The Legacy of the Assassin Page 20

by Tony Bertot

Sam Williams and Sheila Cooper were found innocent of the charges of conspiracy to commit murder. At the hearing, they both testified they had been setup when a call came in that Mr. Tyler Santiago had been targeted by the Giordano organization, and there was strong indication they were closing in on him. Due to this incident and their past history, they were allowed to take early retirement with full pensions and benefits. Two months later, they each received $100,000 dollars in cash with a short note apologizing for having to compromise their position with the FBI. Both kept the money and lived the rest of their lives in comfort.

Felicia's funeral was attended by every crime boss in the United States. Mostly out of fear that she wasn't really dead and was testing them. With her death, the Giordano organization began to unravel, and within two years it ceased to exist.

As for the assassin, Theo Gresco, he remained in South America where he was later joined by Nikki Gaweli, who was surprised when she found a plane ticket to a remote part of South America, with a note asking her to take a chance. They live there to this day enjoying walks on the beach as their daughter Sylvia follows, skipping happily behind them.
