 6: FADING
As I was standing there inside the doorway of the Band Room, Megan as walking down the stairs. Tears were filling my eyes as she went further and further away,
   “Megan! Please!” I pleaded.
I knew she wanted to be human and know me as well. If she went, she’d be twelve by the time I turned ten! Who knows what would happen to me?
Megan stopped in her tracks when I called out her name again. She slowly turned around towards me and Keea. She shrieked when she saw me and I asked, “What?”
   My fingertips started to rich.
   “What the—” I moaned.
A sharp stab hit me on my foot. I grabbed it and took my shoe off. I could see through it! I let out a shape cry as another stab hit me in the back. I put my hand on my forehead, and—was I sweating? I pulled my hand away and—
   “Ahhh!”
   I was bleeding!
Megan let out a sharp scream as the blood dripped from my forehead onto my neck.
Megan and I let out another high-pitched scream as I started to disappear.
She and Keea looked at me with wide-eyes.
   I was so scared.
   “Keea?! What’s happening?!”
“I—I do not know!” She shrieked, then pounced out the window.
   “Megan—please—”
   Fog spread around me.
I let out a scream of terror, and then I disappeared.
