Drawing The Line (Mistaken Identity Series) Page 20

by Sylvia Hubbard

The words made her shudder and she slowly gave in to the promise, because she wanted to trust Paul. Obeying him, her senses heightened and she listened to everything around her. She could smell the difference between the men in the room and it was even more arousing knowing they were there for her and how handsome they both were. With her attraction for both of them evident, her thoughts made her breath catch in her throat.

  “Lay back, Shane,” Paul instructed.

Slowly laying back, expelling a long held breath, she tried her best to calm her racing heart. It wasn’t working, but she was very aware of her arousal gathering between her thighs.

Pressing her eyes closed tighter, she felt Paul part her robe and stroke her body to submission. He knew where to touch so she could experience the most arousing pleasure and she wanted more.

When she knew her body was primed she rolled slightly away from Paul's touch, to be face to face with Andrew, who lay on the other side of the bed so his long body could stretch to hers. Staring deep into his eyes, she saw the promise of pleasure. Taking note from his own teasing kisses earlier; she lightly brushed her soft lips against his, and then licked the bottom of his thick dark flesh colored lip from corner to corner. She didn't need the sweet pudding in order to do it right and gained pleasure from knowing how this stirred his passion.

This also gave her courage to take control remembering Paul’s words and move forward to press his shoulder down so that he lay on his back. When he tried to reach for her to take dominance, she pushed his hands above his head and nibble down on his bottom lip for his behavior.

He started to get the message by the third nibble to his neck that she wanted to be in charge and he was just supposed to lie there and trust her. This was very different for him. Shane could tell and her as well, but just knowing she was in charge of this gorgeous large giant of a man, made her senses soar. Remembering all the wonderful kisses Paul and Andrew had placed on her body, Shane was a perfect student as she placed similar kisses over Andrew darkly natural tanned skin. He strained to keep his hands above his head and to be still as she lowered to his chest, flickered her tongue across his lean washboard stomach, and then moved even lower to the crease of his waist and parted his legs.

Holding his thick member in her hands at the base, she could barely get her fingers around the entire velvety shaft. Her heart double palpitated in her chest at the exhilaration of knowing she had done this to him and the immense size of his manhood.

She had listened closely to Paul's words in the bathroom and carried out what she could only assume would bring pleasure in the end for Andrew, but as she leaned in to take her first taste of him, she could feel the taste buds tickling the roof of her mouth in anticipation.

The weird sensation of velvety softness against the tip of her tongue of his flesh, enticed her to take more of him into her mouth. By now, Andrew was clutching the pillows above his head and it seemed every muscle in his entire body was taunt waiting for her. She looked back at Paul, who only sat on the side of the bed watching quietly.

Paul gave her a nod that it was all right, but she couldn't believe it when Andrew was strained and looked as if he were in pain. With the gentlest touch, she cupped the two perfectly shaped orbs underneath the mammoth male weapon while still holding the base of him out of her way.

She gave into the temptation and drew the spheres into her mouth not believing how ever pliable his skin became, and upon licking them the skin reacted instantly becoming tighter.

Paul whispered instructions in her ear, and Shane wasted no time in drawing Andrew's main instrument in her mouth. Watching Andrew's responses was her favorite because he was so open and powerless as she took control of his manhood. The more pleasure she gave orally, the more his body seemed to give her his will. Power swelled in her chest as she enshrouded his manhood with wet suckling kisses paying attention closely to the tip. By the time she was done, he had swelled to full arousal and unable to go as far down her throat no matter what trick Paul had told her about.

It didn't matter, she knew at this point what was to come, but was confused about how to give Andrew back control. Moving up to his face, she gently cupped his cheeks and kissed him.

Andrew immediately got the message and in two seconds, Shane found herself in the arms of a man past controlling himself as he practically flipped her on her back and parted her legs. She braced herself partly terrified of what was to come next; praying Paul's promise of pleasure would come true.

With Andrew poised to drive into her, Paul firmly gripped his brother's shoulder, making Andrew realize what he was about to do. Andrew had been driven to a point where his control was lost, but Paul's touch had made him see that he was scaring Shane, though she tried to put up a brave front.

Looking down at her, Andrew saw what he knew Paul was also aware of. Her eyes were squeezed shut so tight, if she opened them, she would see stars; her fingers were gripping his shoulders, and her feet were pressed down in the soft featherbed. It took all his strength to control his need.

  "Shane," he whispered.

Shane relaxed her grip on his shoulders a little and hesitantly looked up at him. Those deep green mint eyes were glazed with passion and he was straining to speak. Sweat was building up on his forehead and she could tell he was borderline on delirium. Wiping the sweat from his brow, she waited for him to speak, which looked as if it took a great effort from him.

"If I could give you anything right now... what would you want?" he asked.

She was caught off guard by that question. Placing both hands on the side of his face, she drew his face close to hers. "You."

He frowned, not comprehending her answer.

Shane explained as her body relaxed under him. "Your strength, your power, your essence." Her hands lightly ran down his back feeling his firm rear and loving what she felt. Now that she wasn't so tense, she could relish in the loveliness of his excellent physique and was amazed at the control he could maintain from the power he had in him.

