My Rock Forever Page 11

“Shana, what’re the colors for the ladies’ clothing? I want to make sure our suits match your dresses.”

“Tell your men to wear black suits lined with silver and with neon blue ties.”

“Where is the giant picture frame with our baby in it?” I asked Jay as I finished putting in my last earring.

“I already had Joey and Jessie wrap and set it up on the stage in the main dining tent area.”

Grabbing the gifts, I had wrapped for Jay’s family, we headed outside to the magical Christmas party. The scene that met my eyes warmed me to the core and put an enormous smile on my face as tears fell down my cheeks. There standing lined up in the grove of recently decorated trees were all the children. Dressed in little mini suits and dresses that matched their parents.

“Everybody, before we get this party started, I have something major to discuss with you. First, I would like to introduce you properly, to my mate, and your future Luna, Shana Jenson. We owe today’s event to her. She wanted to do something for the children to once again give them hope and a sense of normalcy. That’s my last word now, let’s, eat and party one more thing, Merry Christmas to all.” Jay led me up over to the table where his parents were sitting with an elderly couple. The Old lady got up and came in front of me and wrapped me in her arms, giving me a hug and kiss on the cheek.

“Dear, I’m Jay’s granny. I wanted to welcome you properly into the pack and our family. What you did today for the kids was a major blessing and kind of you to do,” Jay’s granny told me. As I felt a tug on my dress, I snuck a peek down and saw the most beautiful little girl. Tan complexion, light brown hair braid in cornrows halfway back, the back of her hair pulled up in a ponytail as beads flowed down her back. Her little neon blue dress trimmed in lace and matching shoes made her look like a fairy.

Kneeling, I said, “Hi, sweetheart. What’s your name?”

“My name” is Ciara, the girl whispered.

“Ciara, it is a pleasure to meet you. What can I help you with?” I asked when she gave me a hug.

“Luna, I wanted to say thank you for setting up this Christmas dinner for us.”

“Well, the night isn’t over yet. There are still a few more surprises left,” I told her with an enormous grin on my face.

Screaming with glee, the little girl started jumping up and down as she ran off to join the other kids. Turning back around, I saw Jay sitting with his family, taking it upon myself to pass out the little gifts I had for his parents. Glancing at his parents, I smiled, making my way over to them with a loving smile on my face. The love I felt in the atmosphere was encouraging as it surrounded me, and it made me feel like I belonged.

When I cleared my throat, alerting them to my presence. Jay’s mother looked up at me. Walking over to her, grinning with my hands behind my back, holding on to the gifts. I said, “Merry Christmas everyone, I have something for you guys,” as I started passing out the presents.

“Shana, you didn’t have to get us anything,” his father said as he held out his hand for the gift.

“Well, ok then, Jackson, I can always take them back,” I told him as I tried to take it back.

He jerked his hand back so fast with the gift saying, “nope, you don’t get to be an Indian- giver. Besides, I never said I wouldn’t take it. It’s mine now, so leave it alone,” he said. Smiling with a twinkle in his eyes.

“Open them all together” I told everyone with a huge smile on my face. As I handed the rest of the gifts to them, I turned to Jay’s grandparents silently “I’m sorry I got nothing for you. He didn’t tell me about you.”

“That’s ok, my dear; Just knowing you’re going to take care of Jay is a gift enough, my dear,” she said.

All you could hear was the rattling and scraping of forks against the dinner plates and the rustling of Christmas paper as the sweet sound of Silent night played in the background. Jay’s mother was the first to glance up quickly at me with a lonely tear falling down her cheek and a smile that showed all her white teeth. “Is this true?” she asked

Going over to Jay’s chair, I stood behind him with one hand on his shoulder and the other on the back of his chair. As I bent down and kissed his cheek, I stared at her and nodded, “yes, it is.”

“Now it’s time for us to find Santa Claus for the kids. River, Destiny, why don’t you grab the other kids and bring them in front of the tree? A surprise visitor is coming,” I whispered to them.

Jay’s younger siblings ran off to gather the other children, while Jay’s father snuck off to one of the other tents to become Santa Claus for all the little kids. The sound of a thousand feet filled the room in time to see a bunch of sugary hyper children bouncing up and down on their feet. All you could hear was the children screaming.

