“Better?” he asked as he shifted under her and she sank deeper into his side.

“Yeah. I don’t mean to be so…stiff with you.”

Clayton was thinking she wasn’t the only thing stiff, and she chose that moment to look in his eyes, evidently realizing the dual meaning her words could have. Clayton smiled and a chuckle rose from his chest. “Wish I could say the same thing, but it would be a lie.”

Color rose in her cheeks, and she burst into laughter. They lay there laughing until Lydia finally said, “Oh, I needed that. I’m sorry. Should I get off?”

Clayton rolled his eyes and groaned. “You’re killing me!” They laughed again, and it was a nice feeling. He was definitely hard and getting harder by the second with her sexy body pressed against him, but he was glad that she felt more comfortable. He set his beer on the side table. She looked up at him, and he tilted her chin farther up and kissed her lips. He took her beer from her and blindly placed it with his.

A sexy groan came from her, reminiscent of the provocative sounds he’d heard while she was in her bathtub on her first night at the ranch, and his cock pulsed with excitement. Her dark lashes fanned down against her cheeks, and he stroked her jaw. Lydia’s skin was like satin under his fingertips. She slid her left hand upward until her fingers traced through the hair at his nape. Her lips and silky tongue played against his own as she stroked the back of his head.

Having her curled up in his arms in such a relaxed setting felt so good. It seemed right and natural when his hand strayed to her ass, then gently slid down the back of her thigh and pulled up so it was pressed over his throbbing erection.

She slid her hand back down his chest to his abdomen and seemed to melt in his arms. They kissed for several minutes, and he became concerned that she was straining her neck. Shifting slightly to his left side, he gave her a little room so she could move into a more comfortable position.

The timer on the stove signaling seven o’clock went off just as she rose up on her right elbow to get a little leverage. Unfortunately, when she did that it triggered the recline mechanism in the chair and it flattened out beneath them.

  “Whoa-oa!”

What happened next was like something out of a cartoon. Because her weight was on her elbow, she was knocked off balance and fell forward and flopped onto him, straddling him. Her momentum caused the chair to tip over onto the tile floor as Chance and the ranch hands filed in through the back door.

  “Ah—”

Her panicked cry was muffled by a mouthful of recliner, and his surprised exclamation was stifled by her glorious, full breasts.

From Clayton’s perspective it was all good and he put his arms around her, now that the room had stopped spinning. Lydia finally achieved her leverage and lifted off of him.

Chance walked up with a grin on his face. “Technical difficulties?” he asked, as the ranch hands followed him into the family room.

Clayton chuckled and said, “We were testing gravity and the laws of physics and got carried away.” He carefully assisted Lydia, who was scrambling to recover her dignity, her pretty cheeks aflame. He rolled out of the chair behind her, and Chance righted it and then kissed Lydia’s forehead. Clayton knew it was probably a little uncomfortable for her to be caught in such a position by Chance and their ranch hands.

She smiled up at him and seemed to come to some sort of decision as she smiled at the guys and rubbed her hands together. Acting as though nothing had happened, she announced, “Give me two minutes, gentlemen. Wash up and take your seats.” The men wandered into the kitchen, and she gave Clayton a quick hug and whispered, “I’m sorry we ran out of time.”

Clayton chuckled and said, “Me, too. Sorry about the near-catapult, too. I’m glad you didn’t hurt yourself.”

Lydia blushed again and chuckled. “Just my dignity, but I’m okay otherwise.” She released him and turned to his brother and received his kiss. “Hi, handsome. Are you hungry?”

  “You have no idea, baby.”

“Well, I have something for you to eat,” Lydia said, her eyes twinkling.

Chance grabbed her and squeezed until she giggled and then growled in her ear so only the three of them could hear, “And I’m starving for you, baby.”

