  PTER ONE

  CreatiOns Of angels

I began in the void, the first speck of knowledge that I am. I feel awake, aware and can feel as I rub my hands down my face and body. I drift in a sea of endless possibilities, lights, sounds, frequencies, energies all drift past me. I reach out and find my hand passing through a web of multi coloured strands of light shimmering through my fingers. It is pretty and I feel the knowledge in it, I absorb it. I now know my name. I am Lillith.

More and more I reach for the energies and lights that are around me, pulling greedily at them, like a child with sweets. Gorging on them, and laughing wildly as the knowledge pours from them to me. I can feel myself growing and being shaped by this. I feel intoxicated with the rush of power in my body. All the pleasures of the mind and body I have experienced since cannot compare with that first taste of power.

Time passes. I drift on, never sated but being pulled most reluctantly away into sleep.

When I awake I am clothed in a glowing white body suit that leaves the hands and feet bare, I know how to move, walk and run, I am in a bright white hall with grey crystal gravel beneath my feet. There is fighting going on, a disharmony of weapons, cries of pain and bright flashes of blood in the harsh white light.

I get to my feet knowing that I must fear my own kind above all others. I watch as a huge dark haired male use a great glowing blade to slice through another from neck to hip, blood drenching his white body suit then clearing as it was some how absorbed. As I watch he drew out the Essence of the other male, in a blue and red light show, leaving a dried husk behind. He then grinned and came towards me, waving his bloody weapon. I needed one of those fast; as I thought it one was in my hand. It was mine, part of me; it felt good in my hand, it was a warm green/ blue sword, like an extension of my arm.

I took the first blow on the part of the weapon near the hilt. It shook my shoulder but not as much as I thought it might. I let instinct take over and moved to the side of him very fast. I surprised him and his weapon was left too high for a split second too long and I sliced him in two at the kidneys. I then drank his Life Essence.

I am not human, that much is very clear, but as I have human form (or rather humans took my form) it is very easy to forget. Though female, I am just as strong as many of the males of my kind and a lot faster than most. I also have that indescribable power of attraction or sex appeal like a snake, I draw beings to me. It certainly is one of my strengths but is has not been an easy one to learn to wield. I invoke in all around me a sense of fascination, lust to some, and adoration to others. I can turn it down but never quite turn it off. It is part of me just as my flame red hair that marks me in every crowd and my peacock blue/green eyes that if I lose concentration have no whites.

I needed to feed from living beings for their Life Essence, it is like becoming one with chocolate or whatever is your drug of choice. You feel the chocolate in every part of your being, coating every nerve and pleasure area with wild sensual arousal, leaving you feeling more alive than you ever thought possible.

I once fed of the Earth Herself and the rush was the most intense I have ever felt and the temptation to do it again will always be there, but I am getting ahead of myself.

I was a primitive child feasting on my first kill. There were many others, and after each one I gained in strength and knowledge, absorbing what they were and had acquired, leaving drained husks that disintegrated into dust. It grew harder as time passed, the survivors were like me, stronger and faster than the rest. Then I ran into a magic wielder.

She moved the gravel around us and at me as we fought, and used skills that burnt me with a bright flame and cut me without using her weapon; I was fighting illusions and strange lights and sounds. I had to adapt or die. I reached down within myself and I found my magic, like her I found fire first and then how to shield and shape energies with my mind. It flowed and flashed from the centre of my being and it was beautiful, blue and green energy flowed from me and struck her hard. I hurt her and she backed off and lowered her weapon. We were evenly matched and agreed on a truce.

“Ariel” She said, shaking her long yellow hair out of her eyes. “Lillith” I replied. She nodded and backed away.

Lessons grew harder in that classroom of survival. Intelligence was overcoming brute force, by combination. If there were two or more fighting together they could overcome the larger more deadly larger single types. But even then the fighting was fierce. I was wounded but with the next kill was able to heal myself totally, using the Life Essence to repair without a trace. Under these circumstances, a very useful skill.

Then fate jumped in. I met Him.

  PTER TWO

  luCian

There are so many stories about him, and I have to admit I am responsible for most of them. He was my first lover and first rapist, my saviour and my destroyer. We have shaped and reshaped each other for well over forty thousand human years. I have been at war with Him for most of human history and after he cast me into to Hell for three thousand years I made humans hate and fear him, they call him Satan and Lucifer, Lord of Lies. Not a very nice thing to do, but I was really angry at him.

Nowadays we have a truce and we are trying to make our marriage work. Like most marriages we have our good days and our indifferent days, but again, I am getting ahead of myself.

I got caught up in a huge battle for survival and was fighting to stay alive and on my feet. It was bloody and the flow of Life Essence was intoxicating, making it hard to focus. I learnt how to feed and fight at the same time. To fall was to die and it was slippery and gory underfoot.

