Sons of Justice 3: Love Unexpected

Bo is determined to make her dreams a reality. However, family ties and distrust in men keep her from fulfilling her dreams. She meets four men, soldiers, and their chemistry is instant, their protectiveness touches her, but she fears taking a chance. When her bosses at work hint about making her their woman, she knows it’s time to get out and move on. When her father makes demands and tries to force her to do things she doesn’t want, including spread her legs for her bosses to seal a deal, she refuses. On a whim to try and stay in control of her life she goes for a hike with four men she likes. The last thing she expects is to fall in love.

This new empowerment, thanks to her charismatic, sexy, caring, soldier boyfriends, gets her into further trouble at work and ultimately into a danger she may not make it out of. She hasn’t a clue that she’s been bartered for a business deal, and when it’s too late, her only hope of making it out alive and in one piece is from the power of that unexpected love she shares with Thor, Bubba, Philippe, and Channing.

  DEDICATION

  Dear readers,

Thank you for purchasing this legal copy of Love Unexpected.

We can’t choose our family or the people they become, but we do have control over our destiny by the choices we make and by those we surround ourselves with. Bo’s family doesn’t really love her and despite knowing this, she tries her hardest to do the right thing because of her huge heart and desire to be loved. She’s hung up on the idea of family, and ready to give her all, but by the time she realizes those she has given so much of herself to really don’t care, it’s almost too late.

May you enjoy her journey as Bo comes to realize that family may not be what she traditionally thought, but instead stands for the emotions, the love and reliability and those who give that love, that support and encouragement right back to her.

  Happy reading.

  HUGS!

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.

My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.

Being that my momma’s families were descendants of the original English speaking Southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.

Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true Southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.

Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.

Enjoy Love Unexpected and allow your imagination to soar freely.

  Prologue

“I expect you to be on time. The rest of us got here, so what is your excuse, Gabby?” Bo Suther’s asked the bartender who was more than an hour late. The bar was crowded at Percy’s Dance Hall. Bo was stuck doing this manager thing because her cousin London was sick again. She didn’t like being out here in the midst of all these horny cowboys, nor under the control and threats of Lance Percy and his family of shitheads. So what if her sister Sally married one of their cousins, or that her parents were friends with these people. Bo didn’t want anything to do with them, and she was tricked into this job that was supposed to be temporary. Yeah right. Not with Corey and Jake Percy, Sally’s husbands, keeping her barefoot and pregnant.

“I don’t see what the big deal was. You’re back here, Bo, and the Percys love it when you’re here for the night. They carry on about how great you are and such an asset,” Gabby said, pulling off her little hooded sweatshirt and revealing her big breasts pushing from Percys’ T shirt the family had all the women wear. If you didn’t have a big rack then they didn’t hire you here.

“This isn’t my job,” Bo said, getting annoyed, and she shouldn’t. She was stuck here a year now, but what had been contained as the back office manager, was slowly pulling her into dance hall manager, and she didn’t want that. She then heard Eliza, another bartender, gasp and then run to the back area by the bar. Bo went to check on her as the sounds of Eliza vomiting filtered through the area and passed the two swinging slotted saloon doors.

“Eww. Keep her away from me. The last thing I need is to get some stomach virus. My boyfriends will kill me. They have competition this weekend,” Gabby said and Bo rolled her eyes. Gabby’s two boyfriends were bull riders and they weren’t very loyal to her that was for sure. Listening to Eliza vomiting warned her that Bo was going to lose Eliza tonight to some sort of sickness. She hoped it wasn’t a stomach virus, although part of Bo wished it were and that she got it. It would be a good excuse not to work here for a few days. She hated this place and she hated Lance Percy and his family. His brother Tra
vis was an asshole in a half, too.

“Hey, Eliza, are you okay? Maybe you should go home,” Bo said to her as Eliza wiped her mouth and then shook her head.

“I need the money. I’ll get through this.”

“Honey, if you’re this sick with some virus, we don’t need to all catch it.”

Eliza looked at her and tears filled her eyes.

