“No. He loves you. I know that. That’s why I know he didn’t hear our whole conversation. If he had, he’d still be in bed.” Damon shook his head. This whole thing had just started and already there were problems. He really wanted to fix this, but he had no idea where to begin.

“I love him, too. I should’ve said something sooner.” She groaned and headed for the stairs. Damon followed her, wondering what she was going to do. She looked through Nicholas’s closet and grabbed a T-shirt and a pair of sweats. Using quick, rapid movements, she got dressed.

“What’s the plan?” she asked him, and Damon moved and started getting dressed not knowing what to say.

“You have one, right?” she asked. He racked his brain, trying to think of something. She always turned to him, and he had no idea. He decided to give her a few options.

“There’re a few things we can do. One, stay here and wait. Maybe he’ll come back.” She shook her head no. “Okay. Two, go to the hotel, to his suite, and talk to him.” She cringed a little, and he knew why. It was three in the morning, and if they showed up there, people would talk. “Three…we go home and wait a few hours. Get some sleep and then try to find him.”

“We need to go to him. I guess we’ll know soon enough if this will work. I won’t be able to sleep. I need to talk to him now.” She grabbed her shoes, and even though they were heels and she was wearing sweats, she still looked cute. They headed down the stairs and went to the car. This was it. He could feel it, and he wasn’t exactly sure what the outcome would be.

  Chapter 11

Selene was shaking, her stomach rolling, and she could barely sit straight in the seat as they drove toward the Olympus. She had no idea what Nicholas had heard. She was upset that he had left without talking to her, without even letting them explain. It made sense now, when he had first grabbed her and threw her on the bed. He didn’t seem like himself, but everything he did excited her. He had been so alpha, so perfect and so utterly demanding. Thinking about it now had her squirming. She missed him.

She looked over at Damon. He drove through the twisting road quickly, and she knew he was irritated.

“Are you upset with me?” she asked him. She was prepared for either answer, ready to do whatever he thought was best. The last thing she wanted was to have issues with him as well.

“No. The situation. I really thought everything would work out. Nicholas told me that the only way this would work is if we talked and were honest with each other. I can’t believe he ran away without even confronting the situation, without even being honest with us.” He shook his head, and she understood what he meant. The initial idea of a ménage was Nicholas’s idea, and it seemed strange that he wouldn’t fight for it, that instead he would run away.

“We’ll talk to him,” she said. They would talk to Nicholas, and either they would try to move forward or they would need to end things. She really didn’t want that to happen, though. She wanted them to be able to get back on track.

As they drove down the main strip, she grew more anxious by the minute. She wasn’t really dressed for the occasion. She looked down at herself and knew what other people would see. She looked ridiculous wearing a pair of baggy sweats and a T-shirt. Of course, she also had a great pair of black strappy heels. Yep, the perfect outfit for confronting a lover. She shook her head, wishing she could go home and confront Nicholas dressed a little sexier.

“How are we going to get to his suite without making a huge scene? We can’t just go to the front desk and ask for a key.” She turned in her seat so that she was facing Damon instead of staring at the window.

“I’ll go to the employee locker room and grab my set of keys. When we get inside, go and wait for me by the elevators.” Damon pulled the car around front and parked near the side entrance. He probably realized that all the employees would recognize Nicholas’s car and wouldn’t bother moving it even though they had parked illegally.

She got out of the car and looked around, hoping that if she spotted anyone she knew, they wouldn’t notice her. She nodded toward Damon and headed directly to the elevators. She hid behind a large, white column near the elevators waiting for Damon. Luckily, most of the employees walking around wouldn’t notice her. She never usually worked during the wee hours of the morning. She yawned and leaned against the pillar, fighting her eyelids from closing.

She was so tired. She laid her head back and stared at the ceiling, the mixture of gold and white completed the image that people were on Mt. Olympus. The place was completely decadent and beautiful. She had only been inside the actual hotel a couple times. Skin Deep Ink was inside the casino, so she rarely was able to enjoy how great this place really was.

