping of my phone. I pull it out and see a text from Bridget and my smile grows.

  Bridget: I PASSED!!!!!!

Me: Never doubted it for a second, sweetheart. Are y’all on the way home?

  Bridget: Yep.

  Me: Celebrate?

Bridget: Can we order take-out and celebrate in?

  Me: Absolutely. Mexican or Chinese?

  Bridget: Either works.

Me: Proud of you, baby. Love you. Be careful.

Bridget: Love you too. We will.

I wave my arm at our foreman who is still on the phone, and head toward my bike. I’ve got things to get for my woman so we can celebrate her success. I head home with a smile on my face and anticipation of her homecoming with every step I make.

  Bridget

“You feeling okay?” I ask Cassarah as we head to the car. She’s been making little moan-y type noises and I’m getting worried. I’m no stranger to pain, and those noises she’s making are not that of joy.

“Yep,” she replies as she hefts herself into the passenger seat. “Did you tell Capone?” she questions. I can’t take my eyes away from her because she’s panting a little bit and has some sweat dripping down her face.

“Yeah,” I say as I buckle up. “Appears we’re celebrating when I get home.” She grins at me and puts her hand out for a high five. “Couldn’t have done it without you, Cassarah,” I tell her.

“Bullshit. Some people have natural talent and you’re one of them.” Her praise makes my spirits fly higher than they already were.

“Think Law will be okay with your new haircut?” I ask. I nervously chew on my bottom lip, because it’s shorter than when we left, and I’m worried he’s going to be pissed.

“He wouldn’t care if I was bald. Well, maybe a little because sometimes, he likes using it to hold onto, but whatever. It’s hair and it’ll grow,” her face heats.

“TMI, woman!” I screech out, which causes her to laugh like a damn hyena.

“So now that you’re official, we’re gonna make you some business cards and work on getting you some regular clientele.” If I wasn’t behind the wheel of the car I’d be jumping up in down in glee.

“Sounds good to me.” Even I can hear the excitement in my voice.

“I don’t think that’s going to be too hard, either, especially since I’ve told my regulars that you’ll be doing them while I’m taking maternity leave.” If my jaw could touch the floor I’m sure it would, she’s sending me her clients? That’s huge!

Wait, what? Maybe I misunderstood what she just said. “Uh, are you sure I’m ready?” Double checking her statement. I don’t want to be the cause of her losing her clientele.

“Yep. Plus, you’ve already helped me with some of them.” I have, but helping and taking over are two different things.

“That makes me very nervous.” I feel the need to be honest with her here.

“Why? Lulu’ll be there and you’re good, Bridget. Really good.” She shoots a bright smile my way.

I notice she’s been making faces and rubbing her belly...again. “Are you okay?”

“Been having some small cramping for the last hour, I’ll be fine, I’m sure they’re just Braxton Hicks.” What the crap does that mean? Braxton whata’s?

“The hell are those?” I ask her.

“They’re false contractions, they’re meant to help the body get ready for birth,” she says as she starts rubbing her back.

“Are they traveling?” I mean she’s gone from rubbing her stomach to now rubbing her back.

“Nah, back’s just sore from sitting so much yesterday, I’ll be fine.” I’m worried, because there’s no way I want to be stuck delivering a baby. Uh-uh, not me, there’s no way I can visualize myself playing catcher between her legs. The thought alone makes me want to upchuck everything from my stomach.

“Do we...I mean, should we call Law?” I question.

“And have him panicking? Naw, let’s just keep driving. If it gets worse, we’ll figure out what we need to do, okay?”

  Fuck me. I decide tha
t driving faster is a good option and soon, I’m running about ten miles over the speed limit. I’m worried about cops, but I’m more concerned with delivering a baby on the side of the road. When I see Jaxson pull in front of me and motion to exit, I slow and follow him to the parking lot of a convenience store. “Oh good, I need to pee,” Cassarah says, unbuckling and getting out of the car.

“Why in the hell are you going so fast?” Jaxson asks, coming up to the driver’s side.

I don’t want to tell him and freak him out too, so I say, “Just anxious to get home is all.”

“Yeah, well, slow it down. I don’t wanna have to explain to Capone why you’ve been pulled over.” Whatever!

His pissed-off tone sets me off a bit and I forget I was keeping my mouth shut. “Really? Well I don’t wanna have to deliver a baby on the side of the fucking road!” When I see his face, I realize that my filter apparently fell off and I try to backpedal. “I mean, not that she’s in labor or anything…” I stammer out, but it’s too late. He’s grabbed his phone and walked away from me and I know, just know, he’s calling either Kade or Law. Fuck!

These guys are big ole’ tattle tales, they can’t keep anything to their damn selves.

“What’s Jaxson doing?” Cassarah asks as she gets back in the car, two giant drinks in her hands and a bag under her arm.

“Probably calling Law,” I mutter before taking a sip of my drink. “Thanks for this, by the way.” I was parched and this has hit the spot.

“Why’s he calling Elijah?” she questions, getting buckled.

“Because Mr. ‘Bossy-Pants’ came over and asked why I was driving so fast and pissed me off and I screwed up and said something along the lines of not wanting to deliver a baby on the side of the road,” I admit.