  * * * *

Lydia’s knees wobbled a bit as she rose from her chair at the dinner table. The evening meal had been pleasant and the men were complimentary about the enchiladas and the caramel flan she’d prepared for dessert. She’d maintained her composure by the thinnest of threads.

Chance and Clayton had silently mounted a campaign of seduction over the course of the meal. Chance had insisted that Lydia sit at the head of the table which placed her between them, and within easy reach of their hands under the table.

As conversation flowed throughout the meal, they’d stroked her hands whenever she rested them on the table. Their eyes had been warm as though they wanted to kiss her right then and there. Beneath the table their intentions were more fully revealed.

Shivers had swept up and down her back and spread to her arms and legs as they’d both stroked her knees and gradually worked their way up and down her thighs. She’d had to stifle a whimper when they’d leaned in to share a story with her about the ranch, as their hands had caressed her inner thighs.

Trying to appear relaxed and interested in the conversation had been difficult as they’d systematically fondled her to a state of needy arousal. Her pussy had been throbbing for several minutes when Chance had squeezed her upper thigh gently then backed off. Nerve endings all over her body cried out for him to keep touching her somewhere. At the same time Clayton had sat back in his chair as the meal had drawn to its conclusion.

The men had all carried their plates to the kitchen as the three of them finished their coffee. After thanking her and bidding her good night, the men had all left. As soon as the door closed behind the last of them, Chance had leaned forward and kissed her. Her body felt languid as she responded to him and to Clayton’s touch as he stroked her back. This was it.

  Chapter Eighteen

Chance seemed breathless and a little flushed himself as he drew back to look in her eyes. “We want you, baby. You seem ready to take what’s between us to the next level.”

Her voice was a shaky whisper. “I am.”

Clayton placed his palm over the top of her hand. “Are you on birth control, Lydi?”

“I’m on the pill. I have been for a long time.” The anticipation was driving her to distraction and she asked her next question without hesitating. “When was the last time you were with a woman?”

Chance responded easily. “A little over a year. I’ve had a doctor’s exam since then and I’m clean. I always use condoms and we’ll use them with you if you want.”

Clayton hesitated but then replied, “Five months and I’ve been seen by a doctor since, as well. My labs were all clear. I hate condoms, but I’ll use them with you if you really want me to.” Left unspoken was the obvious statement that Clayton would prefer bareback. She couldn’t find fault with that and appreciated the fact that he knew what he wanted.

“You haven’t been with any women in the interim, since your doctor’s appointments?”

They both shook their heads, and Chance replied, “Too busy.” Chance went in the office and returned a few seconds later and handed her paperwork. It must have occurred to him that she might like to see the proof because he’d already had it handy.

Their willingness to use condoms, despite having proof of their excellent health, meant a great deal to her. What would it feel like to go without? In the years since she’d become sexually active in her early twenties, she’d always used condoms and didn’t know what it was like to go without. Being on the pill hadn’t kept her from protecting herself in every way she could, but the sexual relationships she’d been involved in hadn’t lasted and now she was glad. Finally, she’d found somebody—two somebodies—with whom she wanted to experience sex without barriers.

  C
oming to a decision, Lydia said, “No condoms.”

Chance smiled but said, “You sure, baby? We don’t mind.”

She replied, “Since I can’t provide proof of my good health, if you want to use them I don’t mind.”

Clayton frowned and shook his head. “We believe you, Lydia. If you say you’re clean, we know you well enough to trust you. How long has it been for you?”

Heat filled her cheeks because she didn’t want to be reminded of the loser she’d dated during her time in Austin. After catching him cheating on her in his car with one of her classmates she’d broken it off and gone straight to a clinic to be checked and tested for STDs. She’d sworn off men for the rest of her time in Austin and had been too busy with school and then work after she’d moved to Fort Stockton. “About two years.”

Chance and Clayton both seemed a little surprised but also pleased.

“Will you both make love to me tonight?” she asked, wanting to move forward from the memory of that betrayal into something more positive.

