Brie was unable to help herself. Leaning closer to Jase, she whispered, “What’s that?”
“Quiet, sub,” Chaplin said in a low, threatening tone, his eyes on the device he was fiddling with. “You don’t speak in my gaff unless I say so. I’m also disappointed yer Doms haven’t taught ya how to present properly.” Brie wasn’t sure what a “gaff” was, but she assumed it meant his house, club, or maybe his office.
Beside her, Jordyn subtly tugged on Brie’s arm, then gracefully sank to her knees, shoulder width apart. The other woman had given her some pointers about presenting, but Brie was too nervous to remember what they were. Wide-eyed, she followed Jordyn’s lead and lowered herself to the floor, resting her ass on her heels, her upturned hands on her thighs. Studying the other woman’s posture, she lowered her chin until her gaze was on the floor directly in front of her. Her heart thumped hard in her chest, and her breathing increased. As if sensing her anxiety, Jase placed his hand on her head, stroking her hair gently in reassurance.
Seconds passed, before Chaplin sat in the leather executive chair and laid the black box on the desk. Its light was now a steady green. The Dom leaned back and eyed his guests in suspicion. “Now that the scrambler will keep anyone from intercepting our conversation, why are you really here, Carter?”
The spy crossed his arms over his massive chest and smirked. “Just what I said. We were in the area and figured we’d stop in and play for a bit.”
Chaplin’s frown deepened. “Don’t insult me intelligence. Tell me why you’re really here or leave. I don’t have time for yer bollocks.”
Silence fell once more and Brie wished she knew what Carter thought he was doing. Just ask about Nadine, damn it! From what she could see out of the corner of her eye, Chaplin and Carter were in a showdown. Their gazes were locked on the other’s, not wanting to be the first one to give in. Finally, the handsome American relented and nodded. “We’re looking for a friend. Apparently, she was spending time with a Dom who frequents your establishment.”
“Do this mystery Dom and submissive have names?”
“I’m sure he does, but unfortunately we haven’t learned it yet. Her name is Nadine. All we know is they were coming here this past Wednesday night and she hasn’t been seen since.”
Leaning his elbow on the chair’s arm Chaplin rubbed his index finger along his whiskered chin. “Hmm. Sorry to hear that.” Brie almost snorted because it sure didn’t sound like the man was sorry but she bit her tongue. “Regretfully, I wasn’t here on Wednesday, so I can’t say fer sure if yer friend was here. Have you got a picture of her? Maybe she was here another night.”
Stepping toward the desk, Jase pulled out the photo of Nadine from the back pocket of his leather pants. Brie had given it to him before they’d left the hotel. It was one of her favorite pictures of her sister, taken while she’d been relaxing in one of the hammocks just off of Daddy-O’s lanai. Jase handed it to the club owner.
“Beautiful lass,” he murmured, the lust in his voice hard to miss. While many people had told Brie she was pretty over the years, her sister was the stunner in the family, with her long, wavy, strawberry-blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and slender, yet curvy, size six figure. She could have any man eating out of her hands within minutes, which added to the confusion of why she’d been stripping. Nadine rarely lacked for male suitors willing to pay her tab wherever they went. She wasn’t a slut, not sleeping with a majority of them, but she did tend to use her looks to her advantage. “I assume this gorgeous, blonde submissive is her sister. They look very much alike.”
Brie dared a fleeting glance at the man, startled by his words. Not about her and her sister looking alike—there was a strong family resemblance between them—but at the word “gorgeous,” which had been purred even more so than the word “beautiful” when he’d been referring to Nadine. His eyes roamed her body with blatant desire that made her shiver in revulsion, but within seconds, he disappeared from her view as Jase stepped in front of her and growled at the other man. Brie’s mouth dropped. Sure, Jase had defended and protected her from drunk assholes who’d gotten out of line at Daddy-O’s before—her male employees, regular customers, and Jacob did too. But there was an aura of possessiveness rolling off him in waves right now that she’d never sensed from him before. What the hell was that about?
