  Grimaldi cocked his head, looking perplexed. “Huh?”

  Han pointed to his missing left arm. “Am I not, as you say, a one-armed bandit?”

  Grimaldi’s mouth dropped open but no sound came out.

  “You’re more like a one-armed swordsman,” Bolan said. “The one you told me about. And I owe you a debt of thanks.” He turned and pointed at Grimaldi. “This is the first time I’ve ever seen him speechless.”

  Han held out his right hand. “Thank you again, for everything.”

  Bolan shook hands with Han. “Zhu ni haoyun.”

  Han smiled. “Your Mandarin is improving. Good luck to you, as well. I will never forget you.”

  Han and Grimaldi shook hands again, and Yang gave Han a quick hug. After they’d boarded the boat they looked back at the dock, but Han had vanished into the night.
