Maya read the description. “Genuine leather forced orgasm belt. Oh! She didn’t!”
Kendall let loose with an evil chuckle as he removed the other box and turned it so she could read the packaging. “The hell you say.”
It was a Hitachi Magic Wand. She pulled the fitted leather belt from its wrappings and held it up. The belt had buckles at the waist, and two adjustable straps that extended down between the legs, and more adjustable buckles at both hips. The belt was fitted with an opening at the apex of the thighs so that the head of the magic wand could be secured into the belt. With hands cuffed and restrained there would be no way out of that contraption until Kendall let her out.
“Thank you, Charlotte,” Maya said breathlessly, now certain it was going to be a long, wild night.
Maya giggled as Kendall started undoing the buckles and said in a groovy, suggestive voice, “And thank you, Mister Hitachi. Bow-chicka-wow-wow.”

“Maya, I’m so jealous right now,” Grace said as they walked up to the nondescript but clean-looking storefront in the old downtown district of Morehead. They’d just had lunch at Nikolai’s Café, and Maya was anxious to get started at their next destination, Desired Ink Body Art. Grace had wanted a tattoo since getting a look at the one on her hip.
“Having to wait until after the baby comes will give you time to design the right tattoo. You don’t want something generic that came out of a book, do you?”
Maya chuckled when Grace whined as she said, “No, but…”
“This will also give you a chance to see what it’s like to get a tattoo. You may change your mind.”
“Doubtful, but you’re right. Ethan said he would help with the art, and I do want it to be completely unique.”
They walked into the cool, dry air of the tattoo studio.
After confirming her appointment, Maya handed him her drawing, and they got started. The artist, Jim Durbin, pulled up a chair for Grace to sit in when she told him she was a writer and wanted to observe Maya getting a tattoo as research for a book. Jim took one look at Grace’s rounded abdomen, smiled, and pulled a surgical mask from a box on the counter. She hooked the mask behind her ears and settled quietly.
Maya got comfortable on his table and exposed her left hip.
He tucked drapes into the waistband of her yoga pants and said, “I don’t normally recommend including names on tattoos. I know we talked about this when you visited the shop last week, but are you sure you want to add names? You can always think it over and I can do them later, if you really want them.”
“Jim, I’m positive. I want you to add the names.”
He nodded. “If you’re sure.”
“One hundred percent sure.”
He sterilized the area and went to work. Jim embellished the existing tattoo, crafting a third rose. He deepened the shade of red on the existing roses then added swirling ribbons where the roses were bunched together. Jim replicated Maya’s design then tattooed the wording along the ribbons.
Maya settled in as he worked with the tools of his trade. She breathed through the rapid, microscopic pinpricks, gradually settling into a place where the pain was exceeded not by her will to ignore it, but by her excitement at the thought of how her men would respond to the new tattoo. By the time Jim was done, she was euphoric and “floaty,” as though she was in subspace.
“It’s perfect, Maya,” Grace said, as Jim cleaned the area and covered it.

“Couldn’t you just trust me to keep my eyes closed?” Maya asked later that afternoon as Richard tied the blindfold at the back of her head. They were seated in the backseat of Boone’s truck about to go she knew not where.
Boone chuckled and said, “Maya, the blindfold is sexy on you and you might as well get used to wearing one.”
“That’s right, babydoll,” Kendall said as he climbed into the truck. “We plan to have one on you regularly for playtime.”
She didn’t put it past them either. They were constantly surprising and amusing her. Just that morning, she’d caught them while they were in the bathroom brushing their teeth. They’d grinned at her with devilment in their eyes before going back to their daily hygiene ritual. Kendall lifted his toothbrush to her, and she laughed so hard she snorted. They were all brushing their teeth with the battery-operated toothbrushes they’d used as vibrators on her.
The month of May and the beginning of June had gone by quickly between her convalescence from her injuries and the guys finalizing the plans for the new house, for which they were breaking ground that weekend.
Ace and Kemp were still working the investigation into the Divine Morality blog with limited success. Maya prayed they would find the culprit soon because she could tell how much it troubled her men. They’d had several leads in the club and were still working to find the connection. They had their hands full with the attacks that kept occurring at Discretion which was disquieting for all the men. Kemp and Ace were devoting part of their time to watching over the ladies, which Maya didn’t think they minded very much. Summer seemed pleased about it, too.
They journeyed down the drive and turned onto the state highway. Her excitement rose as she realized they headed in the direction of the JWB.
Finally, the truck slowed, turned, and pulled to a stop. She heard murmurs, and then gentle hands released the blindfold as Kendall spoke. “This is the first surprise.”
Maya blinked and opened her eyes, squinting them as they adjusted to the bright afternoon sun. All three men gazed at her, and she smiled then looked around, wondering where the surprise was. Boone pointed out the windshield. She leaned forward slightly and gasped.