She saw Damon walking quickly toward her, smiling and knew he had gotten the keys he needed for them to get access to the private suites. He grabbed her hand, and Damon slid in a key card to one of the elevators. The doors slid open, and they jumped in, hiding so that people walking by wouldn’t spot them. Selene was a little scared. Her palms were sweating, and she worried that this might not have been the best idea.

“This isn’t a good idea. Maybe we should just go home.” She paced around the small space and the elevator quickly rushed up to the top floor. Each muted ding reminded her that they were getting closer to their destination.

“We’re already here.” Damon told her, stopping her progress to the other side of the small box. The elevator stopped, and the doors opened. They walked together down the small hallway to a large, white door with gold accents. The door itself looked intimidating. They stood outside the door, in the hallway, and didn’t speak for a couple minutes. She could only hear them breathing, and she wondered how much time they had before they would be caught.

“I changed my mind.” She whispered the words and turned around, trying to get around Damon’s huge body, but he blocked her. He crossed his arms over his chest, and she knew that he wouldn’t let her drop it that easily.

“Maybe he left because he changed his mind. We came all the way here and now what…I’m supposed to get rejected? I don’t think so. This was a bad idea. The night was great, and I don’t regret anything, but the three of us…I don’t think that’s a forever kind of thing.” She knew that it was fear talking, that she really did have feelings for Nicholas, but she couldn’t face him or the situation.

Damon grabbed her arm and moved her to the side. Using the key, he swiped the card across the electronic box, and the light flashed green. She tried to pull away, to yank her arm free, but she couldn’t break his hold. Damon moved, turned the handle, and pushed the door open. There was a soft glow throughout the room, and Selene craned her neck to take a look. He pulled on her arm, and Selene looked up at him and saw that he was making various faces and moving his right hand around. She shook her head. She had no idea what he was trying to say. He moved then, walking into the suite and closing the door with a soft click.

They stood there for a minute, and Selene’s heart pounded in her chest. They were inside Nicholas’s private suite, and when they made themselves known, she wasn’t sure what his reaction would be. Everything had seemed so normal before she had fallen asleep, and now the doubts kept running through her mind.

They both walked farther into the suite, and she looked at everything from the plush furniture to the expensive artwork. The place was perfectly manicured and expensive, just like Nicholas. She felt out of place standing in his space. Did they have anything in common? What would their family and friends think of them being together? If they had a relationship, would the three of them be together? If they went to dinner, would she be Nicholas’s date or Damon’s?

It was well after three in the morning, and she was standing in Nicholas’s doorway unsure of what to do. She looked up at Damon. He let go of her arm and gave her a gentle push, nodding his head. She took a few baby steps and looked over her shoulder at Damon, unsure if she really wanted to do this alone. He shook his head and went back to stand against the front door. It was
obvious she wasn’t going to be able to talk him into confronting Nicholas.

Selene reached the end of the carpet and the hallway. She took off her shoes so that she wouldn’t wake Nicholas with the sound of her shoes. She assumed that he would probably be asleep. When she reached the bedroom, she peeked in. He was sitting up in bed, legs crossed, and a computer on his lap. She could hear his fingers moving quickly across the keys and realized that he was probably unable to get to sleep.

She tapped on the door, not wanting to scare him, and his head whipped up, his eyes burning into her.

“I’m not sure how you got in, but I’m glad you did.” His voice was deep, and his words felt like a caress to her heavy heart.

“Damon. He had your secret keys in his locker,” she said and gave him a half smile, unsure of herself.

“I’m glad he used them. I was just writing you a letter, actually, since I couldn’t sleep.” She watched him swallow and realized that he had been as worried as she was.

“Read it to me.” Selene bit her lip, hoping that he hadn’t said anything nasty in that letter.

