MANFAX (Winters Brothers Book 2) Page 16

by Jacob Chance

  “Has he always been so…”

“Full of life? Mischievous? Hilarious? Yes. You can insert any one of these.” Bonnie laughs.

“I imagine he was pretty rambunctious as a child,” I say.

“You’re not kidding. He was full of energy and into everything. His poor mother had her hands full with all those boys.”

“She must be a saint,” I reply.

“She’s great. So, how did you two meet?”

“His brother, Rex, is marrying my best friend.”

“I thought Rex might remain a bachelor forever. I’m glad he found someone,” Bonnie says.

  I nod. “They’re ridiculously happy.”

“His daughter, Ruby, is a great kid. Adam’s brought her to the home with him, and she’s fantastic with the residents, very patient and kind.”

My eyes land on my date, observing as he playfully ruffles Randy’s hair. “I know he adores her.”

“In all the time I’ve known Adam, I’ve never met a single female ‘friend’ of his. He must really like you.”

“I don’t know about that. Maybe he just likes the chase,” I offer, nonchalantly shrugging. Or at least I hope I’m coming off that way. But indifference is the last thing I’m feeling.

“No man looks at a woman like he looks at you unless they’re crazy about them,” she tells me.

“Yeah?” My eyes return to him, and my body hums with awareness. He struts up to release the ball, all cocky and silly at the same time, then rolls a perfect strike.

Is there anything he can’t do well?

“And from the look on your face, I’d say you’re crazy about him too. Am I right?” Bonnie asks.

“I am.” I sigh with resignation. As much as I’ve tried to resist Adam, it’s been an impossible feat.

“Do you have some concerns about him?”

“I’m worried that he’ll miss the variety of women he’s used to. Being with only me might not be sustainable for him.”

“There are no guarantees in any relationship that something won’t go wrong. At some point, you just need to have faith it’ll work out and take the leap.”

“I’ve tried that in the past, and it didn’t work out well for me,” I confess. I don’t usually share personal details with someone I just met, but Bonnie gives off a trustworthy and comforting vibe. And since I’m looking for reassurance about Adam, and he’s been friends with her forever, who better to ask?

“Does Adam remind you of an ex-boyfriend of yours and that’s why you have concerns?” she questions.

I shake my head. “Not his personality or the way he acts, but my ex cheated on me. Which makes Adam’s history with women concerning for me. I don’t want to go through the pain of infidelity again.”

Bonnie gestures toward Adam. “He’s single and attractive with a time-consuming business. I don’t think he’s unique or special in how he’s avoided attachment until now.”

I turn to her. “Until now?”

She nods. “It’s obvious he’s no longer avoiding a relationship. You’re here, and that speaks volumes about how he feels about you.”

“You really think so?” I ask, hating how hopeful I sound. I can’t ignore the nagging voice in the back of my head reminding me it’s weak to lean on a man. That all I can depend on is me, like my mother found out the hard way when my father left.

How strong can I truly be if I open my heart to him and allow myself to be vulnerable?

How long until I become dependent on him?

And then how long until he breaks my heart?

Bonnie touches my arm, dragging me from my negative thoughts. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” My smile is weak. “I was spiraling downward into the ‘what if’ black hole for a minute there. Thanks for snapping me out of my dark thoughts.”

“You’ve heard the saying one day at a time?” I nod. “I say those words when I get ahead of myself. It’s easy to be overwhelmed with the ‘what ifs’ of this world that we can’t control. When I start to get overloaded with negative thoughts, I remind myself that if I’m happy today, the rest doesn’t matter. By focusing on making the most of each day, I’m being proactive and ensuring that I’m living a satisfying life.”

“That makes a lot of sense.” I pause, her words marinating in my mind. Would I be more confident moving forward in a relationship with Adam if I took it one day at a time? There’s only one way to find out.

“Hey, Rocky. Get your fine ass over here,” Adam shouts.

Rising, I glance at Bonnie and offer an apologetic smile. “I’m being summoned. It’s been great talking with you.”

