Shifting his hips just slightly, he dragged his shaft across the bundle of nerves within her that made her gasp in pleasure. He made sure that he kept that same angle as he loved her. He wanted her to experience the most pleasure that he could give her.

The long, low groan that escaped Lexi made him feel like the most powerful man in all the worlds. Every sweet sound of pleasure, every gentle touch, and every softly spoken word of kindness and love made him know that he had truly been blessed to have been given this wonderful woman.

“Sebastian,” Lexi moaned, wrapping her arms around his body and holding him tightly as she pressed her lips against his shoulder.

He felt the pressure of her teeth as she bit down and growled at the sensual onslaught of feelings that it caused. He pumped harder and faster, determined to make Lexi lose control before finding his own release.

Lexi’s internal muscles convulsed around his shaft, pulling a moan of pleasure from him. Her velvet heat made him crazy with need. Her touches made him soar with happiness.

He gripped her hair and pulled her from his shoulder so that he could look into her eyes. She whimpered as she looked up at him, her violet eyes sparking with gold as she met his soul and shared her thoughts and her feelings with him. He saw her happiness. He saw her pleasure. And he saw her deep love for him that was so new, yet so certain.

That was all that it took to push him that last bit he needed to send him over the precipice into complete rapture. He pushed deep, his pubic bone pressing against Lexi’s swollen button with enough friction to bring her with him into the world of beauty and pleasure where only their love would carry them.

Lexi cried out, her entire body throbbing as the climax began deep inside of her and built to a level of detonation that she was almost afraid to experience. She truly didn’t know how she was going to survive the pleasure.

She felt the pulsing of Sebastian’s shaft deep within her channel. She felt the warmth of his seed flooding her womb and was struck by the importance of it. He pressed deeper, his hands holding her tightly and pressing her already sensitive body against him. His hips jerked as wave after wave of his life’s essence filled her. His release spurred another orgasm of her own, sending her down the road to oblivion as she called out his name weakly and fell back, glad that his strong arms held her so securely.

“Lexi,” Sebastian whispered against her throat, his heart still pounding and his body still experiencing pulsing waves of ecstasy.

He leaned back and stilled as fear gripped him. Lexi had lost consciousness. He tried to pull out of her gently, his heart pounding with worry at the moan that escaped her as he tried to do so. He pressed back inside of her, remaining deep within her warmth, his shaft still hard, and held her tightly against his body.

Reaching up to tenderly caress her cheek with his right hand, he kissed it gently, whispering loving words against her face as he called her back to him. He hugged her to him with his left arm, determined that she remain safely against him during this time of vulnerability.

“Lexi. My love. Please open your eyes and show me that you are well,” he told her, his voice soft as he searched her face for any sign of awareness.

She remained still within his arms. He watched her carefully to ascertain that she was breathing, sighing in relief when he saw the even rise and fall of her breasts. He must have done something to cause this to happen. He must have hurt her. By the heavens, he was too big, too strong for her. How could he live with himself if he had hurt her?

“Please, Lexi,” he pleaded worriedly. “Let me see your beautiful eyes, my love. I am so sorry.”

Lexi could hear Sebastian calling to her. She felt his worry. It tugged at her heart and drew her to awareness. She needed to get to him. She needed to make sure that he was okay.

She fought through the haze of oblivion that held her. Opening her eyes slowly, she struggled to make sense of what she was seeing. Sebastian’s golden eyes were filled with pain and worry.

“Sebastian, what’s wrong,” she asked him lazily, barely able to form coherent thoughts. It took all her energy to reach up and touch his face gently.

“I am so sorry,” he whispered again. “Please forgive me.”

  “What?”

  “I hurt you.”

His hand stroked her face gently. His tender touches continued down her neck, touching her shoulder and caressing her forearm before he held her hand within his and placing it upon his chest. Lexi looked up at him, confused.

“No. You didn’t hurt me,” she assured him, sighing softly as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him as tightly as her diminished strength would allow.

She could still feel him buried deep inside of her. He tried to pull himself from her body, but she held onto him, wrapping her legs around his hips to hold him against her. She didn’t want him out of her body just yet. It felt too good. Too right.

“I must have hurt you,” he told her very seriously. “You lost consciousness, my love.”

Lexi blushed as she looked up at him. “I’ve heard that some women do that when their partners are incredible lovers,” she told him, smiling.

Sebastian eased back and looked down at her in shock. After a moment, a proud grin covered his face. Lexi could feel his confusion turning to pleasure with just a hint of arrogance. She couldn’t fault him for feeling that way. He had loved her silly.

  “Truly?” he asked, wanting more.

“Truly, tiger,” she told him, sighing.

“Tiger?” he questioned. “Is that term the same as Buster ?”

Lexi looked up at him in shock then broke into peals of laughter. “Goodness, I love you, Sebastian,” she told him finally, wiping the tears from her eyes as she looked up at his incredibly handsome face.