She thought back to the kiss they’d shared after she’d gotten dressed in her current club wear. It had been hotter than anything she’d ever experienced before, and that was saying a lot since Jase had a talent for sending her hormones into orbit with a single suggestive look in her direction. But now was not the time to analyze why that kiss had felt so different from the ones that had come before it. It was also not the time to be ogling his fine, tight, leather-covered ass, which was currently right in front of her face. If she leaned forward a few inches she could take a bite out it. Her mouth involuntarily watered ,and she wanted to beg him to turn around so she could see his impressive package bulging against the leather again. She’d been too nervous to fully appreciate the view earlier.
Even though she could no longer see Chaplin, she heard him snort and mentally kicked herself for forgetting why they were in Perdition to begin with. “Possessive bloke, isn’t he?”
Carter shrugged. “I don’t blame him. I’m sure if you found an incredibly beautiful submissive willing to put up with your shit, you’d be possessive too. But I doubt that will happen in this lifetime.”
“Bloody arse. All right then, feel free to enjoy my club while I ask my lot if anyone has seen the girl. Do not question anyone else. I don’t want my members being interrogated; it’s bad for business. I see you asking around, I’ll throw yer arses out the door. In fact, to keep you from being tempted, why don’t you entertain the masses with a scene or two?”
Even though it was said as a question, Brie knew it’d been an order and that the others knew it too. Shit. She’d never had sex in public before . . . well, there had been a few times when the threat of being discovered had been thrilling, but it had never actually happened. And now, she was in an illegal sex club, where there were no rules, and she and Jase were going to have to “entertain” the members with a sexual scene. Double shit.

HAPTER 9
H olding Brie’s hand, Jase followed Carter and Jordyn out of the British prick’s office and down the center hall to where the bar was set up. Even though the club was in an altered mansion, the original footprint had been kept. But instead of appliances, cabinets, counter tops, and a sink, the “kitchen” and “dining room” had been completely remodeled. A long bar ran along the back wall of the room, and the windows had been covered with the same dark paneling that was on the walls. Stools, pub tables, and sitting areas were scattered about. Carter had insisted they be able to relax and have a drink before “entertaining” the masses, and Master Taye had relented and allowed it, telling them they’d get their information on Nadine after they scened. Jase just hoped whatever they learned was worth the embarrassment Brie was sure to experience. For what felt like the hundredth time since they’d arrived about twenty-five minutes ago, he regretted having brought her. Yes, she was submissive in the bedroom, but he’d never once thought of bringing her to a club. While many people in the lifestyle were exhibitionists, he wasn’t one of them, preferring to play behind closed doors.
Taking a seat in a leather, wingback chair, Carter hailed a waitress wearing nothing but black, tasseled pasties on her tits, a thong, and two gold slave bracelets that were connected by chains to rings on her middle fingers. Jase took the seat next to his friend as Jordyn and Brie knelt on large pillows at their feet. It wasn’t anything Jase hadn’t experienced before in the clubs he’d been in while training, but tonight it felt different with Brie, and he wasn’t sure why. Reaching out, he stroked her hair as her gaze darted around the room. She was nervous as hell and it showed, but most newbies were uneasy no matter what club they found themselves in. He wished she could have some of t
he wine Carter ordered for her and Jordyn, but none of them would be having their drinks. They would be just for show. God forbid they were spiked with something.
After the waitress took their orders, Jase spread his knees and pulled Brie and her pillow between them. Leaning down, he whispered in her ear, “Better?”
She wrapped her trembling arm around one of his calves and gave him a tentative smile. “Yes, thank you.”
“My pleasure, baby.”
There wasn’t much play going on in this area, but the sounds of whips, paddles, and screams of pain and ecstasy from the other rooms filtered in over the music. It seemed as if the speakers were set lower in the bar, probably so people could converse without shouting. Carter leaned forward so both Brie and Jase could hear him. “Little one, I should have asked this earlier, but it didn’t occur to me until just now. Will you be more comfortable if Jordyn and I scene in another area where we can’t see you and you can’t see us? Or would you prefer for us to be near each other? I’m not sure what will be easier on you, since you’ll be seeing Jordyn and I after this evening is over.”