Andrew slowly planted the sweetest kisses to her warm soft lips. As their passion and ardor increased, he could feel her wrap her legs around his waist, arch her back and join their bodies together deeper.

Nothing in the world could compare to the magnificent sensation he felt as her womanhood enveloped him like a tight sheath, hot and wet, holding on to him until he was fully inside of her.

Never in his life had he wanted to watch as he moved inside of a woman, but Shane's body beckoned him, wanted him, craved and needed him to carry her to the pinnacle of ecstasy and as he felt her orgasm erupt around his man shaft, he too joined her in the pleasurable paradise.

Andrew’s desire for her increased ten fold and he was far from stopping. Paul’s teachings and encouragements had been right and Shane was truly the best woman for this experience. Andrew was going to be insatiable tonight. He intended to worship her, and revel in his new found experience, which felt so new to him.

Shane was quite possibly the most amazing woman he had ever met, he thought as she trembled under him, shuddered from his touch and yearned for his kisses. Andrew had a brand new respect for her. She was going to be his woman. She had promised herself to him and he would honor his brother’s wishes to make her happy. Not just because Paul wanted it, but because he wanted it too.

  Chapter 23

With it being Sunday morning, Shane had nothing to worry about with work and since she had not gone home in almost a week, she had nothing to worry about at home. Sitting up in the large white bed alone was a little shocking, yet somewhat depressing.

Neither Paul nor Andrew was present to greet her good morning, but the covers were neatly over her and somehow the bed had been partially made around her. Her robe was over a chair by the bed and the curtains were still closed from the night before.

Rolling on her back, she stretched her muscles and smiled to herself. No regrets. She didn't feel any regrets about what had happened last night.

  After their
first joining, Andrew and Shane had been voracious in their lovemaking. Paul interjected occasionally, but mostly he was like their mentor teaching the two new ways of pleasure. By their second time, Andrew was truly spent and Shane remembered being drawn into Paul's arms, while Andrew rested his head on her belly. She basked in the warmth of their closeness as she slept peacefully throughout the rest of the night into the late morning.

The doors to the bedroom quietly opened and Paul stood there with a very large tray of fruits and a salad. "Do you know what time it is, young lady?" he reprimanded with a smile on his face.

"It seems close to noon?" she guessed before a yawn escaped from her mouth.

He tsked, shaking his head and setting the tray on the bed. She immediately delved into the bowl on the tray and grabbed a succulent piece of watermelon, sitting up in bed.

"Where's Andrew?" she asked as blithely as possible.

Paul sat on the bed slightly. He was fully dressed looking as if he were preparing to go to work in a very nice shirt, necktie, and slacks. Shane almost felt like a slacker, but she deserved the rest she was giving herself.

"He had a meeting with the senator at nine and had to drive up to Lansing in order to get there on time. I took him back to the restaurant to pick up your vehicle," he answered.

Shane blushed, remembering she had left the company car in the parking lot. "Is that why you're dressed?"

"It's habit to get up for me," he said. "I made something light since it's past breakfast and lunch."

They began to eat together and she decided to inquire of Paul, "Did he say why he was meeting with the senator?"

"Of course," Paul said obviously. "Your evidence. He wanted to speak to the senator personally about it. Andrew and I thought it best to meet the senator face to face with that kind of information."

"Obviously the senator thinks highly of him to meet him on such short notice," she pointed out.

Paul purposely avoided eye contact with her.

"With Andrew being such a big campaign contributor, the senator probably knows him by first name," she assumed. "So Andrew told you about what I found?"

"Yes, and I think we need to be very careful about who we tell that information to."

Shane told how Jeremiah had helped, and was the only other person she had spoken to about this and agreed that no one else needed to be involved about this matter. "Jeremiah said the same thing. He believes everyone connected with that site has come up harmed in some kind of way."

"We're taking all the necessary precautions, Shane," he promised. "I didn't come all this way to get snubbed out by some corporate hit man."

She suspected Paul probably knew a lot more of what was going on in this Tyrex deal than she did, but she didn't want to press the subject.

"How do you feel?" he asked, changing the subject.

"Like I've been up all night having sex, but besides that, I feel good," she teased. When she took the last bite of her salad, she asked Paul, "Will Andrew and I have to..." She blushed to herself. "Would you want us to do that again?"

  "Do you think you could?"

Without hesitation, she nodded nonchalantly forcing herself not to think about what Rochelle had said about Andrew. "I could manage." Paul knew his brother better and she needed to stay focus. Fantasizing about something that was most likely impossible would only deter her from her career goals.

"Yes, I would like you to. As often as possible, but I don't think I need to be present all the time. I wanted you to make a time when you ovulated."

"To increase the chances of me getting pregnant?" she assumed.

Paul nodded, but she could tell that wasn't really on his mind.

"Well, I start in about a week and a half from now, so I should be about to begin. I'd have to look at a calendar to be sure," she said getting out of bed and wrapping the robe about her.

"Shane, why did you say that to him last night?" Paul asked rather abruptly.

She pretended she didn't know what he was speaking about by frowning and looking bewildered.