Clayton replied, “Gladly, Lydi.” He closed his eyes for a few seconds and loosed a relieved-sounding sigh.

Lydia looked from one pair of intense blue eyes to another, deriving a completely distinct sensation from each very different man. She could see it in their eyes. Chance was going to make gentle, passionate love to her until she exploded from the pleasure of it. Clayton would tease her and fuck her until she begged him to let her come, she’d be willing to bet money on it. They needed to know something about her first.

“Guys, I need for you to know that although I am by no means a virgin, I don’t have a lot of experience. I’ve been burned once or twice, so I’m not one to drop my panties easily. I don’t want you to be disappointed by finding that out in the heat of the moment.”

Chance said, “Baby, I’m glad you said something. We’ll take it slow. You’ve got nothing to worry about.”

“As gentle as you are with me, Chance, I wasn’t worried. I just felt that you should know. You can both teach me what you like. I almost embarrassed the three of us tonight, enjoying the way the two of you work in tandem.”

Chance chuckled as he stroked her shoulder and caressed her hair. “Baby, we haven’t even gotten started yet. That was just a warm-up.” He kissed her forehead, and his simple touch was profoundly comforting. Her heart pounded, but not with nervousness. He communicated his love with that touch and her body echoed it back to him.

A smile spread slowly across Lydia’s lips. “Well, you definitely warmed me up.”

Clayton drew near and kissed her throat as he stroked her lower back in a way that sent tendrils of heat surging to her erogenous zones. “Why don’t you go upstairs and relax for a few minutes. We’ll take care of the kitchen for you.”

“Thank you. I’ll be in the shower,” she murmured as she slid her chair back.

Her knees still wobbled slightly as she pushed her chair back in to the table. Their gazes swept over her, and she felt them as though they’d touched her. Chance and Clayton stood and began clearing the table, and she turned to leave the room. Thankfully, her weak legs carried her up the stairs and into her bedroom.

She gazed in the mirror as she slipped out of her clothing, hyperaware of the throb in her nipples and her clit. She was about to be made love to by two very virile, experienced men.

When the shower was hot enough she stepped inside and washed her hair and bathed quickly. When she shut off the water in the bathroom, she heard their deep voices as they conversed in her bedroom.

Chance asked, “Is your phone shut off? I don’t want any distractions.”

Clayton responded, “Yeah. It’s off and sitting on my nightstand.”

“Good, because I wouldn’t care if the ranch and the house fell down around our ears tonight. We’ve been interrupted every time.”

Lydia smiled, glad that they were just as weary of all the interruptions as she was. After drying off, she blotted the water from her hair. She brushed her teeth, slipped into the silky cover-up she had hanging behind the bathroom door, and flipped off the light switch. She stood in the dark, listening to the pounding of her heart in her ears as her eyes adjusted. Shadows flickered in the bedroom and she realized they had lit candles.

Standing in the bathroom doorway, she took in the scene of seduction. The bed linens were turned down, and Chance and Clayton both lay nude on the bed with a space between them meant for her. Their tanned bodies were a sharp contrast to the cool, white sheets on the bed. Silvery moonlight filtered in through the lace curtains on the windows.

“You okay, baby?” Chance asked as he sat up and walked over to her. “Nervous?” he whispered so only she could hear.

Her throat trembled as she swallowed and replied, “No. I’m not nervous. I want to remember everything about this night and this moment. I can’t believe I’m here and that this is going to happen. You both want me and you’re willing to share me. I’m wrapping my mind around that.”

Chance kissed her with a tenderness that made the butterflies churn in her stomach. Her heart swelled with love for him. His rough hands caressed the sides of her throat, and she gasped breathlessly as his fingertips slid slowly to her shoulders and down her arms. Every cell in her body was aware of his touch.

