Loving a Bad Boy (Bad Boys Western Romance Book 4) Page 35

by Susan Arden

Chuckling, she skimmed her fingers over the muscular contours spanning his back, and squeezed his cock just to watch his eyes roll back in his head. “Like that?” she asked in a husky voice.

“Girl, just like that.” He dipped his head to her neck, kissing and sucking her skin. Unable to resist, she clenched again, eliciting another rumbling groan from his chest.

“More,” she begged as he turned the tables. Bowing off the bed, she pressed against his hips wedged between her legs as his warm palms spread over her breasts. Her cowboy used his body to pin her in place and it was his turn to chuckle.

Groaning, she bucked in need of riding his cock and she suddenly faltered when he lifted his head.

“I love you, Sommer. Always loved you. Always will, baby,” he told her.

“Cowboy—” She gazed up into his dancing blue eyes that had the power to hypnotize her, awakening the butterflies into a swarming mess. Too many to count. Her wild cowboy had shown her a thing or two. Ahh...

“Baby. You feel so good.” Rory kissed her neck and her heart started its usual gallop. Stop! She silently warned her fluttering heart. Get it together like the man above her.

Lifting up her arms as if drawn, she spread her hands over his chest. His heart hammered strong and fast against her palms. Oh. My. Somebody’s excited.

  Then it hit her.

All this time my wild cowboy was right by my side. He hadn’t disappeared. Rory had held his untamed side in check, acting as her anchor. Her cowboy had given her a safety-line to fly free. Explore her options until she was certain without regret. He freed her from the pain of the past. Most importantly she’d learned that he was worth the wait.

Without a doubt, Rory was right. She was dead to rights wrong. How could she be so blind?

Keep going heart. Don’t you ever stop racing. Ever!

Behind her eyes smarted, a little sting from the realization of what it meant to have a wildly thumping heart, almost denting her ribs.

“I love you. All of you, cowboy.” Her voice came out a croak, it that.

“Wanna hear that a million times. At least,” he murmured, plucking her fingers and kissing the tips, before he lightly bit one. Setting her hand back on his chest, he growled, “Baby. You feel so good. All over.”

She stared at her nervous fingers and instead of trying to stop them. She gave in. Resumed grazing the contours of his body. No sense in trying to stop her wayward hands on their mission. Nope. Tonight, she vowed to stop fighting her ricochet over-the-top reaction to this man. He’d captured her heart and soul and promised to claim her. Find her. Protect her. No need to keep running.

He was her best friend and she was his. The wild ride was here, next to him. No more fretting over her silly heart or fluttering stomach or itchy fingers. It was time she got with the program. Rory was her rocket to the moon. He was deeper than the ocean. Harder than tungsten carbide. Confounding as all get out. As stubborn as a rock. Could get her going from zero to screeching.

And he had a spot in his soul that was sweeter than Tupelo honey. One he shared with only with her. A key in a lock that freed her heart. He’s all mine. She glanced up and their gazes fused. And there went her pulse, soaring up, up, and away.

Rory McLemore owned her heart. Always had, and now her eyes were wide open. Married, this was the adventure of a lifetime. To love someone freely. Fiercely. Completely.

He believed she was strong, and had met her move for move, step for step even when she’d set out to break him. Really ludicrous on her part to try. No way to break a bad boy. Her mistake. One day, she might tell him. Say in thirty or forty years. But for now she’d keep to her plan of loving her cowboy with everything she had to give.

“Sugar, what are you thinking?” He chuckled low, tracing his fingers over her skin, down to her hip. “Tell me. Unless you’d like me to get you to talk. I’ve got ways, darlin’.”

Her breath hitched. Her heart raced. And she laughed, savoring how he made her feel. She cocked her brow, teasing him with a challenge, “I’d like to see you try, McLemore.”

His eyes gleamed blue fire. He was wise to her tricks, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t step up her game. Yep with her DLL, she’d pull out the stops and drive her cowboy wild, forever and ever.