With an ear-piercing whistle, I finally got the kids to quiet down. “Ok, kids, if you want to see the visitor that has come all the way here just to see all you. Then you must be incredibly quiet, so you don’t scare him away,” I said as I yelled, “Jay let him in.”

Anxiously the kids peered around the room impatiently, trying to find out who the mysterious visitor was. The creaking sound of the door opening made the children grow quiet. Eyes grew wide as saucers landing on a table. Their faces lit up as the man dressed in red and white approached them.

Excitement popped and fizzled all around these children when he spoke up, “do you guys know who I am?”

A loud-sounding “yes” surfaced from all the children.

“Then tell me, who am I?”

  “You’re Santa Claus!!”

“Tell me what Santa brings to all the children?”

  “Toys they all shouted.”

“You sure about that? I thought it was veggies.” He said in a confused tone.

“NO!!” The children yelled even louder.

“Now I need help to pass out all these gifts. Who will that be?”

All the hands shot up like waves in the ocean. His eyes landed on the little boy sitting off by himself. As they passed out the gifts, Jessie Jay’s beta went up on the stage to get everybody’s attention. “Now you have noticed things have changed around here with the Alpha finding his Luna and she bringing in some new traditions.”

“This traditionally would be their place to reveal what they want to share with you. But today, this is my pleasure to give you their gift for everyone in the pack. So, I’m going to ask my children Lily and Sammy to come up here when I tell you to pull that cord open the curtain and the other children you come up and help them unwrap this gift.”

“One the count of three, all of you unwrap that gift. 1, 2, 3,” Jessie said. As the children stampeded like a herd of cattle going for water. In a matter of seconds, they had ripped the Christmas paper off the gift. The Thunder of clapping sounded through the room as the children stepped back to reveal the billboard-sized ultrasound.

“Now grownups, get your kids off to bed, and you can have the rest of the night to party amongst yourselves.”

Standing up to leave for the night. I got trampled by a bunch of clingy little children, all crying and laughing as they said, “Merry Christmas and good night.”

  Epilogue

  6 months later

The door creaks open slowly as my mate peaks his head around the corner, I guess Jay is still kind of scared at what might get thrown his way again. You’re probably sitting there wondering why Jay is walking on eggshells. It’s really very simple, my overbearing and protective ass of a mate. Has had me confined in his room for the last 6 months, all because I carry his child. Yes, I know men are supposed to be protective over their offspring. But damn can’t a mother get some space. This man has been, so close to me I can’t ever shower without him sitting right there watching me.

If I didn’t know any better, I would swear Jay only cared about this child, then again at night when I am so stiff and sore from this heavy burden, I carry inside my body for him. He will sit there and rub my feet for me. Who can ask for more? One second thou
ght I was about to ask his highness for more. Just watch me! My stomach has been rolling all day from the false labor pains I have been getting lately.

Jay’s family has been in to see me on more than one occasion, after the long talk I had with his mother I can understand now why he is so overbearing. According to local legend there has never been a live child born to a royal pureblood vampire and werewolf. Right now, I am a double liability to the pack since I cannot protect them let alone myself. As the only living biological daughter of Count Dracula. My child is full demand from every supernatural being out there.

The pack has doubled the guards along the borders of our territory, to keep invaders out and keep our children inside. Thank the goddess ever since the last attack though no children have gone missing, But the closer I have gotten to my due date my beast has had this weird feeling lately. And will not let anyone near us other than our brother Nick and his girlfriend Callie, weird I know but that’s how she is handling everything right now.

Once in a blue moon she will let Jay’s younger siblings into the room and curl up to a movie with them. I asked her why one day, she said it was because the baby felt relieved and safe with them around. Which is what we are doing right now was watching tv together, when a sharp pain ripped through my whole body.

I screamed as my stomach started to twist at odd angles, “River” I screamed

“Shana what’s wrong?” the kids asked.

