“I’m sorry. I’m not usually like this. Everything has changed, and it’s hard to think of life before him.”

“Bastard did a number on you, didn’t he?”

She shrugged. “No different than other women. Paris, she was really hurt. I hope she makes it through.”

“As you can see, I know what I’ve been through.” He pointed to his face. “More than you know. I’ve been taken against my will.”

“Have you been threatened to be fucked until you bleed until you do something bad for them?” Lola asked.

Whizz got up and closed the door. “I don’t make a habit of saying this. People know what went on, but I don’t take my time to actually relive it.”

  “What?”

“I’m with The Skulls. We had a particularly nasty guy, and he did fuck me until I bled. These cuts, bruises, I begged for death, and it never came.”

“Yet you’re here talking to me.”

“The club, my wife, they are what drive me.”

Tears were falling from Lola’s face, and he didn’t even think she realized she was crying.

“I’ve only ever been good at one thing. From the moment I was handed a computer, they’ve been easy for me to work with. They don’t require me to be nice, or to talk. I just have to type.”

“How old were you when you did your first hack?” Whizz asked.

“I was ten. I hacked into the school’s files. I actually discovered there was a perv working at the school. I made sure people avoided him.” She smiled, and even as she was smiling, she was crying.

  “It’ll get easier.”

“My family is going to be here soon I was told. They’re going to be different. I don’t know if I can look at them the same. I’m me, but I’m different. I’m not the same person as I was.”

“This world is a fucked up place. I can’t tell you that it’s going to get easy. When you’re alone, you’ll start to relive it, and as you relive it, you’ll remember, taking you back to the point you were most afraid. I’ve been there, and I know it’s going to suck you down hard.”

  “There’s no cure for that?”

“There’s no cure, Lola. Time as with all things, it’s supposed to cure you, make you feel better.”

“This doesn’t help me. I don’t feel help.” Lola stared down at her hands. “I was just walking home. I’d been such a good girl. I know I hacked. A lot of people do it, it doesn’t make me a bad person.”

“You’re not a bad person. The Skulls will always be open to you. If you need any help, give us a call. We’ll be there. I’ll be here.”

She offered him a quivering smile.

“You did good hacking into the security footage here,” Whizz said.

The tears fell harder. “He was going to kill that nice woman with the blonde hair. I didn’t want to. You know I watched hacking movies where people are forced to do bad shit, and I always thought I’d be different, that I wouldn’t fall for the lies, the bullies. I’d be strong. I wasn’t strong.”

“We never know what will happen until we’re put in that position. You were very brave, and I don’t think you should be beating yourself up. You’re young, and I bet he made you suffer long before he forced you to do anything.”

“I just wanted to be better than that.”

“I know, honey. Don’t think about it. Just rest. None of us blame you for what happened.”

“It doesn’t make it easier. I can’t rest. I’m scared.”

“I’ll be right here. I’m an immovable force against everyone, and everything that tries to move toward you.”

  “You’d do that for me?”

  “Of course.”

  “Thank you.”

  “Don’t mention it.”

Whizz had been in her position. He knew what it was like to be vulnerable.

  Chapter Eleven

“Stink!” Sandy ran out of the doors, and he held open his arms, picking her up. He breathed in the scent of his woman, his wife, holding her close. Stink had gone home, and saw their bed hadn’t been slept in, nor had the clubhouse’s bed that they shared.

“I went home, and you weren’t there.”

“I couldn’t go home without you. I stayed at the hospital, worked, and there was an accident that needed me.”

Pushing her hair out of the way, he stared into her eyes. “It has been too long since I’ve been inside you.”

The wicked smile he loved so much played on her lips. “I can rectify that.” She took hold of his hand, and they walked toward the ladies’ bathroom. Sandy pulled him into a private stall, and with it being early morning, it was silent. She pushed him down onto the toilet seat, straddling his hips. “I’ve missed you,” she said.

Sinking his fingers into her hair, Stink pulled her down to claim her full lips. His cock thickened, and he ran his down her back, holding her close. Her tits pressed against his chest, and he moaned. She ran her hands down his chest, going down to his dick.

“You’re so nice and big. I want you inside me.”

Sandy wore a skirt, and he pulled it up to her hips. “I can’t wait. Baby, we’re going to need to figure out if you want kids. I’ve got no rubbers on me.”

“I don’t care. Just fuck me.”

She tugged at the belt holding his jeans up. Together they fought to get naked. She pulled his cock out, and with her ass near the door, she bent over, and took the tip into her mouth. He cursed, loving the feel of her warm mouth wrapped around his dick. He closed his eyes, groaning as she went right down to his balls.

“Fuck, baby, one night away from you and I felt like I was dying.”

“Me, too. We better not fight again, don’t you think?” She ran her hand up and down his shaft, staring up into his eyes.

He was captivated by her. She called to him in a way that no woman ever had before, or ever would. Cupping her cheek, he leaned back and thrust into her mouth. There was no longer any need to close his eyes, and imagine. Simply staring at her was all the imagination that he needed.

  She moaned, sucking on him.

