Henry slammed his fist into Enver’s face. “Mind your manners, asshole. Give Mr. Ingles a little time to prepare Miss. Kaur for her murder, then take this piece of shit in to watch.”

Enver spat at Henry who ignored it. “She trusted you,” Enver growled, beyond angry now. “How can you do this to her?”

“Do what?” Henry asked. “She’s already dead – I know because I read the eulogy at her funeral.”

He walked out, and Enver struggled with his captors until they heard Frederick Ingles call “Bring Toscano in.”

Enver, his mouth full of blood, went cold when he saw Padme tied to a chair, her shirt torn open. Frederick gestured to the chair opposite her. “Put him there. I want him to get a good seat to watch her bleed.”

Padme met Enver’s eyes; they were full of sorrow. “I’m sorry,” she said, “this is my fault.”

“I love you,” he said softly, but then screamed with rage and grief as Frederick drove the knife into Padme’s side. She gasped at the pain of it, not wanting to cry out, or give Frederick Ingles the satisfaction. He looked pleased with himself anyway, wrenching the blade from her.

“Finally,” he breathed as if the act of stabbing Padme had released some kind of tension within him. He smiled at a raging, devastated Enver. “As I told Padme over and over, this was inevitable. Now, I’m going to enjoy this, as we take it slow.”

He drew back his arm to stab her again, but there was a sound of breaking the glass and a small red dot appeared on Frederick’s face, just beneath his right eye. He looked confused for a second then dropped like a stone, crumpling to the ground, his eyes open and staring. The red dot began to trail down his face – the bullet lodged in his brain. A sniper had taken him out – finally Frederick Ingles was dead.

Enver didn’t hesitate. He lurched forward towards a bleeding Padme and untied her from the chair, pulling her into his arms. A second later, Lisa, Arlo Forrester and a bunch of black-clothed men burst into the room. Enver gaped at them all for a second, then turned his attention back to his lover.

Padme held her hand over her stab wound, pressing down, keeping the blood inside. She looked up at him with frightened eyes. “The baby,” she whispered, and in that second, all that mattered to Enver was getting his beloved Padme to a hospital and saving their future together.

Dale was getting used to the wheelchair now, and so when no nurses were looking, he scooted down to Padme’s room. She was laying on top of her bed, looking bored, but grinned when she saw him.

  “You’ll get in trouble.”

“I don’t care,” he said, grinning. “You look better.”

Padme nodded. “Much. It wasn’t that deep, but they’re keeping me for observation. The baby is fine though, the little slugger that she is.”

  “It’s a girl?”

Padme grinned. “I don’t know that for sure, I just feel it. Anyway, how about you? You getting out of that thing anytime soon?”

Dale shrugged. “Looks like. I have to say, I’m kind of sick of hospitals at the moment.”

  “I’ll bet. Dale, look, I’m…”

“If you say you’re sorry one more time, Pad, I will kick your ass. From this wheelchair.”

“Try it, bitch.” But she grinned at him. Dale glanced around the room.

“Where’s Enver? Thought you two were joined at the hip?”

Padme laughed. “At the groin, actually.”

  “T.M.I.”

She chuckled. “Severin wrestled him into submission and made him go to her house for food, a shower, and some rest. God, it sounds so good to say that. So good to know we can now move freely around, be open…god, heaven.”

“Yeah, because it must have been so rough in The Maldives,” Dale looked at her askance, and she grinned, acquiescing.

“It is paradise, I won’t argue that, but you weren’t there. My family is here, Dale.”

Dale smiled at her. “I had heard about a move to Italy. We’re not there, either.”

“The difference being you could come there, doofus.”

  “I know.”

They sat in companionable silence for a few minutes then Dale said. “You haven’t mentioned him.”

Padme sighed. “Henry? No. I don’t want to hear his name, speak it or talk about him.”

  “His trial will be something.”

  Padme nodded grimly. “Bastard.”

  “Yes.”

Padme’s expression cleared. “Enough of him. The future is all that matters now.”

