Mr. Alpha (Mr #1) Page 4

His fist clipped me right on the jaw, forcing my head back. I staggered and Blair held onto me, trying to steady my swaying form. Pain stung my jaw and lip, and as I wiped it with the back of my hand I saw blood.

“If you hurt her Dominic I will kill you.” Mason’s voice went low before he stalked off back towards the house. Tina and Gerald rushed from the house right as Mason entered.

“What the hell happened out here?” Gerald ordered his eyes piercing mine.

“I just told Mason about Blair and me.” Blood pumped in my ears and adrenaline rushed through my veins. There was only one way to prove to Mason, that I was the best man for Blair and that was through being here for her every single step of the way. I wouldn’t give her up. I wouldn’t let her down, and I wouldn’t hurt her.

“Oh God…” Tina rushed to Blair aide. “Are you okay sweetheart?” Tina asked, her question directed at Blair.

“Yes, Mom. It’s Dominic who is bleeding.” Blair’s tone was filled with annoyance. Tina shifted her eyes toward me a smile pulling at her lips.

“While he will live, a little cut never hurt anyone.” I shook my head. She was right I wasn’t going to die, though my ego was bruised a little bit.

“He knows now, and is clearly pissed so can we go home now?” Blair asked, her sweaty nervous palm in mine.

“Whatever you want Blair…. It would probably be best to let your brother be before we tell him anything else.” I mumbled under my breath to Blair. Her mother turned on her heels and headed back in the direction of the house.

“Thank you.” Blair beamed up at me. She had no idea it was I that was thankful for her.

“It’s me who’s thankful for you baby…” I dipped my head low, pressing a soft kiss against her lips. Pain sliced through my lip but it was worth it. Every kiss I ever got to give Blair was worth it.

  Epilogue

  Blair

Mason hadn’t warmed up to Dominic and I being together but that was fine because there was no one I would rather have by my side. The news of our pregnancy broke the camels back and though my parents were happy for Dominic and I they were worried about Mason and his reaction to everything.

“I love seeing you all round, and waddling. I might keep you this way for the rest of our lives.” Dominic laughed, pressing a kiss against the back of my neck. I had just slipped into the only nightgown I had left that fit me.

“I’m miserable, and just cannot wait to be done being pregnant,” I whined spinning around to face Dominic. A frown marred his handsome features.

“I can’t have you being miserable so I guess we will wait a bit before I give Connor a brother or sister.” A smile pulled at my lips. Dominic was the best at everything life had to offer, so I knew for a fact he was going to be the best Dad to our children, no matter how many we had.

“Aren’t you scared?” I asked. Dominic gave me a puzzled look as if to say what do you mean? I had talked to Cindy a time or two about my fears on pregnancy and parenting but she didn’t understand half the stuff I was going through since she wasn’t even with anyone yet.

“Scared? Of what?” Dom’s voice was low, and sultry making my nipples harden against my nightgown.

“Parenting. Having a baby.” I blinked, pulling myself from my own thoughts.

“No one is a perfect parent. You learn as you go.” He made it sound so simple, so carefree. Then there was the added weight and fact that Mason wasn’t talking to hardly anyone and that worried my parents and both Dom and me.

“Okay, so what about all my other fears?” I blurted out without thinking of what it was I was going to say.

“Whatever fears you have I’ll take care of them. I’ll protect you, and our unborn baby from anything bad.” A calmness that only Dom could give me washed over me. The sound of our hearts beating together filtered into my ears.

“I want Mason to be okay with us. I want to get married and have more kids. I want to make up for all the lost time…”

“Shhh, we will baby. I’ll make you my wife, as soon as the time is right. I want things with your brother to smooth over too. I don’t want to hurt him any more than we already have. Everything is going to be okay.” Dom cradled me to his chest and I knew he was telling the truth.

Everything in due time would be okay.

With a family of my own to love, I would have everything I would ever need in life. I might not have had prince charming, but I had alpha charming and he had stolen every single piece of my heart.
