  “Stop thinking about whom?”

She gasped and spun so fast she spilled water all over herself. “Ohmigod! You scared me half to death.” She swiped at the water, managing to spread it around, chilling her.

“Sorry about that. I've been searching this museum for ten minutes looking for you. Maybe next time, turn on some lights, so I know where you are or wear a bell.” He laughed.

She didn't know how to tell him there would be no next time. “I'll think about the bell.” Was the only response she gave. It would be wonderful if she could see him more, but after what she went through, she just couldn't trust men.

He approached her, sitting down next to her. “You're all wet.”

She held the half empty bottle up. “Yes, and it's your fault.” She teased.

His finger traced a spill pattern over her breast. Her nipple responded immediately, seeking the source of pleasure. “Mmm, what you do to me. I seem to melt around you.”

He bent his head down, taking the beaded tip into his mouth through the silken material.

She whimpered as he nipped at her with his teeth. Why couldn't she see him again? She'd almost forgotten.

His head came up. He stared at her for a moment through half lidded eyes. “I say we need to take this back to the bedroom, but ... ” He gave her a sheepish grin. “I'm uh, out of condoms.”

She perked up really fast. “I have some.” They were a year old and were gag gifts from her bridal shower, but they should do in a pinch.

“Now you're talking sweetheart, lead the way.” She hopped up, feeling the wet from the water and from him, sending a chill throughout her body. She wanted this man like no other, including David. Maybe, just maybe, she could see him one more time. She led him to her bedroom, opened her nightstand and pulled out the green glow-in-the-dark condoms. There were half a dozen all tied with ribbon to sticks like lollipops. Her face heated, this had to be a first for him. She turned and handed him a stick and he chuckled.

“I'm not even going to ask,” he said twirling the condom pop in his hand. “but, I am ready to continue what we started.”

“Yeah.” She nodded her head. “I am too.”

He pulled the ribbon, letting loose the condom packet and had it on in a second. She was already slick and ready with her own arousal. Could she ever get enough of this man? That thought should have scared her, but the headiness of her arousal was clouding her mind.

“Don't wait. Please just don't make me wait.” Her clit was a throbbing hard knot begging to be touched. Her pussy seemed to pulsate along with it, getting slicker by the second. She got on the bed, letting her robe fall open and spread her thighs for him.

He climbed up between her legs, centered himself and slid in to the hilt in one smooth motion. “Yes, that's what I wanted.”

“Dammit baby, you're going to kill me in one night. I just can't get enough of your sweet pussy.” His strokes were long and languid. He took his time enjoying each and every entry. Every single hot inch of her quivering flesh gripped him. Her greedy little pussy was holding him inside of her, milking every inch of his cock, robbing him of his sanity. His arms shook holding himself off of her as he looked down where they were joined. Just the sight of it exhilarated him. They fit perfect, just like they were made for each other. Her pelvis gyrated, meshing them together. He took one nipple into his mouth, nibbling on the hard pebble, eliciting a breathy moan from her. He knew he was in deep shit with her. This was the kind of woman he could lose his mind to. Something Jeff would forever give him shit about.

  “Kyle please, I need more.”

“Touch yourself baby, show me how you pleasure yourself.” She held back at first, but then snaked her hand between them, rubbing her clit in circles. “God, I could come just watching you.” He shook his head and closed his eyes, trying to hold onto control. Yes, she could very easily drive him insane with pleasure.

Her breaths were shallow pants; her body flushed a beautiful pink, sending heated shockwaves to her pussy. He felt the tell-tale signs of her orgasm rolling over them both. She gripped him tight, squeezing his seed from him He pumped two more times and roared his release, feeling the condom rip. He pulled out as fast as he could, but knew it was too late.

“Dammit! The fucking condom broke.” He rolled off of her and asked, "Are you protected?

She panted out, “No, I'm not.”

