  F

OR YEARS, NOAH HAD IMAGINED THIS NIGHT. He imagined it the first time he stepped onto Weston’s campus.

  He would win the championship.

He would celebrate the night drunkenly, and whatever extremely hot girl that was near would warm his bed to make it a truly special night.

And he wouldn't just get the acknowledgment of the world but of his father.

But Noah had never expected it to be like this; to be surrounded by so much love that he felt like he was on a different planet.

"Noah! Noah! Noah! Noah!" The crowd chanted as Noah's teammates carried him around the restaurant.

Magic was in the air, and though the game had been hours ago, Noah still felt like he was on the ice even with the trophy in his hand. Noah kissed the trophy, raising it above his head triumphantly. The crowd cheered, clapping in celebration of the night won. The restaurant was packed to the brim to the point that many people stood outside, having their own celebration.

Noah laughed, and eventually, his teammates put him back down. He took the claps to his back as he made his way over to Melanie, who was tucked in the corner, her bright brown eyes smiling for him. When Noah reached her, he picked her up, twirling her around.

"Noah," Melanie whined, slapping his arm, and he put her down, though he didn't remove his hold on her. "The Dean is here."

"Fuck the Dean," Noah said, not caring about anyone else right now. He was living in a dream-like state, and right now, he didn't care about people who needed to mind their business. What he did with Melanie was his business and his business alone. And right now, Noah planned to do a lot with her.

"Come with me," Noah said as he grabbed her wrist, whisking her away from the party.

"Noah," Melanie said in a warning tone as he took her to the women's bathroom. Luckily, there was no one inside, and Noah tugged her into the last stall, locking the door behind them.

"I know you don't think we're about to do something here," Melanie said, folding her arms on top of each other, giving him a pointed glare. Noah couldn't help it. He laughed uncontrollably.

"What's so funny?" she asked with a small smile.

"God, I've missed you," Noah admitted. It had been so long, and for a moment, he really believed all was lost. When Melanie had left him, it was painful, and he felt lost without her. He knew he would have to move on and knew he could if he tried. But that's the thing. He didn't want to. He didn't want to be without her.

Melanie ducked her head down, blushing. "I missed you too."

Noah grinned, leaning closer in her space, and her defense state dropped as her arms fell to her side.

Noah lifted her head, amused by her embarrassment, looking in her eyes before he kissed her. He kissed her again and again, having missed her lips for so long. Melanie wrapped her arms around him, tugging him closer as she kissed him back with equal passion that let him know that Melanie had held her feelings back for a long time too.

The reason he couldn't be angry with her was not because of the chaotic energy of the night, but because he knew she hadn't left him to hurt him, but for the exact opposite. Melanie seemed hard on the outside at times, but on the inside, she was goo, fluffy as a piece of cotton candy and equally as sweet.

But though he wasn't angry, there was a fear in him that he couldn't ignore. It felt like every time he had her in his arms, she was snatched away. He couldn’t keep a hold of her, and Noah didn’t know if something else in the future would take her away again.

"Tell me you love me," Noah whispered against her lips, wanting to hear it from her own mouth. He hiked up her dress, slipping off her panties with ease. It wasn't ideal. He would have rather been anywhere else but here, but he needed her and had missed her direly. He snatched his belt off, unbuckling his pants.

"I love you," she whispered, and when he tried to free himself from his briefs, she stopped him, grabbing his face and forcing him to look at her. "I never stopped loving you, Noah. I just wanted what—"

Noah kissed her words away, knowing the rest. He released his member, and in one fell swoop, slipped inside of her. Melanie gasped, and Noah gave her a second to adjust before he hoisted her up against the wall and started pounding in her.

"Oh, fuck. I missed you so much," Melanie whimpered in his ear. "Fuck me, harder. Please."

Noah obliged, stroking in deeper as Melanie braced the wall. She was wetter than the ocean, and her soft, breathy moans made him harder. He wanted to hear more, wanted to hear how loud she could really be, but he also knew that they were playing a dangerous game, and it wouldn't be long before someone came in here.

Just as that thought crossed his mind, the door opened. Melanie was so caught up in her own pleasure that she didn't seem to notice, and though Melanie's moans were always music to his ears, her anger wasn't. Noah placed a hand over her mouth, muffling her moans. Melanie's eyes popped open, and then she heard what he heard. Noah could see the fear in her eyes. But he didn't want her to be like this.

Noah slowly pumped up, and Melanie looked at him wide-eyed, with a warning stare. Noah did it again, a long deep stroke that made Melanie squeeze her eyes tight in pleasure as she whimpered. Noah moved his mouth to her ear.

"You want me to move my hand so they can hear your filthy moans, Professor."

Melanie whimpered again, her nipples rock hard beneath her dress. Noah pumped in her again with slow teasing strokes as Melanie's eyes misted.

"I wonder where Noah went," someone said. Noah peered out the crack of the stall door and saw a girl standing in front of the mirror with her friend, placing make-up on. Noah recognized a puck bunny when he saw one.