The smile left Sebastian’s face in an instant, replaced by a seriousness that made Lexi’s heart race. She blushed to the tips of her ears as she realized what she had just said. There was no taking it back. Although she hadn’t plan to say those words just yet, she knew in her heart that she sincerely meant them. She waited what seemed like an eternity for his reaction. Closing her eyes, she willed herself to remain calm.

“Lexi,” Sebastian whispered, waiting until she opened her eyes before he spoke again.

He saw her fear. He saw her worry. He was at a loss to understand them, but he was damned determined to banish those feelings.

“I love you with all my heart,” he told her finally, smiling at the surprise he saw flash within her eyes. “Do not be disquieted by your deep feelings for me. It is the way of true life mates.” He hesitated just a moment, taking the time to kiss her forehead before easing back to look down at her once again. “The feelings that we share are deep and immediate. The heavens know who we are meant to be with. Every match is destined. Every mate is ideal. You complement me as I complement you. Never doubt that I love you. Do not worry that you already love me. And never, never doubt that you are mine.”

Lexi smiled softly, knowing that she was absolutely his, as he was absolutely hers. And she did love him. He touched her heart and understood her as no other had before.

“I’m always going to be aware that I’m yours, Sebastian,” she teased him.

“In what way, Lexi?” he asked, smiling at the lightness in her voice.

“You’re either going to be inside of me, or I will be reminded that you were inside of me,” she told him seriously.

“How will you be reminded that I was inside of you?” he asked her, leaning down to kiss her cheek gently.

When he pulled back to look down at her, he could not help but smile at the blush that stained her cheeks. He loved her shyness. It was such a beautiful thing to see that she was such a strong woman who could have so many wonderful sides to her. He valued everything about her.

“Never mind,” she told him quickly.

“Oh, no, my lady,” he stopped her when she tried to move away from him. “You have admitted something that I do not understand. Explain
it to me. How will you be reminded that I was inside of you?”

“Promise not to laugh at me or tease me,” she told him quietly.

“You have my vow, my lady,” he told her sincerely.

Lexi hesitated but decided to be completely honest with him. “I really like when you’re inside of me,” she began hesitantly. His slow grin made her blush even more.

“I like being inside of you, as well, Lexi,” he told her, his deep voice filled with passion.

“And I love the feel of you finding your release inside of me,” she continued.

“That is something that I also enjoy,” he told her, smiling.

“And although it’s sticky and I need to clean up afterwards,” she began, blushing despite her determination not to, “I love the feeling of the warmth of your seed and the proof that we made love.”

“What proof?” Sebastian asked, not following her train of thought.

“I mean when your seed drips from my body,” she told him quietly. “It makes me realize that you’re really making love to me. It’s not a dream. You were inside of me.” She blushed deeply. “I know. I’m being weird.”

“I do not understand this word, weird ,” he told her, his brow furrowed in confusion. “But that you are happy that I was inside of you, and you like that my seed fills you, pleases me greatly.”

As he leaned forward to kiss her once again, she relaxed against him and felt the connection between them grown even deeper. As he settled her gently on the bed, following her down, she realized that they were still intimately joined.

He pressed deeper, his hard shaft touching that spot inside of her that sent a zing of pleasure through her once again. She couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

“You’re doing it again,” she whispered as she looked up at him.

“What am I doing, my love?” He leaned forward and kissed her lips lightly, moving his hips slowly and drawing a soft moan from her. “I am not aware that I am doing anything.”

Lexi couldn’t help but laugh, gripping his shoulders as he pressed deeper, causing the laugh to morph into a moan of pure bliss. Goodness, this man was going to kill her with pleasure.

“You know exactly what you’re doing, Sebastian Mathieson,” she accused him, her words cut off when he kissed her soundly.

He eased back and looked down at her, loving the soft smile on her lips and the way her eyes were glazed over with passion. It was a look that he hoped to put there many times over their lifetime together.

“I do know what I am doing, wife,” Sebastian told her, kissing her lips lightly. His eyes flashed golden as a violet and white shield of protection surrounded them both and illuminated the tent.

“You’re surrounding us with your shield of magic again,” Lexi told him, sighing softly.

  “Yes. I am.”

“You don’t need to, Sebastian,” she told him gently, reaching up and touching his cheek lightly.

Sebastian looked over his shoulder to the swirling colors that surrounded them. He returned his gaze to her, smiling at her frustration. He nuzzled into her palm and kissed it lightly.

“You will become accustomed to it, my queen,” he told her calmly. He dipped forward to kiss her lips lightly once again.

He moved his hips, drawing his shaft out of her wet heat slowly before pushing back in and holding himself still. He pressed deeper, closing his eyes as pleasure filled him.

“What are you doing, Sebastian?” she asked him, humor and desire warring within her.

He looked at her in all seriousness, his golden eyes blazing with violet sparks of magic. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against her ear.

“I am loving you,” he whispered.

  Chapter 22

“It’s a freaking castle,” Evie whispered, shock evident in her voice.

Lexi stood beside her sister and couldn’t help but laugh at Evie’s reaction to Sebastian’s home. Although Sebastian had told her that his home was a castle, she had to admit that she had also been surprised by their first glimpse of the structure before them.