“I’m sure we’ll be seeing plenty of each other.” Bonnie winks.

“I hope so.” I walk toward Adam, my stomach somersaulting with every step. After speaking with Bonnie, my feelings for him feel validated and less intimidating. Maybe we can make this work. My lips spread into a wide smile as I stop in front of him.

He tugs me forward and encloses me in his arms. “Are you having fun?”

  “I am. Bonnie’s great.”

“I knew she’d love you,” he states confidently.

“How do you know she does?”

“I can tell. Also, she gave me a thumbs up when you were walking over.” He laughs.

I’m thrilled she gave her approval. I can tell she’s important to Adam.

“Want to play a game with me?” He tips his head toward the lane.

“Where’s Randy? Aren’t you guys playing?”

“He ditched me to play with Jimmy, one of the other residents. What’s the matter, Rocky? Are you chicken?”

I roll my eyes. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”

“Oh, you’ll see everything I’ve got when I get you back home.”

“Is that a promise?” I taunt.

He leans down, growling against my neck, “It’s a goddamn warning.”

Oh, damn. I wish we were already at my place so he could do something about the incessant ache between my thighs. His tongue slicks along his bottom lip, as if he’s thinking about how he’s going to make it go away, and my knees go weak.

“Come on.” He grips my arm. We whiz by Bonnie with a fleeting wave, and before I know it we’re in his truck. The drive passes in a blur, the truck cab cloaked in a thick fog of sexual tension. I’m so turned on I can barely think straight. I don’t know how Adam gets us back to my place safely.

Once the front door closes behind us, all bets are off. Adam’s hands clutch and angle my head as his mouth slams down on mine. His chest drives my back into the wooden door, and I’m thankful for its stability. Every inch of me feels weak and needy for his touch.

Continuing to wreck me with his lips and tongue, his fingers pluck the button on my shorts free and whisk the zipper down. The metallic sound of the teeth parting sends an electrifying jolt down my spine. Goose bumps erupt on my skin, the fine hairs standing on end.

I’m aflame, my senses heightened like never before. The fresh pine scent of his cologne wraps around me like his thick arms that are holding me close.

His dark hair tangled in my grip is soft, and I revel in the thick texture between my fingers. His teeth roughly nip my neck, eliciting a gasp that sounds hoarse to my own ears.

Our mouths clash together, savage tongues exploring, while our groans reverberate through one another.

Breathless, I’m drowning in a sea of Adam, and I never want to resurface.

He pushes my shorts to the floor, and I step free, kicking off my heeled sandals. Releasing my lips, he straightens to his full height. His heated gaze is a fiery blaze traveling down my frame. “Jesus. You’re so fucking perfect.” Chest heaving, he shakes his head. “I don’t know what I want to do with you first.”

I drag my shirt over my head, tossing it to the floor. Leaning back against the door in my matching red thong and bra, I raise my chin and offer myself to him. “You can do anything you want.”

His reply is a rumbling sound erupting from
his chest, like a geyser bursting forth with great force. Sweeping me from my feet, he carries me over to my armless leather loveseat, setting me down.

He drags his shirt over his head. I watch his muscles flex and ripple under his skin. Hands resting on my thighs, I’m on edge waiting for what he’ll do next.

Lowering his jeans, he shucks them, along with his socks.

Standing in his black boxer briefs, his physique bulging with tense, corded muscles, he looks like a warrior from long ago, ready to capture and conquer his next prize. And I’m the lucky fucking prize.

“You’re gorgeous.” There’s awe in my tone as he removes his last article of clothing, revealing the impressive Adonis belt framing his unforgettable cock.

“I’m glad you think so. Now get on your knees,” he commands.

Rolling over, I rest my arms on the curved back of the loveseat. The leather is cold under my nipples as I peer over my shoulder. He drops to his knees. Oh my God. Quivering, longing for the first swipe of his tongue, I’m soaking wet.

