Zach and Zoey both were relieved that the sphere would be moving to Earth II. Things were heating up once again in UFO sightings and neither one was looking forward to that!

It was very easy for either one of them to get emotional when folks started to say such crazy things about aliens from another planet. There were times they just wanted to scream at those folks and tell them they are talking about their mother.

Every single time a sighting took place, both started to worry. When Zach and Zoey met at the local coffee shop that morning to devise a plan, Zach was very firm in what he said.

“Zoey, I swear that if I ever become President, I will change folks’ views on aliens!” Zach said.

“Zach, I don’t think you can change their views forcibly, but you can help prepare them for the change!” Zoey replied.

Zach and Zoey both knew that way too many lives were now at stake if they did not find a way to help educate folks. It was that day both decided that sometime soon it would be time to contact MUFON. It was agreed that if the opportunity presented itself, they would.

“I am sure they would be the right ones to contact,” Zoey said.

“They could help us figure out the best way to introduce the concept that yes, in fact, aliens do walk among us,” Zach replied. Both agreed that it would be easy to present the evidence to them to share with the world.

“Zach, the government is hell-bent on hiding the truth and we both know that,” Zoey said.

“Then, when the time is right, we need to contact them together!” Zach also went on to say, “We cannot allow our mother's story to go untold or kept from the American people.”

Both twins were feeling uneasy about the trip their parents took and would not relax until they saw them again on this Earth or Earth II.

The Zhianites that were left behind started to worry that perhaps there was something about them that was a giveaway. Something odd that would make folks stare or doubt who they were.

Then there were the ones that were born of parents from Zhian and Earth. They too also knew that Earth was not ready to be introduced to anyone from another world. They began to worry and look over their shoulders too.

Every time a story hit the news of an alien sighting, an alien ship or a strange phenomenon, all Syra’s people that were still on Earth began to panic.

The one thing Zach new for sure was if he could win the presidency, he could invite his mother to land on the White House lawn if necessary!

That would be proof enough and to introduce her as his natural mother would certainly soften the concept of aliens, he thought to himself.

Zach and Zoey kept the peace with their people and were in constant contact with all of them. They were told not to panic. Keep a low profile and just laugh off any discussion anyone tries to draw them into about aliens.

This had worked for a long time, but the sightings had always been around and every once-in-a-while they would resurface for no apparent reason at all.

These sightings were a distraction because he believed they were fake or that groups of people wanted them to be real so badly they would see them in common clouds if necessary.

What Zach figured was that if he could find the right message to the people that it is possible for real aliens to have been here then and now, he would do it.

Zach felt there must be a way to get people to be more receptive to the idea. The last thing he needed was a statewide or nationwide panic on his hands. If that happens, he knew there would be no way his mother would ever be able to introduce herself.

Since no one was firing on the good citizens of the US, one would have to assume if aliens were here, they were here with good intentions. Yet, the very mention of them sent every human being into a tailspin.

He believed that this was what he was born for. He was half Zhian and half human and he would be the one to bridge the gap between the non-believers and the believers.

His mother had so much to offer the world, technologies far beyond anyone’s imagination, and all she really wanted was peace and to share what she has for the betterment of mankind.

His mother and her people chose the United States first, all he could hope for is that the U.S. accepts her in the end or Earth II will be her new home as well as all of those that came with her. They all felt a kinship with Earthlings, and he would continue to work on this dilemma until he figured it out.

Zach knew all his life, that he was born to be a peace negotiator, an ambassador, someone who one day could be a great leader like his mother.

One thing for certain, if it turns out that it does not work out for the Zhianites on Earth in the U.S. they would have a plan B, especially if it was because they were aliens, or even part aliens from another world. James would still approve the gifts to be delivered once contact with the government of the United States was made. A sort of token of goodwill.

  chapter ten

The Zhian Sphere was approaching Earth II, and Syra and James’ sleeper was set to wake them. Zee10 was proud of his trip because it was a smooth one and they had made it in record time.

With one of the rare blue crystals installed, the sphere could take a trip back to Earth in less than six months if needed. For a round trip of just a year, made Zee10 proud to pilot such a ship and he awaited Syra’s opinion.

But Ellead would be used for this task as a transport ship as well as an explorer whenever his services were needed for that. It certainly would on Earth II.

Syra and James were now awake, but James never saw the shield over his bed. He was never aware he had been in a sleeper until he saw the Earth’s date and time. That Earth clock was the one thing that he could wrap his head around and still feel connected to his homeworld.

It was that moment James knew he could trust his wife and the technologies she had.

After stepping in and out of the cleanser, they dressed and grabbed a bite to eat before it was time for Syra to slip into her captain’s chair.