Paul gently pulled her to him, while leaning against the bed. "Shane, you know perfectly what I'm speaking about. Don't be evasive with me."

Shane sighed evasively. "I said the first thing that came to mind."

"Liar." He nudged her away and took the tray off the bed to place on a nearby table. "Don't fall in love with him Shane until you know he loves you too," he warned. "Andrew's my brother and I love him to death. I know he loves me too, but you must understand he's had a hard life. His mother didn't care too bits about him, and he's never had a positive influence with women. What he's doing now is only because he loves me and is devoted to me. This has nothing to do with any deep feelings towards you, do you understand what I'm saying?"

She nodded her comprehension, but she couldn’t help but to think back to what Rochelle had observed about Andrew. Was it possible that Andrew was so good at hiding his feelings that even his own brother didn’t know how he really felt about Shane or was she trying to convince herself that Andrew had feelings and Paul was right? Resolving that Paul most likely knew his brother better and longer than the nurse, Shane said, "He will never have true feelings of love toward any woman because he doesn't know how."

Paul looked deeply apprehensive. "Can you accept that?"

"I have no choice in the matter." She put on the perfect façade of nonchalance. "I think I can handle a non-emotional prick."

"Good, because that's what he's going to act like," Paul assured her. "Despite what happened physically last night, I can't control what he feels. I can't make him enjoy it... although... " His voice was hesitant.

  "What?" Shane insisted.

"He was rather uptight this morning. That always means he has a lot on his mind."

Not wanting to read too much into it, she surmised with a noncommittal shrug of her shoulder, "In his case, it could have been business or even gas for that matter."

Paul chuckled at her sense of humor and kissed her cheek. "I'll let you get dressed. The closet should have sufficient items for you."

Shane knew she could pretend to not have any feelings for Andrew, but last night had changed her a lot. She was very aware of the transformation emotionally towards Andrew, even if he wasn't around, and she knew it would be a challenge to ignore these feelings when she was at the office, but Shane had been an expert at hiding her feelings before. Treating this situation with Andrew like others would help her "draw the line" she needed in order to keep her sanity.

When Paul left the room, Shane checked out the closet to see that it was packed with clothing. The tags were still on the clothing and she was positive she had seen this clothing before somewhere. Kneeling down to look at the shoes, she saw a card lying in one of the shoes, which read, "Specially chosen by Uniquity Boutique." There was a store number and Shane would bet anything it would ring the store she had been at just yesterday.

These clothes had been especially bought for her, she was sure of it. Going over to the phone, she dialed the store and asked for Michelle.

The clerk said, "She's not in right now, but would you like to leave a message for her?"

Shane did so and disconnected. Someone had placed her clothes and purse by the balcony doors on a shelf. She heard her phone ringing and managed to dig it out her bag before the call went over to voicemail.

"Shane?" Evan asked. "Where are you?"

"I'm fine, what's wrong?" She immediately heard the distress in his voice.

Evan sobbed almost hysterically. "I'm at the hospital, Shane... it's Derrick. He's dying."

  Chapter 24

Paul allowed her to use his Cadillac EXT in order to get to the hospital. He didn't ask any questions, but ordered her to keep her phone close by and on at all times in case something came amiss.

Getting to Henry Ford Hospital, right near Detroit's New Center Area took little time since the hospital was near the interstate highway. The information clerk was helpful in giving Shane directions to
the Pediatric critical care ward, but Shane knew once she stepped toward the room, she was too late as she heard Trudy's cry of anguish.

Walking in the room, the doctors were calling the time of death. Trudy was sobbing in her mother's arms and Evan was staring out the window with his back to the room. Bud was not present.

Shane could feel the fierce glare of Bethany on her.

"So nice of you to join us, Shane," Bethany spat angrily.

"I came as soon as I could," Shane said and moved closer to them. The only reason she did so was to offer her sympathy to Trudy, yet when she touched Trudy's shoulder in comfort, Trudy rudely shoved her hand away.

"Don't touch me!" Trudy seethed near rage.

Shane understood Trudy's animosity. The cousins had never connected, yet Shane had been somewhat close to her nephews.

  "Where's Donald?" she asked.

Evan turned from the window as if just noticing that she had come in. He looked very distressed. With a week growth of stubble on his face, and his hair uncombed, Evan looked like a man who had not slept well in a couple of days.

Shane had to wonder if her staying away had been bad for Evan, but with what she suspected about him, she knew if she stayed around him, he could drag her down just like the Meadows were trying to do.

He came over to her and hugged her. "He's at home with Bud. We didn't want him to see this."

  "What happened?" she asked Evan.

"I don't know," he said, glancing back accusingly at Bethany. "All I know is that he has been ill for a while and tonight, Trudy calls me and tells me that Derrick's not breathing right. By the time I get over there, the ambulance was at the house and the paramedics were pumping the kid's chest trying to save his life."

Shane noted how passionate Evan seemed about the matter as if he should have been called before an ambulance, but Evan was just a friend of the family.

Turning to the bed, she saw the lifeless body of the child the staff was about to cover up. Derrick’s eyes were closed as if he were sleep.