“You changed the name!”
They had taken the old ranch emblem down from the pipe arch entry, which had been the JWB brand logo with a circle around it. In its place was the new brand, MWTD, within an oval. Welded to the pipe underneath was the name of the ranch spelled out, “Maya Warner’s Triple Dare.”
“Oh, my God,” she whispered in a rush.
With one voice, they spoke quietly, their hearts in their eyes. “Marry us, Maya.”
Maya’s heart was bursting with love for them as she replied, “Take me down to the creek, and I’ll give you my answer.”
The men grinned and looked curiously at her when she didn’t say more. They parked at the homesite, which had been completely bulldozed and cleared of all debris. All that remained was bare dirt where the footprint of the house had been, in preparation to start the new house that weekend. Boone parked the truck and helped her down while Kendall and Richard gathered the blanket and the picnic basket. They had packed a romantic picnic supper and had even brought along a bottle of wine.
Laughing playfully, she allowed Boone to talk her into taking a piggyback ride for part of the walk to the creek. She waited patiently until after the blanket was spread in their secret little spot and then said, “I want to take advantage of the lovely evening and the privacy down here by eating naked. Anyone interested?”
Maya chuckled as her sexy, handsome lovers doffed their clothing with speed and agility. They were naked and seated in a semicircle around her before she even got started disrobing.
She bit her bottom lip as she gazed at them. Their eyes were on her, waiting, and her heart lurched at the love she saw there. Slowly she removed her shirt and bra and gave Richard a crooked little grin when he groaned appreciatively. He made her feel so beautiful. They all did.
“I want to show you something. Then I’ll give you the answer to your proposal.”
“Babydoll, if you need more time—” Kendall began, but she brushed a fingertip against his lips and shushed him sweetly.
Carefully, she shimmied out of her soft yoga pants and thong together, careful to keep her hip away from their view as much as possible. She tossed the garments aside and then gingerly peeled back the plastic wrap taped over her hip. She looked over her shoulder and giggled when she caught them staring at her ass.
&
nbsp; “I did something special for the three of you, and I hope you like it.”
When she had their full attention, she turned so they could see her left hip. All three men gasped.
“Maya!”
“What does it say?”
“I’ll be damned!”
On her hip, written on the ribbons festooning the three red roses, were the words “Dare to Live” and then each of her men’s names.
She smiled at the surprise, approval, and awe on their faces and answered their earlier proposal. “Of course I’ll marry you.”

Chapter One
Never again.
A lump of disappointment swelled in her throat as Summer Heston did her best to smile at her blind date, knowing this one was a dud, too. Grace Warner and Rachel Wolf had talked her into a blind date with a new coworker of Rachel’s. It had taken both of them to convince her, and now she wished she’d trusted her instincts. She glanced across the table and caught Grace’s apologetic grimace. Everyone had “off” nights, even Grace. The good Lord knew Summer understood that. She was having an “off” decade.
This time I’ve learned my lesson.
At least this guy wasn’t as insulting as that jerk Kent Hargrove had been the weekend before. Kent had been rude and belittling to her until Jack Warner had rescued her by inviting her onto the dance floor. Kent had been gone when she’d returned. No, this guy didn’t speak to her as though she were an ignorant child. He just flat-out ignored her.
After arriving for their blind date at The Dancing Pony, Taylor Vance had taken one look at Summer when Grace and Rachel had introduced them, and the disappointment had been clear in his eyes and his body language. He’d made polite conversation with her, fiddled with his phone a couple of times, and then one of his wingmen had conveniently shown up. They’d been involved in a conversation about work from that point on. Unless she spoke directly to him he seemed content to pretend she wasn’t there.
Never again. It’s not worth it.
Summer had a feeling she’d just hit bottom in the dating world. She felt bad for Grace, who sat there with an expression that alternated between embarrassment and disgust. Even Grace’s normally stellar instincts as a matchmaker couldn’t hook her up with a winner.
Grace leaned over to Summer while Taylor continued his discussion with his friend and said, “I’m so sorry, Summer. He seemed like such a nice guy when I met him in Rachel’s office. I thought you would hit it off. I saw the way he looked you over like he was disappointed. It was rude of him and stupid of me to misjudge him. Can you forgive me?”
Summer smiled and waved a hand dismissively. She could get through this night, no problem. “At least he’s not verbally insulting me. We didn’t click. Some men just don’t care for curvy women.”
I’m never doing this to myself again.
“Not even beautiful, vivacious, and clever, curvy women,” Grace said, frowning at Taylor’s back. Summer couldn’t decide who Grace was more disgusted with, herself or Taylor.
The intro for “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” began to play, and Grace’s face brightened up considerably. Summer grinned as Ethan helped his pregnant wife from his lap then kissed her before she walked to the dance floor. Many others left their tables, including Rosemary, Corina, Bernadette, Juliana, Teresa.