They laid in awkward silence for long moments until he got up to ditch the broken condom. He'd never had a condom break before. Of course, he'd always used new and reliable brands. Not the little novelty ones.

He pulled on his pants and shirt on his way back. This wasn't the best way to end the night, but he didn't know what else to do. He didn't know how to talk about this or even if it needed to be talked about, but he would do the right thing if she were to conceive.

She pulled her robe closed as he approached. He sat on the edge of the bed, pulled his boots on and looked over his shoulder at her. “I have to go, but I'd really love to see you again. I'm sorry about the condom. I'll bring a whole box next time.” He smiled down at her, but she didn't smile back. She seemed deep in thought.

He kissed her on her forehead and used a pad and pen on her nightstand to write his number down. “This is my cell. You call me anytime you want.” He left it on top of a stack of books and kissed her lips, just a gentle peck and left. She never said a word.

Laine had no idea what to do, or what to say. She had just had sex with Mr. Orgasm for the third time in one night, and he had come inside her and left. She closed her eyes and felt the sting of tears behind her lids. She supposed she might have to see him again now. This one night stand might have turned into a lifetime commitment.

She got up, went to the bathroom, started a bath, poured in copious amounts of bubble bath and soaked until she was pruning. She let the tears flow as she lay in the warm water, the bubbles and water lapping at her, reminding her of his touch. What was it about him? Everything.

She tried to rationalize in her mind all the reasons she shouldn't see him ever again but, she just couldn't come up with a good enough reason. All of her reasons seemed hollow and flat. He was interested in sex just like her, he didn't seem interested in more just like her, so maybe they could just have a sexual relationship. Maybe friends with benefits. Yes, that would be it a sex only relationship. She didn't know why she hadn't come up with this before. Of course, the fact that she might be pregnant hadn't been lost on her and their next rendezvous would probably be a bit uncomfortable, but she could handle it. He would forget about it the minute he touched her, as would she. She swiped the tears away with the back of her hand, washed herself and headed for bed. She knew she probably wouldn't sleep a wink and it was only two hours before she had to get ready for work. An image of a boy with ice-blue eyes – just like Kyle's – with dark hair and his olive skin tone popped into her mind and she stopped breathing. She felt panic rising to the surface. “Oh God, what if I'm pregnant.” She looked down at her abdomen. Put her hand flat against it. “Please, don't be pregnant. Please, don't be pregnant.” She chanted this over and over until she fell asleep.

The shrill ring of her alarm was awful. Not enough sleep, definitely not enough sleep. God, her head hurt. She thought about calling in. After all it was her business and Julie could handle things with her hands tied behind her back and blindfolded. She had several wedding consultants to cover clients and the photographer would be in today, so everything was covered. But, she didn't know what in the world to do all day. She dragged herself out of bed, pulled on a three piece suit with slacks, and headed for her office. She thought about making the detour by the fire station, but chickened out. What if he saw her after last night? How would he react? She wasn't sure, but he did leave her his number and said to call anytime. That had to be a good sign, right?

She pulled into her space and checked her face, noting that the bruise had all but disappeared. Thank goodness.

  As
she walked in the door, she registered the bustle of women readying for yet another day at Bliss and shook her head. It was always busy thanks to Julie. She imagined Julie should be the owner if she ever decided to sell. Bliss was the only one-stop wedding boutique in Atlanta, complete with a wedding chapel. Chapel wasn't an appropriate word really, considering it was a huge building able to seat four hundred guests, complete with reception hall, ball room and full bar. Most of her clients used the chapel considering it was non-denominational but a few, like the Gordon's wanted to use their own church. She didn't mind because travel expenses were then added to the couple's bill.

Grabbing a fruit plate, she headed into her office. She tried stabbing a piece of melon with her Spark and was unsuccessful. She'd have to talk to Julie about the plastic ware.

“There you are,” Julie said poking her head in Laine's office.