Chance’s broad, muscled chest was hot beneath her palms as she stroked her fingers through his chest hair. Her tummy fluttered as he moved his hands to her waist and continued his caress down to her hips. He seemed to be taking his time as though he, too, was memorizing the moment and the feel of her under his hands. He was gentle as he stroked the upper swell of her ass and her lower back until her hips flexed involuntarily with arousal.

Hearing movement beside her, Lydia’s gaze was drawn to Clayton’s sensual eyes as he smiled and then kissed her shoulder. Her eyes had adjusted fully to the dim glow of the candles, and the stealthy languor flowing through her body made her bold as she looked them both over.

“You are both built so strong and big. I feel tiny compared to you. I’m a lucky girl.”

Clayton slid the cover-up from her and pressed a line of kisses along her shoulder that made her shudder lightly and murmured, “We’re the lucky ones, Lydi. You’re breathtaking.”

Clayton’s words made her blush because she doubted that about herself, but the heady, powerful knowledge that he believed it made her feel sexy and daring.

Chance kissed her again and drew close, rubbing his hardened cock against her abdomen. He groaned when she pressed back. Clayton took his position behind her and brushed her hair to the side and continued captivating her with his warm kisses on her neck. A tremble swept through her as he drew his fingertips down her spine and then stroked her hip bones and trailed his fingertips lightly over the tops of her thighs.

Her pussy clenched when he caressed close to her mound, and her clit responded with a strong pulsing sensation. Clayton growled as he pressed his rock-hard shaft against the cleft of her ass. She rubbed against him, which applied friction to Chance’s cock as well, and he echoed his brother’s sound.

Clayton said, “Come to bed, Lydi.”

She hoped this was the first of many times she heard Clayton’s deep, sensual voice whisper those words. His tone was thick with desire, and she couldn’t help but follow him as he led her to the bed.

They helped her to the spot in the middle, and she laid her head on the pillow they’d placed there for her. They both crouched there, on either side just staring at her. The way they looked at her made her feel as though they could see right through to her soul.

  “What is it?”

“You’re beautiful in the moonlight, baby,” Chance replied softly.

She gulped and willed herself to not cry at his heartfelt words as she caressed his chin and then shifted her gaze to Clayton. He placed a hand on her abdomen and leaned forward until his face was close to hers. The vulnerability in his eyes was visible in the glow from the window, and his smile was tender as he said, “I love you, Lydi.”

Biting her lip, she reached up to him and drew him the remaining distance for a kiss. She didn’t want any more casual flings in her life, and his declaration was a step in the right direction. He explored her mouth with his tongue, tilting his head to deepen the kiss as his fingers began a slow descent down her abdomen to her pussy.

Blindly, she reached for Chance and felt his lips on the top of her hand as he clasped his fingers with hers and began laying kisses along her wrist and inner forearm. She moaned against Clayton’s lips when Chance’s hot, wet mouth descended on her breast and he began lapping at her nipple, taking it between his lips and flicking it with the tip of his tongue before lapping some more.

Tension grew hard and hot in her body as Clayton slid a couple of fingers between her slick pussy lips and stroked her drenched, throbbing flesh. She was almost embarrassed by how close she already was to orgasm, just from reacting to their words and tender touches.

“What a sweet, hot little pussy,” Clayton whispered against her lips. He dragged his fingertips in lazy circles around her clit, and she cried out as her pussy clenched almost painfully and she came just from his first strokes.

“Good, baby. Come for us,” Chance whispered in a shaky-sounding voice. She was astounded at how easily and explosively her body responded to their touch. She’d never been brought to orgasm with just foreplay, but they’d proved they were gifted in that department.

Clayton didn’t back off until the last wave of her orgasm had washed over her. They lay back on either side of her and allowed her a chance to catch her breath, but they never stopped touching her. Just as they had done at the dinner table, they worked in tandem, sweeping caresses from her collarbone to her breasts and her hips and beyond.

They avoided touching her pussy for the moment and seemed to focus their attention on soothing her as she recovered.
