The Princess and the Peas Page 4

by David Smith

success bred success the people of Punt developed a wider, more understanding and appreciative perspective on the Princess and her ‘ways’. You can’t, thank God, cure different thinking, but you can embrace it and enjoy it for its own beauty, and you can accept that where there are clashes there are also compromises to be made. But compromise is a good thing. It stops wars and everything!

And in case you’re wondering, the princess still ADORES peas… she eats them at least four times a week (usually with fish-fingers and chips and far more vinegar than is good for her), chewing them nicely and properly with her new and gleaming dentures.