Clutching both sides of my thong, he slowly drags the scrap of material down my hips before his hot, open mouth settles on my pussy. My head drops down to my arms, and I surrender to the rapture of his tongue between my thighs. A maelstrom of emotions batters my chest.

Is this what love feels like?

If it is, I’ve never been in love before. New and overpowering, these feelings are blissful and scary at the same time.

Adam’s hand slips around my hip and slides down my mound. Slicking my juices over my clit with the pad of his finger, he draws slow, gentle circles. Bucking my hips, I signal for more pressure. He chuckles against my pussy, his tongue teasing my opening. His fingers bear down harder, and his pace quickens, matching the movements of my hips. His other hand slips between my ass cheeks, his thumb pressing on the tight hole. The combination of all three areas being stimulated is too much for me to take, and I unravel raggedly. Shuddering and quaking through my release, I lose all control of my body. I feel like I’ve splintered into hundreds of pieces and will need to be reassembled.

Adam thrusts inside me for the first time, and it’s everything I’ve been waiting for and more.

  He’s just what I need.

His cock is just what I need.

The closeness we’re sharing is annihilating me further and then piecing me back together.

Every doubt I’ve had about him flees as I revel in the rightness of our lovemaking. Each stroke is a reminder that love like this should be grasped on to and never let go.

His hands slip under the leather cushioning my nipples, cupping and squeezing my breasts. “Fuck.” He grunts. “Your tits are amazing.” The calluses on his palms rasp against my taut peaks. “I want to fuck them soon.”

“Yes,” I agree. I’ll let him do anything he wants to.

His hands slide down my ribs, gripping my hips as his strokes get faster. Ramming into me over and over, his cock creates pleasure so exquisite, it borders on pain. Uncontrollable moans and gasps fly from my lips.

“Oh, Christ.” He groans, thrusting inside me a few more times. His grip on my hips flexes, then becomes painfully tight as pleasure overtakes him. I feel him jerk and tremble through his orgasm.

Settling his chest to my back, he places a gentle kiss on my neck. His ragged breaths fan over my skin while his palms soothingly rub over my hips. I’m sure I’ll have bruises on my skin tomorrow to help me remember this night. As if I could forget.

He slips from me, moving to recline on his side, and pulls me into his arms. Our chests pressed together, I feel his accelerated heartbeat. My legs tangle with his, the soles of my feet grazing his hairy calves. I feel more content than I ever have. I wish we could freeze this moment in time.

Adam tips my chin upward with a finger, his green eyes soulfully staring into mine. “You’re incredible. That was indescribable.”

  “I agree.”

“You agree that you’re incredible?” he teases.

“Ha ha. No, I agree that there are no words for what just transpired between us.”

“I feel like I’ve done things backward, by making love to you first, but I’m hoping this means you like me enough to be my girlfriend?”

I want to shout out all the yeses I can, but that nagging voice inside me still wants to be heard—no, it needs to be heard. “Are you sure that’s what you want?”

Rolling me to my back, he looms over me, a scowl marring his handsome visage. “How can you ask me that after what we just shared?”

“I’m sorry. I want to make sure that’s what you really want and that you’re not feeling pressured because we took things to the next level.”

His eyes narrow. “The next level?” he growls. “We blew through just about all the fucking levels. The only reason I’m not professing my feelings for you right now is because I don’t want to scare you off.”

“Who says it would scare me off?” I ask. Maybe hearing how he’s feeling will reassure me. At least if we’re both falling we’re in the same boat.

“Roxanne,” he husks my full name, and I know he’s serious. “I’d like to tell you I’m falling in love with you, but I can’t.” Wait. What? “I can’t say that because it’s inaccurate.”

“Oh, okay.” I maintain my composure despite the sting of tears.

“You didn’t let me finish, Rocky.” He grins. “I can’t say I’m falling in love with you because that’s an understatement of what’s happening.” He cups my face, holding me still. “I’m fucking nose diving into love with you. I’m plummeting headfirst with no end in sight into love with you, and there’s no place I’d rather be.”

