“Before we get the doctor here, what do you want me to do about these two?” Russell asked.

“Get them out of my sight before I fucking murder them,” Andrew said.

One by one, they were grabbed and dragged into their cells. It was freezing in the basement, and it was hard to form a coherent thought.

  “Hey,” Paris said.

“We’re not allowed to talk. I don’t want to get in trouble,” Lola said. “I don’t know why I care anymore. Death would be easier.”

“Are you still in high school?”

“Not anymore. I’m locked in a basement, waiting for the man who tortured me to let me go. That’s stupid, right? Waiting to be let go? It’s like dangling a bone in front of a dog. I’m never being let go. I’m going to die here.”

Paris shook her head. “He let my sister go.” She had to think that Celia was okay. Spider would take care of her. She was sure of it.

  “Lucky sister.”

“If you could, would you be able to send a message out?”

“Theoretically, yes, of course I could. It would depend on if someone was able to interpret it, and to also know that it was a call for help. With technology you can do most things.” Lola shook her head. “I shouldn’t even be talking to you.”

“Lola, listen to me. The guy I know, he’s with an MC club. The one that has been in the hospital.” She crawled toward the cages, hoping to get closer to the other girl.

“You want me to send a message to the Master’s enemy?”

“I want you to send a message to my friends. If you don’t, we’re not going to get out of here. Look at me.” There was not a spot on her that wasn’t covered in bruises. “He’s going to kill me, and then he’s going to move on to you. He’s going to hurt us.”

Lola had tears spilling from her eyes. “I’m so scared.”

“I know, I know. Chaos Bleeds are friends with The Skulls. If you can get a message to one of them, we could get out. When they brought you here, did you see where they were going?”

  Slowly, Lola nodded her head.

“You did, that’s good. That is great. Who have they been wanting you to watch?”

  “A guy named Whizz.”

“Send it to him.” Paris started to tell her the message, and she hoped to God that they two clubs were smart enough to find it.

  Chapter Six

  Three days later

After the fuck up three days ago, life was returning to normal, or as much normal as two clubs being together could handle. Stink took Sandy to work so that she could help with the brothers. Sasha still hadn’t come around yet, but Sophia was showing a marked improvement. She was still hooked up to machines and being carefully monitored. Those with shots to the arms, shoulders, and legs, had been sent home. Stomach shots were being forced to stay at the hospital.

They still hadn’t gone any further in their relationship, but Sandy made sure to kiss him now every time she saw him, and every time she left. She wasn’t going to have not kissing him as a regret, she’d told him.

Standing outside near his bike, Stink drank his coffee and stared at the clubhouse. So much had happened in the last few years. There had been a lot of death, a lot of loss, but also a lot of love.

“What’s going on?” Butch asked, coming to stand beside him.

Holding his hand out, he shook Butch’s, and pulled him in for a hug. “I’ve missed your fucking ugly face.”

“Yeah, Vegas is not the same.”

“Do you miss us?” Stink asked.

“Yeah, I do. I never thought I’d say that. Michael misses his dad as well.” Michael was the result of a one night stand between Cheryl and Alex. Butch claimed Cheryl as his own, but after his betrayal in helping another club, he’d been sent to Vegas, taking both Cheryl and Michael with him. “It’s good to be back.”

“I’m sorry it’s not under better circumstances.”

“I don’t care about the circumstances. Once I heard that there had been a mass shootout at the club, no one was keeping me back. I fucked up, but you guys are still my family. I’ll help where I can. Did I hear right? This is all on Gash’s brother.”

“Yeah, shit went down before Gash went to prison. Both of them prospected for the club. Gash got in, Andrew got the boot.”

“So this is Andrew’s way of getting revenge.”

“That, and we also took out the seller of the women he branded and tortured,” Stink said. “Brianna and Jessica both have his brand. There was a club whore as well, Lydia, I think.”

“That shit is fucked up, even by our standards.” Butch shook his head.

“So, what has been happening in Vegas?”

“Lot of fights, lot of training, and deals. I work closely with Ned, helping him organize shit. It’s not the same as being in an MC.”

“You ever thought of starting a Vegas Skulls?” Stink asked.

“I’m not the kind that can be a leader.”

  “It’s just a thought.”

“A good one, but still a thought.”

Since Ned Walker had come with his fighters in tow, they had been able to collect themselves. Whizz had been able to locate the feeds from the hospital, and discovered someone had left a trace after being tapped into them. Andrew was watching them, but Whizz had said that he must have someone doing the work for him. It was amateur hacker stuff but someone who was damn good at it as well. The kind that got people noticed.

The fact Whizz was able to do anything was huge. Sally wasn’t taking her operation well at all. She was still in the hospital, and the only person who could talk to her was Daisy. Steven, Lacey, Whizz, Lash, all of them had gone to see her, and not once had she shown any sign of actually responding. The moment Daisy was there, she tried her hardest to comfort the little girl.

Simon and Tabitha would be leaving at the end of the week. The doctors were keeping them for tests and further monitoring.

