The invitation sounded like a throw away, but Amanda could see what it cost him. It was a start.
“That would be nice.”
He nuzzled her ear. “I know a tape we can listen to when we wake up.”
She pulled away to hit his chest in mock indignation and her eyes met his face. His sunglasses were pushed up into his hair. Her breath caught as she realized his eyes were no longer hidden. She smiled.
“We could always just make another one.”