“Call your brother now! This baby is coming wither we want it to or not I yelled out as my water broke”

Within minutes the bedroom door flung open against the wall, as Jay raced inside and lifted me up into his arms. He carried me into the room that had been set up for the birth of our child. The pack already started to gather around as word spread about the birth of the bay. Pushing past the waiting pack members I was laid on the bed.

“Jay where is that damn doctor at?” I groaned out with each contraction.

“Easy Hun, he will be here shortly I promise you that.”

“Quit with the promises, it was one of yours that got me in this position to begin with. I said as I squeezed the lights out of his hand.”

The doctor rushed in followed by several nurses and told, the magical words I have been waiting to hear all day “It’s time to push this baby out Luna.”

“Alpha you get behind her and prop her up for extra support.”

“Wait a minute I have to be here for it?”

“Well yes, you do, you helped make that baby. You best believe your ass is going to stand right here and help my sister deliver that baby. Jay, I never pegged you for a chickenshit with a yellow streak down your back. Your supposed to be this tough and dangerous Alpha scared nothing, until now.”

Will you guys shut up so I can focus and push this kid out of me? if not I will personally have you both chained up together. When you will have to work together and get along before anyone can unchain you. That is if I don’t just break your jaws for you.

“Violent much” said one of the nurses.

You would be too if you're trying to deliver a baby and all everyone else wants to do is talk like its party.

Baring down with all my might I pushed, and pushed, with my hair matted to my head and sweat pouring down my face. I know it must have been a scary sight for someone else but who the hell cares. This is my body, and I don’t have the strength to look all pretty while pushing a giant watermelon out of my body.

“One more push Luna and our little Alpha will be here in no time” the doctor told me. With one more push I felt a pressure build and release, as a soft whimper was heard at the other end of my body.

“Luna, Alpha may I present the newest member of the pack, and your son.”

By the time the doctor had made her way over to me with our little bundle of joy, I was a blubbering mess. All that trouble and pain came from this little person that was snuggled up to my chest. Lifting my head up from the sleeping baby I met Jay and Keiran eyes the love shone so bright mixed with their tears. As Jay reached his arms out to the baby, he asked me “what are we going to name him?”

Jay I was thinking about Luis Nathanial Anderson.

Now that the baby is here, it’s time for momma to get her check up with the doctor, so all you other people can exit the room and wait outside. The nurse began to check my vitals when everyone walked out the door. Jay had the baby in his arms, at least that was something I didn’t have to worry about. I know he wouldn’t let anyone hurt that baby.

A few minutes later I heard a shrill cry come from the other room that sunt Serena into a fit of rampage. Only one thing would make that kind of cry and cause my beast to become violent. That was the pitiful cry of our child. Storming out the delivery room regardless of being healed or not our thoughts were on the newborn baby crying and calling out to us. All we saw was an angry half transformed beast that belonged to Jay. In his arms was my baby with a small gash on his cheek and neck.

What the hell happened out here to my son?

Several warriors were struggling to hold onto a suspect, the closer I got the anger I became. Standing there in the grasp of my warriors was a man I swore that if he ever stepped foot in my sight, I would rip his head off. And guess what? That time has come full circle now.

“Damon what the hell are you doing here? Why the fuck did you attack my baby, one that has never harmed you or anyone for that matter?”

“Y’all took something from me. So now it's time I took something from you. You were supposed to be my best friend, my heart and my love. But you turned your back on what we had, and for what? So, you could carry this man’s offspring.

“Damon, you got about ten seconds then I will personally rip your heart out, yes, we were friends, but you ruined that when you poisoned me. Remember that you killed me you bastard. Now I’m going to enjoy this,” I said with an evil smile on my face.

Walking over to Damon I said” I have three words for you right now Go to hell” with those final words I pulled his heart out of his chest.

Jay, gather some men, pay a little visit to my grandfather and find out how the hell this bastard got lose to begin with. Now give me the baby so we can get him checked and see if everything is ok with him. After an extensive checkup the doctor declared that the baby was fine. What saved him was the power he already has.

Now I have even more questions than answers, but my bundle of joy is worth it. It looks like we soon must step up and take the crown and throne sooner than I thought, if we are to find out who tried to kill our child, we will need all the help we can get.