James was in total shock at all the controls that the room had and Syra knew every one of them. Syra and Zee10 worked side by side rarely verbally communicating. They knew what they were doing, and it showed.

James was just grateful he could be in the room and was quite proud to be Syra’s husband and be allowed to roam the ship anywhere he so chose. Yet he chose not to for fear of getting lost. Even when he was shown a map of each of the layers of the sphere, he just made up his mind he would always stay by Syra’s.

The central core was always frightening and so was the cargo bay area at the bottom of the sphere, but they were impressive places no doubt, thought James as he sat there not touching anything but observing.

Syra finally finished going over the information recorded during her time in the sleeper and was quite impressed. The rare blue crystal made the sphere travel at speeds even Syra could not comprehend. Faster than her journey to Earth, and this was impressive.

She couldn’t help but look back in memory and think how important those crystals would have been to her people of Zhian when they were needed most. It was unimaginable to know but do nothing and just choose to allow a planet to die anyway.

Suddenly, over the com systems, it stated Earth II was in sight!

It was at that moment Syra and James were glued to the viewer and were in some sort of trance at the awe and beauty of Earth II.

Far in the distance they could see a bluish white planet and they watched as they slowly approached it, and it got larger by the moment.

James suddenly remarked, “Oh my God!” he then added, “It looks exactly like Earth but with less water and more land mass!”

The sphere would now take one rotation around the planet for Syra and James’ viewing pleasure.

As they rotated the planet, the sphere was ready to perch on the highest mountain already reserved and prepared for its landing.

The sphere extended its three support beams and slowly and ever so gracefully landed.

  “Touchdown!” James
said excitedly, then turn and saw Syra with the biggest grin on her face and he turned blood red.

It would be some time before exiting the sphere and so everyone went to their quarters to pack and prepare their pods for travel.

Syra and James sat at her personal com system and she and James received their first message from Zach.

Dear parents, I hope this message finds you well and that you had a non-eventful trip to Earth II.

My wife and I will have become parents by the time you receive this message. Our baby boy is due in six months. We will name him James Zachary Caldiron!

Your takeoff from the South Pole made the news from the large lake it caused which quickly froze over.

Zoey sends her love and says she is getting married to a nice young man who heads the organization called Save The Planet. His name is Preston B. Hollingsworth III. She will send you a personal message when she gets back from a world tour with her new husband.

Will send an update if necessary.

  With all my love, Zach.

Syra and James sent a message back but had to make it short because this was going to be a very busy day.

Dear Son and Daughter, our trip went well with no issues and we have arrived safely.

Congratulation on the birth of your new son and our grandson Zach.

Also, congratulation Zoey. We know you made the right choice. Please send our blessing and love to your dear husband Preston.

Good luck with your Save The Planet organization, we hope its success for the betterment of all mankind.

Keep up the good work dear Zach, we await visuals of our new grandson once he arrives.

Be well, your parents Syra and James.

Syra and James knew that since only one message was sent while they were in the sleeper, things must be okay back on Earth II. The Zhian Sphere can send and receive text and visual messages not in real time, but close enough within reason.

James and Syra prepared for their exit from the sphere immediately after they closed out the message com.

Once aboard their travel pod, with the coordinates preprogrammed for them to land at the settlement not too far from where they were, with visuals on, they were excited, to say the least.

Once out of the docking bay and up in the air cruising at a low altitude, Syra and James were both thrilled to see the settlement in its entirety and close-up. A landing pad was marked in very large uppercase letters SYRA.

Behind her, Ellead landed in the storage area of the settlement but remained closed so as not to interfere with the landing of Syra.

Everyone was ready for a big celebration and when Syra stepped up on the podium, she could not speak for a while as they continued to cheer her on for some time.

Greetings my fellow Earthling II citizens!

Please hold your cheering and thank you.

I am forever grateful for your hard work in establishing the first settlement on Earth II.

We have brought you many things you will find useful in your duties and look forward to a tour of all your accomplishments.

I see new births have taken place on Earth II, this is exciting and has been my dream for all of you. We will be with you for some time, depending on what happens back on Earth.

The Zhian Sphere will be channeling visuals of news from Earth in nearly real time since the rare blue crystal was installed and has a direct channel between Earth and Earth II. As you can see, James is quite overwhelmed and has chosen to remain silent until he can get settled in and adjusted to all the changes.

Syra and James stepped down from the podium and Zee10 gave them both a quick tour of the settlement.

Meanwhile, Ellead opened his cargo bay and the bots began transporting much-needed supplies to the storage area.

Pods were their only form of transportation, but a few of the younger generations were looking at new ways to get around in order to save their power sources.

The first place they stopped in their tour of the settlement was the large facility called Central.