Dale nodded. “You, Enver and the Bean. You guys getting married?”

Padme shrugged. “He hasn’t asked me.”

“You should ask him. The Sisterhood might forgive you then.”

Padme grinned. “In all truth, I’m honestly not bothered about being married. I want to be with Enver for all time – a piece of paper isn’t going to change that.”

Later, when Enver returned, looking refreshed and relaxed for the first time in weeks, Padme kissed him hello. “Docs say they’re letting me out tomorrow.”

Enver smiled, pulling her against him. “Good. I’m ready for our life to begin, Pad, at last.

  “At last.”

  Three months later

His lips trailed along the length of her spine until they rested against the back of her neck. “Are you ready for me, il mia amore?”

He pushed her thick dark hair away from her face as she nodded and gently, he parted her legs and thrust his rampant cock into her swollen, wet cunt. Padme gasped, her face turning towards him so he could kiss her as they fucked, his hands pinning hers to the bed.

Outside, the sea rushed against the cliffs of the Italian coast, the sun pelted down, heating the ground. Enver braced himself as he began to fuck her harder and deeper and longer until she was crying his name out again and again. He came, hard, groaning, telling her again and again how much he loved her.

Afterward, they lay, wrapped in each other’s arms, Enver’s hand splayed across the small bump in her belly. And now they knew – a girl…and a boy. Twins. They hadn’t expected it, but it had been a source of great joy to them when they found out.

Padme had found the house by accident, randomly browsing properties on an Italian website but when she saw it. she knew she had found their home. A recently renovated farmhouse, huge, with an indoor pool, and plenty of space for their children to run and play and be free. Enver had agreed, and the sale had gone through within a few days.

They had been here for a month now, and in Padme’s heart, she knew she had found her place in the world.

She looked at her lover now and smiled at him. “Ti amo, Enver Toscano.”

He grinned and kissed her. “Ti amo, Padme.” He picked up her left hand and traced a circle around her third finger. “Sposami?” He asked in a soft, almost nervous voice because they’d talked about it, but not seriously.

Now though, and despite what she’d told Dale, Padme looked into the glorious green eyes of the man she loved and could only think of one thing she wanted to say.

  “Si, Enver, si, si, si…”

And she kissed him more passionately than she ever had before.

  The End.

  His Sweet Torment Extended Epilogue

  A Billionaire Romance Story

  By Michelle Love

For the first time in her life, Padme Kaur wasn’t looking forward to going back to Seattle. Her life was here now, with Enver and the two babies growing inside her. They were flying back on his private plane against doctor’s orders, but Padme was determined to be there for the trial of her mentor, Henry, the man who had traded her and Enver’s lives for a quick buck.

She stroked her hand idly over the bump in her belly. For eight months, she was small, much to her surprise, seeing as she was eating everything in sight.

Enver had even brought hot food for her onto the plane, and she had an empty bowl of his pasta next to her now as he massaged her feet. She grinned over at him. “You spoil me.”

; Enver, his bright green eyes twinkling at her, shook his head. “You’re carrying my children, Pad. There’s no such thing as spoiling you.”

She sighed. “You’re perfect, you know that?”

Enver snorted. “I’ll remind you of that when you’re giving birth and cursing me to hell.” Padme laughed, but a curl of unease was settling inside of her. She would never admit it to Enver, but the thought of giving birth scared her senseless. Not the pain nor the many people who would see her exposed and naked, but afterward—the two little lives she would be responsible for.

The pregnancy hadn’t been planned, and although Padme knew she wanted her children desperately, there was something else nagging at her. The horror through which they had lived wasn’t over—not until they found Henry Jones guilty and put him away for life—if that did happen. Henry had a lot of friends in the F.B.I., even after his betrayal and even after he had colluded with the now-dead Frederick Ingles. And then there was Ingles’ remaining family. Padme was terrified they’d come after them and hurt the children. Both Enver and their friend Arlo Forrester had assured her that the Ingles family had scattered, not wanting Frederick’s fate for themselves, but Padme could not help thinking there might be a rogue member out there, bent on revenge.