“Okay. Come on in and sit down.” He pointed to a seating area next to a large fireplace. She realized then that the soft glow was from the fire and it was large enough to bathe the room. She sat down, pulling her legs up, trying to get as comfortable as possible.

He stared at her for a minute and then picked up his laptop, clicking a few keys before he read. He looked up at her once before he started reading, “My dearest Selene. I’m sorry for leaving you last night. Being able to hold you in my arms felt like I’d finally arrived at home. I finally realized everything that I wanted for so many years had come to life with you at the center. I hope you know that I love you. I love you because you are and have always been a sweet, kind, feisty, thoughtful woman. I never thought that I would get the opportunity to love you. I thought that I would only be able to live in your world for short periods of time and that I could never convince you to live in mine. I want us to be together and not just the two of us. I want to share your love with Damon. He is a huge part of your life and always will be.” Nicholas looked up and shrugged his shoulders. “I had planned on editing it a few times and of course writing a whole lot more about how sorry I am.”

“I’m sorry that you heard part of my conversation with Damon. If you would’ve stayed longer, you might not have left.” She got up from the chair and walked over to the bed, wanting to touch him.

“What else did you talk about?” He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, so that they were finally touching once more.

“I told Damon that I wanted to see where this could go between the three of us. I told him that I didn’t know how this would work and I was a little nervous. I told him that I had feelings for the both of you and that I was so glad I would never have to choose.” She leaned in and pressed her lips against his. He sat on the edge of the bed, stiff at first, and then his whole body relaxed, and he kissed her back.

The sound of someone clearing their throat stopped their progress, and Selene looked ever her shoulder to see Damon leaning against the bedroom door.

“Listen, I hate to break up the lovin’, but I’m tired and we all have to work tomorrow,” Damon said as he walked into the room. He climbed onto the bed and closed his eyes, throwing his arm over his face.

“He’s right. We can talk more after we get some sleep. It’s been a long night.” Nicholas pulled her onto the bed and situated her in the middle so that she was snuggled in between both of them. Selene closed her eyes and stretched, moving around on the bed until she was comfortable. She leaned her back against Damon’s chest, and the lights went out. When the bed shifted, she knew that Nicholas was climbing in. It didn’t take long before she heard gentle snoring. She smiled and focused on sleeping.

  * * * *

Selene woke up and stretched, listening to Nicholas’s voice as he tried to whisper. She felt around the bed, hoping that at least Damon would still be asleep. She moved around on the huge bed, looking for a warm body to cuddle with, but nobody was there. She threw the covers back and went straight to the bathroom to handle her morning business before going in search of her men. There was no way she could confront them with morning breath, especially when her mouth felt like she had been sucking on cotton.

The place seemed quiet, and in the light of day, the suite looked even more sterile. It didn’t seem to fit Nicholas. The house that they were at last night was more his style and fit his personality better. She walked into the bathroom, splashed cool water on her face, grabbed a toothbrush, and applied a huge layer of toothpaste. As she brushed her teeth, she looked around the bedroom a little more, trying to find something that would make this place seem personal.

When she felt a little more awake, she followed the voice out of the bedroom and into the huge sitting area. Nicholas had his cell phone to his ear, and he was pacing around the room, talking with his hands. He looked amazing decked out in a suit, his face shaved, and his hair with the perfect amount of gel. When he caught a glimpse of her standing in the room watching him, he smiled at her and quickly ended his conversation.

“I’m sorry if I woke you up. I’ll be heading out in a few minutes. I have a meeting.” Selene walked over to him and stretched up onto her toes to kiss him. They met in the middle, and she let her tongue dance around his, tasting coffee and mint.

“I hope you have a good day. I’m going to take a shower and then…shit.” She remembered that she had no clothes, nothing.

  “What?” He looked concerned.

“I wore your sweats and T-shirt here last night. I have no clothes. I have to be at work in a little bit, and I have no way to get home.”