After a few more hard sucks, she climbed up his lap to straddle his waist. The sight of her bare pussy was the prettiest he’d ever seen. Gripping his cock, he held himself poised at her entrance, and she gasped as she slowly took him.

Her hot cunt enveloped him, and when his cock was deep enough inside her, he took hold of her hips, and forced her down his length. They both cried out together.

To Stink it felt like they had been apart a lot longer than a few hours. Lifting her up, he started to fuck her onto his length. Her cream coated his dick, and he couldn’t help but watch how slick he got with taking her. Sitting up, he took her lips by holding the back of her head, and together they fucked. Sandy bounced on his cock, lifting up and sinking down. He ravished her lips.

“I can’t wait until I get you home.”

If women entered the stall, he didn’t know. His only focus was on the woman on his cock. Reaching between them, he teased her clit, stroking over the nub. Each time he did, her pussy tightened around him.

  “You’re driving me crazy, woman!”

He groaned out. When she came all over his cock, it was almost his undoing, and seconds later, his orgasm washed over him. Sandy got off his cock, and before the first spurt of his cum came out, her lips were over his cock, swallowing it.

Stink watched her throat milk his cum, such a sexy, dirty sight to see. It was sheer perfection. When it was all over, he pulled her onto his lap. “Do you have to stay here?”

“Not today. I’ve been here for over twenty-four hours, and I haven’t even signed a working contract yet. I can go.”

“Let’s go, then. I need to sleep. I’m exhausted.”

They put their clothing into place, and left the cubicle. There was a middle-aged woman washing her hands, cheeks flaming.

Stink held up his ring with his wedding finger on. “Newlyweds.”

  They walked outside, laughing.

  “I can
t believe you said that,” Sandy said.

“I didn’t even hear her come in. Your pussy puts everything on mute.”

“So I have a magical pussy?”

“You bet your ass you do.” He climbed on his bike, and handed her the helmet, pleased that she didn’t argue with him. She wrapped her arms around his waist, snuggling against him.

  “Where are we going?”

He wished he could say home, but that wasn’t going to happen, not today. “We’re going to the clubhouse.”

  “I’m tired.”

  “Me too.”

Angel dropped the kids off, giving them a wave as they made their way into school. Anthony held Daisy’s hand, and she watched her son take the lead with Miles. Both of them walked on, and the others followed. She hated seeing the kids like this, dejected.

Turning the car around, she drove back home. In the past couple of months, she had learned to drive and gotten her license. She’d had to convince Lash to let her do it. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust her. He worried, constantly, about her, which was romantic, nice, and sometimes a real big pain in the ass.

She down the street, waving at several of the locals as she passed, thankful they still waved back. Normally, she’d have stopped off to get groceries, but she wasn’t going to risk it, not with Chloe in the car. Pulling into the parking lot, she saw Gash sitting on the wall, nursing a coffee. She hoped it was a coffee. Ever since he’d gotten back with Charlotte, he’d been different.

Climbing out of the car, Angel smiled at him.

“Hey, darling,” he said, moving toward the car.

Before she could stop him, he was helping Chloe’s carry car seat out.

  “Hey.”

“Kids get off to school okay?”

  “Yeah, no problems. Where’s Lash?”

  “You haven’t seen him?”

“No.” She rubbed at her temple.

“He went to the hospital last night.” Since he’d become the President of The Skulls, he’d taken over the jobs that Tiny would do. She didn’t mind, for the most part. Last night after spending some time with the girls, and putting Anthony to bed, she’d crashed. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just a little tired.”

“You’ve just had a baby. Rest. I would have taken the kids in this morning.”

“No one else was awake, and besides, lots of women have done what I’ve done. It’s nothing great.”

She made to take Chloe, but Gash wouldn’t have any of it. “No, you need to rest before you put yourself in an early grave.”

  “Don’t be silly.”

“Tough. I’m being silly. You do know that behind Lash’s niceness is a monster, right? If anything happens to you who do you think is going to be able to control him? Me, Killer? We’re no match for Lash when he goes crazy.”

  “Lash wouldn’t do that.”

  “No?”

  “No.”

“Don’t be too sure about that. Please, do this for me. Charlotte and I, we can take care of Chloe. You never know, it could be practice for if we ever have one.” Sadness shone in his eyes, and Angel couldn’t hurt him. She couldn’t hurt anyone.

Even though she had plunged a blade into Andrew, she’d been so upset with herself. Violence never solved anything.

Making her way toward the clubhouse, she didn’t even bother going into the kitchen, and went upstairs. Entering the room she shared with Lash, she paused as she saw him sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked … rough.

  “Hey, baby,” he said.

She didn’t run into his arms. Wrapping them around her, she stared at him. “You finally came home.”

“Of course I came home. Why wouldn’t I come home?” Lash asked, getting to his feet.

“I don’t know. It’s the first time you haven’t called, or come straight home. What’s going on, Lash?”

“Nothing, baby.” He took a step toward her and held open his arms. “I love you.”