“This place looks amazing,” Butch said.

“What did Cheryl think of you coming here alone?” Stink sipped his coffee.

“She knew what was happening. I don’t keep secrets from her. I learned my lesson with all of you. Anyway, tell me what the fuck is going on with you and the hot little doctor?”

  “Sandy? We’re a couple.”

“Seriously? For real this time, and not just pretend.”

“She’s all mine.” Stink couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. It was damn good to finally say that Sandy belonged to him.

Before either of them could say anything, Lash’s car pulled into the parking lot. Stink placed his cup on the wall behind him and approached the car. Angel was back from the hospital. The baby was fine, more than fine, and so was Mommy.

She climbed out of the car, and grabbed the baby seat from the back. “We’re home for now.”

With the threat of Andrew, they were all on lockdown.

Those still in the hospital were being protected.

Spider came out of the clubhouse. Celia was in the play area on the swing. They had all taken to the young woman who had the mind of a child. She was beautiful, but they all cared for her wellbeing. Since they had her back, she’d been getting more upset, screaming for Paris, for her sister. Stink didn’t know what to do to help the brother. Every day Spider was getting stronger, but his rage was getting harder.

Angel came toward them, holding her baby. Stink smiled down at the little girl, Chloe. She was sleeping peacefully. Anthony was at school, along with the rest of the kids. “Do we have any leads?” she asked.

He spotted the black eye and cut lip that Andrew had given her. Tate’s wasn’t much better either, and Murphy was desperate to fuck over Master, one way or the other. Stink didn’t know who was more pissed, Tate or Murphy.

  “No leads, nothing new.”

They were all waiting for Whizz. Between his visits to Sally, and working, he wasn’t finding anything solid yet, but they all knew it was only a matter of time. It had to be. They were all counting on him,
everyone.

  Angel nodded.

“You’re okay,” Gash said, coming toward her. Stink watched as Angel was embraced by Gash. Lash tapped him on the arm, and telling him that was enough.

“It’s okay, Lash,” Angel said. “Hey, Charlotte.”

“I’m so pleased you’re okay, and you have a new addition to your family. She looks so cute.”

Everyone came out of the clubhouse to greet Angel, staring at the baby, and it was while they were all doing that Stink made his escape, jumping on the back of his bike, and heading toward the hospital.

Kids, he’d have them if Sandy wanted them. Throughout his life, he’d never wanted to be held down by them, but every time he thought of Sandy pregnant, swollen with his kids, he got rock hard.

  Seriously rock hard.

Parking his bike, he headed into the hospital in time to see Sandy placing down a file. She looked tired, exhausted, and in that moment, very fuckable. She turned, and the moment she saw him, the smile that played across her face melted his heart.

“Stink, what are you doing here?” she asked.

“It’s nearly lunchtime, or as close as you can get. Come on, I want to take you for a ride. Get away for a little bit.”

She stared down at herself. “I’m a mess.”

“You look perfect, and don’t let anyone tell you different.” He reached out, taking her hands, and pulled her close. “Come on. We need to get away from all of this.”

They left the hospital, and he straddled his bike, handing her the helmet.

“Seriously, you’re going to make me wear this?”

“Andrew is still out there, and until we know where he is, what he has planned, you’re putting that on. I’m not having your brains smashed because I wasn’t thinking straight.”

She gave him a pointed look, but didn’t argue, which he was pleased about.

“Excellent,” he said, when she placed the helmet right over her head. “You’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen.”

  “Bite me, Stink.”

“One of these days, baby, I’m going to do just that.”

He rode out of the parking lot of the hospital, and Sandy wrapped her arms around his waist, holding on to him tightly. His cock pressed against the front of jeans, wanting inside her.

  Focus, fucking focus.

This was not the time for sex.

Riding out of town, he went toward the mall. The ride took a little over thirty minutes but having Sandy pressed against his back was more than fine with him. He loved the feel of her pussy pressed against him. Soon, he would he fucking her, and claiming her properly. Until then, he was more than happy with having her any way that he could get her.

He pulled up into the bike space in the underground parking facility of the mall. Sandy climbed off first, handing him back the helmet. “Why are we here?”

“We’re here to forget about all the troubles that are going on.”

“Do you really think that is right? With everything that has happened, they need us to be ready.”

He pressed a finger to her lips, silencing her.

“No, no more work or talking about what is going on.” He kissed her lips, smiling at her.

  “I don’t know.”

  “Do you trust me?”

  “Of course.”

“Then trust me. We need this, and each of the men at the club is going to be doing exactly the same thing with their women.”

  “I’m your woman?”

  “My old lady.”

Once again the smile on her face melted his heart. “I never thought I’d be happy to hear those three words.”

“Get used to it. I may even get you inked just so you know who has claimed you.”

  “I’ll never forget.”

Taking hold of her hand, they made their way toward the main food court. Pulling her in front of him, he wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her neck.

“I feel like a young school kid with her boyfriend.”

He chuckled. “Be prepared for more of where that came from.”