“I’m pregnant,” she said, and Bo was shocked. Eliza’s boyfriend was an abusive asshole and Bo thought Eliza was working on breaking things off. Her hesitation was caught by Eliza.

“I know. I thought things were over, but then he showed up one night a few weeks ago and told me how sorry he was and that he would try harder and needed me. Well, you seen him and all those muscles, and he’s so fierce and demanding, and well—”

“Condoms? Ever hear of them? Birth control? Hello, do you really want this? I mean a baby? You’re twenty-one, honey.”

“He says he loves me, Bo.”

“Does he know about the baby?”

“He’s thrilled about the baby. He wants me to quit working here, too.”

“Well, you better give London, Lance, and Travis the heads up then. Can you make it through tonight?” Bo asked.

  “I don’t know. It’s the worst I’ve been.”

  “You look exhausted.”

“I haven’t gotten much sleep, and when I’m off Donny is with me and it’s like we can’t get enough of one another.”

“Wonderful. Well, why don’t you head home? I’ll cover for you tonight, but tomorrow see the bosses and talk to them.”

“Are you sure, Bo? I know how much you hate working the bar, and the Mcull twins are here tonight with Lance and Travis.”

Bo swallowed hard and felt the ache in her gut. She hated those men and their friends. They were constantly making flirtatious comments to her. They were bad news, and into criminal things. The father and uncles were ten times worse than Lance and Travis. But her sister Sally Ann married Lance and Travis’s other cousins, Corey and Jake on their mother’s side, and she was on baby number two. What was supposed to be a short stint of a job for Bo out of college turned into a year job. She refused to live in the town, and get caught up in being controlled or manipulated by the Percy family. Even Lance and Travis’s father, Bert, adored her and wanted her with his sons. Burt was a mean son of a bitch and his battering, criminal ways were instilled in Lance and Travis, who had very little respect for women.

“I’ll handle this fine. Hopefully it won’t be too late by the time I get out of here.” It was a good forty-five-minute ride to Repose. Bo rubbed her hip. It was still bruised from over a week ago and the incident at the Filling Station. She couldn’t believe that guy who just tossed her up over his shoulder and started leaving with her. Nor could she believe Channing’s response or Bubba’s, Philippe, and Thor’s. My God, were they pissed off. Now those were four very big intimidating men. They towered over her. She was a peanut in comparison. Five-foot-three tops, and they were all over six-feet-two. She felt her heart racing. So good looking, sexy and capable, and in their thirties. They were men and she was twenty-three, and a virgin. As soon as they found that out they might react like Lance and Travis had. Her stupid sister was drunk one night and blurted it out. Bo didn’t even want to think about that night, or how close she came to getting involved with Lance and Travis. They nearly had her fooled with their charming games, but once her sister revealed Bo’s secret, they became more determined to get Bo into bed. She, on the other hand, became more determined not to let that happen.

All her life Bo had been surrounded by abusive men, and their women who were submissive and weak. Whether it was physical abuse, verbal abuse, or just poor treatment of women, Bo witnessed it. Bo didn’t want their lives and that’s why she stayed clear of Lance and Travis. She really needed to start looking for a better job in a better community. She hadn’t had the nerve to ask Brooklyn from the Filling Station if she were looking for an office manager or anything close, but there was a new place being built. A sports center. Perhaps they might have work.

She thought about it and would make a conscious effort to find out more. One thing for sure was she wasn’t coming in early tomorrow. Not after tonight and what was guaranteed to be a long, aggravating evening.

  * * * *

“What’s the deal with the bar? It looks like it’s backed up. We can’t have this shit,” Travis Percy said to his brother Lance.

“I think I saw Bo back there. She’ll get it situated, and Gabby is working now, too,” Travis stated.

“But where did Eliza go?” Brown McCull asked.

“Who the fuck knows. She’s been looking like shit lately. A few of the bartenders have been. I think we need to find some more hot chicks for the bar,” Lance stated.

“Maybe Bo has some friends. She’s super fucking hot,” Stow McCull added, and they all made comments.

