hunched and huddled against the cold, towards their respective cars. Jill accompanied Jackie to hers, and before she shut the car door, she said in a small, frightened voice, “Jill, what are we going to do now?”
“Well, I don’t know about you,” Jill answered as she pulled her coat tightly around her and stamped her feet. “But I’m heading home for a nice, long soak in a bubble-bath to thaw out.”
“No,” Jackie said with a slight shake of her head. “I mean; what are we going to do with our lives?”
“Ah,” that was a tough one to answer, Jill had to admit, but she tried anyway. “We’ll go to pottery class on Thursday, then we’ll take it from there.”
