As if reading her mind, Father said, “We bought that and a Scamp. I’m taking your mom around the country. It’s already packed.”
“We’d better not hold you up.” Waylon grabbed her hand and pulled them up. “Shilene, would you do the honors?”
For the first time, Shilo saw her mother look at Waylon with more than disgust and bitterness. “I’d be proud to, Waylon Wolf.”
Shilo faced her mate. The ceremony was a blur, the cut of the dagger nothing more than a pinch as they mingled their blood and bonded their souls.
Waylon traced his fingers along her cheek. “Shilo…Wolf?”
She smiled. He was asking, but he wouldn’t care if she changed her name to something completely different. He was hers and she was his. “Shilo Ironhorse-Wolf. But you can still call me princess.”