“Cara mia.” Enver gently put her feet down on the floor and stood, offering her his hand. Padme grinned. She knew immediately what he was suggesting—his plane had a very private, very comfortable bedroom in the back.

He stripped her quickly, Padme laughing at his eagerness. Pregnancy had made him crave her body even more it seemed, and now as she straddled him, stroking his thick, long cock in her hands, she enjoyed the admiration and love in his eyes. His hands stroked her swollen belly, then slipped between her legs to caress her clit. In turn, pregnancy had made her hornier than ever, and their sex life was even more active now than it had ever been.

Padme slowly impaled herself onto his diamond-hard cock, sighing at the feel of him filling her so entirely. “God, you’re so big, Enver. So good.”

His fingers gripped her hips as she began to ride him, moving easily in rhythm with him, their eyes locked and the connection between them unbreakable. Enver cupped her large breasts in his hands, stroking her nipples until they were so sensitive Padme could scream. She began to move quicker, ramming herself onto his cock and taking him in as deep as possible. She honestly could spend all day, every day fucking this gorgeous, gorgeous man—her fiancé. They hadn’t set a date for the wedding yet. They wanted to wait until the twins were born. Neither of them wanted a big, fussy wedding; Padme had her heart set on being married at their farmhouse in the Italian countryside, and Enver agreed.

“Principessa, I am close,” Enver said now, panting, his face damp with sweat and his gorgeous green eyes soft with love. She nodded, feeling his cock pump thick, creamy cum deep inside her. Padme arched her back as she came, feeling him stroke her belly and hearing him murmur her name again and again. Afterward, she nestled into his arms and they kissed and talked for a while before falling asleep. Padme was woken an hour later by the twins kicking up a storm in her womb. “Quiet, you two,” she murmured fondly, and to her amazement, they settled down.

When she woke, they were in Washington.

“You’ll be called first, Ms. Kaur, so if you wouldn’t mind waiting here. Because of your condition, is there anything you need to make you feel more comfortable?”

Padme half-smiled at the court clerk. “The defendant in jail for the rest of his life?”

The clerk laughed. “Well, now, I think that’s down to you, sweetheart. I’ll make sure you have some water in the witness stand.”

  “Thank you. You’re very kind.”

Enver smiled at the clerk as she left the room, then came to sit next to Padme. He kissed her gently, stroking her cheek. “Cara mia, you got this. Let’s end this once and for all.”

Padme nodded, her stomach in knots. “It’s seeing him that’s making me feel sick. To know this man who I trusted, who I thought was like my surrogate father figure, arranged for my murder—and your murder, Henry—who I thought loved me …how could he have thrown that all away for money?”

Enver pressed his lips to her forehead. “I will never understand. Padme, I know this has been bothering you for all these months, but there’s something else, isn’t there?”

She looked up at him, realizing he saw her more than she knew. “I’m scared, Enver. Our children …if anything should happen to us …”

“We can’t control everything, cara mia. If it’s Ingles you’re still worried about, that I can at least reassure you on. Everything else …we’ll handle.”

Padme leaned against him and closed her eyes. “It has been a rollercoaster, hasn’t it?”

Enver chuckled. “You can say that again. I don’t regret one moment with you.”

Padme kissed him. “Me either. I love you.”

He pressed his lips to hers fiercely. “Marry me soon.”

She nodded, lingering over the kiss. “All I want is to be your wife, Enver.”

“Ms. Kaur? They’re ready for you.”

Afterward, all Padme could remember was that Henry didn’t take his eyes from her once as she testified. His lawyer, a real piece of work, focused on her relationship with Enver, making her appear unprofessional and weak. Padme had to check her temper many times. The lawyer even managed to paint Henry as someone who had given her and Enver up to Frederick Ingles so that no one else would die.

“It’s my understanding, ex-Agent Kaur, that you were the one to find Chaley Sanders’ body?”

  “Yes.”