Laine held up her Spork. “Why Sporks? They don't stab a melon ball very well.”

Julie took the utensil and scooped up a melon ball. "Because they're not supposed to stab, you scoop. Laine shrugged her shoulder and popped the ball into her mouth. She closed her eyes and let the cold juice spread across her taste buds.

“What's going on with you, Laine? You seem different this morning.” Julie narrowed her eyes at Laine. “Ohmigod! You went out with Mr. Orgasm didn't you?”

Laine just about choked on the melon. Her wide eyed glare landed on Julie, who had her hands on her hips, tapping her foot. She swallowed and whispered, “Julie, could you keep it down. I don't need everyone here in my business.”

“Ha! I knew it.” She pulled up a chair sitting all the way forward, snagged a melon ball and said, “Spill. I want to hear every gory detail.”

Laine sat back, uncomfortable being an understatement. She and Julie were close enough to talk about this and they had discussed Julie's love life in very vivid detail, several times, but she didn't feel comfortable talking about it yet.

“We did meet and we did spend time together, but that's all I'm going to say.”

Julie scoffed, “You have heard every gory detail about my sex life and we're both in the B.A.B.E.S. book club, so you can tell me.” Julie practically begged to get the details, but Laine wouldn't talk about it with Julie, but she would with Melanie.

Just because they were both members of a book club that stood for Books And Battery Executed Sex, was not a good enough reason to talk about it. After all they worked together.

“Miss Draffin, you have a client waiting.” Patrice chimed over the intercom system and Laine felt the relief wash over her. Julie looked disappointed, but stood and left.

Laine had no idea how she would get any work done, so she called Mel.

“Hi, Mel, will you meet me for lunch?” She tapped a pen impatiently.

“Sure. Are we meeting at Mama Vercelli's?”

  “Yeah, that sounds good.”

“I need your advice about an accident.”

  * * * *

It took every bit of his resolve not to call her. It was easy enough to find her number now that he knew her address. “Dammit, I don't know what to say.”

Usually he had lines for every situation, just not for her. He needed to talk to Jeff.

He hadn't expected Jeff to have a little blond in his bed. He gestured with his chin for Jeff to come out. Jeff untangled himself from the sleeping blond, pulled on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts and stepped out.

“What's up?” Jeff leaned against the stairwell rail.

“I have a problem. It's about the woman I left with last night.”

“You have a problem and are asking me for help? This must be something major.”

Kyle crossed his arms over his chest and stared down at Jeff, reminding him who could kick whose ass. “I had a condom break on me last night and I was just wondering if it has ever happened to you?”

“Hell, No!” Jeff shook his head. “Was it one of the ones I gave you? I'll throw that box away if it was.”

Kyle's face heated. He wondered how to explain this without getting laughed at. “No, it was one of hers.”

“You should know you can't trust a chick with a condom. They poke holes and shit in them. What were you thinkin'?”

“I was thinkin' I wanted to have sex again.” He leaned back on the wall and stared at the floor.

“Just remember to tell her you'll pay for an abortion if she wants one. And I hope for your sake, she wants one. If she's even pregnant, which, she probably isn't. Just don't use her condoms again. It could be a trap. She might be a Minivan in a wildcat's clothing.”

Kyle scoffed. “No way. Laine is definitely not a Minivan. Nowhere even close to one, and no way would she sabotage a condom. You don't know her.”

Jeff's brows grew together. “You don't know her either. Hell, I think she's pretty, but come on man, she's not all that and she's rude to boot.”

Kyle looked at his friend in disbelief. “How the hell do you figure she's rude?”

“Damn, Kyle, I saw her last night. The bitch spit a cherry in your face. I'm surprised you left with her after that.”

Kyle laughed at the memory of the cherry, grateful for the ice cube that gave him the first full on view of her tits, but grew serious, giving Jeff a warning. “You ever call her a bitch again and I'll lay you out flat. You understand?”