They got some burgers and fries, heading toward the main seating area. Finding a little quiet place for them to have some peace, he sat opposite her.

“This is great,” she said. “Really, it is.”

Taking a bite of his burger, he watched as she dove into her own food. He adored watching her eat, and with Sandy, he saw what his other brothers saw with their own women. Watching her eat actually made him horny.

  ****

Sandy put all of her troubles out of her mind and focused on Stink in front of her. “This is good, I mean, really good.”

  “I know.”

  “Ego?”

“Nope. I’ve been to the mall a few times, and I love it here.”

  “Is it safe?”

“For now. Andrew is injured, and I’ve told you to trust me, and to not worry. I’ve got this, baby.”

“I know. I know.” She smiled at him.

“I also want to head out to my house to check on it, make sure I didn’t leave water boiling or anything.”

Sandy laughed. “You wouldn’t do something like that.”

  “And why wouldn’t I?”

She stared down at her food before returning her gaze to his. “Because you’re a safe guy like that.”

  “Exactly, and you should…”

  “Trust you.”

“I’ve got this, Sandy. I’ve got you, and we’re going to make it safe.”

She nodded. “You’re right. So, let’s talk about something else. What are your plans for after all of this?” she asked.

He took a large bite of his burger, and she watched him. This was what she found herself doing most times, watching him, observing, loving.

“It depends on you,” he said.

  “It does? How?”

  “How do you like Vegas?”

  “It’s … okay.”

Stink nodded. She didn’t understand why he suddenly looked nervous.

  “What’s going on?” she asked.

“There’s something I want to ask you, and it’s really important that I do.”

  “All right, go for it.”

“Sandy, I love you. I mean, I really love you. You’re my life, and I don’t see me being anywhere but with you.” He didn’t get down on one knee. Stink slid a velvet box toward her.

  “What is this?”

“It’s what I’ve been wanting to give you for some time. I bought it a couple of years back.”

“You’ve been meaning to propose to me for a few years?”

“Yep. I’ve always been waiting for the right time. It’s no pressure at all, Sandy.”

“No pressure? You’re proposing?” Her heart was racing, and tears filled her eyes. Staring across at the man who had not only protected her, but who had shown her what it truly meant to be loved, she couldn’t believe it.

  “Yes.”

  “We haven’t even had sex.”

“I know. I should probably take you out for a test drive, right?”

  She giggled. “Yes.”

Stink took the ring out of the box, and slid it onto her finger. “When all of this is over, I want to take you to Vegas, and then I want to take you wherever you want to go in the world.”

“Really?” This was why she had fallen in love with Stink. He was such a charmer, a caring man, and she loved him with all of her heart.

  “Yes, really.”

“What if you don’t like fucking me?” she asked.

“You just can’t get your head out of the gutter.”

“Stink, I’m forty years old. I know a relationship lasts a lot longer if there’s something keeping it together. Most of the time that something is sex.”

“Well, I’d say that we’re going to be the ones to keep it together. You, me, and us. This is what is going to be keeping it together.”

She stared down at the ring, shocked and delighted with his proposal. “I love you, Stink.”

  They fin
ished eating their food before they looked through several of the shops. Stink had eyes for no one else but her, which she found to be a heady combination. There were some scantily clad women trying to get his attention, but he didn’t give them the time of day.

The time away from the hospital was a delight. In the past three days Sandy had loved and hated her job as a doctor. Seeing Sophia’s health returning, Sally’s depression, followed by Sasha’s stillness, it had slowly started to tear her apart.

If Stink hadn’t taken her away from it all—she really didn’t know what she’d have done if it wasn’t for him. He completed her. In the early years of spending time with him, she didn’t really think much of him.

Stink was very silent. He spent most of his time watching rather than doing anything else, which was a strange combination to have. The club adored him as did she. She couldn’t imagine a life without him. He’d slowly gotten underneath her skin, and forced her to look at him.

After she bought some fresh clothes to replace the ones that had been damaged in the gun attack, they were back on his bike heading toward his home.

He lived thirty minutes from the clubhouse, close to Lash and Angel, Tiny and Eva. It was his own space, a three-bedroom house with a backyard that also had a pool. Stink enjoyed life’s luxuries, which was another surprise about him. She thought he’d be a slob at home. It hadn’t been the case. Also with his lack of smell, she could enjoy smelly cheeses, garlic, and every kind of food delight imaginable. He never complained.

That is because he loves you.

She climbed off his bike first, pulling the helmet off her head, and taking a deep breath. “I really hate wearing a helmet. Can’t you get me to wear something else?”

“We kill Andrew, you get to ride without a helmet.”

“Do you really think that is possible?”

  “To kill him?” Stink asked.

  “Yeah, he’s been pretty invincible.”

“He’s a guy, not some devil in disguise. We’ll find him. Whizz just needs to do his thing.”

“It’s hard for him to do when he’s worrying about his kid,” Sandy said.

“Once again we’re talking about stuff that I don’t want you to worry about.” He entered their home, stopping her to kiss her head. “Stop worrying.”