Jase was surprised he hadn’t thought about that either and was glad his friend was so experienced in the lifestyle he’d asked Brie the question. She glanced up at Jase and he put his hand on the back of her head and stroked her hair again. He’d never noticed before how much he enjoyed feeling the silky strands slide through his open fingers. “It’s up to you, sweetheart. Whatever you’re most comfortable with is fine with me.”
She returned her attention back to Carter and Jordyn. “I—I don’t know. I think as long as I know you’re not too far away in case something goes wrong, I’d prefer not to have to be embarrassed around you after this.”
Carter smiled. “That’s fine. Just remember, a lot of what you’re going to see here leans toward the extreme and possibly the taboo. This is a club most Doms I know would like to tear down. You may see things that shouldn’t be happening at all. Don’t think for a minute that Jase, Jordyn, or I condone everything that goes on in here.”
“O-Okay.”
Reaching over, Jordyn took Brie’s hand and squeezed it reassuringly. “You’ll be okay, Brie. Trust me when I say the first time scening in public can be nerve wracking, especially under these circumstances, but if you trust your Dom and concentrate on only him and what he’s doing, then I guarantee you’ll be amazed that you forgot about everyone else in the room. When I first found out Master Carter was in the lifestyle, I thought it meant he enjoyed abusing women, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Unfortunately, I didn’t know that and we lost many years because I didn’t confront him about it at the time.” The look she gave her Dom was one filled with love. “Thankfully, he proved me wrong.”
“I sure did.” Carter smirked and brought his hand up to cup her chin. “But if you think that little speech and doe-eyed look is going to get you out of the spanking you earned earlier, think again, my love.”
She sighed dramatically. “It was worth a shot.”
Standing, the Dom held out his hand. “Come, my sweet Jordy, let’s combine business with pleasure.”
Brie watched the other couple wander into one of the play areas. A few shivers went up and down her spine and she cuddled closer to Jase’s leg, unsure if they were from fear of the unknown or anticipation. During their playtime, he’d taught her that anticipation heightened her arousal and resulting orgasms. He’d taught her a lot of things these past few months, but, unfortunately, one of those things wasn’t how not to fall in love with him. She was worried if he figured out she now wanted more than what they’d originally negotiated, their time together would come to an end, and Jase would move on to someone else.
His hand dropped to her shoulder and squeezed before he leaned down and whispered near her ear. “We’re being watched, baby. Let’s walk around for a few minutes. You can observe some scenes while I decide the best way to make our own scene comfortable for you.”
Jase stood, helped her to her feet, and hung his duffel on his shoulder. Tucking her close to his side, he led her into the play areas. Brie kept telling herself everything would be okay. She didn’t know these people and would likely never see them again. Having been on topless beaches before with some friends, she was okay with being half naked, but this would be something beyond than that. This would be having her defenses stripped and people seeing her at her most vulnerable, at her most intimate moments with Jase. There’d been times when someone had almost walked in on them after hours at Daddy-O’s, and knowing they could have been caught had been thrilling. But this time, there would be no “almost getting caught,” people would be front and center watching them.
Letting Jase’s strength and warmth bolster her, Brie took a deep breath and let him lead her around. Her heart pounded in time to the pulsating music, which was mixed with the sounds of flesh and leather striking flesh, moans of pleasure, and ear-piercing shrieks that sent chills down her spine. The place had a “house of horrors” atmosphere and she couldn’t be sure if those in pain were enjoying it or not.
Jase stopped her at one scene where a submissive was strapped face down on a table and hot wax was being dropped between her shoulder blades. The woman’s back, ass, arms, and legs were already covered with the hardened white wax, and she was one of the people moaning in pleasure. Not far away, a man was lying in a claw-foot bathtub, and the woman standing and straddling his hips was peeing on him. Brie almost puked at that sight and was glad when Jase pulled her in another direction.
His mouth found her ear. “God, I hate body fluid play.”