The lawyer nodded slowly, seemingly thoughtful. “And that your friend, Harpa Malhotra, was also attacked?”

“Yes.” Padme felt the babies kicking and shifted in her chair. The lawyer noticed.

  “Are you uncomfortable, ex-Agent Kaur?”

“Ms. Kaur, and I’m fine, thank you.”

“Ms. Kaur,” the lawyer smirked, and Padme resisted the urge to slap his smug face. “I also understand that, at the time, Frederick Ingles had made it clear to you that if you were to run, he would harm everyone you loved …and yet you still left to follow Mr. Toscano?”

“Objection, your honor. Ms. Kaur is not on trial here.”

“Sustained. Mr. Cleaver, please refrain from haranguing the witness.”

“Of course, your honor. Ms. Kaur, you are best friends with your former Agency partner, Dale Fortuna, is that correct?”

  “It is.”

“And Mr. Fortuna was badly beaten and left for dead by Frederick Ingles’ men, yes?”

  Padme glared at him. “Yes.”

Cleaver nodded. “And where were you when this happened?”

  “Objection.”

“Overruled. Please answer the question, Ms. Kaur.”

Padme let out a long breath. “The Maldives.”

“The Maldives?” Cleaver made a big deal of sounding incredulous even though he had to have known this information. “So, you were running for your life …in an island paradise?”

Padme’s lawyer shot up from his seat again. “Objection, your honor.”

  “Sustained. Mr. Cleaver …”

  “No further questions, your honor.”

“Motherfucker.” Padme raged, pacing up and down the waiting room. “Asshole piece of crap.” She felt on the edge of tears. Enver put his arms around her, and Padme tensed up for a moment before relaxing into him. “He made me sound like a whore. An unprofessional whore.”

“The jury will know what he was up to, Padme,” her lawyer, Ben Kline, said. “He’s desperate. Painting you as a liability is the only thing he has, and he knows that probably won’t work. You took bullets for Enver, and we know for a fact that Henry was the one who gave Dedalus the gun. Believe me, the jury is going to hate Henry as much as we do by the time I’ve finished with him.”

“He’s going into the witness box?”

Ben nodded. “He’ll paint you as someone who l
ost her way. Say that it broke his heart and he could see that the only way to protect people was to give you up.”

“The money trail, however …” Enver added. He and Ben exchanged a look that Padme didn’t understand.

“What? What are you keeping from me?”

Enver cleared his throat. “Nothing, sweetheart, except that you don’t have to worry about anything. Henry Jones won’t get to spend a penny of that money.”

Padme relaxed. “Good.” She felt washed-out. “Can we go back to the hotel now?”

Enver ran his hand down her silky hair. “Of course, baby.”

“Do you want to go out to eat, or shall we get room service?” Enver’s hand hovered over the hotel room phone.

“Oh, room service, please, if that’s okay with you. I just want a hot bath, some good food, and you. I need to get the stink of the case off of me.”

Enver grinned. “Sounds perfect. Here’s the menu. Choose what you would like, and I’ll go run you a bath.”

Padme smiled at him. “I love you, Toscano.”

He gave her the finger pistols, making her giggle, and disappeared into the bathroom. Padme sat back on the bed and looked around the vast suite—the best in Seattle, of course. The view out of the huge glass windows was worth the price alone. She wished she could call Dale and brag, but the lawyer had advised them to stay apart until after Dale had testified the next day. “We don’t want even a hint of impropriety or collusion,” Ben said firmly. “Our case is tight, but it could always be tighter, you know?”

The same went for Padme’s mother, Severin. They had spoken briefly on the telephone, but Severin had agreed with Ben Kline. “We have plenty of time, Pad. Stay strong.”

So, for the moment, it was just her and Enver, and she couldn’t complain about that. She glanced down at the menu, choosing the steak and fries—she needed the iron and the grease, she figured.

Enver joined her in the tub, and she lay back against him. He traced soapy patterns on her swollen belly. “We haven’t discussed any names for the kids, you know.”
