Dirty Royals (A Sexy Manhattan Fairytale: Part Three) Page 8

by Michelle A. Valentine

I follow Yamada’s sightline. Sitting in the second row behind Aggie and Darby is Jess, her mother, and a balding man in a black suit, who I assume is her father.

Her nostrils flare as the scowl on her face deepens. “This is ridiculous.”

“But is necessary since you try to break up King and his hottie. No more tricking Yamada.”

She pops up from her chair. “I don’t have to sit here and take this. Come on, Mother. Father.” Her mother instantly follows the command, but her father stays put. “Daddy. Let’s go.”

He crosses his arms. “No, sit your spoiled ass down. Today is not about you. Alexander is clearly marrying the woman he loves, and I’m tired of you bugging me about the situation. Mr. King’s love life no longer involves you and is no longer your concern, so you sit here and keep your mouth shut.”

Jess’ mouth drops open, while her mother returns to her seat.

Her mother tugs at the hem of her dress. “Sit down, dear. We’ve embarrassed ourselves enough.”

Jess huffs and then plops down onto the chair like a spoiled child who hasn’t gotten her way.

Yamada clears his throat. “Okay. Next.” His eyes sweep side to side as he reads. “Blah. Blah. Boring. Oh. Good part.” He glances up at us. “Do you, King, take Dime Piece to be your wife? Do you promise to take care of her, bang her on the regular, and fight any man who tries to slip her da pickle?”

The room roars with laughter, and even Alexander and I can’t keep a straight face.

  “Yeah. I do,” Alexander agrees.

“Good. Now, Dime Piece, do you promise to take King to be your husband? Do you promise to take care of him, put up with his asshole ways, and not try to get with Yamada no matter how tempting this madafaka is?”

I snicker, and everyone seems equally amused.

  “I do.”

“Marvelous!” Yamada shouts and then tosses the paper over his shoulder. “You are now married and have permission to slip each other the tongue.”

Alexander wraps his arms around me, dips me back, and kisses me as I’ve never been kissed before. “I love you, Margo.”

  “And I love you, Alexander.”

Everyone stands and claps, while Alexander rights us. Both of us beaming and still laughing.

Yamada throws his arms around both of us. “Yamada get’s to come to the honeymoon, yes?”

“Not this time, buddy. We’re taking this trip solo,” Alexander replies.

“Ah, man, but Yamada loves Vegas.”

  “Vegas?” I ask.

Alexander nods and then whispers in my ear, “We have reservations at the Hard Rock. I think we need to give that Provocateur Suite another shot.”

My face heats up as I think about all the things he did to me while I was strapped to the table in that room and how much I enjoyed it. Every inch of me is alive with excitement. “How soon can we leave?”

“The jet is waiting. You just say when.”

My fingers curl around his blue tie, and I yank him next to me. “When.”

He rakes his teeth over his bottom lip in a slow and deliberately sexy manner before he crushes his mouth to mine. It’s amazing how far we’ve come together. I know deep inside what we have is going to last forever.