"I've been searching for him all night, but too many people are in the way. How am I supposed to get to know the Beast with all these people around?"

"You want to do more than get to know him," her friend said, giggling.

"Okay, maybe I want to see what his bed looks like too," the girl admitted, laughing as well.

A few months ago, that kind of girl would have been in his bed. A win, a drunken night with his friends, and picking up some puck bunny, who wanted her name associated with his. But here he was in a stall with Melanie, the woman who once had been his professor, fucking her nice and slow, watching her lose it. He wouldn't trade it for anything else. Noah dropped his hand and quickly replaced it with his mouth. Melanie bit on his lip as he changed his angle, so he could dive in deeper. He could feel everything, all of her, sparking pleasure throughout his body.

"Let's go, so we can find him," the girl said before she left out with her friend. The moment she did, Melanie released his lip and slapped his back, hard.

  "What?" Noah asked innocently, pausing.

"They could have heard us," she argued, and before she could continue, Noah put his hand over her mouth and fucked her again, his strokes much faster. Noah could feel the vibrations of her moans on the palms of his hand, and though the feeling was great, he wanted to hear her music again, so he dropped his hand.

"Harder," she crocked out before kissing him. Noah held on to her tighter, going into her harder as their skin slapped together, and from the way she clamped down on him, Noah couldn't hold it any longer.

"I'm going to cum, baby," Noah told her. He wished he could hold on longer. He wanted it to last forever, but she felt too good.

"Me too," Melanie whined, and then he felt it as she spasmed on his cock. Noah reluctantly pulled out and shot his load against the wall.

They both breathed heavily as they held each other in their sweat. Noah lowered Melanie to the floor.

"You know that wasn't a part of the bet, right?" Noah said as he buckled up his pants. "You got to give me way more than that tonight to satisfy a champ."

"Oh, I will," Melanie said, confidently, her eyes sparkling with her desire. And Noah couldn't help but anticipate what was in store for him later.

After they both finished cleaning themselves up, Melanie said,
"You do understand why I did it, right?" She caressed his cheek in the palm of her hands, looking into his eyes.

"I know,” Noah said. “But what's best for me is you being by my side, not away from me."

  "Okay," Melanie said.

"No more leaving me," Noah told her. Even if it was unreasonable, he didn't want her to leave his side again.

"I guess I can do that unless you cheat on me or something like that," Melanie said, giving him a narrowed gaze.

"Not possible," Noah told her as he opened the stall door.

"Even though you're now going to become one of the biggest players on the market?" Melanie asked as she turned on the water and washed her hands. Noah washed his hands too, glancing at the door just to make sure no one was coming in.

Noah's life was going to change soon. He had already put his name in the draft last year around the holidays, and with the end of the school year closing out soon, the draft would be up. Noah was sure he would be drafted. He just didn't know what team he would be drafted to. Noah still hoped it was the same team he had always dreamed of going to.

"Nope," Noah assured Melanie as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, guiding her to the door. "I don't want anyone else but my professor."

"Noah," Melanie said, slapping his shoulder. Noah chuckled and opened the door and was surprised to see his little brother. Melanie yelped.

"What are you doing here?" Noah asked, glancing at Melanie to make sure she looked fine. The lipstick she had worn before was gone, and her hair was slightly tousled, but other than that, she looked beautiful as usual.

"Everybody is looking for you," Timothy said, looking at Noah suspiciously. "So, I was going to check the men's bathroom, but you were here in the women’s bathroom."

"Yeah, I walked into the wrong bathroom," Noah lied easily. He had a feeling he wouldn't be able to sneak off with ease, and if he went to the men's bathroom, people were definitely going to look for him there. And then, on the other hand, there was no way Noah was fucking Melanie in the men's bathroom. He wouldn’t chance another man being able to hear Melanie’s sweet moans.

"Yeah, I bet," Timothy said, looking at Melanie pointedly. Melanie blushed, looking down. Noah chuckled. He playfully ruffled his brother's hair, dropping his arm on his shoulder before they all walked back out to the party.

"Where have you've been, my boy?" Coach Benson asked as he clapped Noah's shoulder. "You're missing out on the fun."

"I doubt it," Noah said, winking at Melanie, who glared at him before she walked off in the direction of Abi. Noah was ready to follow her, wanting to catch up on missed time.

"Hey, let me ask you a question, Walker," Coach Benson said as he brought Noah closer. Noah arched a brow, wondering what Coach Benson had to ask him. "Who is your friend over there?"

Coach Benson pointed in the direction of a woman, who stood talking to a group of recruiters. She had dark brown skin that shined under the light, thick, full lips that were coated with red lipstick, and deep dimples broke through every time she smiled. Her loose curls draped her shoulder, and the black dress she wore showed off her tiny figure. Noah couldn't blame Coach Benson for taking notice of her. Most men would. The woman said something, and all the people around her laughed.

"Jordyn Davis," Noah said. "She's my sports agent. She's being kind enough to keep the horde off me for now."