Maya was still recuperating at home, having just been released from the hospital a few days before. Her men, Kendall, Boone, and Richard Warner, were understandably protective of her after she’d been shot by her deceased husband’s business partner. It had recently been discovered that he had also been accused of murdering her husband.
Summer turned to Taylor to let him know she was off to dance also, but he was so caught up in his conversation he didn’t even notice as she slipped from her chair. She decided to leave him alone.
As they walked together, Rachel asked, “Want to bet on which of the guys is going to take Taylor’s head off for ignoring you like that?”
“Oh, no.” Summer turned to look over at their table, but couldn’t see as the club was too crowded.
“I don’t want any drama tonight. I wish they’d just let this date fizzle out without saying anything.”
“I can’t promise you that. The guys don’t take kindly to seeing their women mistreated, and I can promise you that they take his behavior as an insult to you. He should have better manners.”
Summer glanced again at the table.
“Stop worrying about him and let’s have some fun,” Grace called as they joined the others on the packed dance floor.
The evening couldn’t get any worse, so Summer decided to let her hair down and have fun wherever it found her. Taylor bought into the “stick thin is beautiful” stereotype, and that was his loss. Summer knew what she’d looked like tonight in her silky turquoise dress when she’d stood in front of the mirror. She was going to enjoy herself. How much did she really value his opinion? She hardly even knew the man.
No more blind dates ever again.
The pounding beat pulsed in her blood, and she moved with the music. Away from Taylor, her self-confidence returned. It wasn’t like she’d been hoping for a commitment. But it sure would be nice to be the object of someone’s adoration for a change. She smiled softly at Grace’s pregnant, but undeniably sexy, grinding moves and got into the dance.
* * * *
Ace Webster sat still in his chair, his gaze focused on the beautiful blonde on the dance floor. Her perfectly voluptuous body undulated with a flawless rhythm to the beat of the music, and he wasn’t a bit surprised when his cock hardened in response to her glorious display.
Ace’s business partner, Kemp Whittier, sounded a bit strained from where he sat next to Ace. “Tell me again why we’re not over there getting to know her better?”
Ace chuckled, sympathizing with Kemp. The woman they watched was all kinds of beautiful, but they were focused on a job tonight, doing a favor for friends who needed their help. He relaxed in his seat, casually surveying the crowd. Watching her.
He was vigilant for onlookers using a handheld recording device. The video posted on the Divine Morality blog appeared to have been made on a cell phone or small camcorder as the recording was zoomed in at times on one of the girls then zoomed out to capture a group. The subjects were always centered in the shots as though the person shooting the image was watching on a screen or through a viewfinder rather than merely aiming a spycam.
He scanned the approximate area from which the last two clips were shot, hoping the person doing the recording favored routine. They’d been watchful the weekend before and had actually followed a suspect home, but the lead had turned up no connection when Duke checked into it. The only good thing to come out of last weekend’s stakeout had been seeing Summer dance for the
first time. Unfortunately, by the time they’d returned to the club, she was being escorted out to her car by Eli Wolf.
Kemp now sat with him at their table, alert but relaxed as he sipped his drink casually and murmured, “Damn, she’s beautiful.”
His appreciative tone of voice spoke volumes to Ace, and he didn’t bother to hide his grin. Kemp hadn’t shown interest in a woman in ages. Getting laid was one thing, but Ace couldn’t remember the last time Kemp had been involved with a woman for more than a night or two.
Kemp had liked Kathleen Stevens when they’d met two years before, but she and Ace had already been dating for a while. Ace had asked him if there was an interest in a threesome. Kemp had told him he could tell that what Ace felt for her was real and he didn’t want to interfere with what Ace had with her by bringing up the notion. Not that Ace’s feelings had mattered much in the end.
Kathleen had come to Ace’s house one day in a very emotional state a few months after they’d started dating and had told him that she needed to leave the area. He’d never gotten a good explanation from her, then or later. He’d missed her for weeks afterward but hadn’t heard from her since.
As a private investigator, he could’ve discovered her whereabouts at any time but figured that if Kathleen didn’t want to share her reasons for leaving he should respect that. It had hurt like hell, and a number of times he’d almost gone after her. She’d assured him she was doing the right thing and hoped he would forgive her but made no promises she’d ever return to him. Eventually, he’d moved on with his life.
Once again, Ace’s eyes were drawn to Summer. A man would have to be dead not to be turned on by that incredibly beautiful woman. She was a gorgeous, curvy armful of woman, and the thought of holding her to him made his dick harden even more. She had an hourglass figure with full breasts, a lithe waist that his hands itched to span, and rounded hips. He groaned as he imagined staring into her eyes while he sank balls-deep inside her. Her eyes sparkled as she danced right now, and Ace wondered what color they were.