The magnificent specimen of architecture held a place of honor at the top of a bluff that overlooked the beautiful cerulean ocean. The land around it extended for miles, further than the eye could see, to encompass beautiful, lush countryside. Hundreds of small homes occupied the area, telling Lexi that the families of Altavesta were held in great reverence to be included in the area of protection within the castle walls. Lexi wasn’t surprised. Sebastian was a man who valued family. He held his warriors close to his heart, referring to them as brothers. It made sense that he held the families of his world just as close.

There was an open courtyard surrounding the absolutely beautiful main structure. It looked exactly like the castles of Earth. The high curtain walls of the bailey had battlements placed every few hundred feet and surrounded the main home. What impressed all of the Gallagher sisters was the fact that the curtain walls with the battlements also surrounded the entire village.

Lexi could see that Sebastian did not hold himself above his people. He was obviously concerned with the welfare and safety of all of them. The homes of his people were defended just as much as his home was. A king who thought of his people as equals and treated them as such, was rare, indeed.

The entrance to the castle was made by way of the stone bridge that led into the gatehouse that guarded it. Instead of the latticed metal grating that you would expect it to have that could be raised and lowered to admit visitors, a haze of golden and white filled the entryway. Lexi knew that it was a shield of magic that guarded the people within.

She watched in amazement as some of the warriors made their way across the stone bridge and walked through the entranceway without hesitation. The only proof that a shield was in place was the spark of gold and white that surrounded each warrior as they passed through it.

Lexi turned to face her sisters and saw that they were equally impressed by the unbelievable combination of old and new. The castle structure looked as if it belonged in Medieval times, but the power of the magic that radiated from it gave proof to the miracles of Altavesta.

Francie looked at the gatehouse, turning back to look at her sisters and niece in concern. She was the one who was responsible for the technology and weaponry that assured their safety. This was definitely technology of a magical kind that gave her great concern.

“Do you think we’ll be able to pass through the shield?” she asked.

“Good question,” Gaiya spoke up, handing Hanna to Bree and walking over to Sebastian with purpose.

“Yes, Lady Gaiya?” Sebastian asked, bowing slightly.

“Will my sisters and I be able to safely pass through the shield to enter your castle, Sebastian?” Gaiya asked him, her voice strong but respectful. She liked Sebastian. It was Torin who gave her cause to worry.

Sebastian had not given thought to the possibility that the Gallagher family would not be able to pass through the magical shield. The shield had been put in place by his mother and father, and had been strengthened by him and his brothers Bryden and Tristen, as well as his warriors and the people of their world. The shield was meant to keep the Gorin and their allies out. The people of the many worlds that they protected could come and go without being stopped by its magic.

Only their enemies would be affected by it. The Gorin had hatred within their hearts and cruelty within their souls, as did the worlds that supported them. They were the threat to everything that was important to the people of Altavesta. It was the combined magic and goodness of the people of Altavesta that protected all of them.

The Gallagher family was now a part of their world. Knowing that they were the warriors who would help make their world safe was not the reason for their importance as far as Sebastian was concerned. Yes, it was a wonderful thing that they would fulfill the ancient prophecy, but it was the fact that they brought love and the light of goodness to their world that was most important.

  Sebastian’s life had a
lready been blessed with incredible happiness because of Lexi. He knew that the men that the rest of the sisters would bond with would realize immeasurable joy with the love that would be brought into their lives.

“You will be welcomed into our home,” Sebastian told her, turning to look at all of the sisters and bowing formally. “The magic that protects us is also a part of all of you now that you have arrived on Altavesta. It strengthens with the passing of each day. It will reach full strength when each of you has found and bonded with your life mate.”

Lexi walked forward, reaching out and taking Sebastian’s hand within her own and squeezing it lightly. She loved the way his hand swallowed hers. She could feel his strength and his power. She also felt his caring and his protection of her and so many others. She was so very proud of him. He was such a good man.

“My love?” Sebastian asked softly, looking down at her as he drew her closer. “Is something amiss?”

  “No.”

  “Are you certain?”

Lexi nodded, squeezing his hand again before releasing it and turning to face her sisters. She saw the way they were looking at her for guidance. It was her responsibility to see to their safety. She had promised their father that she would always look out for them. She took that promise very seriously.

“I guess this is it,” she told them, her voice calm. “We decide together.”

“What do you think we should do, Lexi?” Francie asked softly.

“I think it’s time,” Lexi told her, smiling in assurance.

Francie was always the voice of caution. It had saved them countless times over their six month journey to Altavesta. She turned to face Daria, hoping Daria’s visions would guide them once again.

  “Daria?”

Daria’s violet eyes clouded over just slightly, letting Lexi know that her sister was searching her gift before she answered. Daria swayed slightly, giving Lexi cause to worry about her. She was already weakened from helping Callie heal the injured warriors. Callie reached out and held her carefully, drawing her into her arms and holding her until the vision passed.