Noah had met many potential agents before, most of them coming from his father's direction. But in his desire to control his career, Noah usually ignored anyone his father brought his way.

A few months back, Jordyn had found him, and surprisingly enough, she had nothing to do with his father, which made him intrigued by her. She saw his potential without his father’s help. But that wasn't the only reason he picked her. She was highly successful and known for making the best deals for her clients and having great relationships with them. And so far, she had been doing a good job.

"Hmm," Coach Benson hummed as he looked at Jordyn intently. Though Noah was glad Coach Benson's attention was off Melanie now, and he had taken the hint, Noah couldn't help but feel bad for his coach. He was always punching above his weight.

"I don't think you have a chance, Coach," Noah said as he glanced back over to where Melanie stood, talking to Abigail. It was then that he noticed his mother walking over to her. In fear of what his mother might say to her, Noah made a move to leave, but Coach Benson stopped him.

"What do you know, Walker?" Coach Benson asked. "Let me know what I can do to seal this deal. She looks like a woman of means."

After speaking to Jordyn on a few occasions, Noah could say that she was a persuasive, charming, hard-working woman. But Coach Benson definitely wasn't in her league. Besides, Jordyn was too busy sealing deals herself to notice any man around her. Coach Benson would be on a fool's journey to pursue her.

"Just take my advice," Noah said as he kept his eyes on the scene before him. Now, his mother was talking to Melanie. Melanie's body was slightly stiff as his mother spoke. Noah clenched his jaw with worry. "See you later," Noah told Coach Benson before he made his way over to Melanie. And by the time he got past the crowd to her, to his surprise, Melanie was all smiles.

"What's so funny?" Noah asked curiously. His mother and Melanie looked at him before they chuckled some more.

"They’re just laughing at you, lover boy," Abigail said as she hopped down from the stool. "If you’ll excuse me, I think I have a man to catch."

"Is everything okay?" Noah asked, glancing back and forth between his mother and Melanie. The last time his mother had a conversation with Melanie, she left him. He didn't want to go through that again.

"We're fine," his mother said, her eyes filled with warmth as she leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "I'm proud of you."

"Thanks, mom," Noah said, knowing that even if he had lost the championship, his mother would say the same thing. She had always been on his side, and though he was disappointed by what had transpired between them, he knew she loved him.

"Let's meet up for lunch, Melanie. I'll show you some of his baby pictures and videos. If you think my son is arrogant now, you should see what he was like as a child."

Melanie smiled brightly. "I'm looking forward to it, and thanks, Alice."

His mother nodded before she walked away. Noah found himself stuck. He looked at Melanie with a questioning gaze, but she just shrugged.

"A conversation between women," she explained simply.

"So, I'm just a boy to you, huh?" Noah said. "You weren't saying that earlier."

Melanie shook her head, her eyes smiling, and Noah couldn't help but smile back. This night was everything he had hoped for and more, and he got to spend it with the woman he was in love with.

"Are you ready?" Noah asked Melanie.

"Ready for what?" Melanie asked as she leaned against the wall behind her.

"Everything," Noah said, leaning closer to her. "What our life is going to be like now."

"Our life?" Melanie asked with a quirked brow. See, that was the thing that Melanie didn't understand yet, but eventually, she would. What they had would be forever. He didn't see it any other way, and in his future, there was her, no one else.

  "Everything," Noah repeated.

Melanie stared at him for a second, biting down on her bottom lip, a habit of hers that she did when she was thinking. And in the past, Noah would try to stop her, wanting Melanie to live in the moment. But now, Noah didn't want her to do that. He wanted her to live in the present with him, and in the future with him too. His future right now wasn't necessarily clear, but he saw her there with him. He wanted her there with him.

Finally, she released her bottom lip and sighed deeply. “Fuck it,” she said. “I’m all in.”

“All bets are off now,” Noah said, tugging her to him as he looked in her eyes, getting lost in them like he had the first time he met her on the third week of the fall semester. “No more running.”
/>
“What if I want you to chase me forever?” she asked, cheekily, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

“Then I will,” Noah said. “As long as it’s forever.”

Melanie smiled brightly, and Noah smiled back too. He would chase his professor forever.

  AUTHOR NOTES

Hey, Readers! I hoped you enjoyed The Best Professor as much as I enjoyed writing it. I’m not going to lie; this book took much longer than expected. I thought I would be able to sneak in a book really quick while doing the Blood War Series, but this book did take longer than planned. But, I feel that it was worth it, and I hope you’ll feel the same. Melanie and Noah had a long journey from being enemies to friends to lovers, so I had to take my time exploring their story. And honestly, there is still more story to tell with them. Let me know, if you’ll like to see these two come back.

Soon, I’ll be back with the second part of the Best series, and of course, the continuation of the Blood War series with Evelyn and Pierce. I’m just not quite yet sure which will come first. It depends on which one I complete first. Thanks again for reading, and I’ll hope you stick with me to the end.

  Thanks for reading!