I fell backwards and thought all was over. He caught me, pulled me up to my feet again and grinned. Time paused for us then, it was one of those moments that the movies are so good at. With the right background music and lighting, magic is created in a moment.

  He was Lucian.

He is about hand span taller than me and a lot more muscles all over, long legs and a beautiful rounded ass. With the eyes and grin of a sexy movies star it made you want to hit him, or something, but his eyes are a light sky blue with a glint of innocence about them, this is an illusion, there is nothing innocent about him.

He has many limitations and weaknesses but hides them well and can and has been a total bastard with a nasty cold temper, but he is working on this. Lucian has a magnetic draw to him, which made beings leap to follow him and do his bidding; he commands any room that he is in, in a lazy off hand manner and was and is a natural leader in the true sense of the word.

Unruly loose golden curls that fall carelessly to his shoulders complete a definite bedroom look and an annoyingly indolent way about him that says ‘If you want it here it is, but you had better hurry up because my interest is fading fast.’

  We have had su

ch a history and so much time has passed since that first look, it is hard to remember how it was in the beginning and not see a dishonourable, murdering bastard that I have been to war with on quite a few occasions, tried
to kill many times and married in Rome in the 15th Century after a glorious game of Relationships.

We broke up and he burnt out my eyes, and only recently has a harmony of sorts been built. Then we were both so young.

We fought side by side instinctively knowing each others style of cut and parry. He was faster and stronger than I, and all magic was deflected away from him, he somehow nullified all magic aimed at him – a useful trick, but very irritating when you are trying to kill him.

He fell and I gave him the space and defended him until he found his feet again, and he did the same for me. I could mirror his actions and out of that first bloodbath I could anticipate his next move fairly well.

I learnt so much from him on the field of battle, for he was an excellent warrior right from the start, his sword was a deep blue almost black and he wields it with more skill than anyone I have ever met, it leaves an inky black trail behind it as he brandishes it. It was like a dance where each knew the others steps instinctively and such a harmony was created that we are almost untouchable in battle when we stand side by side.

That harmony was also found when we make love but we had to wait a while for that.

The survivors of that battle were few and all were glowing with the huge amounts of Life Essence that had been consumed. We all backed away from each other, naturally calling it a day. It was the biggest meal I had ever eaten and I wanted to sleep now.

Lucian and I found a corner that was away from the remains of the battle and he motioned that I could rest first and he would watch and wake me if anyone attacked. Trust is an interesting but often deadly lesson, trusting my own instinct that I could rest, I did. Then later I taught him the same lesson and caught that grin again.

While he slept two other males came close and I motioned warning. They crouched down and placed their weapons on the ground before them and waited until Lucian awoke.

When he awoke he assessed the situation and said “Lucian.” “Raphael” Said the fairer of the two, he was beautiful with sculptured muscles all over and pale gold glowing skin.

  “Michael” Said the other.

Both were tall and well built with an air of serious intent of survival. I stood and watched as others also were waking up and taking notice of what was going on. Alliances were being formed all over the place; it made sense to have more than just two in the group.

I looked at Raphael and Michael and introduced myself. They nodded and we had an Alliance.

The area that we were in was not a natural one, though I didn’t know that at the time. There were many large coloured crystal structures and underfoot was smooth and glassy in some places and patches of tiny crystal gravel in others.

It was about the size of a football pitch with smooth walls that had about a dozen corners all of different angles. The large crystals that went up to the ceiling were mainly white and rose with purple and pale greens showing here and they were the light sources, the walls also glowed slightly which made the place slightly dim with lots of deceiving shadows, it was beautiful in a minimalist sort of way.

There were about two hundred of us left standing and we could feel the anticipation build as the final battle for survival approached; there was nowhere to run or hide, if you wanted to survive, this battle had to be faced. For those of you who love descriptions of blood, battles, and bravery and stupidity there are many more to come. I, who have the memories of the pain, cries for mercy and the bits of body parts glistening in the available light, do not.

So picture a field of battle with about two hundred beings of various sizes and colours, all with swords, staffs or knives of various lengths and sizes, many had magic and some could shape change into huge creatures, many fought alone but the smarter ones fought in small groups, this was going to be very messy.

It started with six huge beings charging each other and then it became an all out war. The four of us fought side by side and defended each other with our lives and blood.

Each of us four honouring the Alliance we had made. Raphael and Michael proving loyal and honourable companions. We saw quite a few Alliances turn on each other and slaughter one another.

Battle brings out the best and the worst of everyone, and this was no exception. I was wounded many times, as was each member of my Alliance but we stood our ground and defended the wounded member until we could recover, sometimes passing the killing strike to the wounded one so they could feed and return to strength.