Lance tried to find her behind the bar, but a group of guys were in the way and more than likely hitting on her. It pissed him off. He and Travis were both interested. She was gorgeous, with long brown hair, and a sexy figure, full breasts, muscular, round ass that looked sensational in jeans or short shorts. Her eyes were a cobalt blue that drew you in, and when she spoke, she spoke in a soft, calm tone that indicated how shy, reserved and pure she was. But that body was sexy, and hot, and apparently not tapped yet. That was what interested him and Travis most.

“She has a few hot friends who have come in here when she was getting off work. We’ll ask her. Make a point of talking to her alone later,” Travis said.

“She’s so fucking shy. Her sister wasn’t that shy,” Brown added, then took a sip from his bottle of beer.

“Her sister was already doing Corey and Jake. She was a party girl, Bo isn’t. In fact, I’m surprised she’s even behind the bar. She doesn’t like it,” Lance said, and then took another slug of beer.

“How are Corey and Jake coming along with those contacts of theirs? We were hoping to start distribution and getting our guys supplied. If we don’t make a move soon then some other dealer is going to come on in here and take it out from under us,” Brown said.

“They told us it’s as good as set. In fact, we should get a call tonight about a meeting location and finalizing numbers. By Tuesday, we should be able to start distribution,” Lance stated, his eyes still on the bar and Bo.

“Great. We can handle that on our end, and in a month, we can celebrate how good we’re doing and how stupid the fucking local cops are,” Stow said.

“Don’t go jinxing us, Stow. This is a lot of heavy drugs, and beyond any abilities by local police to handle it. With this amount and purity, if we aren’t careful, then the feds could catch wind of it and come on in. So be fucking smart and keep your mouth shut. No bragging and no throwing around your earnings. Got it?” Lance asked in a strong tone.

“You got it, cous,” Stow said.

“It will work out fine. No one is allowed in the storage warehouse out back. It’s the perfect spot to stash the drugs and then setup pickup,” Brown added, and then finished off his beer.

“It should all run smoothly if we’re careful, but I want those additional locks installed and the security keypad as extra precaution,” Travis said to his cousin.

“Why? There are already two locks on there, and only you and I have the keys,” Stow said.

“As extra precaution. How many fucking operations have gotten busted because some nosy dick came snooping around out of curiosity? I want it so the only way in that warehouse is by the code and the key, or blowing up the fucking door. Follow my orders, Stow. It’s how it has to be,” Travis said firmly.

“I think I’m going to go check on Bo,” Lance said and stood up.

“I’ll go with you,” Travis added.

“See if you can get that gorgeous woman to join us for a drink,” Brown added and Lance gave a wink.

“I think we all know the answer to that one,” Lance said, but still headed toward
the bar with his brother anyway. They paused a few feet away, and both he and Travis watched Bo working. The way her arms flexed, and how her breasts were so big that they pushed tightly together, forming a deep cleavage that was only revealed when she bent over. She was still dressed in her office attire, blue sleeveless blouse, black slim fitting skirt and high heels. Her legs and her ass looked so sexy, it was hard to concentrate on work today. He imagined grabbing her around that narrow waist of hers, pressing her over the desk and fucking her from behind. His hands smoothing over her tight, round ass. And then sliding under her arms and cupping those breasts. He licked his lips and his dick was on alert. She had to be a triple D size cup. Something fucking bigger than his hand, and he had decent sized hands.

“Those fucking guys are hitting on her, Lance,” Travis said and looked at him.

“Every fucking guy hits on her, but they don’t know what we know, or are they making progress like we will be shortly? Come on,” Lance said and headed toward the bar, pushing their way between a group of guys.

“Relocate gentleman, she’s taken,” Lance said. He saw Bo’s eyes widened, but she wouldn’t deny it for the simple purpose of getting rid of the horny cowboys. She gave him an annoyed expression and exhaled.

“Don’t look so pissed off. Eventually you’ll be our woman,” Travis said to her, and she rolled her eyes and then grabbed two beers out of the cooler. She popped them open and then set them down on coasters in front of them.

“There have to be some changes made. I’m getting tired of working all day and then getting pulled in to work here until closing. This isn’t my job,” she said, and then wiped down the bar.
