by Buck, Alicia
How do you think Mary will handle being a princess in Iberloah’s society after having grown up in a democratic nation?
Do you think that Mary is a passive character or an active character? Why?
About the Author
Alicia Buck was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on a cold November day and has hated the cold ever since. Luckily, she now lives in much-warmer St. George, Utah, with her husband, Jason, and three children: Connor, Riley, and Elizabeth.
Alicia has wanted to be a writer ever since fourth grade. At that time, she felt sure her stories were creative masterpieces. When she was older, she reread her flashes of brilliance only to realize that they were nothing of the sort, but that didn’t quash her desire to keep writing.
Alicia received her bachelor’s degree from BYU in English and had to constantly defend her major when she had absolutely no desire to teach. Who said all English majors have to be teachers?