My chest tightens, impossibly full with the love I’m experiencing. Tears well in my eyes before painting wet trails down my cheeks. “I’m nose diving into love with you too.” I sob and laugh at the same time and end up sounding like a seal. We both snigger, removing some of the weightiness from the moment.

“I didn’t just imagine what you said, did I?” he asks. “Tell me you meant every word.” The vulnerability in his words and his expression surprises me. He’s so confident about most things, I never imagined him having concerns similar to mine.

Reaching up, I run my fingertips between his brows, smoothing the lines of doubt away. “I meant every word I said. You finally captured my heart, Adam Winters. Just don’t let it go.”

  “Never,” he promises.

I want to believe him more than anything.

  Adam

Lying next to Roxanne, the outside of her thigh touching mine, and breathing in the scent of her shampoo, it’s impossible to ignore my morning wood. After last night’s second round in the shower, I figured I’d sleep in some, but my dick has other ideas. He’s always had a mind of his own. In the past, he’s led me astray, and I’ve followed when I shouldn’t have. But this time, his taste is impeccable. And my heart is in agreement one hundred fucking percent.

Rolling to my side, I prop my head on my fist, trailing the fingertips of my other hand over and around her nipples.

Roxanne sighs in her sleep, and I smile. Slipping between her parted thighs, I back down toward the foot of the bed, trailing my mouth down her skin as I go. Sliding along her lower stomach, I stop to press a soft kiss on her clit. She stirs, but doesn’t wake. She’s a sound sleeper. I’m like a scientist conducting an experiment—how much attention can I pay to her clit before she’ll wake up?

I have a theory that she’ll wake before she comes, but I’ll have to wait and see if the actual data backs it up. Glancing up, I check once more, making sure she’s asleep.

  She is.

I start with a quick swipe with the tip of my tongue, and when she doesn’t move, I repeat the motion.

  Still sleeping.

It’s time to take this up a notch. Closing my lips around the swollen flesh, I draw it into my mouth, gently sucking and pulling with my tongue and lips.

  She moans.

  Increasing the
suction, I whisk my tongue back and forth.

She moans again, rocking her hips while I grind my cock against the bedsheet. My plan is quickly backfiring on me, but my plan B is pretty fucking phenomenal too.

Moving up, I kneel between her thighs and drag the pre-come soaked tip of my cock along her wet slit. Oh, Jesus. Unable to wait any longer, I thrust inside her with one long stroke. Her eyes snap open only to close again on a pleasure-filled moan.

“Good morning.” Lowering down over her, I brace my weight on one forearm. Slowly rocking my hips, moving in and out of her wet pussy, I take my time.

Her eyelids lazily open, and she smiles up at me. “Mmm, what a way to wake up.” She wraps her long legs around my hips while my other hand skates down to caress one of her thighs. Her skin is so soft. Soft enough to rival what the lips on her pussy feel like against my tongue.

I make slow, leisurely love to my girlfriend—the woman I’ve already claimed as my own. She may not realize where this relationship is headed, but that’s a conversation for a different day. Right now, I’m settling for the honor of waking up beside her and having her beneath me while I bring us both to the brink and then we free fall into ecstasy together.

“Why are you so happy this morning?” Rex questions.

“I’m always in a good mood.”

“Yeah, but you’re obnoxiously happy today. Did you get laid last night?”

“Nope. I made love for the first time,” I reply.

Rex laughs. “Sure. What have you been smoking this morning? I think I understand your great mood.”

“Bro, I’m trying to be serious here and have a bonding, brotherly moment. Stop ruining it for me.”

“Okay.” He looks confused, then it changes to concern. “You’re acting weird. Even weirder than you usually do. Are you about to tell me you’re dying or something?”

I bark out a single laugh and then a string of them slip free. “You’re fucking hilarious, bro. And I love you too.”

“I don’t remember saying I love you,” Rex corrects me.