“Damon left early to go get you some clothes. He’ll be back soon. One thing you should realize is that you have two men now who plan on taking very good care of you.” He smirked at her, and she felt herself calm down instantly. Damon had always taken care of her. “I’d better head out. I’ve got to get to my meeting. Take your time, and Damon will be here soon.”

She grabbed him and kissed him hard, hating the fact that they would be separated all day. Opening his mouth with hers, she deepened the kiss. Tongue met tongue, and he moaned. She moved her hand and pressed it to the front of his black dress pants. She rubbed the hard length of his rigid cock. He pushed his hips closer and moved. She gripped the outline of his erection through his pants and reached for his zipper with her free hand. She pulled it down and unfastened the top button.

“Selene,” he groaned, trying to pull away from her iron grip.

“You have time. You’re the boss.” She shoved his pants down, glad that he wasn’t wearing any underwear. “Pick me up.”

Nicholas grabbed her hips, lifting her higher into his arms. She wrapped her legs around his bare hips, loving the way his skin felt against hers. Her body was primed and ready when he entered her quickly. His hands cupped her ass tightly as he thrust into her pussy hard and fast. Selene pressed her face against his shoulder, moaning loudly, needing more.

She held onto him tightly for leverage so that she could grind her hips. He moved, then, finding the wall and slamming her back against it. He pounded into her harder. In minutes, she was screaming his name as the climax tore through her. Nicholas followed behind her within seconds. He held her body against his, and she moved enough to kissing his neck.

Selene giggled. “I hope you have a good day at work. I’ll miss you.”

“I’ll be thinking about you all day.” Nicholas moved, then, and she unlocked her legs. When her feet touched the ground, she leaned into him and pulled his face toward her for a kiss. This time she let him pull away. He adjusted his clothes, took a deep breath, and headed for the front door. She smiled as she watched him. Could she expect amazing sex all the time? Could she really live with two men? She nibbled on her lip and waited to move until the door clicked behind him. She decided that, yes, she could, and she wanted to have both Damon and Nicho
las.

Selene headed back into the bathroom and started the shower. She wanted to be ready when Damon arrived with her clothes. They were going to have to figure out how to leave the hotel without being noticed. She really didn’t want to deal with any gossipers, although part of her really didn’t care what anyone thought. She was still afraid that people would call her nasty names, especially if they found out that she was with two men. Did she care as long as she was happy? That question stopped her, and she frowned, thinking about it more.

The shower door opened, and Selene jerked back, covering her body until she saw that it was Damon. He was naked, and his cock pointed straight at her. He climbed in the shower and held out his hand, and she placed the bar of soap in it. He touched her, letting the soap move over her body. He focused on her breasts.

“I think my nipples are clean.” He grinned and moved lower, focusing on her pussy next.

“I brought you some clothes, and I was able to get your car,” he said.

“Wow. You must’ve been up early this morning.” She was genuinely surprised, knowing that they all had missed a lot of sleep last night. She imagined that Damon had only really gotten a few hours.

“I didn’t want you to be embarrassed. I know how you would feel a little awkward walking down to the casino in Nick’s sweats.”

“You’re so sweet, and you know me way too well.” She smiled at him as he knelt down and soaped her legs.

“I do, and you know me just as well. Is everything okay with Nicholas?” he asked.

“Everything is great. He had a meeting today. He left a little while ago.” She relaxed for a minute and then realized that she had no idea what time it was. She jolted a minute. “Crap. What time is it?”

“Almost ten.” She quickly dove under the water and washed her body off. She opened the door and jumped out, feeling a bit panicked. She knew that she needed to be at the shop in thirty minutes and she hadn’t had her coffee or eaten anything yet. She dried off in a hurry and ran into the bedroom, spotting her clothes on the bed. She got dressed in record time. She was putting her boots on when Damon stepped out of the bathroom. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and looked incredibly edible in that moment. She wished she had more time so that they could enjoy each other, but she was running behind schedule.