Raphael and Michael fought well beside us; we fought all together like we were born to it. Lucian and I had chosen well with our allies. Or been very lucky, depending on your point of view.

There was nineteen standing at the end, so do the maths. With odds like that, it brings a whole new meaning to survival. The ground was thick with the dried husks of drained bodies that disintegrated into dust. I felt bloated on the power and energies of those I had killed and consumed. I also felt sick from the waste of it all. I turned away and walked as far away as I could get. I dropped my weapon and curled up like a child who doesn’t want to play any more.

I have often been accused of being too sensitive for my kind, life is sacred and this sort of battle disgusted me. There seemed no reason for all this carnage.

Lucian followed and picked up my discarded weapon, the other two also sat down with me. I slept, letting the others watch over me. I balanced the stolen energies within while I slept and woke feeling strong and ready to face whatever came next, or so I thought.

  PTER THREE

  unity Of sOrts

There was a silver haired female waiting to talk to me; she had four large males behind her that were making Lucian, Raphael and Michael nervous. Though they were not showing it openly, I knew all of them so well now I could feel their emotions.

Lucian put his hand on mine and I looked up into his eyes, he was worried and wanted me to be careful. I touched his face, tracing his hairline from forehead to ear lightly with two soft fingers, continuing across the cheek bone and round his jaw, and brushed gently across his lips.

He lost that worried look and got that intense focus as things tightened in his body. I smiled deep into that look and enticed him, most females of most races can do this with some practice, to me it was part of my defences and it came naturally. My first snare that I have been trying to undo for aeons, well, maybe not, he is very useful…… sometimes.

The silver haired female introduced herself as Gabriel; she was smart and thought fast. She had no magic but her intelligence was awesome as was her sword craft and she wielded both like an expert, she assessed me with a glance and said “No more war.” That got my full attention. “One Alliance, stand together.” This also was a new concept, as there were a few of the survivors that I would not stand with. I was unwilling to agree to this.

I had watched a few of those left standing butcher some of their own Alliance members and found this contemptible and would not join with them. I have always had a strong sense of what is right and wrong.

“Please try?” she asked again. “No more war.” She repeated. I looked at Lucian and he nodded, as did the others. Gabriel extended her hand to me. I looked at it and blinked and then I understood, or thought I did.

Combining her group with ours makes nine, the largest alliance of all left standing; we would enforce the No War policy. She always impressed me with her intelligence. But she had quite a trick up her sleeve.

I took her hand in mine and her Life Essence rose up to meet mine, we both felt the force of each other and I was shadowed by her blaze of power. I showed respect. If we had met in a ‘one on one’ fight, I would have lost. I would follow her lead, at this time…… as long as it suited me.

She shook hands with Lucian and it was she who showed respect and acknowledged his power. He blazed brighter than she. Lucian grinned and shook his head, and backed off to stand by me. He did not want to lead at this time. She clasped the hands of Raphael and Michael they also back away from her power, acknowledg
ing her leadership. I met her group and they were Raziel, Baruel, Cael, and Uriel. Ariel had also survived.

Gabriel was persuasive and apart for a small demonstration and a big darkhaired male named Metatron now had an open wound down the side of his face that she had given him. I did the same again to him about thirty thousand years later and cut his hand off, but he was trying to seriously kill me at the time.

Gabriel had achieved her goal; the many Alliances were now One and all had agreed to a No Killing Policy.

Metatron was going to be trouble in a lot of ways. He had a group of three females and another male, one of his females who had long orange hair, with orange eyes to match. She came up to me and pushed against my shoulder, her name was Raguel. There was some posturing and the usual scuffles before a fight, then she attacked me with her sword, it was a short fight.

Gabriel and Lucian stopped me cutting her head off. Pity, really, she would have looked so much more attractive without it.

Gabriel appealed to my common sense and the new policy so I dropt my sword and I hit Raguel backhanded with a clenched fist aimed directly at her nose and cheek, backing it up with a swirl of peacock blue/green magic, getting a wonderful spray of bright red blood and leaving her on the ground bleeding and moaning. It was very satisfying.

After this we had a peace, of sorts. Until our Creators Arrived.

  PTER FOUR

  My CreatOrs

In this and many other Universes that I have travelled in there are a few things that really make me feel fear like my Creators do. They have a huge aura of pain and terror around them. In their presence, you feel nervous and agitated. You doubt yourself and make stupid mistakes, this I know was deliberate, and I have since found many spells that do the same.

They entered quietly from a gap that opened in the smooth white glass walls. These beings of deadly power were tall, thin and white. That was the first impression but then you tried to see detail, and there really wasn’t any. They all had the same familiar features of two large dark eyes, one small faint nose and even smaller mouth, two arms and legs as we did, and they did have small differences that made one different from the next but it looked like one being. It’s like their Creator ran out of imagination and made them all out of the same mould.