Angel stared at his open arms. She wanted to run to them, but last night, he hadn’t come home. He’d changed how he kept in touch with her, by not actually keeping in touch, and she didn’t like it. She liked the way they were, and if this was going to be their future, she wanted no part of it.

Some of the women might think she was overreacting, but this was only the beginning. Lash wasn’t Tiny. She didn’t know how Eva and Tiny worked, nor did she care to know.

When he came close to her, she held out her hand and stopped him.

  “Baby, what is this?”

  She took a deep breath.

“I didn’t call for one night.”

“It’s one night now. You don’t think I’ve seen how destructive couples can be together, and with each other? It’s one night now, but what happens in a week, a month, or a few years? You’ve just had a little girl, Lash, a baby girl.”

“The club has just been fucked over, Angel.” His arms were still open.

“And what makes a club strong are the people who stick together, who remain devoted to each other, and to the club. Deep down, you know I’m right. Last night, you should have called me. You didn’t. What if it was the other way around?”

  ****

Lash would have gone hunting for her. He’d have dumped their kids on the first person he saw, and gone out to get her. Angel was his entire world. He loved his kids, and the club, and over the years she’d become his main focus. In the beginning, he’d said the club would always come first, but that was a lie. Angel came first, and would always come first, apart from last night.

He had planned to come home, scoop her into his arms, and take her back to their place because he’d made the world safe. He hadn’t. Lash had failed to protect his family and his club. For the first time in his life, he’d been angry, ashamed, and hadn’t wanted to face Angel with his failure.

“He’s still alive,” he said. His throat was tight, and he felt like he couldn’t breathe.

  “What?”

“Andrew. He’s still roaming free out there, and I saw the look on his face. He wants to hurt you.”

“So, what does that have to do with not coming home last night?”

“I failed you. I failed this club.”

She frowned. He saw it, and he hated it.

“Wait, you saved two women last night.”

  “So?”

“So? Seriously, Lash, you’re going to see last night as a failure when I see it as a win.” He looked at her, and there was a smile on her face. She stepped toward him. “You didn’t come home because you thought you failed me? Lash, by not coming home, that’s the failure. I was so worried, so scared. Even Anthony talked about you this morning. This is the first time our son had to leave for school without hearing or seeing his father. Imagine how he must have felt. We all love you.” She wrapped her arms around him. “You’ll get Andrew.”

  “How do you know?”

She smiled up at him. “You’re not a failure.”

He stroked her cheek. Tears filled his eyes as he stared down into hers. “I’m so sorry.”

“You’re the leader, the Prez of The Skulls, but you’re my husband. You’re the father to our two beautiful kids. Don’t make me hurt you. You’ve taught me how to take men down, don’t forget.”

He started to laugh. “If you took me down, I’d deserve it.”

Lash pulled her into his arms, holding her close. Her soft body melded against his. He couldn’t make it up to her with sex. She wasn’t allowed to be intimate for a couple of weeks more.

  “I’m sorry.”

  “I know.”

Pulling away, he saw she was tired. “I fucked up. Come on.”

  “What are you doing?”

“I’m going to hold you while you fall asleep.”

“You don’t have to do that. I bet you’ve got the whole club waiting for you.”

“I don’t care if they’re waiting. My only focus is you. Come on, I’m going to hold you, and we’re
going to get the rest we both deserve.”

She walked over to the bed, and he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as she settled against him. “Did the kids get to school okay?”

“Yeah. Anthony and Miles took them in. They’re growing up so fast.”

“Yeah, they are. How was Chloe last night?”

“After her three o’clock feeding, she went back to sleep without a fuss.”

He saw she was still so tired. Kissing her neck, he closed his eyes.

“Where do you think he could be?” Angel asked.

“He’s got to lay low. Whizz made sure that his face was sent to law enforcement along with the whole documentation of his crimes.”

“He’s going to get mad about that,” Angel said.

“Yeah, so we’re going out later on. The club’s going to go hunting for him. We’re not going to give him a chance to retaliate.”

“You don’t know where he could be.”

“We’ve limited our search to motels, hotels, and abandoned apartment buildings. We’ll find him, Angel.”

He locked their fingers together, and she sighed. Within seconds she had fallen asleep.

Sleep was the last thing on his mind. There was no way he’d be able to find peace until he’d put Andrew in the ground. Even though he wanted to rush out, and start hunting, their men needed time to regroup, as did he.

Inhaling his wife’s scent, everything within Lash calmed. Even though he didn’t feel sleepy, his eyes started to droop, and everything went dark.

Devil made his way into his son’s hospital room. Both Tabitha and Simon were sitting on the same bed, eating, and watching television.

“They’ve been like that all morning,” Lexie said.

He turned to find the woman who had claimed his heart and soul. Wrapping his arm around her, he drew her close. “I’m sorry I didn’t get back last night.”

“I heard what happened with Paris. Is she going to be okay?”

“I guess time will tell with this one. I don’t know.” Devil sank his fingers into her luscious locks and stared into her eyes. “I love you.”

  She smiled. “What’s the matter?”

“It’s nothing. I’m just tired of all this fighting and shit. It makes a man sick to his stomach.”