Jeff nodded his understanding. “So? You plan to see her again?”

“Yep, just as soon as she'll let me. Things were a bit strained when I left this morning, but I left her my number.”

  “You think she'll call?”

“I'm not sure, but if she doesn't, I'll call her.”

Jeff clapped him on the shoulder. “And just think, you could have been here with me and shared that chick.”

Kyle rolled his eyes, and threw his thumb over his shoulder. “What's her name?”

Jeff shrugged. “Not sure. I think its Sandy or Sandra or something like that.”

“It's Sarah, asshole.” They both heard from behind them.

“Right, Sarah, nice to meet ya,” Kyle said

Jeff looked like he'd just been caught in the cookie jar, and pasted on his pretty boy smile. “Sarah, I was just so caught up by your beauty, I forgot your name.”

She pulled the sheet tighter around herself and slammed the door.

“Fuck!” was Jeff's opinion about it.

“I would say so.” Kyle agreed.

“Great, now I've just been kicked out of my own room.” Jeff crossed his arms over his chest.

  “You sure can pick 'em.”

“Yeah, well I don't see you doing any better.”

“Jeff, anybody ever tell you you're an asshole?”

Jeff rolled his eyes. “Only you, every single day of my life.”

Kyle left Jeff, knocking on his bedroom door, to clean up his own mess. Damn he hoped that wouldn't be the way it went with Laine, because one way or another, he was going to make love to her again.

  * * * *

Laine walked into Mama Vercelli's and searched the tables for Mel.

Mel waved her hand, signaling her over. “Hi, so what's going on? We only have Mama's lasagna and chocolate for emotional emergencies.”

Laine felt her face heat, and she looked down. “Ohmigod, you did the deed with the hot fireman huh? Did you wear the teddy? Oh, I bet he loved it, right? You have to tell me everything.”

God, what is it with my friends and wanting to know everything. I don't even know everything."

Mel's brows drew together, marring her perfect heart-shaped face. “Honey, you were there, how do you not know everything?”

  “We had an accident.”

The waiter came to the table, dropped off a basket of bread, took their orders and collected the menus.

Laine grabbed a breadstick, bit the end off and chewed slowly. She didn't know how to tell her best friend that the lollipop glow-in-the-dark condom might have made her a mommy. She giggled. It even sounded stupid to her.

  “What's s
o funny? If you don't tell me, I'll never return your Manolo Blahniks.”

  “You wouldn't dare.”

“You know I love those shoes, and I wouldn't mind owning them.” Mel said in a singsong voice.

“Fine, but I'm only trying to save my shoes. Kyle and I had,” she lowered her voice to a whisper and looked around, “we had sex three times and he ran out of condoms, so, we had to use one of my shower gag gift glow-in-the-dark condoms and it broke.”

“Damn.” Was Mel's opinion on the matter.

Laine sat back and took another bite of her breadstick, waiting patiently to order the largest chocolate dessert they had.

“Well, are you going to see him again?”

“Yes, he was the best I've ever had, right up until that lollipop glow-in-the-dark condom broke. Then he pretty much bolted. He did leave me his number though.”

“You should call him.” Mel pinched off a bite of her bread.

  “Why? Shouldn't he call me?”

“Did you give him your number?”

  “Crap!”

“So yeah, you should call him.” She pinched off another piece and tossed it in her mouth.

Laine put her breadstick down and wiped her mouth. “What on earth should I say?”

Melanie laughed. “Tell him you're on fire and you need him to put you out.”

“Not exactly what I had in mind.”

“No, but that's what he'll have in mind. I think you should go for it. At least one of us should be getting laid on a regular basis.”

Laine pulled his number from her purse and sat staring at it. Melanie snatched the paper, picked up Laine's phone and dialed. She held the phone out to Laine. “Just say whatever comes to you.”

Laine covered the mouth piece whispering to Mel, “It's just ringing.”