She nodded in agreement. Another scene they found was a woman restrained to a spanking bench. Brie had seen the apparatus on the BDSM website Jase had told her to investigate when they’d first started playing together. There had been times he’d given her some erotic spanks, but never like what she was watching right now. The dark-skinned woman was completely naked and her Dom was using a leather paddle to redden her ass. Instead of turning Brie off, she found herself mesmerized by the couple’s scene. The woman’s exposed pussy and inner thighs were soaked with her arousal, and with each slap of the paddle, her moans and begging sounded like she was closing in on her climax.
The Dom paused and placed his wide-spread hand on her tender globes, holding in the heat. “Cherì mwen, ban m 'yon koulè,” he demanded of his sub in a thick, Haitian accent.
The woman glanced over her shoulder. Her eyes were filled with tears and lust. “Mwen vert, Mesye.”
Having two employees who spoke fluent Haitian Creole working for her for several years, Brie figured out the Dom had asked for “a color” and the sub had responded that she was “green.” Brie thought the woman’s last word had meant “Sir” but she wasn’t a hundred percent sure.
Pulling her in front of him, Jase wrapped his arms around her waist. She melted against his solid chest and abs, while the bulge in his pants pressed into the crack of her ass. The combination of sights, sounds, smells, and the feeling of Jase’s arms enveloping her and his pelvis rubbing against her had Brie’s juices flowing, and her desire increasing ten-fold. As she watched the sub orgasm at her Dom’s command, Brie wished Jase would slide his hand down between her legs and get her off too. Maybe this wouldn’t be as bad as she thought.
Jase rested his chin on her shoulder as one hand closed around her breast. “Like what you see, baby? I’d bet a million dollars that when I dip my fingers down your panties I’ll find you drenched. It seems I’ve found a scene that will have the results I want from you. Let’s go find an empty bench.”
Right now, I’d let him do anything that results in me getting off . . . within reason, of course, she thought as they passed a male submissive being caned across his ass to the point of drawing blood. Thank God Jase wasn’t into the more hard-core play.
When he found an empty station, Jase dropped his duffel and turned her to face him. He ran his hands up and down her arms, causing goosebumps to form and a tingling sensation to
run under her skin. Leaning forward, he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Just concentrate on me, what I’m doing to you, and how it makes you feel. There’s no one else here. It’s all an illusion. Understand?”
“Yes . . . I mean, yes, Sir.”
“Good girl. If you need me to stop at any point, just yell the word red.” When she nodded at him, his eyes narrowed. “Verbal answers, baby. Repeat what I said, so I know you heard me and understand what I said.”
“Sorry, Sir. If I need you to stop, I’ll yell the word red.”
Satisfied with her response, he bent over and unzipped the duffel, pulling out a black scarf. “Close your eyes. I don’t want you tempted to open them again. I want you to rely on your other senses.” When she followed his command, he stepped behind her, covered her eyes, and secured the scarf in a knot at the back of her head. “Are you green, sweetheart? Good to go?”
“Y-Yes, S-Sir.” She couldn’t stop the shiver that coursed through her, causing her to stutter.
Jase turned her again and cupped her chin. His lips brushed against hers and without conscious thought Brie’s mouth opened, inviting him in. She was disappointed when he pulled away. “Not yet, baby. Let me get a few things ready. I’m right here, not more than two feet away from you. No harm will come to you. Listen to the music. Let it flow through you.”
She sensed he’d stepped away, but she trusted that if she needed him, he’d be right there. Taking several deep breaths, she forced herself to use her other senses. The music was louder here than in the bar, and it vibrated through her bones. The scents of sex and citrus tickled her nose. Cool air brushed over her shoulders, probably from a nearby vent. The taste of Jase’s kiss lingered on her lips and her tongue darted out to savor it. Combined, all of that increased her anticipation of what was coming. She trusted Jase completely. Never in all the time she’d known him, especially since they’d started playing together, had he given her any reason not to trust him. Well, except for the whole thing about his real name. But what was in a name? It wasn’t what defined a person, that came from what was in their hearts and how they lived their lives. A name, like a person’s age, could be irrelevant.
