She gave him a sheepish smile. “It's great, really.”
“You don't like it? I thought it would be perfect for little Kyle and maybe his little sister.”
“You want to have another one right after Kyle?”
He picked her up and spun her around. “I love you. I want to marry you and have as many babies as you want.”
“Did you just propose?” she asked as he set her down.
He dug in his pocket and pulled out an old silver band with a solitary half karat diamond set in the center of a cluster of smaller diamonds, took her hand in his and got down on one knee. “Laine Elizabeth Stanton-Peyton, will you marry me?”
Without hesitation, she said, “Yes, I'll marry you, but Kyle, I hate Minivans.”
He chuckled. “I told Jeff you were no Minivan.” He slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her.