First stop was the Medical Unit inside central. It was headed by an Advance Medical Android or AMA named Troxien. According to Troxien, the Restore Pod had not been needed not even once. Syra was glad to see him head this unit because she had known him all her life, his knowledge went far beyond his programming and he was capable of additional learning continuously.

The next stop inside Central was the FPU which was food production unit. One section was used specifically for the precious seeds more valuable than almost anything that had been stored since Zhian. They were using more of a hydroponics system until the land could be further researched for food production and more learned about the seasons.

Some of those precious seeds were shared on Earth, but it would take a few more years before Earths food supply would start to notice the true impact its fruits provided. Botanist Bot Coriyan created the seeds and they were virtually no different than Earth seeds in appearance whether fruit or vegetable.

One section was a research department to produce food and what was available on the planet. Farming was at the top of their agenda. This section of the settlement was basically in charge of anything the Earthling II citizen would consume.

Then inside Central, they toured the Infrastructure and Housing which was mostly made up of brainstorming ideas as was most of the committees.

The tour of the recreational section located in Central had both Syra and James wanting to hang around, but they were getting a quick tour and would return many times to this unit.

The Communication, Security and Safety unit in Central was amazing and Syra was well pleased. The settlers had set up the visuals of the entire planet from many different angles from several satellites Ellead had launched the year before. They had also set up the Security Net around the entire planet which was monitored continuously for dangers from space and was now connected to the Zhian Sphere’s central core power systems.

If even one of the markers failed to protect any of the others were able to pick up the slack. These markers were strategically placed and their locations unknown to anyone but those who worked the monitoring system. Ohtron had done an excellent job installing them and his constant monitoring was critical.

They had set up a safety perimeter all around the settlement to assure the settlers safety against the unknown. Much still needed to be learned about Earth II.

Then there was the Resource Center, Central had researched alternative power resources as well as installation and maintenance. Solar power was their greatest asset so far.

Since everything was recycled, they had set up a unit to control and assure nothing gets wasted and everything is reusable.

Lastly, surrounding the Central was the housing sections. All citizens had chosen to circle their living quarters around Central. The PQP’s or private quarter pods were efficient and wasted very little resources.

Back inside Central, Syra and James headed to the Communications, Security and Safety unit to catch up on all the statistics of the operation. Many of these early settlers were running several departments virtually alternating from day to day.

With the original population all settled in and the settlement ready for the next phase Syra noted that they were ready for another group from Earth to occupy the settlement if there were any.

Word was sent back to Zach to organize the transport of these individuals, all must be volunteers should they decide to join others on Earth II.

Syra and James retired that evening in their private quarters they had launched from the Zhian Sphere and settled in.

In the coming weeks, Ellead had finished exploring the entire planet from pole to pole in areas he had missed from his first exploration there.

It would soon be time for him to take another expedition to Earth to pick up volunteers who may choose to relocate. But first, he needed to go through a battery of tests and upgrades as well as to be refitted depending on what cargo he would be carrying on his next run. When that was completed,
Ellead took off into the skies to complete another round of transport of citizens from Earth to Earth II.

It was agreed that for now, only Zhian or half Zhian or those married to a Zhian would be allowed to live on Earth II unless it was preapproved by Syra. Sometime in the future they would allow Earthlings to relocate should they decide to, and how to choose who gets to do it. It was not a worry at the moment, and Syra quickly brushed that thought off her mind.

Each day Syra and James spent time with Zee10 who showed them areas Zee-uV had recorded and were now available for review. They spent each day taking off in the pod and checking out a new section of Earth II found to be very exciting and showing a great deal of promise!

Syra and James got the message from Zack they had been waiting for and its transmission time was greatly improved.

The report was that another 35 volunteers were now ready to board Ellead and could be as much as 50. There would be a chance that only two would stay and they each would stay near one of Syra’s twins.

No word was sent to Syra as to why they would have that many volunteers, but she was glad they chose to relocate.

Syra planned on visiting Earth again once Zach was able to announce her arrival and if she would be safe if she returned as Syra from the planet Zhian. That was something she and James both whole-heartedly agree on.

Each message was always positive and the visuals of her now growing family on Earth made Syra and James a little homesick. They just missed their grown children but understood why they chose to stay.

Syra’s children were able to do what she could not do. They could live among humans because they had a birthright to do so. No one knew their mother was an alien and Syra hoped that that information would never cause her children to be incarcerated by the government or anyone else with ill intent.

Syra nor James intended to stay as long as they had. But Earth II required a lot of their time overseeing the general operations and day to day to trips of exploration for resources were always needed. They soon discovered that their presence on Earth II was certainly needed much more than on Earth.

It was easy for either of them to not take Ellead back to Earth. Once they got to Earth II, it just didn’t seem fair to put so much burden on the first settlers.
