Dirty Sexy Games Page 24

Which was cool, except the gasp came before I’d done anything.

“Wow, Donovan is hung,” she exclaimed. “Not King hung, but no wonder he’s so confident.”

I turned my attention back to the screen late enough to miss his dick (thank God) but in time to watch him thrust into Sabrina who seemed to cry out in pleasure.

It was kind of hot, actually. If I didn’t look at Donovan. And if I stopped thinking about how weird it was.

“It’s really not fair that they got to have sex in your office, and we didn’t, though. Oh, shit. Donovan sent this to you so that you’d know that Sabrina was his, didn’t he?”

That was what he was doing. How fucking annoying. “All he had to do was say he was interested. Was I supposed to read his mind?” Oh. That was why he’d stolen my Walking Dead issue. He’d hoped I’d watch this.

  Clever. Sort of.

Elizabeth shook her head. “He’s such an asshole. But that’s kind of hot too. Claiming her like that. Lucky Sabrina.”

“Okay, okay, that’s enough.” I grabbed the laptop and shut the lid before setting it on the nightstand. Then I wrestled Elizabeth’s body around so she was underneath me, her hands pinned above her head.

“So I guess Donovan and Sabrina had their happy ending,” she said, giggling.

“We’re about to have ours too, if you’ll cooperate.”

“Do we? Have a happy ending?” She was serious all of a sudden, and I could tell she wasn’t talking about the same kind of happy ending my cock was aching to pursue.

“Do you really want an ending?” I asked. “That sounds so boring. And over. How about a happy beginning instead?” I rocked my pelvis against hers, though, so she wouldn’t forget about the hard steel between us in all this flowery romantic talk.

“I like that. A happy beginning.” Then, she was grinning again. “Let’s play a game!”

I groaned. I didn’t want to play around anymore. I just wanted to be inside her.

“This is a good game,” she promised. “You’ll like it. You be Donovan, and I’ll be Sabrina, and you can spank me for being such a dick-tease.” Somehow she managed to roll out from under me before I could agree.

But I was totally going to agree.

Dirty, sexy roleplay with my gorgeous wife? That was the kind of game I’d always say yes to playing.

  About Laurelin Paige

With over 1 million books sold, Laurelin Paige is the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio.

  Acknowledgments and Author’s Note

Sometimes a book journey surprises you.

Dirty Sexy Player and Dirty Sexy Games were supposed to be my easy books. The previous duet, Dirty Filthy Rich Men and Dirty Filthy Rich Love, were edgier and darker and the journey to get those out was not that smooth. So I was looking forward to writing Weston and Elizabeth, thinking their story was more straight forward and therefore easier to write.

Then I got to the actual writing and realized something - I’d set up both characters to have father issues. And I have father issues. And thus this “simple” story turned into an exploration through memories of my own past. I had to face things with my parents that I hadn’t yet faced. It was tough and therapeutic and I shed a lot of tears. So much of myself is written in Elizabeth and her relationship with her father. So many of her memories are variations on my own wounds. Her grandmother and that house in Utah is directly captured from my own Mormon family that I love very much. In the end, it was a very important story for me to write, and I hope you found as much value in the telling as I did in the writing.

Much thanks is required for books like these, but I’ll make it quick.

Rose Hilliard who had enough faith in my concept to offer to publish these in audio first.

Rebecca Friedman who makes every publishing deal a reality.

Candi Kane and Melissa Gaston who run the entire show.

  Kayti McGee who
knows what I’m trying to say better than I do.

Nancy and Erica and Michele for making sure the words were the right words.

Christine Borgford for making sure the words looked pretty.

My LARCs who give me more support than I deserve.

The Sky Launchers who make my day more than they know.

My readers everywhere who continue to let me write my silly stories and give me a job that I look forward to every day.

My besties in the biz who guide me through every decision I have to make - Melanie Harlow, Kayti McGee, Sierra Simone, CD Reiss, and Lauren Blakely.

My mother, husband, and daughters who show up in more of my books than I should admit.

My God who sticks by me, even when I invite the trauma in.
